The Application of Organic Plant Media Composition on Indian Mustard Crops (Brassica Juncea L) in Polybag

Indian mustard plants are the main vegetable crops consumed by urban communities. The need for this vegetable increases along with the increase in culinary tourism in each region and the government's appeal on sustainable food home. One effort made to meet the needs of vegetable mustard in urban areas can be cultivated using polybags. The main problem of vegetable cultivation on polybags is the availability of soil media. To overcome the limitations of soil media it is attempted to substitute it with organic litter enriched with MOL (local microorganisms). The purpose of research is to find the right combination of planting media for mustard plants. The results showed that the composition of K7 = soil: compost: litter of hay: litter of maize (2: 1: 1: 1) best on plant length, number of leaves, length of root leaves and number of roots while the wet weight of mustard plant (g) K7 = soil: compost: litter of maize: litter of corn (2: 1: 1: 1) and K8 = soil: compost: litter of maize: litter of maize: cocopeat (2: 1: 1: 1: 1) or soil: compost + urea. Increased weights of wet mustard by 63% compared to soil media and 20% compared to soil composition: compost + urea. Organic straw in the form of straw: litter of corn stalk: cocopeat enriched with MOL are able to become ready-made planting media on the cultivation of indian mustard plants in polybags.

   Pakcoy is a type of mustard plant that is quite popular with the community, it is very suitable to be cultivated considering the need for vegetables is quite large. The community's need for fresh and pesticide-free vegetables is a choice now in line with the community's understanding of a healthy diet. Alternatives to fulfillment are chosen by planting with hydroponic media. Hydroponics is a substitute for soil media that can be used to grow vegetable crops. The presence of hydroponics is expected to be able to overcome the narrowing of agricultural land and reduce the use of pesticides considering that pesticides greatly affect human health and the environment.   This study aims to determine the effect of nutritional doses of AB mix agrifarm and age of seedlings and their interactions on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants, this study is carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tabanan University which began on 9 December 2018 until 12 January 2019.   The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the nutritional dose of AB mix agrifarm (N) which consists of three dose levels, namely the dose of 850 ppm, 1050 ppm and 1250 ppm. The second factor is the age of seedlings (U) which consists of two seedling age levels, namely the age of seedlings 1 week and 2 weeks. Each treatment is repeated four times.   The results of the study obtained the interaction of dose agrifarm treatment with seed age showed a very significant effect (p 1 0.01) on all parameters except for the parameters of the number of leaves aged 35 days old which showed no significant effect (p 5 0.05). The economical wet weight of plant-1 and BKO of the highest yield of 1-crop yield is produced in the combination treatment of N3U, which amounted to respectively 244.09 g and 78.10g or increased respectively by 57.78% and 293.85% compared to results the lowest produced by the combination treatment of N1U1 is 154.71g and 19.83g

<p>Green mustard plants (Brassica rapa var. Parachinensis L.) are plants that have a source of vitamins and minerals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of rice grinder and liquid organic fertilizer on the vegetative growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.), to determine the effect of a mixture of Giving POC with plant growth on mustard plants and to determine the effect of a combination of POC and planting media mixture on the growth of mustard plants. This research was conducted in February to May 2020, Jalan Ekarasmi gg. ekanusa in the Kelurahan Gedung Johor, Medan Johor District, Medan City with a height of ± 30 m above sea level using a Random Factorial design consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The results showed that the POC concentration did not show a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, wet weight and chlorophyll of mustard plants, but visually the highest results were obtained at P2 treatment (30 cc / L water ) followed by P1 (15 cc / L water) and the lowest in P0 treatment (without POC), the planting media mixture showed a very significant effect on plant height at 7 and 14 HST and had no significant effect on all other observation variables. The highest yield was obtained in the treatment of M0 (Top Soil Soil) followed by M1 (Top Soil and Rice Husk Mixture) and M3 (Top Soil and Rice bran Mixture) and the lowest in M2 (Top Soil and Bran Soil) mixture, POC and the planting media mixture showed a very significant effect on the plant height variable at 14 HST and the amount of chlorophyll at harvest and had no significant effect on other variables. The best results were obtained on M3 P2 (Top Soil and Rice bran Mixture; P2 (POC concentration of 30 cc / L water).)</p><pre><em>Keywords: leftover rice mill, liquid organic fertilizer, mustard plant, vegetable pesticide.</em></pre>

The study aims at investigating how parents select the right school for their children, especially those living in urban areas. The research is field research conducted at SD plus Rahmat Kediri. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data were collected by interviews, observation and documentation.The results reveal that generally public's views of Islamic educational institutions have experienced dynamics. Islamic schools are now assumed to be superior schools/favorites and become trend for urban communities and communities of upper middle class. The purpose of this reseach was to determine the composition of the right planting media for the growth of rubber plant seeds. This research was conducted for 3 (three) months The State Agricultural Polytechnic at Samarinda. This reseach consists of three levels of media composition treatment namely 75% top soil media and 25% sand (m1), 50% top soil media and 50% sand (m2) and 25% top soil soil media and 75% sand (m3) ). The composition of the planting media of top soil 50% and 50% sand gives better results to the growth of plant height and number of leaves compared to the treatment of the composition of other planting media, namely the composition of the top soil media 75% and 25% sand and the treatment of top soil planting media 25% and 75% sand.

Palm oil can produce high productivity which must be supported from several aspects, one of  them is a good and correct nursery. Palm oil nursery isusually carried out conventionally, namely planting using soil media. Hydroponic research using cocopeat and rice husks planting media on the growth of palm oil seeds in pre nursery has never been carried out. The objective of this study was to determine the growth of palm oil seedlings using the hydroponic method. This research was conducted in the STIPAP Medan greenhouse. This research was conducted from April to July 2018. This research was a non-factorial RAK, which consisted of four treatments, namely M0 (top soil), M1 (Cocopeat), M2 (rice husks), M3 (combination). Height, stem, number of leaves, dry and wet weight of roots and plants, root length were observed. Then data analysis with ANOVA with the continued test of 5% Duncan was performed. The results of the effect of cocopeat and rice husk media was there was no a significant effect on the treatment parameters of seed height, number of leaves, dry and wet weight of roots and plants, and root length.

One of the efforts to continuously increase lettuce production is by using hydroponic technology. Hydroponics is a way of farming without using soil media but using water or porous materials. Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) including hydroponic farming methods. In this system, some of the roots of the plants are submerged in water that contains fertilizer and some are above the surface of the water with a continuous 24 hours of circulation. The research was conducted from June to November 2020. The research was carried out on the Hydroponic Roof Top of the Red Building. Plantation Cultivation. This research method used a non-factorial randomized block design (RBD), the treatment of 1100 ppm AB Mix nutrition at the age of 1-14 days, 1300 ppm from the age of 21-28 days, 1500 ppm at the age of 29 - 35 days and B2 = Fertilizer Growmore 1100 ppm at the age of 1 - 14 and 1300 ppm from the age of 21 - 28 days, 1500 ppm at the age of 29 - 35 days Each treatment consists of 20 sample plants.The results showed a significant difference in the application of AB Mix fertilizer to Growmore fertilizer from week 1 to week IV on plant height increase, number of leaves and wet weight or yield on lettuce plants.

Biofertilizers are commonly defined as microbial inoculants which are capable of mobilizing important nutrient in the soil from non-available to available form for the plants through their biological processes. Hence to increase the productivity of the soil, the use of biofertilizer is necessary. Candida yeast as a phosphate solubilizer and decomposer. Azotobacter bacteria as a nitrogen-fixing bacteria and Bacillus as a phosphate solubilizer. The combination of these microorganisms as biofertilizer needs to be tested its effect against mustard (Brassica juncea L.) plant growth.The results showed that the combination of Bacillus Candida obtained the highest yield among other biofertilizer treatments with a value of 13.6 cm at plant height, 4.96 grams in wet weight and 2.29 grams in dry weight. The combination of Azotobacter Candida showed the highest result on the parameter of width and number of leaves with the values of 20.3 cm and 5.3. Combination of Azotobacter Bacillus Candida showed the highest yield on the root length parameter with a value of 5.0 cm. The addition of biofertilizer is expected to reduce pollution on the soil due to residues produced by chemical fertilizers.Keyword : Azotobacter, Bacillus, Biofertilizer, Candida, Mustard Plant

The green mustard plant is a type of vegetable that is favored by the consumers. Green mustard plant production has decreased due to pest attacks. Pests that often attack and harm these food crops are armyworm. The way to control plant pests (OPT) was used bioinsecticides. This study was aimed to determine the effect of Kepok banana peel extract bioinsecticide (Musa paradisiaca) on the mortality of armyworm (Spodoptera litura), the growth (number of leaves) of greens mustard (Brassica juncea L.), and the production (wet weight) of greens mustard ( Brassica juncea L.). This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%) and 6 replications. Bioinsecticide was given to armyworm during the treatment and spraying 4 times a week on green mustard plants for 5 weeks. The research data were analyzed by using the ANOVA test, if the data has a significant effect, a further test would be carried out, namely the DUNCAN test. The results showed that administration of kepok banana peel extract bioinsecticide had a significant effect (P <0.05) on the number of armyworm mortality (F count 64.931> F table 3.10), green mustard plant growth (number of leaves) (F count 15.748> F table 3.10), and the production of green mustard (wet weight) (F count 9.298> F table 3.10). The DUNCAN test results showed that P3 treatment (15%) was significantly different compared to other treatments.

The practice of producing vegetables on green roofs has been gaining momentum in recent years as a method to facilitate agricultural sustainability in urban areas. Rooftop gardens are becoming an important part of the recent rejuvenation of urban agriculture, and offers alternative spaces to grow vegetable products for urban markets. Green roofs create spaces for the production of vegetable crops, which then generate opportunities for integrating agriculture into urban communities. However, vegetable production activities on rooftops are currently minimal due to multiple challenges that must be overcome before widespread implementation will occur, and these are presented and discussed herein in great detail. Although intensive green roof systems (>15 cm medium depths) are thought to be most suited for vegetable production, the greatest potential for sustained productivity is probably through extensive systems (<15 cm depths) due to weight load restrictions for most buildings. Thus, shallow-rooted vegetables that include important salad greens crops are thought to be the most suited for extensive systems as they can have high productivity with minimal inputs. Research presented herein agree that crops such as lettuce, kale and radish can be produced effectively in an extensive green roof medium with sufficient nutrient and moisture inputs. Other research has indicated that deeper-root crops like tomato can be produced but they will require constant monitoring of fertility and moisture levels. Vegetable production is a definite possibility in urban areas on retrofitted green roofs using minimal growing substrate depths with intensive seasonal maintenance. Rooftop agriculture can improve various ecosystem services, enrich urban biodiversity and reduce food insecurity. Food production provided by green roofs can help support and sustain food for urban communities, as well as provide a unique opportunity to effectively grow food in spaces that are typically unused. The utilization of alternative agricultural production systems, such as green roof technologies, will increase in importance as human populations become more urbanized and urban consumers become more interested in local foods for their families. Although cultivation of food on buildings is a key component to making cities more sustainable and habitable, green roofs are not the total solution to provide food security to cities. They should be viewed more as a supplement to other sources of food production in urban areas.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving coffee husk compost on the growth of citronella (Cymbopogon nardus L.) plants. This research was conducted in Kuala Tungkal, Tungkal Ilir District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province, from December 2020 to March 2021. Analysis of compost nutrients was carried out at the Laboratory of the Jambi Agricultural Technology Research Center and measurements of root wet weight, shoot dry weight and root dry weight were carried out at the Basic Laboratory of Batanghari University Jambi. This research was conducted using a randomized environmental design (CRD) and treatment design for coffee husk compost which consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely k0 : 3 kg of soil media without treatment (control), k1 : 15 g of coffee husk compost + 2,985 g of soil media, k2 : 22.5 g coffee husk compost + 2.977.5 g soil media, and k3 : 30 g coffee husk compost + 2.970 g soil media. The results of the analysis showed that the application of coffee husk compost had a significant effect on the parameters of root wet weight, shoot dry weight and pH of the growing media but had no significant effect on the parameters of the number of tillers, number of leaves, root dry weight and root crown ratio
