Kalyana Mitta as the fundamental potential for happiness and suffering in Buddhist mindfulness counseling

The dimension of religiosity in counseling activities becomes quite significant because counseling is an activity focused on helping individuals/counselees with all their potential and uniqueness to achieve optimal development. This study aims to examine Buddhist mindfulness counseling. The research method employed in this study was the qualitative method using library research, namely literature search utilizing library sources to obtain research data or limit research activities to Buddhist teachings. This study found a study of the basic philosophy of Buddhist mindfulness counseling, human nature, the function and role of the counselor, the counselee's experience in counseling, the therapeutic relationship between counselor and counselee, counseling techniques, and procedures. Human nature consists of a combination of psychic (nāma) and physical (rūpa) which influence one another. It aims at purification of the mind, overcoming sorrow and anxiety, stopping physical and mental suffering, attaining enlightenment, and attaining liberation of Nibbāna.

The purpose of this study expresses trust and hegemony in a short story “Dukun yang Selamat” by Joni Hendri. Short Story “Dukun yang Selamat” interesting research because it contains differences in belief in the existence of shamans. The research approach used is Gramsci's hegemony, entering the realm of sociology of literature. This research belongs to the field of library research, not field research. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Research data obtained from words, phrases, sentences, and dialogues contained in short story “Dukun yang Selamat” which is relevant to belief and hegemony. The research data was analyzed by interpreting it according to the research approach used. The results showed differences in attitudes and behaviors towards figures Nenek Sari or a shaman is caused by the trust of each individual. The beliefs that have been adhered to and believed to be true are able to make a character Wak Atan acting that is not justified, which is to kill the shaman. The hegemony of belief is able to make Wak Atan marginalize the role of humans who are considered shamans.Keywords: Belief; hegemony; shaman; behavior; and role. IntisariTujuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan kepercayaan dan hegemoni dalam cerita pendek “Dukun yang Selamat” karya Joni Hendri. Cerpen “Dukun yang Selamat” menarik diteliti karena memuat perbedaan kepercayaan terhadap keberadaan dukun. Pendekatan penelitan yang dipakai adalah hegemoni Gramsci, masuk ranah sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini masuk ranah penelitian kepustakaan, bukan penelitian lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian didapatkan dari kata, frasa, kalimat, dan dialog yang terdapat dalam cerpen “Dukun yang Selamat” yang relevan dengan kepercayaan dan hegemoni. Data penelitian itu dianalisis dengan cara diinterpretasikan sesuai dengan pendekatan penelitian yang dipakai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan sikap dan perilaku terhadap tokoh Nenek Sari atau dukun disebabkan oleh kepercayaan tiap-tiap individu. Kepercayaan yang telah dianut dan diyakini kebenarannya mampu membuat tokoh Wak Atan bertindak yang tidak dibenarkan, yakni ingin membunuh dukun itu. Hegemoni kepercayaan mampu membuat Wak Atan memarjinalkan peran manusia yang dianggap sebagai dukun. Kata kunci: Kepercayaan; hegemoni; dukun; perilaku; dan peran.

Ketika gender menjadi sebuah alat untuk menganalisis dan mendeteksi fenomena ketidakadilan antara laki-laki dan perempuan di masyarakat, maka feminis dapat menggunakan teori gender untuk membantu menganalisis berbagai bentuk diskriminasi gender yang ada atau mungkin ada dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd salah satu tokoh ilmuan Muslim yang secara terang-terangan mengaku sebagai seorang feminis. Melalui gagasan-gagasannya, Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd berusaha membongkar hegemoni sektarian-rasialistik dengan melakukan dekonstruksi terhadap pemaknaan perempuan dalam ayat-ayat al-Qur’an dengan menggunakan model pembacaan kontekstual. Artikel ini bermaksud untuk memaparkan gagasan atau konsep dekonstruksi gender Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, baru setelah itu mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek feminitas dan peran perempuan dalam Islam. Metode penilitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis kajian pustaka atau library research, data diperoleh dari berbagai literatur buku, artikel, jurnal, majalah, dan hasil kajian terdahulu lainnya. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa studi kasus atas pemikiran Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd tentang feminitas dan dekonstruksi perempuan dalam Islam telah memicu perdebatan di dalam konteks keagamaan, sosial, politik, dan historis. Oleh sebab itu, Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd berusaha untuk memaknai kembali ayat-ayat al-Quran yang berkaitan dengan kedudukan perempuan dalam Islam. When gender becomes a tool to analyze and detect the phenomenon of injustice between men and women in society, feminists can use gender theory to help analyze the various forms of gender discrimination that exist or may exist in various aspects of people's lives. Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd is one of the leading Muslim scientists who openly claims to be a feminist. Through his ideas, Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd tried to dismantle the sectarian-racial hegemony by deconstructing the meaning of women in the verses of the Koran using model a contextual reading. This article intends to elaborate on Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd's ideas or concepts of gender deconstruction, only then to identify aspects of femininity and the role of women in Islam. This research method uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature review or library research, data is obtained from various literature books, articles, journals, magazines, and the results of other previous studies. This study finds that the case study on Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd's thoughts on the femininity and deconstruction of women in Islam has sparked debates in religious, social, political, and historical contexts. Therefore, Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd tried to re-interpret the verses of the Qur’an relating to the position of women in Islam.

Literary works are closely related to everyday human life and are the thoughts or expressions of the author. Literary works as the author's expression represent experiences, thoughts, feelings, and ideas expressed by using language as the medium. This study aims to analyze the collective unconsciousness of the characters in Ahmad Fuadi's novel Anak Rantau through the psychoanalytic approach of Carl Gustav Jung. This research is a type of library research. The research data is in the form of a novel entitled Anak Rantau by Ahmad Fuadi. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. From the results of the study, it was found: (1) the personal role of Datuk Marajo, which displays a different character to cover the character that belongs to him, (2) the role of the archetype of anima in Martiaz, namely the feminine side of a man, (3) ) the role of shadow (shadow) in the character Jenggo to cover his mistakes, and (4) the role of self-archetype (self) in Datuk Marajo to get calm.

This study aims to describe the struggle of women during the DI / TII rebellion in the novel Azizah by Emmah Azra. This type of research is classified as library research. The research method used descriptive qualitative method. The research data were in the form of story texts relating to the structure of the novel and the struggle of women during the DI / TII rebellion in the novel of Azizah by EmmahAzra. The technique used in this study was the technique of reading and taking notes. The theory used to analyze the data in this study was Genetic Structuralism by Lucien Goldmann. Based on the results of this study it could be concluded that through the novel of Azizah by Emmah Azra, the author described the conditions and struggles of women. This novel described the lives of women during the DI / TII rebellion in South Sulawesi in the 1950s. The novel of Azizah by EmmahAzra also told about Kahar Muzakar's resistance in fighting for the application of Islamic law. Emmah also described the impact of the war on the lives of women and society at that time. At that time, society, especially women, had to move places to avoid war and save them. Penelitian ini mengkaji morfologi cerita rakyat Arso Watuwe berdasarkan teori struktur naratologi Propp. Latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini karena penelitian morfologi terhadap cerita rakyat tersebut belum pernah dilakukan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya melalui studi pustaka (dokumentasi). Dalam pelaksanaannya, penelitian ini menganalisis morfologi cerita rakyat berdasarkan teori dan metode penelitian struktur naratologi Propp. Konsep dasar analisis struktur naratologi Propp adalah fungsi dan peranan pelaku dalam cerita. Cara analisis dilakukan dengan memeriksa kembali data-data dan memilah-milahnya berdasarkan jenis dan tipenya. Selanjutnya, fungsi dalam dongeng didentifikasi dan dimasukkan ke dalam tanda atau lambang khusus yang telah dibuat oleh Propp. Terakhir, fungsi-fungsi tersebut didistribusikan ke dalam lingkaran tindakan tertentu. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah ditemukan dua puluh satu fungsi naratif, tiga pola cerita, dan lima lingkaran tindakan. Selain itu, terdapat nilai moral, seperti pantang menyerah, disiplin, kerja keras, dan menjaga solidaritas dalam cerita tersebut.Abstract:This research investigates morphology of Arso’s folktale “Watuwe” based on Propp’s theory. The background of conducting the research is that the research has not been carried out yet. The study uses qualitative method. The data collection technique is by doing library research (documentation). In this study, the author analyzes morphology of the folktale based on theory and research method of Propp’s narratology structure. The basic concepts of it are function and role of characters in the story. It is analyzed by rechecking and selecting data based on its kinds and types. Then, the functions are identified and symbolized in Propp’s symbols. Finally, the func- tions are distributed to Propp’s speres of action. From the investigation, it is found that there are twenty one narratology functions, three story patterns, and five speres of action. Furthermore, there is a moral value, such as persevering, discipline, hard work, and keeping solidarity within the story.

In the framework of improving agricultural performance, almost all agriculture seeks to make changes to the work system because the system is applied almost unfit for use for agricultural operations especially in the processing of data complex and routine. The main reasons for the use of information technology in data processing of statistical reports pertanin is efficiency, time and cost savings. Besides the increased effectiveness, achieving the output of agricultural statistical data reports correctly is a necessity of every agriculture. Due to the important role of information technology, information technology becomes something that is required to support activities. In this study the authors use Field Researce method is to conduct direct research into the field, from the results of collected data, then the author uses Laboratory Researce method is to process the results of research data in computer labor and then the author also uses Library Research method of conducting library research. From the results of this study can be designed a system of agricultural statistical reports, which in the design is carried out the development of information generated from the old system and there is a way of working from the system itself by using the computer as a tool. It is expected that this information system can help and facilitate employees in processing the data

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bentuk toleransi dan faktor pendorong dan faktor penghambat toleransi masyarakat Jawa dengan studi kasus di Dukuh Medono Kabupaten Batang. Di dukuh tersebut, penganut organisasi agama seperti NU, Muhammadiyah dan Kristen Jawa di Dukuh Medono saling hidup rukun. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa toleransi antar penganut NU, Muhammadiyah, Kristen Jawa tampak berbagai bentuk. Antara NU dan Kristen Jawa dalam bentuk partisipasi dalam ritual tahlilan, sedangkan antar ketiganya tampak dalam bentuk kerja bakti, saling membantu dalam acara hajatan, perkawinan campur dan saling berkunjung bila ada yang sakit. Faktor pendorong toleransi antara lain budaya toleransi yang sudah lama, pernikahan antar penganut yang berbeda, sosialisasi toleransi dalam keluarga, dan kepemimpinan desa yang menekankan pentingnya toleransi. Sedangkan faktor penghambat toleransi yaitu perbedaan pandangan antar penganut NU dan Muhammadiyah dalam pelaksanaan ibadah, pernikahan beda keyakinan, dan sikap menyinggung keyakinan diantara penganut yang ada. The objective of this study is to explore forms of tolerance and the driving factor of religious tolerance in Dukuh Medono, Batang. In that village, the followers of NU, Muhammadiyah, and Kristen Jawa live peacefully and united in tolerance. The research method used here is a qualitative method with phenomenology approach. The result of the research shows that the tolerance between NU followers and Javanese Christians take the form of participation in tahlilan ritual. The tolerance between NU, Muhammadiyah followers, and Kristen Jawa followers are expressed through kerja bakti, mutual support in hajatan rituals, mixed marriage, visits to the sick, and social activities together. The factors which help to create tolerance include the culture of tolerance which exist in the village, marriages between religious followers, the socialization of tolerance within family, the socialization of tolerance within the society and the role of village administrative leaders. On the other hand, the factors which distract tolerance are different point of view between NU dan Muhammadiyah followers in some religious aspects, marriage between different religious followers, and the attitude of insulting others beliefs.

This study researches the meanings of implicit utterances in Mat Luthfi’s vlog. This qualitative study employs relevance theory, a linguistics-based theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson drawn from the discipline of pragmatics. This theory foregrounds three main concepts comprising the role of context, cognitive effects and processing efforts. The research data consists of implicit dialogue uttered by characters in the video. Data were identified, transcribed, and subsequently analysed based on Relevance Theory. Library research was also used to further explore the implicit and Relevance Theory-based expressions. The findings show that there are ten utterances in the vlogs with implicit elements. These in turn indicate that the speaker wished to convey specific messages to listeners. This study explains that in the Malay community, utterings are various in meaning and are not merely confined to their literal meanings for correct understanding and interpretation. Hence, the meaning of an utterance is more easily understood when interpreted using the Relevance Theory.

AbstractThe teachings of Islam for the Sasak people get a very high place in carrying out their daily religious life in accordance with the teachings of their religion. The purpose of this study is to analyze theoretical analysis on Islamic religious traditions that have existed in the Sasak community since the beginning of their entry, placing more emphasis on strengthening religious practices or rituals that at a glance place great importance on religious expression. This research method uses the library research method about the role of the Nahdlatul Wathan Islamic mass organization figure in Lombok. The results showed that Nahdlatul Wathan focused on three areas of development, namely education, social and da'wah. The presence of Tuan Guru on the island of a thousand mosques gives a different feel. Bahklan is a characteristic of society, its influence can be felt in various fields, not only in the field of education, in politics but also in the executive field. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research tentang peranan tokoh ormas islam nahdlatul wathan yang ada di lombok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nahdlatul Wathan fokus pada tiga bidang pembangunan, yaitu pendidikan, sosial dan dakwah. Kehadiran Tuan Guru di pulau seribu masjid memberikan nuansa yang berbeda. Bahklan merupakan ciri khas masyarakat, pengaruhnya dapat dirasakan di berbagai bidang, tidak hanya di bidang pendidikan, di bidang politik tetapi juga di bidang eksekutif. Kata kunci: Tuan Guru, Masyarakat, Lombok, Nahdlatul Wathan.
