Indonesian nurses migrated out of the country with various motifs, for instance, to earn a better income, enhancing the experience, personal development, and improvement of nursing ability. The phenomenon where nurses turn over from their job can also be caused by job dissatisfaction. Nurses job’s satisfaction needs serious attention since the nurses are spearheading the implementation of services. The objective of this study to get an idea of the level of job satisfaction and to identify factors affecting job satisfaction in Indonesian migrants nurse in Qatar. The research method is a descriptive analytic using cross-sectional approach. The research’s sample represents a total sample of 39 Indonesian nurses who work in an outpatient clinic in Qatar in February 2012. The results showed that Indonesian migrant nurses working in Qatar are satisfied with the work of 51.3%. The results of the analysis showed no correlation between length of service and working time arrangements with job satisfaction, whereas there was no correlation between age, education degree and family status with job satisfaction. The recommendations can be given to health care management in Qatar are to further improve the promotion system and nurses self-development and to increase incentives for nurses who do shift duty. Nurses are advised to increase the level of education and improve the performance of work.

The study was conducted with 02 objectives to describe and analyze some factors affecting the motivation of office and support staffs working at Dong Thap General Hospital in 2017. The research design is cross-sectional, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Research results show that, the motivation average score of office and support staffs with the general motivation; burnout; job satisfaction; intrinsic job satisfaction; organizational commitment; conscientiousness; timeliness and attendance oscillate from 2.91 to 3.5. The motivation average score of office and support staffs with burnout is lowest and the motivation average score of office and support staffs with conscientiousness is highest. Some factors affecting the motivation of office and support staffs are income policies; training opportunities; satisfaction of colleagues and managers; working environment; equipment and facilities. The research results provide evidence to help the Board of Directors to develop solutions to improve the motivation of office and support staffs in the future. Abstract Background Despite a significant shortage of psychiatrists in China, an ever-increasing number of psychiatrists in China are experiencing burnout and job dissatisfaction and considering leaving their jobs. Yet, to our knowledge, there have been no nationwide studies to date that examined both burnout and job dissatisfaction of psychiatrists in China. Therefore, this study evaluated burnout and job dissatisfaction of psychiatrists in China, and identified relevant characteristics. Methods We conducted a nationwide, cross-sectional survey in March 2019. Psychiatrists from all tertiary psychiatric hospitals in China were invited to participate. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Service Survey and the short version of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire were used to measure burnout and job satisfaction. Data on socio-demographic and occupational characteristics were collected. Multivariate logistic regression was conducted to identify socio-demographic and occupational characteristics associated with burnout and job satisfaction. Results In total, 4520 psychiatrists from tertiary psychiatric hospitals in China completed the questionnaire. Overall, 38.4% of respondents met the criteria for burnout and 35.6% were dissatisfied with their jobs. Being male, more years of practice, having no leadership role, and longer working hours per week were significantly associated with burnout and job dissatisfaction. Lower monthly pay was significantly associated with job dissatisfaction but not burnout. Moreover, burnout was significantly associated with job dissatisfaction. Conclusions Our data suggest a high rate of burnout and job dissatisfaction among psychiatrists in China. In order to preserve and strengthen the mental health workforce, proactive measures are urgently needed to mitigate burnout and job dissatisfaction among psychiatrists in China.

Satisfied employees are crucial in developing a successful organization. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that affect job satisfaction among polytechnic academic employees in Malaysia. A cross-sectional study was employed and stratified random sampling was used to collect the data. A total of 130 respondents answered the questionnaires. The results revealed that job security, salary and working conditions had significant and positive influence on job satisfaction among polytechnic academic employees. Hence, strengthening the factors of job security, salary and working conditions among the polytechnic academic employees is critically important to ensure the employees are satisfied which will then lead towards a successful polytechnic.

The purpose of this paper is twofold. Firstly, its aim is to ascertain the major aspects of job satisfaction for South Australian construction workers including the main ramifications of job satisfaction in the working environment. Secondly, it investigates the influence of key age-related factors i.e. chronological age, organisational age and length of service on major aspects of job satisfaction. The collected data for this study comprised 72 questionnaires completed by construction practitioners working at operational levels in the South Australian construction industry. Based on the responses from the target group, this study deduced that job dissatisfaction was predominantly related to the adverse impact on personal health and quality of life. In addition, indifference and the perception of dejection in the workplace are the main consequences of low levels of job satisfaction. Inferential analyses revealed that none of the age-related factors could significantly affect the major aspects of job satisfaction of construction workers in the South Australian context. The study concludes with providing practical suggestions for redesigning human resources practices for increasing the level of job satisfaction within the South Australian construction industry.Keywords: Job satisfaction, workers, age, construction industry, South Australia

This study examines the association between professional training, higher academic qualifications (educational levels) and operating performance of audit firms in Taiwan. We particularly focus on the curvilinear effects of higher academic qualifications on operating performance. We group the total sample into three categories: national, regional and local audit firms. Based on the theoretical framework in industrial economics, we establish a cross-sectional multiple regression equation to test our hypotheses. Both higher academic qualifications and professional training are positively related to the operating performance of audit firms. Professional training moderates the relation between higher academic qualifications and operating performance. Higher academic qualifications exhibit a curvilinear effect on operating performance with a reverse U-shaped relation for the national audit firms and a U-shaped relation for both regional and local audit firms. Due to data unavailability, some factors affecting the audit quality and operating performance are not included in our analysis, such as auditor teamwork, internal control system, operating policies and auditing procedures of audit firms. The findings that higher academic qualifications are positively associated with the operating performance of audit firms justify the educational policy of establishing institutes or graduate schools in accounting over the past two decades. Furthermore, audit firms skillfully exploit employees with higher academic qualifications to improve their operating performance. We are the first to document the moderating effects of professional training and the curvilinear association between higher academic qualifications and operating performance, contributing knowledge to related literature.

Background: Job satisfaction is a major factor in nurse retention and the de­livery of high quality care. Hence, aim of this study was to find out the factors affecting job satisfaction among nurses working in the teaching hospital, Chit­wan. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional research design was used and a total 135 nurses who were working for at least 3 months in the Chitwan Medical Teaching Hospital were taken as study sample. Simple random sampling tech­nique was used to select the desired sample. Pre-tested structured self-admi­nistered questionniare with job satisfaction scale consisting eight domains was used to collect the data. Obtained data were entered into SPSS version 20.0 for window and analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (chi-square test). Results: The findings of the study revealed that more than half (57.85%) of the nurses were satisfied with their job. Nurses’ job satisfaction was higher on organization and administration policies (4.18±0.04) and least on salary and benefits (3.01±0.19) they were receiving from the institution. The significance influencing factors of job satisfaction were professional qualification (p=0.04), total work experience in nursing (p=0.004), working ward/unit (p=0.014), des­ignation (p=0.007), number of patient assigned in general ward (p=<0.001) and leadership style in the ward (p=<0.001). Conclusions: Considerable percentage of nurses are not satisfied with their job. Hence hospital management and professional associations need to ad­dress the identified factors to enhance the job satisfaction among nurses work­ing in a teaching hospital.

The aim of this paper is to compare the university academics job satisfaction factors and job dissatisfaction factors. This aim is achieved by identifying the factors that affect academics job satisfaction and dissatisfaction. The main results of this study were concluded by comparing the satisfaction factors and dissatisfaction factors for university academics from the existing literature. The novelty of this study is the use of a significant body of the existing literature has focused on the factors affecting university academics in terms of job satisfaction and job dissatisfaction to get the aim. The findings would help to know for university academic factors affect for satisfaction and dissatisfaction.

Background: In spite of significant growth and expansion of family planning programme, pregnancy continues to be unplanned. This study has been conducted to identify determinant responsible for use of contraception. The aim of the study was to determine the factors affecting the use of the contraceptives. The objectives were to study Socio – demographic, fertility profile of eligible couples and its relation to use of contraceptionMethods: This is a cross sectional study conducted during period of 20th September 2014 to 15th January 2015. Three PHCs were selected purposively from Olpad taluka of the Surat District. Two Sub Centers were selected randomly from each PHC. Data regarding eligible couples were collected from Sub Center register. From each Sub Center, 47 eligible women were selected randomly. Total sample size was 280 (CPR: 60%, DLHS-3).Results: Mean age of study participants were 29.14±6.7 years. Out of total women, 18.6% women were married before attaining the age of 18 years. More than 50% women were 20-24 years of age group at the time of birth of first child where as 25.4% women gave birth to first child before the age of 20 years. There was significant association between use of Contraceptive methods with factors like age of women, caste, religion, education of women, education of husband and number of children (p<0.05). At the time of sterilization, number of children and gender of last child plaed a significant role.Conclusions: Women should be empowered with education regarding use of contraception. Child marriage act should be strictly followed.

LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF RELATED FERTILE AGE COUPLES WITH THE USE OF DISCONNECTED CONTRACEPTION TOOLS Background: This increase in population growth rate is due to the high birt rate. The government's efforts to reduce the high birth rate are through the National Family Planning Program. One of the factors affecting the increase in birth rates is the lack of use of contraceptive methods. Tembalang Subdistrict has 12 Kelurahan with a total of 29,756 Fertile Age Couples (PUS), and the number of Fertile Age Couples (PUS) who are not Family Planning (KB) participants as many as 7,905 people. The subdistric that do not use family planning (KB) the most are located in Kelurahan Meteseh with 1669 PUS from the number of fertile age couples (PUS), which are 4299 people (38.8%). Of the 4299 people who used the Intra Uterine Device (IUD), 272 were, the Operative Method for Men (MOP) was 14, the Female Operative Method (MOW) was 230, the Implant was 167 people, the injection was 1312, the Pill was 439, and the Condom was 196 people.Purpose: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of couples of childbearing age and the use of intercourse contraceptives.Methods: descriptive study with cross sectional research design. By using a total sample of 39 couples of childbearing age in the village of Meteseh.Results: Majority of respondents had less knowledge 53.8% (21 PUS) and good knowledge 46.2% (18 PUS) while the use of contraceptive devices at PUS found that the majority of respondents were irregular in the use of interrupted intercourse 53.8% and the frequency 46.2% of regular intercourse use.Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the use of the intercourse contraceptive method.Suggestion For the community, especially fertile age couples, should increase knowledge about contraception, interrupted intercourse by seeking information through health workers or through the media. Keywords: Knowledge, Fertile Age Couple, Contraception ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Kenaikan laju pertumbuhan penduduk disebabkan karena angka kelahiran yang masih tinggi. Upaya pemerintah untuk menurunkan angka kelahiran yang masih tinggi tersebut melalui Program Keluarga Berencana Nasional. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi meningkatnya angka kelahiran yaitu masih kurangnya penggunaan metode kontrasepsi. Di Kecamatan Tembalang mempunyai 12 Kelurahan dengan jumlah 29.756 Pasangan Usia Subur (PUS), dan jumlah Pasangan Usia Subur (PUS) bukan peserta Keluarga Berencana (KB) sebanyak 7.905 jiwa. Dengan menggunakan total sampel yaitu 39 pasangan usia subur di kelurahan Meteseh.Hasil: Mayorita responden memiliki pengetahuan kurang 53,8% (21 PUS)  dan yang berpengetahuan baik 46,2% (18 PUS) seangkan penggunaan alat kontasapesi pada PUS didapatkan bahwa mayoritas responden tidak teratur dalam penggunaan senggama terputus 53,8% dan frekuensi yang teratur dalam emnggunakan senggama terputus 46,2%. Simpulan: Ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan penggunaan metode kontrasepsi senggama terputusSaran bagi masyarakat khususnya pasangan usia subur hendaknya meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kontrasepsi senggama terputus dengan mencari informasi melalui tenaga kesehatan atau melalui media Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan, Pasangan Usia Subur, Kontrasepsi

Nurse job satisfaction is one of the factors affecting work productivity. Job satisfaction is influenced by the leadership style applied by the chief nurse in leading his subordinates. The purpose of this study was determined the relationship between the leadership style of the chief nurse and the nurse's job satisfaction in the inpatient room at Idaman City Hospital in Banjarbaru. This research approach used cross sectional. The population was all nurses in the inpatient room with a total of 119 nurses. Sampling used quota sampling as many as 102 respondents. There were 3 research instruments used, consisted of questionnaire respondent characteristics, nurse job satisfaction and leadership style of the chief nurse. The method used by events that carry out actions on respondents, has been observed. The correlational and survey approaches used in this study were to present a questionnaire. The leadership style of nurse manager has an average of 57.90 (50-72). Nurse job satisfaction has rather average of 62,82 (38-96). There was a relationship between the leadership style of the chief nurse and the nurse's job satisfaction in the inpatient room at Idaman City Hospital in Banjarbaru (p-value = 0,000 <0.05). The leadership style of the head of the room in accordance with the situation and conditions and good application can produce nurses who are satisfied with their work and can also improve performance in carrying out their duties.
