This community service activity was carried out with the aim of increasing the professionalism of senior high school teachers at SMAN 7 Mataram through Classroom Action Research (CAR). This training activity is intended for teachers at SMAN 7 Mataram. The implementation of activities is presented in a workshop approach through lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and simulations. The presentation includes material on CAR, data analysis in CAR accompanied by several examples of proposal drafts and scientific publications related to CAR. The very high motivation of the participants was seen during the implementation of community service activities, in addition to the very positive response of the participants with an enthusiasm level of 90% seen during the implementation of this community service. The level of teacher satisfaction is very high with this activity and they have high hopes that further activities will be held as assistance for CAR activities in schools and are able to produce scientific papers that are worthy of publication.

Abstrak   Dalam penulisan karya tulis ilmiah, diperlukan kalimat efektif. Kalimat efektif adalah kalimat yang dapat mengungkapkan gagasan pemakainya secara tepat dan dapat dipahami secara tepat pula. Bahan kajian yang baik tidak akan dipahami pembaca secara baik apabila penulisnya tidak mampu menjelaskan ide-idenya dengan kalimat efektif. Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini adalah beberapa guru belum menggunakan kalimat efektif dalam menulis karya tulis ilmiah. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, perlu dilakukan pelatihan menulis kalimat efektif bagi guru, khususnya penyusunan karya tulis ilmiah (PTK) dalam menulis kalimat efektif pada PTK dalam bentuk Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM). Kegiatan PPM ini telah dilaksanakan oleh Tim Prodi PBI UNIPA Surabaya dan berjalan dengan baik secara virtual. Hal tersebut dapat buktikan dengan berdasarkan hasil tes akhir peserta, kemampuan menulis kalimat efektif guru dengan kriteria kesepadanan struktur sebesar 70%, kecermatan 65%, kehematan sebesar 80%, keparalelan 70 %, dan kelogisan sebesar 75%. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa hampir semua peserta dapat menulis kalimat efektif dalam penyusunan PTK sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa Indonesia.   Kata kunci: kalimat efektif, karya tulis ilmiah, guru SMP   Abstract   In writing scientific papers, effective sentences are needed. Effective sentences are sentences that can express the ideas of the wearer precisely and can be understood precisely too. Good study material will not be well understood by readers if the writer is unable to explain his ideas in the right sentence. The current phenomenon is that some teachers have not used effective sentences in writing scientific papers. Based on this phenomenon, it is necessary to carry out training in writing effective sentences for teachers, especially the preparation of scientific writing (PTK) in writing effective sentences in the CAR in the form of Community Service Program (PPM). This PPM activity has been carried out by the PBI UNIPA Surabaya Study Program Team and is running well virtually. This can be proven by the results of the participants' final tests, the teacher's ability to write effective sentences with the structural equivalence criteria of 70%, accuracy of 65%, savings of 80%, parallelity of 70%, and logic of 75%. Thus, it can be said that almost all participants can write effective sentences in the preparation of PTK according to Indonesian principles.   Keyword: effective sentences, scientific papers, junior high school teachers

Scientific articles are scientific papers of research results communicated in scientific publications, such as journals, magazines, or other publications. In schools, especially teachers who teach Bahasa Indonesia, are required to be able to motivate students to increase their reading interest in literature, because by studying literature students can get various benefits for their lives. Therefore, a teacher is required to be able to guide students to give appreciation for literary works, especially poetry. However, the reality in the field, teachers have difficulty teaching poetry musicalization. Because in addition to a calm understanding of literature itself, an understanding of music is also very important. This Community Service Activity aims to provide students with understanding and provide provisions for the ability to create poetry musicalization as an alternative in appreciating literature, especially poetry. The method used in this activity is in the form of workshops delivered with lectures, question-and-answer, and practical techniques. To find out the extent of student acceptance and understanding, as well as student abilities, at the beginning and end of the training an assessment or evaluation is carried out by filling out the pretest and posttest sheets. Based on the results of the tests that have been conducted, it is known that the participants experienced an increase in their understanding of the concepts of literary appreciation, poetry appreciation, and poetry musicalization from 64% to 100%. The use of computer programs in learning mathematics can help students construct mathematical concepts. Therefore, computer media is needed in learning mathematics today. One computer program that is often used by teachers to help explain geometry concepts is Geogebra. This community service activity aims to provide training on the use of Geogebra in instilling straight-line concepts, and graphs of quadratic functions, for junior and senior high school teachers in Jember Regency, which is attended by 30 people. This training was conducted in March 2016 for 2 training sessions, held at Jember 3 Public Middle School. The method used: presentation, practice, discussion, demonstration. Furthermore, assistance is provided at the school where the training participants teach. As a result, there was an increase in skills in utilizing the Geogebra program to teach students about the concept of straight lines, and graphs of quadratic functions. The expected output of the community service activities are: (1) abdimas articles which are published in journals / electronic media (2) Handbook on how to operate the Geogebra program.

ABSTRACTHigh Order Thinking Skill or abbreviated with HOTS is an ability that is applied in the revised 2013 curriculum. The community service activities aim to (1) help teachers improve their understanding of learning outcomes evaluation, (2) improve teacher understanding of HOTS questions, and (3) improve teachers' ability to make HOTS questions, so that later HOTS questions are in accordance with the standards 2013 revision curriculum. This community service activity was carried out in the form of short training for three meetings. This activity was held in SMA Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi, Empat Lawang Regency, South Sumatera Province, which was attended by high school teachers in Empat Lawang District. The method used in the implementation of this activity is the method of lecture, discussion, simulation and demonstration. The results of this activity were the increase in teachers' understanding of the HOTS problem and the teacher's ability to make HOTS questions. ABSTRAKKemampuan berpikir tinggi atau yang disingkat dengan HOTS merupakan kemampuan yang diterapkan dalam Kurikulum 2013 revisi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk  (1) membantu guru dalam meningkatkan pemahaman tentang evaluasi hasil belajar, (2) meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang soal HOTS, dan (3) meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal HOTS, sehingga nantinya diperoleh soal HOTS yang sesuai dengan standar Kurikulum 2013 revisi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan singkat selama tiga kali pertemuan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Empat Lawang Propinsi Sumatera Selatan yang diikuti oleh guru-guru SMA dalam Kabupaten Empat Lawang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, simulasi dan demonstrasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman guru tentang soal HOTS dan kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal HOTS.

Pembelajaran kimia sangat sensitif terhadap perspektif peserta didik. Ketika peserta didik tidak diarahkan dengan tepat maka akan berpeluang munculnya miskonsepsi. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah 1) mendeskripsikan cara meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi peserta didik, dan 2) efektivitas pelatihan yang dilakukan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi peserta didik. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh guru SMA yang tergabung dalam MGMP guru kimia. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara agar memeproleh informasi yang jelas dari para responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena yang terjadi selama proses kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan PkM diperoleh bahwa cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi peserta didik yakni, 1) mengembangkan suatu tes diagnostik berbasis pilihan ganda/essai, 2) melakukan tes diagnostik kepada peserta didik baik sebelum ataupun sesudah proses pembelajaran, dan 3) menyajikan materi kimia dengan mengintegrasi fenomena atau kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemudian, efektivitas pelatihan yang dilakukan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi peserta didik yakni dengan menyajikan konsep belajar kimia berbasis kimia representasi. Kegiatan ini menjadi salah satu strategi dalam mereduksi miskonsepsi peserta didik. Chemistry learning is very sensitive to students' perspectives. When students are not appropriately directed, there will be opportunities for misconceptions to arise. The objectives of this Community Service activity are 1) to describe how to improve the teacher's ability to identify student misconceptions, and 2) the effectiveness of the training carried out to increase the teacher's ability to identify student misconceptions. This training was attended by high school teachers who are members of the chemistry teacher MGMP. Data collection techniques are documentation, observation, and interview techniques to obtain clear information from the respondents. The data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis to describe the phenomena that occur during the activation process. The results of the community service activity showed that the ways to improve the teacher's ability to identify students' misconceptions were, 1) developing a multiple-choice/essay-based diagnostic test, 2) conducting diagnostic tests to students both before and after the learning process, and 3) presenting chemistry material by integrating phenomena of everyday life. Then, the effectiveness of the training carried out on improving the ability of teachers to identify students' misconceptions is by presenting the concept of learning chemistry based on representational chemistry. This activity is one of the strategies in reducing students' misconceptions.

Professional teachers not only perform functions related to pedagogical competence, but also professional functions. Indicated by improve professional functions in writing scientific papers. This Community Service collaborates with two partners, which are teachers who are member of MGMP Office Administration and teachers in SMKN 1 Jombang. The aim of this Community Service is to train teachers to write scientific papers well, and publish their papers as well. These activities conducted in training activity, lecturing, question and answer, discuss and practice how to write scientific papers well. The result of these activities are 1) the implementation of this scientific writing training for vocational high school teachers is consistent to the steps that planned before, with two partners, which are teachers who are member of MGMP Office Administration and teachers in SMKN 1 Jombang, 2) the overall response from the participants of this scientific writing trainingare very satisfied, mainly because of the  aspects of activities, speakers aspects, and general aspects.

The purpose of community service this time is first, helping the teacher's difficulties in writing scientific articles compiled from the results of Class Action Research (PTK) that has been done. Many results are obtained in teacher PTK and need to be published in order to be a reference for teachers and other educators. Second, for the promotion and class of teachers who have been promulgated in Permenegpan No. 16 of 2009 and Permendiknas No. 35 of 2010. Second, scientific articles written by teachers can be used for submissions for promotions and classes of teachers that have been promulgated in Permenegpan No. 16 of 2009 and Permendiknas No. 35 of 2010. Both candies require the calculation of the credit number of functional positions of teachers for the affairs of promotion and class. One of the credit figures is obtained from scientific publications. The target of this community service activity is to help teachers to hone their skills in terms of writing scientific articles and providing assistance / clinical scientific articles until published in the intended journal. The implementation of this activity is scheduled for three months, starting from: (1) giving material, (2) introducing and providing examples of scientific articles that have been published in national and international journals, (3) accompanying teachers in writing scientific papers compiled from the results of PTK, (4) helping teachers to assess the extent to which their scientific writing is worth publishing, and (5) helping to give directions to which journals will be intended to publish their work

Abstract: Based on data from Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Magelang in July 2018, the highest number of teachers is in group of  IV / a. One of the influencing factors is their reluctance to make scientific publications for the promotion. They do not have enough information about the journal to be addressed, do not yet understand what must be stated in a scientific article, systematics of writing, and how to make a bibliography. The online process is also one of the things they find difficult. The purpose of community service is to improve the ability of teachers to write scientific articles. Partners in this activity were 12 elementary and junior high school teachers in Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Magelang. The implementation time is 4 months consisting of 3 training sessions and following assistance. The material presented during the training included (1) scientific articles in the ranks of teachers, (2) reference managers, and (3) article submissions. The results of the training showed that all participants increasingly understood how to use scientific articles for promotion. In addition, 58% of participants are more aware and able to use the reference manager in Ms Office Word. In the third material, 67% of participants understood and were able to register and submit articles in the Paedagogie Journal. Keywords: scientific articles, training, scientific publications, classroom action research Abstrak: Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Magelang pada bulan Juli 2018, jumlah terbanyak guru berada pada golongan IV/a. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi adalah keengganan mereka dalam membuat publikasi ilmiah untuk kenaikan pangkat. Mereka tidak memiliki informasi yang cukup mengenai jurnal yang akan dituju, belum memahami apa yang harus dituangkan dalam sebuah artikel ilmiah, sistematika penulisan, serta cara membuat daftar pustaka. Proses online juga menjadi salah satu hal yang mereka anggap sulit. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah 12 orang guru SD dan SMP di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayan di Kota Magelang. Waktu pelaksanaan yakni 4 bulan terdiri dari 3 kali pelatihan dan ikuti pendampingan. Materi yang disampaikan pada saat pelatihan antara lain (1) artikel ilmiah dalam kepangkatan guru, (2) reference manager, dan (3) article submission. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta semakin memahami bagaimana memanfaatkan artikel ilmiah bagi pengajuan kenaikan pangkat. Selain itu, 58% peserta semakin paham dan mampu cara menggunakan reference manager pada Ms Office Word. This community service activity aims to increase the understanding of Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers in the Sleman Yogyakarta Region regarding the development of specific subject-specific thematic pedagogy based on TPACK. This activity was carried out online using Zoom Meeting involving 79 Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers in the Sleman Region of Yogyakarta. Service activities are carried out through lectures, questions and answers and performances. After this service activity has been carried out, it shows that 1) in developing subject-specific thematic pedagogy based on TPACK for Muhammadiyah elementary school teachers in the Sleman region of Yogyakarta, it is a learning tool that can encourage students to be more active in collaborating between technology, pedagogics and materials. 2) the development of subject specific thematic pedagogy based on TPACK for Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers in the Sleman Yogyakarta Region which is carried out online can be effectively carried out with cooperative learning strategies, Project based learning.

In this era, the teacher is required to keep the following time development. Teachers’ skill in using technology-based learning media is very desirable. Considering the need analysis, a community service activity is conducted in the form of training for Vocational High School teachers in office automation and governance in Surakarta City. The objective of service was to increase references for learning media use to teachers. The method employed in this community service activity was a series of activities including preparation, training, and pemonitoran stages. The preparation stage was conducted through coordination of service team and partner, training was conducted all day by giving understanding on Lectora Inspire learning media, and pemonitoran stage was conducted through WhatsApp group functioning to monitor the work and to give the participants the space for informal debriefing. The output of this training activity is an increase in teacher skills in using learning media. Generally, the participants of training attended the activity enthusiastically and this training’s benefit could be seen from 95% participants arguing that the material of the training was relevant to the participants’ needs.
