: Understanding of pregnant women abouexclusive breastfeeding as evidenced by Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding from birth until the child is 6 months old. During this period children are not expected to get additional fluids, such as formula milk, lemon juice, tea water, honey, and plain water. In exclusive breastfeeding, children are also not given additional food such as bananas, biscuits, rice porridge, teams, and so on. Exclusive breastfeeding for up to 6 months can meet the needs of children, and requires additional food at the age of over 6 months (Maryunani, 2012). The role of midwives in promoting exclusive breastfeeding can be started from the time the mother is pregnant. When pregnant women check their pregnancies, pregnant women will get information about the benefits of breastfeeding and how to successfully breastfeed when their babies are born (Atik, 2016). This activity was carried out in juni 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic then the participant who follows there were 20 mother pregnant and this activity went smoothly.

RELATIONSHIP OF EDUCATION LEVEL WITH EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING KNOWLEDGE IN PREGNANT WOMEN IN WONOGIRI II PRIMARY HEALTH CARE ABSTRACTExclusive breastfeeding means if the baby is only breastfed, without the addition of other fluids such as formula milk, lemon juice, honey, tea water, water and no added solid foods such as bananas, papaya, milk porridge, biscuits, rice porridge and the team for 6 months. The low coverage of the success of exclusive breastfeeding in infants is influenced by many things, including low knowledge and lack of information to mothers and families about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, hospital management or delivery centers which often do not apply rooming-in, health facilities provide formula milk to newborns, many working mothers find it difficult to breastfeed while working. At the Puskesmas Wonogiri II, coverage of exclusive breastfeeding until October 2010 was 87% of 72 mothers breastfeeding infants 0-6 months. Midwives are of the opinion that the mother's knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding should start from the time the mother is pregnant, so that when the mother gives birth, the mother has a lot of knowledge, is ready to provide exclusive breastfeeding so that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding increases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between education level and knowledge of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding. The research method used was an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The are72 sample with total sampling technique used, and using an open questionnaire with 25 items to assess the knowledge of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding. Data analysis used the chi square test to test the hypothesis. The results of the study there was no significant relationship between the level of education and knowledge of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding. Conclusion, knowledge of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding is not only influenced by education. Keyword: Education level, knowledge, exclusive breastfeeding

Breastfeeding improvement (PPASI) program was an effort to increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. Successfulness of the exclusive breastfeeding required support from midwives. Indonesian Midwifery Association (IBI), as a midwives professional organization, had declared to implement PPASI program step by step and continually by all IBI board members. Although IBI boards at Pontianak branch had conducted several seminar activities regarding breastfeeding and lactation management training for IBI members but private practice midwives were still giving formula milk to the newborns. Based on that problem, this study was conducted with the objective to explain managerial role of IBI boards in implementing PPASI program in the area of Pontianak city. This was a qualitative study using phenomenology approach. Study informants were IBI branch and sub branch board members in the area of Pontianak city. Data were collected by in-depth interview and analyzed using content analysis method. Results of the study showed the roles of IBI boards as leader in implementing PPASI program in the motivational activities. IBI boards reminded IBI members to do lactation management in every informal small group social gathering (arisan). Evaluation of lactation management was conducted by IBI boards because they were on duty as midwives coordinators at Puskesmas and as room chiefs in hospitals. Guidance to the members was conducted by the boards through ‘arisan’ and there was no rewards given to members who had implemented lactation management. The role of boards as information resource was done by conducting lactation seminars for IBI members and in collaboration with district health office to implement lactation management training. There was no special standard for lactation management and socialization was only given to the members who wanted to apply for private practice midwives (BPS) permit. In term of IBI board role as policy makers, the board had not made planning for PPASI program. Planning and organizing were only done for seminar activities about breastfeeding. No written regulation issued by IBI board and no sanction was assigned to the members in implementing PPASI program. Based on the study results, it was suggested to IBI board to formulate evaluation format and to give rewards to IBI members in order to motivate them to implement lactation management, to make specific standard operating procedure for lactation management and to make understandable and details regulations regarding PPASI program implementation, to assign sanction to members who broke the rules.

Lactation Preparation In pregnancy is an effective activity to increase exclusive breast milk coverage and early breastfeeding initiation (IMD). Participants are prioritized pregnant women as well as posyandu cadre mothers. The success of exclusive breastfeeding depends heavily on lactation preparation during pregnancy, often found in the field, the fundamental reasons mothers do not give breast milk to their babies are, (1) Breast milk has not come out on the first day, so given Formula Milk while waiting for mother's breast milk, (2) Breast milk is still a little, and (3) Nipples sink. Some of the above reasons can be anticipated in pregnancy at the age of aterm pregnancy, namely by explaining to the mother about the lactation process, the baby's need for breast milk in the early stages of birth and breast care at the age of aterm pregnancy, as well as the provision of knowledge about balanced nutrition that can be consumed during pregnancy to help increase the production of breast milk in the nifas / or lactation period, However, this group is open to others who have similar interests, such as husbands, or families who will support and accompany the mother during pregnancy until the process of breastfeeding later. Through the extension of lactation preparation given, it is expected that pregnant women can prepare the lactation process since pregnancy as an effort to successfully breastfeed exclusively.

Exclusive breastfeeding is defined as feeding infants only breast milk, be it directly from the breast up to the first six months, without any additional food and drinks; such as formula milk, honey, water, juice, and baby porridge. One of the important factors in giving exclusive breastfeeding to the baby is the husbands’ role. The husbands need to be educated since it affects the attitude and support given to a woman who breastfeeds exclusively. This study aims to identify the relationship between husbands’ characteristics, knowledge, attitude, and support toward exclusive breastfeeding in a private hospital, West Indonesia. This study employs a quantitative method with correlation analysis using a cross-sectional study using a chi-squared test to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and husband’s support toward giving exclusive breastfeeding. The sample was taken from 51 husbands who had the second and third breastfed baby. Univariate analysis is used to analyze the data. Result: there is a significant relationship between the husbands’ knowledge towards exclusive breastfeeding and there is an insignificant relationship between the husbands’ attitude and support towards exclusive breastfeeding. Further socialization program and education are suggested to the husbands to acquire more knowledge in understanding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding as the husbands’ attitude and support toward it is still low.

BAHASA INDONESIA Air Susu Ibu Eksklusif merupakan pemberian air susu ibu kepada bayi sampai usiada enam bulan pertama tanpa menambahkan makanan apapun, seperti susu formula, madu, air putih, sari buah, dan bubur bayi. The huge benefits of exclusive breastfeeding have not been able to increase the number of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia. This is due to the low knowledge of pregnant women on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. Low support from families, communities and health workers, especially breastfeeding counselors, is one of the factors causing the low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. Mothers need support from those around them for success of exclusive breastfeeding behavior. The role of health workers in health promotion is also needed so that the exclusive breastfeeding program runs optimally. This activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding. The community service method used is assistance to mothers in exclusive breastfeeding with the concept of one student one client. It was carried out in the working area of the Surakarta City Health Office with 30 participants. It begins with counseling mothers about exclusive breastfeeding, observations about maternal assistance in exclusive breastfeeding, and an evaluation of the course of mentoring through filling out a questionnaire about exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding practices. The role of health workers in supported exclusive breastfeeding includes providing counseling on IMD and breastfeeding since pregnancy with husband, involving husbands in IMD implementation, posyandu with home visits involving cadres and providing counseling for pregnant women, providing lactation corners, counseling involving all puskesmas officers, distributing leaflets and posters, holding pregnancy classes, and involving cadresto hold Kelompok Pendukung Ibu (KP-Ibu). The failure of exclusive breastfeeding was generally because the mother works so that breastfeeding motivation decreased, family support was low, worried about insufficient breastfeeding, and low knowledge of breastfeeding. There was a relationship between knowledge and breastfeeding practice and it was statistically significant (p=0.004, OR: 25.14, CI95%:0.89-5.56). The role of health workers and cadres in supported exclusive breastfeeding through maternal assistance was quite good, however the failure of exclusive breastfeeding generally came from maternal factors. Kata kunci: Peran Bidan Praktik Swasta, Pengetahuan Ibu, Perilaku Ibu, Persepsi Ibu Terhadap Peran Bidan Praktik Swasta ABSTRACT Coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in 2016 in the working area of ??Abiansemal IV Puskesmas was still low at 77%. The role of private practice midwives is crucial for success in exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of private practice midwives in exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of ??Abiansemal IV Health Center, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency. This research is a qualitative research with purposive sampling technique. The data collection method was carried out by in-depth interviews with 8 informants namely mothers who have babies aged 0-24 months and 4 key informants namely private practice midwives. In addition, observations were also made at the private practice midwife's place. The results of this study indicate that private practice midwives provide information on exclusive breastfeeding during antenatal care, namely when the mother's pregnancy enters the third trimester and exclusive breastfeeding information is also performed when the baby is born and at the time of evaluating the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding. But there is one private practice midwife who provides formula milk. The mother's perception of the role of the midwife is quite good because according to the mother, the private practice midwife provides friendly service, but not all get breast care at the private practice midwife. Mothers who get complete information from midwives have good knowledge related to exclusive breastfeeding. Even though the mother's knowledge is good, she does not provide exclusive breastfeeding due to obstacles. The conclusion of this study is that midwives play a fairly good role in providing exclusive breastfeeding information, namely when the mother's pregnancy enters the third trimester and when the mother has given birth to a baby, the mother's knowledge of benefits is better than the understanding of exclusive breastfeeding, the mother's perception of the role of private practice midwife well, only one mother has given exclusive breastfeeding. Suggestions that can be given are cooperation between the puskesmas and private practice midwives to be improved in relation to the promotion of exclusive breastfeeding, Abiansemal IV Puskesmas can provide leaflets or brochures related to exclusive breastfeeding to private practice midwives and this research can be used as a reference source for further research related to reasons mother does not give exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: Role of Private Practice Midwives, Mother's Knowledge, Mother's Behavior, Mother's Perception of the Role of Private Practice Midwives
