Seaweed is one of the important commodities of fishery products that have economic value. Farmers often use repetitive seeds from the same broodstock so that they have the potential to experience a decline in quality. So it is necessary to do a study of seaweed cultivation using tissue culture seedling with the long line method as an effort to develop seaweed farming. Seaweed (Kappaphycuz alvarezii) has an absolute growth of 138.61 grams, with a growth rate of 4.85%. The growth of seaweed from tissue culture seedlings is better than the growth of conventional seedlings.

Seaweed cultivation is done to meet and improve its production, but there are still many obstacles, so its results are not yet stable. This can be seen with the awarding of the nutrients that will hopefully increase its growth. The goal of the research is to know the growth and absorption ability of Gracilaria SP. in medium containing different concentrations of Cu with. The method used is the method of experimental design of randomized Complete laboratories (RAL). Addition of Cu concentration on treatment of media maintenance which consists of 4 levels, namely control (0.036 ppm, according to the concentration of Cu in sea water), 0.5 ppm, 5 ppm and 50 ppm, with three repetitions. The results showed that the addition of Cu with a different concentration of real influence (p < 0.05) towards growth and the ability of absorption on Gracilaria sp. Highest growth of Gracilaria sp. was achieved on A treatment (control) and the increase of the weight of 25.34 g and specific growth rate (SGR) of 0.43%. The absolute growth rate and specific growth rate (SGR) obtained at the treatment B (0.5 ppm) of -80.37g and-1.84% per day, treatment C (5 ppm) of -85.19 g and -2.02% per day, and treatment D (50 ppm) for -99.19 g and -2.47% per day. The higher the concentration of Cu given, then the growth of Gracilaria sp. will be even lower.

Tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) are a source of carotenoids they are easy to find. These compounds function as precursors of vitamin A, antioxidant, and prevent cancer. The extraction of carotenoid compounds for commercial products usually uses fresh plants, which are less efficient and require a lot of raw materials. The supply of these raw materials can be done through tissue culture. The frequency of subculture or supply of nutrients in tissue culture is very influential on the content of callus carotenoids produced. This study aimed to determine the effect of subculture frequency on growth, development and callus carotenoid content and to find out the right frequency of subculture to produce callus with optimal growth, development and carotenoid content. The design this study was a single Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments of subculture frequency and 5 replications. The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA at the 95% test level followed by DMRT in case a significant different was found The results showed subculture frequency affected growth, development and carotenoid content of callus Lycopersicon esculentum. Mill. The most optimal treatment to induce growth and production of carotenoids in this study was treatment of thrice subculture while the most optimal treatment in inducing development was the twice subculture treatment.

The simple fact is: That an experimental method for inducing measurable amounts of antibody for the three known poliomyelitis viruses, employing a killed-virus vaccine is available, and it now becomes possible to determine whether—and to what extent—the incidence of naturally occurring paralysis may be influenced. All that should be inferred now is that studies are progressing satisfactorily; there have been no set-backs nor anything but revelations that shed more light on the course ahead. We must continue to regard the experimental developments to date as providing immunologic markers along the way that tell us whether we are on the right road. That there is more to do now than before indicates that we have not stumbled down a by-way but have selected a road, with many lanes, that seems long indeed. Our problem is to select not only the fast lane but the one that is safest and most certain.

Gracilaria verrucosa is one type of seaweed that can be developed into a high-value product. Market demand for agar reaches 21.8% per year, but only 13.1% can be met. This is due to the low level of production of G. verrucosa in Indonesia. Utilization of G. verrucosa is still relying on aquaculture from the farm, which causes low production. Cultivation of seaweed with verticulture methods can increase the production of G. verrucosa. Karimunjawa is a potential area for seaweed cultivation. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of different density areas on the growth and production of G. Verrucosa and to determine the best density area for its production in Karimunjawa. This research used G. verrucosa wrapped in a mesh size of 0.5cm with a weight of 50g per pack. Each verticulture strap contains 4 packs and each treatment consists of 9 straps. The treatment was in the form of differences in the planting area of 25x25cm2 (A), 50x50cm2 (B) and 75x75cm2 (C). The results showed significant differences (P <0.01) between each treatment. The 75x75cm2 area has the best yield on absolute growth, relative growth rate (RGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) of 83.10 ± 4.12g; 3.96 ± 0.20% / day and 2.33 ± 0.07% / day. The best results of G. verrucosa production obtained at an area of 50x50cm2 (5.32 ± 0.26 kg / m2).

Abstract Harumanis is a famous green eating mango cultivar that has been commercially cultivated in Malaysia’s state of Perlis. A variety of nutrients are found in soil, all of which are necessary for plant growth. Micronutrients such as Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) are essential for Harumanis mango (Mangifera Indica) to growth. The importance of soil fertility in achieving high plant productivity and quality cannot be overstated. It should be used in a moderate amount and in a balanced manner. Predicting appropriate nutrients and the right timing to satisfy the tree’s demands is critical. The aim of this study is to create for Harumanis mango a fuzzy logic-based system to analyse the results of soil tests for nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) in the Harumanis mango orchard. The interpreted data are used to estimate N-P-K nutrient levels and indicate the optimal fertilizer solution and application timing for each Harumanis growth stages. The system utilizes Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) to predict the nutrients demand for Harumanis mango growth. Results shows the system able to calculate and predict values of required N-P-K fertilizer for optimal growth. Thus, assist farmers in predicting the proper amount of N-P-K to apply to Harumanis mango soil.

In RTRW Kota Binjai years 2011 - 2030, District of North Binjai designated as an industrial area. Industries that are planned to be developed are a high-tech industry. But the problem is whether the type specified in the RTRW industry is the industry that corresponds to the potential of local resources and the District of North Binjai? The purpose of this paper is to find the right industry to be developed by local potential or excellence, especially in the District Binjai Utara Binjai. The analytical tool used is the analysis of LQ, shift share and SWOT discovered the potential and advantages that can be seen Binjai compliance with industry directed by RTRW. The results of LQ and shift share analysis show that the sector with the potential to be developed in Binjai was the construction sector, finance, and services. The similarity with the RTRW policy is only in the service sector. This shows that the service sector can be developed while the computer industry, multimedia, publishing, and printing) is not in accordance with the local potential. However, if the government still wants to develop the industrial sector in North Binjai, there should be diversification strategies, namely building-related industry sectors, such as industry superior building materials and mining industries.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of product display based on colour, discount and brand on retail pleasure, arousal, flow, perceived merchandise quality, time spent, satisfaction and patronage intentions in both 3D and 2D interfaces. This study uses the flow theory and stimulus-organism-response framework to understand the effects of product coordination methods and interface dimensions on consumers’ emotional, cognitive and behavioural outcomes. Design/methodology/approach This study conducted a 2 (interface: 3D and 2D) × 3 (product coordination method: colour, discount and brand) between-subjects experimental design. The coordination of display refers to the way products are arranged based on similar properties, such as similar colour, discount or brand. 3D stores were designed using Mockshop, a 3D virtual retailing software. A total of 144 US female college students from various universities participated in the study. Findings The findings showed that the 3D interface produced higher flow, satisfaction, time spent and patronage intention than the 2D interface. Also, among the six display scenarios, participants who were in the colour-coordinated 3D store showed the highest levels of emotional, cognitive and behavioural outcomes except for retail pleasure and arousal. Originality/value This study investigates product display based on colour, discount and brand in both 3D and 2D interfaces. Although product coordination methods have been tested in 3D stores in previous studies, they have not been compared with their effects in the 2D interface such as online shopping sites. Therefore, this study fills in this gap in the literature, which can guide retailers in making the right decisions for visuals.
