This particular study investigates the problems found in the strategies adopted by students in translating certain lexical collocations of the Islamic religious texts. For that purpose, a purposive sample of 41 B.A, English students enrolled in the academic year of 2017-2018 at the Arts College had been selected as participants in this study. Thus, the primary objective of the study is to determine if these Sudanese students faced any problem when translating Islamic religious collocations from Arabic into English. Therefore, the researcher employed the descriptive approach to identify the problems faced by students in using several strategies for translation. As for data collection method, a test, which consisted of specific lexical collocations terms, had been carried out to analyse the obstacles that the students faced when translating Islamic religious collocations terms from Arabic into English. Hence, some main issues that were identified from the findings were reviewed in a wholesome manner and wherever possible, links were made to associate the themes to the literature examined, besides further extending the research scope via comparison with other literature in light of the finding. Finally, some recommendations are given at the end of the research mainly for students to improve their skills in translating Islamic lexical collocations from Arabic into English.

This particular study explores and identifies the obstacles faced in the process of translating idioms from the Arabic  into the English. In fact, one of the most challenging issues in the field of translation is the process of translating idioms from the source language into the target language with maximum success in conveying similar connotation, conceptualization, as well as shades of meaning. Therefore, in meeting the objectives outlined in this study, a purposive sample that consisted of forty students pursuing B.A. in English at the Arts College of Al Imam AL Mahdi – Sudan had been selected. Other than that, the researcher employed the descriptive approach in the study to identify and to list down the problems faced by students in applying certain strategies to translate idioms from Arabic into English. As such, a translation test was carried out as an instrument for data collection. The test was comprised of twelve Arabic proverbs based on Speake (2008) classification of Proverbs, i.e. everyday experience, traditional wisdom, and folklore, to name a few. As a result, the outcomes of the study revealed several issues that must be ironed out in order to translate idiomatic expressions appropriately and accurately. Some significant factors that had been included are cultural aspects, sociolinguistic elements, linguistic and stylistic considerations and some particular meta-lingual factors.

This study aims to determine the learning process of Japanese Language Hospitality during the Pandemic Covid-19 period. This study was researching effectiveness of the online distance learning process and evaluate the weakness and problem occurred during learning process. This research was conducted on 43 students of the Faculty of Tourism at Triatma Mulya University Diploma IV Hospitality Program in Third Semester, Academic Year 2020/2021. The respondent  was choosen from students who have learned Japanese Language Hospitality 3 on one semester from June to December 2020. The data collection method in this study used documentation techniques and questionnaires via google form. The online-based learning process carried out in this study is to create virtual classroom learning situations through online-based e-learning methods. Students not only listeners in class, but students are strongly directed to presentation about hotel hospitality using Japanese Language. The problem during learning process of Japanese Hospitality online are, the lack of supporting facilities in online class, less concentration and other distractions.

This research is motivated by the frequent finding of various errors in Indonesian in online news writing. The most obvious mistakes are at the syntactic level. Therefore, this study aims to describe and explain the form of language errors in the syntax field contained in the Kompasiana online news portal in the text entitled “Mencari Etika Elite Politik di saat Covid-19”. This research applies qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. To obtain data, the observation technique was chosen as the data collection method. This is done through observing the use of language and note-taking techniques to record the structures being analyzed. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using distributional methods. The results of the research regarding the analysis of language errors in the syntactic field contained in the article include non-standard structured sentence errors, coherence, loanwords used in sentences, unity and logic of sentences, sentence effectiveness. This finding further strengthens the paradigm that online news text writing often ignores Indonesian syntactic principles.

It is observed that individuals have problems in written expression in the Turkish education system, and a permanent solution can not be developed to solve these problems. Therefore, the primary objective of this research is to determine the problems of prospective Turkish teachers in paragraph creation. This research was carried out in the descriptive survey model. The study group consists of 88 students studying in the 3rd grade at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University in the 2018-2019 academic year. In the data collection process, the “paragraph creation problem inventory” developed by the researchers was used in the study. According to research results, it was found that the students suffered the most in “inability to create an introductory paragraph” (n=86), “inability to maintain the thought unity in the paragraph” (n=84), and “inability to develop thought in the paragraph” (n=83). In this study, solutions to the problems experienced by the students were also presented. The study findings are expected to contribute to teaching paragraph development.

This study aimed to describe the increase in communication through demonstration play props in simple language skills development in children kindergarten Pertiwi Kalikotes Klaten Regency second semester of academic year 2014/2015. Subject and source of research data as many as 21 students. Data collection method used observation, documentation, and testing. Analysis of data using critical and comparative analysis. Results of research and discussion were that the data obtained from precycle until the second cycle, obtained progress learning achievement of children in learning through demonstration using props, on precycle average of 72 and the first cycle by an average of 76.5 and the second cycle mean average of 84. It seems clear that an increase in the average value of precycle to the first cycle of 4.5 figure (6.3%), from the first cycle to the second cycle there is an increase of 7.5 numbers (9, 8%), from the second cycle precycle to an increase of 12 points (16.7%). The highest value precycle stage at 82 and 86 as well as the first cycle of the second cycle of 92. It is clear that from the stage of the first cycle precycle to an increase of 4 digits (4.9%), from the first cycle to the second cycle an increase of 6 figures (7%), and from the second cycle precycle to an increase of 10 points (12.2%). The lowest value obtained precycle stage at 66 and 70 as well as the first cycle of the second cycle of 76. It can be affirmed that the step of the first cycle precycle to an increase of 4 digits (6%), from the first cycle to the second cycle an increase of 6 figure (8.6%), and from the second cycle precycle to an increase of 10 points (15.2%). Percentage from precycle was obtained by 29% and the first cycle was obtained by 57% and the second cycle of 100%. It seems clear that the step of the first cycle precycle to an increase of 29%, from the first cycle to the second cycle there is an increase by 43%, and from the second cycle precycle to an increase of 71%. Thus, the learning achievement of children in learning through demonstration using props from the second cycle occurred precycle to a significant increase.

The purpose of this study were to implemented in-house training to improve the teacher competence in organizing the leson plan of curriculum 2013 in SD Bungkus, Kretek, Bantul, at  academic year of 2018/2019. This study used descriptive approach with Kimmis and Taggart design, and conducted in two cycles. The study design was conducted in the following steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection (evaluation). The data collection technique were interview, observation, and discussion. The instrument used in this study were interview sheet, leson plan document and in-house training document. The result of this study reveals there were improvement of teacher competence that determined from evaluation on completeness of the leson plan component in cycle II, compared with those in cycle I. It can be concluded from the study that in-house training may improve teacher competence in organizing the leson plan of curriculum 2013 in SD Bungkus. Keywords: leson plan, in house training.

In the field of information, audio visual is one of the supporting media in delivering effective information, and is more attractive in its presentation. One of them is sisingaan art from Subang Regency, West Java.  Currently, the art of sisingaan requires the design of media in the form of audio-visual because in presenting information on the existing side arts, there is no latest information on the latest side arts.  The purpose of this study is to design audio-visual based media so that it can be useful and become an attraction for the community and art craftsmen regarding matters related to the arts of Subang district and increasing the number of sisingaan uses every year.  The research methodology carried out during this research is problem analysis method, data collection method, design analysis method and media production concept method which includes preproduction, production and postproduction.  After analyzing the above problems, the researchers designed a video for the Sisingaan art information of Subang Regency which is used to provide historical information and a very important lion shape icon.  From the design of the art information video, it is hoped that the public will know more about the historical value and the lion symbol icon in the secondary arts of Subang Regency which cannot be removed or replaced with anything.
