This research investigated the use of discovery learning models to enhance students’ speech script writing skills. This research aimed to focus on the study of the effectiveness and difficulties of discovery learning models to improve students’ speech script writing skills. The research applied an experimental method by using test, observation, and questionnaires for collecting data techniques. The population of this research was students of MTs Syarikal Islam 2 Kalapanunggal. The class of IX-B was the experimental class, and a class of IX-A was control class. The use of the discovery learning model is proven to enhance students’ speech script writing skills. The effectiveness of this experimental model is shown that the average score of the pretest of the experimental class is 53,5, and the post-test score is 84,3. By comparing the control class without treatment, it indicates the effectiveness of the intervention in the experimental class. The research shows a meaningful comparison of the experimental class and control class, which gain 2,56 by using the t-test. The data obtains that t-count is higher than t-table or significant is the value of t-table<t-count, namely 1,68 < 2,56 > 2,42. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model has shown the improvement for students’ speech script writing skills effectively.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the writing skills of exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang before using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describe the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang after using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describe the influence of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on writing exposition text skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. The sample in this study was class VIII.2 with 29 students. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, exposition text writing skills before using the discovery learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in almost adequate qualifications with an average value of 53.45. Second, the skill of writing exposition text after using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang is in a qualification of more than enough with an average score of 70.11. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of tcount> t table, which is 4.79> 1.70. This means that there is a significant influence on the use of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on the exposition writing skills of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Kata kunci: Pengaruh, Discovery Learning, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksposisi

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa antara model discovery learning dan jigsaw. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Tempat penelitian diaksanakan di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu. Populasi pada penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VII. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara acak sederhana yaitu kelas VII.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning, kelas VII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw, dan kelas VII.3 sebagai kelas kontrol, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen 1 memperoleh nilai rata-rata tes akhir (post-test) kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yaitu 12,13, nilai rata-rata eksperimen 2 yaitu 11,45, dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol yaitu 9,26. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji anava satu jalur, dengan signifikan 0,05 diperoleh 𝐹ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 = 𝐹𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 = 0,34, maka H0 ditolak. Artinya ada perbedaan signifikan rata-rata kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen 1, kelas eksperimen 2, dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan uji beda nyata (BNT) menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran yang memberikan hasil penalaran matematis yang berbeda adalah model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan konvensional, dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan konvensional. Sedangkan pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw tidak memberikan hasil kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang berbeda. Model discovery learning dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw memberikan hasil lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan model konvensional.Kata kunci: kemampuan penalaran matematis, model discovery learning, model Jigsaw AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine students' mathematical reasoning abilities with discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 18 Bengkulu City in the   academic year 2019/2020. The sample of this study was selected by simple random sampling, namely class VII.1 as experimental class 1 using the discovery learning models, class VII.5 as experimental class 2 using the jigsaw type cooperative learning models, and class VII.3 as control class using conventional learning models. Data were collected by means of tests of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Based on the results of the one-way ANOVA test, there are significant differences in students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the experimental class 1, experiment class 2 and the control class. The results          of the real difference test (BNT) show that learning that gives different results is the discovery learning models with conventional learning models, and the jigsaw type cooperative learning model with conventional learning models. Meanwhile, learning with discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models does not give different results for students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models give better results when compared to conventional learning.Keywords: mathematical   reasoning   ability,   discovery   learning   model,   Jigsaw   model

This study aimed to analyze students' conceptual understanding by using a multi-representation assisted discovery learning model in measurement. This research was conducted in Public High School 1 Kendari. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a one-group pre-post test design. The research method consisted of a conceptual comprehension test using a caliper and a screw micrometer in an essay in the form of a multi-representational test on long measurements. The analysis showed an increase in conceptual understanding between the pre-test and post-test with an average pre-test score of 16.24 (SD = 14) and a post-test of 61.4 (SD = 21). These results indicate an increase in students' understanding of concepts after learning with an average N-gain increase of 0.5 (SD = 0.2) in the medium category. It also obtained the most significant increase in students' understanding of the indicators mentioned parts caliper and micrometer with an N-gain average of 0.6 in the medium category.

This research aims to find out the application of discovery learning models in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes in harmonic vibrational materials in MAN 4 Aceh Besar. The method in this study is quasi-experimentation with the design of a pretest-posttest control group. The instruments used are questionnaires and problems. The results showed that the average N-gain of student learning interest in the experimental class was 0.79 high category and control class 0.28 low category. The results of each experimental class indicator included a very positive category while the category control class was positive. Based on the results of the analysis of both classes, it can be concluded that the average interest in student learning in the experimental class is more increased than in the control class, especially on indicators of student engagement. The average N-gain result of student learning outcomes in the experimental class obtained a score of 0.61 moderate categories, then in the control class obtained a score of 0.35 medium category. Based on the test results, the average of the two classes obtained significance scores of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a difference in the average learning outcome of students in experimental classes and control classes. This proves that the discovery learning model's application can improve students' learning outcomes higher than the discovery learning model in the control class. This study concludes that the application of discovery learning models can increase students' interest and learning outcomes in harmonic vibrational materials in MAN 4 Aceh Besar

[APPLICATION OF DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL BY USING VIDEO MEDIA TO INCREASE LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND STUDENT LEARNING RESULT CLASS XI IPA 1 SMAN 1 BENGKULU CITY]. The research has goals to improve the activity and learning outcomes chemistry at XI IPA 1 class in SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu that consist of 30 students: 23 girls and 7 boys. This study is research of class action on thermochemistry subjects by discovery learning model. This research consist three cycle on four stage: planning, action, absorption, and reflection. The data collected using test and non test that consist of post test and observation sheet of activity teacher and student. The data processed using quantitative simple analysis techniques: average score of observation sheet of activity teacher and student, average score, absorption percentage clasical, andclasssical learning completness percentage. From the reseult, we can conculded that chemistry learning process applying discovery learning model using video can improve activity and outcomes learning chemistry student. It can be see from the average score of students. In the first cycle is 69.33 in which the percentage of classical absorption is 86.67 and classical learning completeness is 66.67. The average score of the second cycle is 71,33 in which the percentage of classical absorption is 89.17 and classical learning completeness is 73.33. The students’ average score of the third cycle is 81.33 in which the percentage of classical absorption is 90.37 and classical learning completeness is 86.67. The teacher’s activities of the learning process in the first cycle get average score 26.5 and it is good category, the second cycle is 27.5 and it is good category, the third cycle is 30 and it is good category too. Meanwhile, the student’s activities in the first cycle get average score 22.5 and it is good category, the second cycle is 25 and it is a good category, the third cycle is 27 and it is good category.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe things as follow. First, describes the writing skills of the exposition text of grade VIII Junior High School 31 Padang before using the discovery learning model. Secondly, describes the writing skills of the exposition text of grade VIII Junior High School 31 Padang after using the discovery learning model. Third, analyze the effect of discovery learning models on the exposition writing skills of grade VIII studensts of Junior High School 31 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative research using experimental methods Based on the results of the study, can be concluded three things as follows. First, the writing skills of the exposition text of  grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang before using discovery learning model are in fair qualifications (61,59). Secondly, the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang after using discovery learning model are in good qualifications (78,26). Third, there is a significant influence in the use of discovery learning models on the exposition writing skills of grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang, so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted in H0 is rejected because the test results prove that tcount is greater than ttable (2,04>1,70). Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Model Discovery Learning, Menulis Teks Eksposisi

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing the skill of writing fable texts of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan before using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describing the skill of writing fable texts of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan after using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describing the influence of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on fable text writing skills of seventh grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this study was one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were 167 students. The sample in this study were 28 students who were determined using purposive sampling technique. The variable of this research is fable text writing skills before and after using the discovery learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. The instrument of this research is the performance test. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, fable text writing skills before using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media of VII grade students of UPT SMP 1 Koto XI Tarusan are more than Sufficient (LdC) qualifications with an average of 72.62. Second, fable text writing skills after using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media in seventh grade students of UPT SMP 1 Koto XI Tarusan are in a Good qualification (B) with an average of 81.25. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of tcount> t table, which is 2.73> 1.70. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model discovery learning, keterampilan menulis teks fabel.

This study aimed to improve student’s problem-solving abilities of tangent circle equations using discovery learning. This research was done in class XI IPA 4 SMA N 1 Palembang. This research method is used Classroom Action Research with discovery learning models. The instrument is used test instrument in the form of an evaluating matter of the tangent circle equation in the description form and the observation sheet for observation of the learning activity of the students. The results of the study showed that there is an increase in students' problem-solving abilities in tangent circle equation material using discovery learning. This increase can be seen from the results of the post-test students with an average score of 93,6 which increased when compared with the results of the pre-test with an average value of 58,2. The percentage of students who complete learning increases from 30% pre-test to 100% at post-test with KKM (maximum mastery criteria) ≥ 70. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that learning with discovery learning models can improve student learning outcomes in the tangent of circle equation material.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar dan keterampilan membuat peta konsep peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah ”post-test only control group design”. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar yang terdiri dari 6 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling sehingga sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah peserta didik 30 orang. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah model discovery learning dan model konvensional sedangkan variabel terikatnya yaitu hasil belajar dan keterampilan membuat peta konsep. Data hasil belajar dan keterampilan membuat peta konsep yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 69,5 dan 70,33. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan membuat peta konsep kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 67,2 dan 62 tergolong kategori cukup terampil. Hasil pengujian hipotesis untuk hasil belajar menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney diperoleh Zhitung = 8,91 dan pada taraf signifikan, α = 0.05 diperoleh Ztabel = 1.64. Oleh karena, Zhitung> Ztabel, maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar pada materi pokok larutan penyangga. Sedangkan hasil pengujian hipotesis untuk keterampilan membuat peta konsep menggunakan uji-t diperoleh Thitung = 1.16 dan pada taraf signifikan, α = 0.05 diperoleh Ttabel = 2,003. oleh karena itu, Thitung< Ttabel, maka H1 ditolak dan H0 diterima. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh model dicovery learning terhadap keterampilan membuat peta konsep peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar pada materi pokok larutan penyangga. Kata Kunci: Discovery learning, Hasil Belajar, Peta Konsep, Larutan Penyangga ABSTRACT This quasi-experiment research aimed to find the effect of discovery learning model towards students’ learning achievement and skills in making concept map of class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. The research designed was post-test-only control design. Reasearch population were students of class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar that consist of 6 classes. Class random sampling technique was used to choose the samples, that acquired samples are class XI IPA 2 as experiment group and XI IPA 4 as control group with number of students 30, respectively. Independent variable research was a discovery learning model and convensional model while the dependent variable were students' learning achievement and skills in making concept map. Data of students' learning achievement and skill in making concept map were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistic. The results of the analysis of students' learning achievement shows that the score average of group experiment and control were 69,5 and 70,33. The avarege of skills in making concept map of experiment and control group were 67,2 and 62 categorized as quite skilled. Hypothesis was analyzed by Mann-Whitney test for learning achievement were Zcounted = 8,91 and in α = 0.05, the Ztable is 1.64. Since, Zcounted> Ztable, so H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. There was a positive effect of discovery learning model toward students’ learning achievement of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar on buffer solution subject matter. Hypothesis was analyzed by Uji-t for skills in making concept map were Tcounted = 1.16 and in α = 0.05, the Ttable is 2,003. Since, Tcounted< Ttable, so H1 was failed and H0 was accepted. There was not a positive effect of discovery learning model towards skills in making concept map of students’ of class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar on buffer solution subject matter. Second, the report writing skills of the observation results of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Padang after using the based on the discovery learning model are more than adequate (LdC) with an average value of 71.76.
