This study aims to uncover how Chinese Muslims in Surabaya developed their identity in Post-Reformation. During the New Order regime, they could not show their identity as a part of Indonesian diversity. Chinese identity has merged with the “native” people. Along with the downfall of the authoritarian political system and the development of multiculturalism and pluralism, Chinese Muslims in Surabaya could express their cultural identity. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The results of the study reveal that the Chinese Muslims in Surabaya developed their cultural identity through Cheng Hoo Mosque, Chinese Muslim Organization, and Imlek Celebration. The cultural identity created a hybrid identity which is a combination of Chinese, Java, and Islamic cultures.

Socio-cultural and political changes occurred significantly in Chinese people in Indonesia after the fall of the new order. Gus Dur issued a revitalization policy of Chinese customs and beliefs as well as revoked Presidential Instruction numbered 14 of 1967. The shift in the political climate encouraged Chinese people to participate in the community, including from Chinese Muslims. Within Persatuan Islam Indonesia (PITI), they try to consolidate in order to adapt and exist. The objective of this research is to examine participatory strategy and PITI organizational dynamic in post-reformation Yogyakarta and use qualitative approach and phenomenology as a method. According to the analysis, keeping Chinese identity and being Javanese are cultural strategies in communicating Islam and methodology of adaptation. Manifested Chinese traditional elements (oral history, mythology, and philosophy) show dialogue and open-mindedness this community in the society. As a result, Chinese Muslims community plays a role as cultural broker between Chinese ethnicity and Yogyakarta Muslim society.

Moslem is a human obedience in submission to Allah SWT. The surrender to Allah SWT consists of spiritual and civic practices based on the Quran and Sahih Hadits. In community practices are influenced by how culture forms in society. Identity is part of the culture and social environment that can be shifted according to the dynamics of society life. Identity revolves around the space and time of every generation in the world of everyday life that comes from human thoughts and actions and evolves into real practice including Chinese culture which became a variety of Nusantara ethnic groups summarized in the activities of the Lautze 2 Mosque.  The aim of this article is to examine how a Chinese Muslim as an Indonesian Nation by maintaining Chinese cultural identity without conflicting with religious rules by making the mosque utilizes. The method used is descriptive qualitative method to analyze how the Lautze 2 Mosque in Bandung has an active role in community activities and da’wah. The result show that the Chinese Muslim community has an active role in the utilize of the Lautze 2 Mosque as a means of religious da'wah, has an active role in helping people regardless of ethnicity and customs but still maintaining their identity as Chinese Muslims.

The new democratic political system in Indonesia recognizes Indonesian-Chinese as part of the national building. In the post-Suharto era, they are enjoying their cultural identity including freedom of press and freely to use their mother language. In fact, they were still develop their identity inside Indonesia as the multi-cultural country. The magazine called China Town is one of the Indonesian-Chinese Community Magazine. The magazine is not merely as the media which periodically reporting Indonesian-Chinese activities and opinions, but also as the representation of their existence and also identity. This article attempts to measure the role of the magazine particularly concerning on the identity issues. Specifically, this research will examine to what extent the China Town magazine achieve the objectives in terms of media coverage in order to develop and strengthen their identity? This is a qualitative study with content analysis. The empirical data found that, the China Town magazine have attempted tries to convince that Indonesian-Chinese is part of the Indonesian nation, as the Indonesian identity, and they are not exclusive as well as homogenous community. However, the magazine have also expressed and emphasized that Indonesian-Chinese were part of Chinese diaspora. It portrays that the magazine gave a balance information between Indonesian mainstream media and Chinese news.

Ngapak dialect is a cultural identity from Banyumasan area which includes Banjarnegara, Purbalingga, Banyumas, Cilacap, and Kebumen regency. The Ngapak dialect has a unique pronunciation that is assertive (luged) and without a doubt (ampang). This research explains how the ngapak dialect was chosen as a symbol of the Banyumasan’s cultural identity to interacting on social media. This research uses a qualitative method with a virtual ethnographic approach and also supported by the constructivism paradigm. The data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation as the primary data and literature studies as the secondary data. The results of this research are ngapak dialect is the development of the perceptions of the stereotypes with the ngapak dialect that exist and the dialect of ngapak itself. The perception of the Banyumasan cultural community regarding the Ngapak dialect is unique, cool, and rich so don't be embarrassed and should be proud because Ngapak dialect has potential. Banyumasan cultural community uses dialect ngapak as content with comedy themes. The reflection of the comedy itself is the character of the Banyumasan folks called cablaka and mbanyol. Cablaka means pure and mbayol means silly or funny.

This research explains the mysticism of mappadendang tradition in Allamungeng Patue Village, Bone Regency, which is believed by the local community as a form of shielding from danger and can resist reinforcemen such as Covid-19 outbreak. This research is a descriptive study using qualitative method and an ethnographic approach. This research was carried out with the aim of identifying the mystical space in mappadendang tradition which was held in Allamungeng Patue Village. After conducting the tracing process, the researcher found that mappadendang tradition which was held in Allamungeng Patue Village, Bone Regency in July 2020 was not a tradition of harvest celebration as generally in several villages in Bone Regency, especially Bugis tribe, but mappadendang was held as a form of shielding from all distress including Covid-19 outbreak. This trust was obtained after one of the immigrants who now resides in the village dreamed of meeting an invisible figure (tau panrita) who ordered a party to be held that would bring all the village people because remembering that in the village during Covid-19 happened to almost all the existing areas in Indonesia, the people of Allamungeng Patue Village were spared from the outbreak. Spontaneously, the people of Allamungeng Patue Village worked together to immediately carry out the mappadendang tradition as a form of interpretation of the message carried by the figure.

While it is well known that German conservative intellectuals were skeptical or indifferent to the Federal Republic of Germany established in 1949 and to its democratic founding principles, this essay shifts attention to a specific mode of right-wing acceptance of the new order. Focusing on Hans Zehrer, a renowned journalist and notorious opponent of democracy in the Weimar Republic, I will demonstrate how right-wing intellectuals interpreted West Germany's political system as a post-liberal order after the “end of politics”. But this vision of transcending societal and intellectual conflicts in a meta-politics was neither entirely new nor simply raked up from the late 1920s but reshaped to fit the postwar sociopolitical context. The essay illuminates several intellectual connections between Weimar-era neoconservatism and the specific conservative consensus formed after 1949, but it also explores personnel continuities within a network of right-wing journalists as well as continuities in the field of journalistic style.

AbstrakArsitektur dari suatu bangsa, pada suatu masa sering berbeda-beda, baik dalam hal bentuk maupun konsep-konsep yang melandasinya. Hal ini tentu disebabkan adanya perbedaan kebudayaan dari suatu masyarakat dengan masyarakat lainnya. Setiap suku bangsa biasanya akan menunjukkan identitas budayanya melalui benda-benda budaya yang mereka buat. Demikian halnya masyarakat Dayak Kanayatn memiliki ciri tersendiri dalam bentuk arsitektur bangunan khususnya bangunan rumah tinggal. Bentuk arsitektur masyarakat Dayak Kanayat’n yang tinggal di Desa Sahapm tercermin dalam bentuk Rumah Betang atau Rumah Panjang dan hingga kini masih dijaga dan dihuni oleh masyarakat. Bentuk rumah Betang juga menunjukkan hidup kebersamaan bagi penghuninya. Dalam  Rumah panjang atau Rumah Betang mereka berinteraksi antara bilik yang satu dengan bilik yang lainnya. Tujuan penulisan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk arsitektur Rumah Betang dan keberadaannya pada saat ini, selain itu penelitian ini juga  mendeskripsikan kehidupan masyarakat di Rumah Betang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan tehnik pengamatan dan wawancara dalam menggali data di lapangan serta studi kepustakaan sebagai menggali bahan untuk menulis. AbstractThe nation has a diverse architecture, both in terms of form as well as the underlying concepts. The diversity of architecture due to differences in the culture of a society. Each tribe will usually show its cultural identity through cultural objects that they create. Similarly with Kanayatn Dayak community has its own characteristics in the architecture, especially residential buildings. Architectural form of the Dayak people who live in the village Dayak Kanayat'n reflected in the form of Rumah Betang or Rumah Panjang and is still maintained and inhabited by people. Betang shapes also showed live together or togetherness. The people who lived in Rumah Panjang interact with each other in one room to other room. The main purposes of this study is to describe the architectural form and its existence today. In addition, this study describe betang people's lives at home. The method used is descriptive-qualitative method using the techniques of observation and interviews to collect data in the field and library research.

A considerably high consumption of cars has led Jakarta to such a messy traffic that prompted the need for the DKI Jakarta Government to issue policies to fetter the public’s purchase power for new cars. Despite this, the public continues to buy new cars. This research was conducted using qualitative method, and also post-positivism paradigm as a viewpoint from which the field arena is observed. Data collection was done by conducting a review on documents, printed – online media news and interviews from various sources. Honda Brand, which is notably the market leader in Jakarta, is to be a representative of how business players address the DKI Jakarta Government’s policy which intends to reduce the purchase power. The result of this research shows that traffic jam in Jakarta has been a complex problem politically since the New Order, because automotive business players, as a capital, have become part of Indonesia’s political power and the performance of Honda Mobil sales has not been affected by the DKI Jakarta Government’s policy in holding back the public’s purchase power for new cars. AbstrakKreativitas grup Bungong Sitangkee mempertunjukan Rapa’i Daboi’h merupakan upaya reproduksi budaya di perkampungan bekas pengungsian NGO (Non Goverment Organization) CARE di perkampungan Teurebeuh Kecamatan Kota Jantho Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Rapa’i Dabo’ih adalah seni pertunjukan atraksi yang menakjubkan. Seni pertunjukan ini digemari karena bentuk sajian pertunjukan Rapa’i Dabo’ih yang atraktif dengan debus sebagai puncak dari permainan yang disertai instrumen Rapa’i dengan lantunan syair-syair berisikan syiar agama Islam. Reproduksi budaya adalah proses mempertahankan identitas budaya yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat korban pascatsunami yang sudah tinggal menetap di area bekas pengungsian sebagai  pelestarian dan eksistensi kebudayaan asalnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkap keberadaan Rapa’i Daboih sebagai  reproduksi budaya yang terjadi di perkampungan CARE bekas pengungsian korban pascatsunami di Aceh 2004 lalu. Identifikasi reproduksi budaya ditinjau dari pemkanaan ulang seni pertunjukan Rapa’i Dabo’ih oleh Grup Bungong Sitangkee di Kecamatan Kota Jantho Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan mengamati pertunjukan dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bagaimana kebradaan reproduksi budaya dengan studi kasus Rapa’i Dabo’ih.Kata Kunci: rapa’i dabo’ih, reproduksi, budaya.AbstractThe Bungong Sitangkee group's creativity demonstrates Rapa 'i Daboi'h is an effort to reproduce culture in the CARE (Non Government Organization) in Teurebeuh village, JAntho City District, Aceh Besar District. Rapa’i Dabo’ih is an amazing performing arts performance. This performance art is favored because of the attractive form of the Rapa'i Dabo'ih show with debus as the culmination of the game accompanied by the Rapa'i instrument with the recitation of verses containing Islamic symbols. Cultural reproduction is the process of maintaining cultural identity carried out by post-tsunami victims who have settled in ex-refugee areas as a preservation and existence of their original culture. The purpose of this study is to uncover the existence of Rapa'i Daboih as a cultural reproduction that occurred in the CARE village of ex-refugee victims after the tsunami in Aceh in 2004. Identification of cultural reproduction is reviewed from the reopening of the Rapa 'i Dabo'ih performance by the Bungong Sitangkee Group in Kota Jantho District, Aceh Besar Regency. The method used is a qualitative method, data collection is done through observation and observing performances and interviews. The results of this study reveal how the existence of cultural reproduction with the Rapa'i Dabo'ih case study.  Keywords: rapa'i dabo’ih, reproduction, culture.

This current paper discusses the movement Sekelik Sedulur community in building a culture of inter-ethnic harmony Lampung and Java as an attempt to Prevent ethnic conflict in Central Lampung. The core foundation of this community used a part of a cultural approach Harmony Among maintain ethnic, religious and community groups in Central Lampung. 'Sekelik' in Lampung means 'brother' and 'sedulur' in Javanese language means 'brother'. Community Sekelik Sedulur actively makes the discussion, friendship, and cultural acculturation activities in maintaining inter-ethnic relations. As Lampungnese were famous with the ethnic conflict, economic and social dialogue, it is Necessary to conduct forum as a form of concern for inter-ethnic harmony. Actually, the problems is there is no action blended multicultural entities. This study uses ethnographic approach. To answer the questions of this research, Utilization thinking of Koentjaraningrat Cultural is used as  acculturation theory. Acculturation is a cultural fusion that occurs when a group of people with a certain culture are confronted with elements of a foreign culture so that different elements of foreign culture are gradually accepted and processed into their own culture without losing their own cultural identity
