This study aims to discuss the thoughts of education Fazlur Rahman and its contribution to the development of Islamic education theory today. Data collection used documentation method. The collected data sources serve as documents. The documents are then read and understood to find the necessary data in accordance with the formulation of the problems that exist in this study. After the necessary data is considered sufficient, systematized for further analysis. Fazlur Rahman as one of the reformers in Islamic education contributes by offering a more emphasis on development strategies in areas that are part of the education system itself, as well as integrating the two sciences, in order to avoid disintegration in education, so that there is no gap between the sciences -science. The idea of Rahman in the renewal of Islamic education, which is about the purpose of education, education system, learners, educators, educational facilities, and Islamic education curriculum.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas mengenai pemikiran pendidikan Fazlur Rahman dan kontribusinya terhadap perkembangan teori pendidikan Islam saat ini. Pengumpulan data digunakan metode dokumentasi. Sumber-sumber data yang telah terkumpul dijadikan sebagai dokumen. Dokumen-dokumen tersebut kemudian dibaca dan dipahami untuk menemukan data yang diperlukan sesuai dengan rumusan masalah yang ada pada penelitian ini. Setelah data yang diperlukan dianggap cukup, dilakukan sistematisasi untuk selanjutnya dilakukan analisis. Fazlur Rahman sebagai salah satu pembaharu dalam pendidikan Islam memberikan sumbangsihnya dengan menawarkan strategi pengembangan yang lebih ditekankan dalam bidang-bidang yang merupakan bagian dari sistem pendidikan itu sendiri, serta mengintegrasikan kedua ilmu tersebut, agar tidak terjadi disintegrasi dalam pendidikan, agar tidak terjadi kesenjangan antar ilmu-ilmu. Adapun gagasan Rahman dalam pembaharuan pendidikan Islam, yakni mengenai tujuan pendidikan, sistem pendidikan, peserta didik, pendidik, sarana pendidikan, serta kurikulum pendidikan Islam.

This research aims to analyze the development of Islamic education in Iran through library research or library research as a research method. Data collection in this study uses the analysis of scientific journals that have been published to see how the development process of Islamic education in Iran and see the differences in Islamic education in Indonesia. This finding produced several differences in the development of Islamic education in Iran and Indonesia. The results of this study can provide an overview of the progress of education in Iran that can be collaborated with the education system and Islamic education curriculum in Indonesia. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the public in the preparation of education curricula in Indonesia in the future

This article discusses the problem of Islamic education from a theological and sociological point of view. The emergence of normative and verbalist Islamic education curriculum distorts the universality of Islam. Islam that is contextual in space and time, always in contact with sociological aspects, should be understood as something that can change its partiality dynamics continuously, even though there is a universal thing that is maintained as a normative belief. On the other hand, the failure of education to produce educational output that is dignified and virtuous has caused some people to distrust the world of education in developing the character and ethics of children. The vote of disbelief is getting stronger with the emergence of the National curriculum model which gives a greater portion of general subjects than religious subjects. This paper is a criticism of the development of the world of education in Indonesia, with the hope that education stakeholders make changes to the education system and the applicable curriculum.

This study aims to elaborate the strengthening of Islamic moderateism through Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education. The researcher describes the behavior of Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education practiced by Islamic educational institutions as a basis for strengthening religious moderatism. The role of Islamic education institutions in applying moderate Islamic understanding in this disruption era is necessary. Because, students are faced with conditions of changing the order of values ​​and traditions that are very fast and unexpected. Through a descriptive-qualitative approach, data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Through the frame of character education theory, the data analyzed using the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Apparently, Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah's character education at MTs. Miftahul Huda Bulungan Pakis Aji Jepara was developed through teaching the value of tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh and i'tidal. The implementation as culture of madrasa, such as the obligation to pray before starting the lesson, orderly running pickets, praying dzuhur in congregation, wearing school uniforms, preserving ancestral culture, familiarizing greetings, sympathetic care routinely for yatama and dhuafa, maintaining the cleanliness of the madrasa environment, and a ban on littering the classroom walls. The limitation of this study has specific scope. That is the focus on strengthening religious moderateism in Islamic educational institutions which are under the shelter of the LP. Maarif NU Jepara Regency. There are still gaps for other researchers to conduct development research outside of that scope.

The curriculum is an inseparable part of an education system, because it is one component in determining the achievement of a goal. Likewise the Islamic religious education curriculum (PAI) also has a very central role in various educational processes in order to achieve the direction and purpose of Islamic education itself. Islamic education aims to develop all the potential that humans have based on the Shari'ah of Islam. However, the PAI curriculum in fact, still holds problems in life, for example the learning model is still dogmatic, repository and overlapping, and the religious concepts taught have no relevance in life in modern times today. Educators and all education staff are required to truly be able to understand the curriculum and be able to develop it. In developing an Islamic religious education curriculum (PAI) certain approaches are needed, so that the curriculum developed can lead students towards the desired changes. Educators can choose a number of approaches that are appropriate to their learning model and of course by paying attention to the characteristics of Islamic religious education itself. Among the approaches that can be used in curriculum development there are four, namely: academic, humanistic, technological and social reconstruction approaches. The developed curriculum can later be implemented by various PAI teachers in the teaching and learning process in schools.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of reading the Qur'an using the sorogan method at the Al-Falah Lulut Islamic Boarding School, Bogor. The method used is a deductive qualitative analysis research, with a case study at the Al-Falah Lulut Islamic Boarding School. Data collection is done by conducting interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review. The data analysis used is qualitative analysis. The results of the study show: The results of learning to read the Qur'an using the sorogan method for categories level one, two, and three are quite effective, in the processEven the children like learning, but the application of the sorogan method is largely determined by the abilities and skills of the tutor, because the sorogan system in teaching is the most difficult system of the entire Islamic education system.

Different ways of looking at the nature, purpose, methods and sources of Islamic education produce studies that are also different from one character to another, because each has a different flow, among others, religious-conservative schools, rational-religious flows and religious-instrumental religious flows. Ibn Kholdun, an instrumentalist-instrumentalist, has presented his views in the form of a general orientation in Islamic education, so he said that educational activities are not merely thoughts and reflections, but are social phenomena that are characteristic of human types, and must therefore enjoyed by every social being named human. In terms of educational curriculum, educational methods, and evaluations that are offered in their entirety, they deserve to be studied and examined, and if we look at each one of his views on the education curriculum, educational methods, and evaluations, which have been conceptualized by Ibn Khaldun almost from each sub-system in the Indonesian education system many are internalized. Masalah penelitian ini untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan yang digunakan pondok pesantren Al-Mu’awanah dalam meningkatkan kreatifitas santri, karena banyaknya pesantren yang telah lama berkembang namun pondok pesantren Al-Mu’awanah dengan lingkungan yang sederhana dan fasilitas yang minim dapat menghasilkan santri-santri yang pandai dalam meningkatkatkan kreatifitas sehingga dapat meraih berbagai prestasi dan memiliki berbagai keahlian sehingga menjadi kebanggaan bagi pondok pesantren dan juga bagi keluarganya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pengelola pondok dalam meningkatkan kreatifitas santri serta untuk mengetahui motivasi dan program yang ada dipondok pesantren Al-Mu’awanah dalam meningkatkan kreatifitas santri. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, karena tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan dan memberikan penjelasan tentang strategi pengembangan dipondok Al-Mu’awanah dalam meningkatkan kreatifitas santri. Langkah yang ditempuh dalam penelitian yaitu menentukan lokasi penelitian, metode penelitian, jenis data, sumber data, teknik pengumpulan data dan menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengelola pondok Al-Mu’awanah mampu meningkatkan kreatifitas santrinya sehingga sebagian besar santri dapat mengikuti berbagai program dipondok pesantren Al-Mu’awanah dengan baik dan lancar dan menciptakan berbagai kreatifitas santri sehinga santri mendapat penghargaan dari pondok dan kebanggaan bagi keluarganya. Serta dengan motivasi yang diberikan pengelola pondok baik dengan memberikan reward, hukuman terhadap santri yang melanggar, menyelenggarakan fasilitas pondok dan menyelenggarakan berbagai program kegiatan pondok sehingga mampu meningkatkan kreatifitas santri dipondok pesantren Al-Mu’awanah. The problem of this research is to analyze the development strategies used by Al-Mu'awanah Islamic boarding schools in increasing the creativity of santri, because there are many pesantren that have long been developing but Al-Mu'awanah Islamic boarding schools with simple environments and minimal facilities but can produce santri who are clever in increasing creativity so they can achieve various achievements and have various skills so that it becomes a pride for Islamic boarding schools and also for their families. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of cottage management in increasing the creativity of santri and to find out the motivations and programs available at the boarding of Al-Mu'awanah Islamic boarding school in increasing the creativity of santri. The method used in this study is descriptive method, because the purpose of this study is to describe, and provide an explanation of the development strategy in Al-Mu'awanah in increasing students' creativity. The steps taken in the research are determining the location of research, research methods, data types, data sources, data collection techniques, and finally analyzing. The results of this study indicate that the manager of Al-Mu'awanah cottage is able to increase the creativity of his santri so that most santri can take part in various programs at the Al-Mu'awanah boarding school smoothly and create a variety of santri creations so that the santri gets appreciation from the hut and pride for his family . As well as the motivation given by the management of the lodge both by giving rewards, punishing the violating santri, holding cottage facilities and holding various cottage activities programs so as to increase the creativity of santri boarded by Al-Mu’awanah Islamic boarding schools.
