The majority of Cidomo coachmen in Gili Trawangan graduated from elementary school, and has adequate expertise on controlling horses, as on average they earned the profession as a coachman for more than 10 years in the markets, terminals in the area of Pamenang, Gondang and Tanjung, North Lombok Regency. As they have the background of being a coachman in the markets and terminals without paying attention to the courtesy and hospitality, the technical guidance activities for the coachmen were carried out on the courtesy and hospitality of serving the tourists as the passengers. The result of the technical guidance activities shows that after the evaluation implementation, most of Cidomo coachmen have been able to practice the knowledge and skills obtained from the technical guidance activities in their work. However, there still some Cidomo coachmen are negligent or not used to saying greetings, hello and thank you. The main constraint faced in the implementation of this technical guidance is in terms of setting up the time and schedule of the activities, because not all Cidomo coachmen have the same time to attend the implementation of the activities. Keywords: Attitude, Behavior, Polite, Courtesy Friendly.

Students as agents of change are required to have a lot of knowledge and skills during their studies. The addition of the ability of the skills of the students should be obtained based on practical activities during the lecture, but is often constrained by the unpreparedness of lab facilities and adequate infrastructure. This has an impact on student mastery of skills is not optimal. Application of science and technology activities aimed to establish a student majoring in animal husbandry skills through training making meatballs with chicken base material salvage. Methods are activities undertaken by: (1) lectures and discussions on potential, prospects and agribusiness agroindusti meatballs, (2) demonstration and coaching of making meatballs, (3) motivated the development of entrepreneurial spirit. The results showed that activities of the training material presented and received positive response from participants was satisfactory considering there has not yet been carried out similar activities. Generally, the participants wanted to adopt the material about making meatballs with chicken base material reject rate. Concluded that the target audience consists of students majoring in animal husbandry are very enthusiastic and active in the manufacture of technical guidance meatballs. In general, trainees wishing to do entrepreneurship by producing meatballs made ​​from chicken meat laying reject rate.

The Impact

This study aims to describe the impact of online mentoring activities in implementing the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model on the competence of elementary school teachers in training students’ critical thinking skills. The method was a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 25 elementary school teachers in Indonesia. The teachers received online mentoring in implementing RADEC learning model. The research instrument was a questionnaire to measure teachers’ knowledge and skills in training critical thinking. The data processing technique was carried out by calculating the mean and the percentage of each item to obtain a description of the teachers’ knowledge and skills in training students’ critical thinking before and after treatment. The data were analyzed inferentially with a paired sample t-test using SPSS version 22 software to see the impact of the treatment on teachers’ competence in training critical thinking. Based on the results of the paired-sample t-test, for both the knowledge and skills aspects, the probability value (sig) was 0.00 <0.05. This result means that there was a significant difference in the knowledge and skills of teachers in training students’ critical thinking skills before and after mentoring activities. The study results indicate that the online mentoring in implementing the RADEC learning model improved teachers’ competence in training elementary school students’ critical thinking skills.

To enable the process of energy transition towards carbon neutrality, it is important to educate the community on the need for social, economic, environmental and institutional transformation, and to educate and inform citizens to participate proactively in this change. This study evaluated the effectiveness of participation by elementary school students in educational activities and citizen science actions in enhancing their scientific knowledge and skills related to Ocean Literacy in the context of climate change. The activities were directed to children (aged 9–11) and involved pre-service teachers, in-service teachers and researchers, in formal and non-formal contexts. A total of 329 elementary school students participated in interdisciplinary science activities, focusing on the cause &amp; effect of climate change in the ocean. They learned to identify rocky shore marine species used to monitor climate change and acquired ICT skills by inserting species observations in a biodiversity mapping platform. Finally, students worked collaboratively to communicate to the community what they have learned through an exhibition at the Museum João de Deus. To assess the impact of the activities on acquisition of scientific knowledge and skills by the students, a mixed methodology was applied using pre and post-tests, analysis of the data inserted by students in the platform, and content analysis of the students’ work for the museum exhibition. The results of pre and post-tests revealed a significant increase in knowledge of the effects of climate change on the rocky shore species distribution, as well as of the importance of monitoring these species distribution. The data from the online biodiversity platform showed that 42% of the species identifications made by the students were correct. The ability of the students to communicate their learning to the wider community was evaluated by the scientific content, structure, presentation and creativity and of posters, models, videos and games produced. Most of students focused their communications and creations on the greenhouse effect, cause &amp; effect of climate change in the ocean and biodiversity. This study reinforces the importance of addressing Ocean Literacy and climate change through formal and non-formal educational activities with an investigative nature.

The present study was conducted to analyze the assessment models employed by Indonesian elementary school teachers in the context of assessment models as suggested by the curriculum in 2013. The analysis includes the selected assessment models and their implementation in real classroom settings to assess the students’ attitudes, knowledge, and skills. This study made use of a qualitative research design in which the data were analyzed by means of deep argumentation and presented descriptively. Data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the selected elementary school teachers. The collected data were analyzed in an analytical manner to obtain the findings.   The findings of the present study indicated that primary school teachers employed various models of assessment based on the aspects of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Assessment of the students’ attitude includes observation, self-assessment, peer assessment, and teachers’ records. Assessment of the students’ knowledge includes a written test, an oral test, and assignment.  Assessment of the students’ skill includes performance, portfolio, and project. Meanwhile,  the scores of the students’ achievement were analyzed based on the scores of the students’ attitude obtained by using the instruments, such as observation blank sheet, Self-assessment, peer assessment, and teacher’ records. Self-assessment and peer assessment were also used as a confirmation of the scores for the report card and the teachers’ records were mainly used to provide the suggestions for the students’ improvement.

Training in making woven models as a medium for learning art and culture and this workshop aims to train skills: making woven models from asturo paper to improve the quality of visual art learning in elementary schools. Training methods by providing individual practice guidance to weaving skills directly to 20 elementary school teachers. The results of this community service activity are (1) non-physical for elementary school teachers in cluster 3 Donowarih Karangploso are very interested in getting art training and are willing to disseminate knowledge and skills to other teachers in their assignments. (2) individual trainees are skilled in making woven shapes of fish, flying birds, stars, baskets, and ribbon-shaped woven frames. Pelatihan pembuatan model karya anyaman sebagai media pembelajaran seni budaya dan prakarya ini bertujuan melatih keterampilan: membuat model-model anyaman dari kertas asturo untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran senirupa di SD. Metode pelatihan dengan memberikan bimbingan praktek individu keterampilan menganyam secara langsung kepada 20 guru SD. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah (1) non-fisik bagi guru-guru SD di gugus 3 Donowarih Karangploso sangat berminat mendapat pelatihan senirupa-prakarya, dan bersedia untuk menyebarluaskan  pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru lain di tempat tugasnya. (2) peserta pelatihan secara individu terampil membuat anyaman bentuk ikan, burung terbang, bintang, keranjang (besek), dan anyaman pita bentuk pigura.

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman Kepala Sekolah PAUD dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran yang menarik bagi siswa. Tema pengabdian yang dipilih adalah game edukatif sebagai media pembelajaran. Dari beberapa metode pengabdian maka dipilih metode pengabdian partisipatif. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa pembelajaran dilakukan pada tanggal 9 November 2019 dengan jumlah keseluruhan peserta 34 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa pembelajaran dilakukan oleh tim pelaksana bersama dengan para Kepala Sekolah PAUD yang tergabung di Kelompok Kerja Kepala Sekolah (K3 PAUD) di Alalak Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan tahapan dimulai dari tahap persiapan, dan tahap pelaksanaan yang mencakup pemaparan materi dan pembuatan game edukatif. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah bahwa pelaksanan Bimbingan Teknis berlangsung lancar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim pelaksana telah berhasil mencapai tujuan yaitu para peserta bimbingan teknik di Alalak Kabupaten Barito Kuala tersebut mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pembuatan game edukatif sebagai media pembelajaran yang menarik bagi anak-anak PAUD. Para peserta Bimbingan Teknis terlihat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembuatan game edukatif dengan mampu membuat game edukatif mengenal buah dan angka.This service aims to increase the understanding of the Principal of PAUD in making learning media interesting for students. The chosen theme of service is educational games as learning media. Of the several methods of service, the method of participatory service chosen. Community service activities took place on November 9, 2019, with a total of 34 participants. Service activities in the form of learning are carried out by the implementing team and the Principals of PAUD Schools. They are members of the School Principal Work Group (K3 PAUD) in Alalak, Barito Kuala Regency. The activity is carried out with stages starting from the preparation stage and the implementation stage, including the presentation of material and making educational games. The results obtained are that the implementation of Technical Guidance takes place smoothly. This activity has succeeded in achieving the goal that the technical guidance participants in Alalak Barito Kuala Regency have increased knowledge and skills about making educational games as an exciting learning medium for PAUD children. The Technical Guidance participants seemed enthusiastic in participating in the activities of creating educational games by being able to make educational games to recognize fruit and numbers.

Berdasarkan hasil inisiasi pengamatan lembaga mitra yang dilakukan oleh tim Pengabdian Masyarakat Prodi Teknologi Pendidikan FKIP ULM, terungkap bahwa banyak guru yang masih minim dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring/jarak-jauh atau E-learning di masa pandemi COVID-19. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru untuk mengembangkan dan mengoptimalkan konten dan fitur-fitur E-learning platform Google classroom. Kegiatan penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: 1) untuk mengetahui kondisi faktual pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring/pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) berbasis Google classroom di lembaga mitra. 2) melaksanakan program pelatihan mengembangkan konten dan optimalisasi penggunaan fitur-fitur Google classroom pada lembaga mitra. 3) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam pengembangan konten dan optimalisasi penggunaan fitur-fitur Google classroom melalui desiminasi E-book praktis bagi lembaga mitra. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan mengadopsi pola pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan meliputi tiga tahapan, yaitu: perencanaan program, pelaksanaan program, observasi dan evaluasi program/refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan kondisi faktual pembelajaran daring/ PJJ atau penggunaan E-learning Google classroom di SDN Kec. Banjarmasin Utara adalah sebagai berikut: 1) kondisi faktual pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring/PJJ menggunakan E-learning terungkap bahwa guru-guru SDN Kec. Banjarmasin Utara sudah terbiasa mengembangkan konten pembelajaran Google classroom, seperti: Power point, Youtube, dan Portable document format, sehingga program pelatihan difokuskan kepada optimalisasi penggunaan fitur-fitur Google classroom dan desiminasi produk E-book praktis penggunaan Google classroom bagi lembaga mitra. Pelatihan pengembangkan konten dan optimalisasi fitur-fitur Google classroom dibagi kedalam lima sesi, yaitu: 1) pengantar Google classroom, 2) mengakses Google classroom dan membuat kelas, 3) Video streaming, 4) Classwork material: Assignment, Quiz, Question, 5) People: Grade & Grading.     Based on the results observations of partner institutions conducted by the researcher team of the education technology study program, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, it was revealed that teachers are still lacking in carrying out online/distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic because the teacher's lack of knowledge and skills to develop and optimize the content and features by using google classroom. This research activity aims 1) to know the actual condition of implementing online/distance learning using google classroom. 2) implement a training program to develop content and optimize the use of google classroom features. 3) to improve teachers' knowledge and skills in content development and optimization the use of google classroom features using e-books usage guides for partner institutions. Implementing the training program uses three stages: 1) program planning, 2) program implementation and 3) program evaluating/reflections. The results of the study showed the factual condition of online/distance learning using google classroom at elementary school North Banjarmasin district is as follows: 1) the implementation of online/distance learning revealed that teachers at elementary school North Banjarmasin district is accustomed to developing google classroom learning content, such as PowerPoint, YouTube, and portable document formats so that the training program is focused on optimizing the use of google classroom features using e-books usage guides for partner institutions. The content development training and optimization of google classroom features are divided into five sessions: 1) introduction to google classroom, 2) access google classroom and create classes, 3) video streaming, 4) classwork material: assignment, quiz, question, 5) people: grade & grading.

Illegal invasion of schooling into the preschool education can be peacefully suspended by developing the conceptual play based on narratives, in which special characters are acting. These characters of conceptual play are of the dual nature: while they reason and act as concepts that come alive, they feel and communicate as humans in flesh and blood. In the elementary school, the development of students’ learning activity employs the conceptual plays as a successful conduit for introducing concepts, which cannot be constructed through hand-on activities. In the preschool, the conceptual play opens the way to coach knowledge and skills traditionally associated with schooling. By teaching preschoolers with the help of the conceptual plays, adults get the opportunity to design the learning content that combines affect and intelligence, lays the foundation for operating with schemes, and most importantly, promotes children's initiative in intellectual pursuits and expands its scope. The outlines of conceptual play are exemplified by episodes of teaching literacy in the first grade with the ABC textbook by D.B. Elkonin.

Abstract Socialization and training on writing official letters were held in Kubang Puji Village, Pontang District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. The activity was carried out as a result of the collaboration of a team of Indonesian language lecturers from several different departments at the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta to jointly go down to the community to carry out service in the form of socializing and training official letters for staff in the village and sub-district environment. This activity begins with socialization which aims to regenerate public awareness to be able to use the Indonesian language properly and correctly, both orally and in writing, as well as socialize matters related to correspondence material, especially official letters. After that, the lecturer team made a direct approach to the community to carry out technical guidance on writing official letters. The result of this activity is that the community is reminded of the importance of communicating using good and correct Indonesian, as well as increasing knowledge and skills in writing official letters.   Keywords –socialization, training, official letter, Pontang District, Serang-Banten   Abstrak Sosialisasi dan pelatihan penulisan surat dinas dilaksanakan di Desa Kubang Puji, Kecamatan Pontang, Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten. Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan hasil kolaborasi di antara tim dosen bahasa Indonesia yang berasal dari beberapa jurusan yang berbeda di Politeknik Negeri Jakarta untuk sama-sama turun ke masyarakat untuk melakukan pengabdian berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan surat dinas bagi para staf di lingkungan desa dan kecamatan. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan sosialisasi yang bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kembali kesadaran masyarakat untuk dapat menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dengan baik dan benar, baik secara lisan maupun tertulis, serta menyosialisasikan juga hal-hal yang terkait dengan materi korespondensi, khususnya, surat dinas. Setelah itu, tim dosen melakukan pendekatan secara langsung dengan masyarakat untuk membimbing secara teknis dalam penulisan surat dinas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini masyarakat tersadarkan kembali akan pentingnya berkomuniasi menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar, serta adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menulis surat dinas. Concentration is an important aspect of mastering the material. Especially for students in elementary school. The age that is still very young, active, and enjoying to play, will have difficulty in understanding the subject material when they lack concentration. Understanding lessons at school experiences ease when combined with the game. The concentration game technique training for Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers in Palangka Raya aims to develop knowledge and skills for teachers to combine games with lessons so that they can produce meaningful learning.
