This study originated from the fact CHD be the cause of death in the world. CHD negatively impact the physical and psychological condition of patients, such as depression. One of the factors that affect the condition of depression is the ability to self-acceptance. Some research indicates that the ability of self-acceptance is good to help individuals avoided from depression. This makes researchers interested in examining it and see whether it is true there is a relationship self-acceptance and depression. The hypothesis of this research is to have a significant relationship between self-acceptance with the level of depression in patients with CHD. The purpose of this study was to describe self-acceptance, levels of depression, and relationships both in patients with CHD in the Heart Clinic Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi. This research uses a correlation approach to the relationship self-acceptance and depression in patients with CHD. The population in this study all patients with CHD who had experienced a heart attack at the hospital, amounting to +345 persons. This study used convenience sampling technique or accidental sampling. The number of subjects of this study numbered 40 people. Methods of data collection using a scale of self-acceptance which is based on the theory of Sheerer and scale levels of depression have been prepared based on the theory of Beck. Analysis using the Pearson product moment correlation. Results of data analysis found that overall CHD patients in the Cardiac Clinic Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi have low levels of depression and self-acceptance scores were. Based on the correlation test results obtained correlation value (r) -.839, p =.000 (p <.01) means there is a very significant negative relationship between self-acceptance with depression. Negative emotional states, such as depression, anxiety, and stress, can arise and impact the individual's adaptive function. Self-compassion includes treating oneself with wisdom and understanding when faced with suffering, which helps improve self-regulation in dealing with emotional problems. This study aims to see the relationship between self-compassion and negative emotional states in Diponegoro University medical students, involving 118 participants of second-year students using the convenience sampling technique. Measurements in the study were carried out using the self-compassion scale (22 items, α = 0.925) and the DASS-21 Indonesian version (21 items, α = 0.892). Spearman's rho showed a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and negative emotional states (rxy = -0.630, p = 0.000). Self-compassion was also found to have a significant negative relationship with depression (rxy = -0.643, p = 0.000), anxiety (rxy = -0.440, p = 0.000), and stress (rxy = -0.516, p = 0.000). These results indicate that the higher self-compassion of the participants, the lower the negative emotional states, and vice versa. Self-compassion predicts negative emotional states in participants ranging from depression, stress, and anxiety sequentially. The further identified prevalence of negative emotional states in participants in this study. A program to enhance self-compassion is needed to reduce negative emotional states.

Today stress has become a very important management issue in the industrial world. Nearly everyone experiences stress with respect to work. No matter how small the work stress that emerges must be addressed so as not to enlarge which ultimately can harm the organization and employees. One source of work stress is the noise that is not desired by the ear because it can be annoying and irritating. But the noise can be responded differently by each individual according to their adaptability. If the individual is less able to adapt to the noise then he will tend to experience stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between the ability to adapt to noise with employee work stress. This research was designed using a quantitative and correlational approach. Population of this research is employees of production of PT. Hendratna Plywood totaling 357 people. In sampling, the researcher used Random Sampling Technique by taking 60 employees. In this study the researchers used pure try out. The result of try out scale of ability of adaptation to noise obtained 23 valid items from 30 items presented. While on work stress scale obtained 55 valid items from 72 items. The results showed that 32 subjects (53.3%) experienced high work stress and 28 subjects (46.6%) experienced low work stress. It also found that 37 subjects (61.6%) had good adaptability to noise and 23 subjects (38.3%) had poor adaptability to noise. The result of data analysis is known that there is a significant negative relationship between the ability of adaptation to noise with employee work stress shown by correlation coefficient r = - 0,359 and p = 0,005. This means that if employees have good adaptability to noise then low job stress, otherwise if employees have poor adaptability to noise then high job stress. From this it can be seen that the ability of adaptation to noise gives effective contribution of 12,88% (r² = 0,1288) to work stress, while the rest 87,12% influenced by other factor.

No two parents view things in the same way when it comes to raising their children. In this light, the current study attempted to establish a link between parenting methods and gender role ideas. This study used a correlational research design. We selected 300 individuals from a population of 1480 using stratified and simple random selection procedures. The participants’ parenting styles were assessed using Buri’s (1991) Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ), and their sex role beliefs were assessed using Williams and Best’s Sex-Role Ideology Scale (SRIS) (1990). Moment of Pearson-Product Correlation was used to determine the relationship between parenting methods and sex role ideology, while regression was utilised to determine the variables’ predictions. It was discovered that parenting techniques had no effect on the participants’ sex-role ideas. Individuals with an authoritative parenting style, on the other hand, were more likely to develop a more modern sex-role ideology, whereas those with an authoritarian parenting style developed a more conventional sex-role ideology. Additionally, both sex and religion predicted modern and traditional sex-role ideas, respectively. Tribe anticipated an authoritative parenting style without regard for either permissive or authoritarian parenting methods. The study recommends that because parenting styles are related to sex-role ideology, guidance and counselling coordinators should place a premium on the most effective parenting style in order to help students develop an acceptable sex role ideology.

Alexithymia has been linked to reduced emotional awareness and increased aggression. One line of evidence suggests that authoritarian parenting contributes to the development of alexithymia. To elucidate the relationship between experienced parenting style, alexithymia and aggression the Parental Authority Questionnaire, the Toronto Alexithymia Scale and the Buss–Perry Aggression Questionnaire were administered to a group of emerging adults. Current findings show a positive relationship between: (i) authoritarian parenting style and alexithymia, (ii) alexithymia and aggression, iii) authoritarian parenting style and aggression. This study also found that paternal authoritarian parenting predicted alexithymia and aggression when controlling for maternal authoritarian style, but not the other way round. In addition, alexithymia mediated the relationship between paternal authoritarian parenting and aggression when controlling for maternal authoritarian style suggesting that elevated alexithymia which is likely to be a consequence of authoritarian parenting, especially when it is practiced by a father, contributes to increased aggression in adulthood.
