Background: The effort to control mosquitoes can be done by terminating the life cycle of mosquitoes, eradication of the larval sadium, namely larvicides. Rambutan leaves (Nephelium lappaceum L.) contain tannin compounds, saponins. Saponins are destroying red blood cells through the reaction of hemolysin, are toxic to cold-blooded animals, including cold-blooded insects, one of the insects that often interfere with human life is mosquitoes.Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the extract of rambutan leaves on the death of Aedes aegypti larvae Methods: This research is an experimental research. The object of research was Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. The study was conducted at the writer home of Lamjamee Village, Banda Aceh. Research time is August 23-25, 2017. Type of research is an experimental study that is the effect of rambutan leaf extract  on the death of Aedes aegypti larvae. The object of research is the population of Aedes aegypti larvae. The research subjects taken were Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae that lived because of the administration of rambutan leaf extract with a concentration of 5%, 10%, 15%. Statistical data analysis used Anova LSD test.Results: The results showed that the death of Aedes aegypti larvae by using rambutan leaf extract (Nephelium lappaceum L.) dose of 5% with an average of 19.7. Dose 10% had an average of 34.3, and a dose of 15% of the average mortality was 43.7. There is a significant difference between each dose of the mortality rate of Aedes aegypti larvae, with a value of F= 28.1 (F-count > F-table = 4.07).Conclusion: Various concentrations of the three treatments of rambutan leaf extract namely 5%, 10% and 15% are very effective against the death of Aedes aegypti larvae. Suggestions, can be used and practiced in everyday life, so as to reduce the use of chemical insecticides.

Abstract: Aedes aegypti L. is a mosquito carrying dengue virus that causes dengue fever, especially in Southeast Asia which is a tropical rain forest region which is a habitat for mosquito growth. Aedes aegypti L. mosquito control is carried out by chemical means of fogging and using abate but this control actually causes Aedes aegypti L. mosquitoes to become resistant or immune to chemical drugs so that a new breakthrough is created by making bioinsecticides biologically to eradicate the Aedes aegypti L. mosquito. with characteristics that are environmentally friendly and do not kill non-target animals and cause the Aedes aegypti L. mosquito not to become resistant. To be able to realize this desire so that the sugar cane granules extract of Annona squamosa L. containing active compounds in the form of annonain and squamosin so that they are toxic to Aedes aegypti L. mosquito larvae. Further research is to test the heating temperature level of the granules of Annona squamosa L. extract temperature of 40 ° C and 60 ° C which is more deadly of Aedes aegypti L. mosquito larvae. This research method uses a completely randomized design with four repetitions. The temperature of 60 ° C uses concentrations of 1 ppm, 6 ppm, 12 ppm, 18 ppm, 24 ppm and 30 ppm. As for the temperature of 40 ° C using concentrations of 1 ppm, 7 ppm, 14 ppm, 21 ppm, 28 ppm, and 35 ppm, each temperature compared with aquadest and abate. Data analyzed using probit analysis to determine the LC50, then followed by a statistical test paired sample T-test with SPSS to find out a significant difference between heating temperatures of 40 ° C to 60 ° C. These results then show that a higher temperature of 60 ° C has a higher level of toxicity compared to a lower temperature of 40 ° C.

Abstract. The study of the efficacy of betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) and garlic extract (Allium sativum) on the mortality of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae was carried out at the Zoology Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Halu Oleo Kendari University. Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae were obtained from the rearing of F2 from Aedes aegypti eggs that were taken by ovitrap from in Kambu Village, Kendari City, which is an endemic area of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Extrac of betel leaf (Piper betle L.) and garlic extract (Allium sativum) at concentrations of 1.0%, 2.0% and 3.0% respectively and their combinations were given to Aedes aegypti larvae (L4). The results showed that the highest larval mortality (88%) occurred after 24 hours of exposure to betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) at a concentration of 3%, whereas with garlic extract (Allium sativum) the highest larval mortality (98%) occurred at concentration 3 %, and for the highest larval mortality (99%) found in a combination of 3% betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) and 3% garlic extract (Allium sativum). Based on WHO (2009), the most effective treatment for killing Aedes aegyti larvae is 3% garlic (Allium sativum) extract and a combination of 3% betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) and 3% garlic extract (Allium sativum).Keywords:  Biopesticide, Mortality, Aedes aegypti, betle leaf (Piper betle L.), garlic (Allium sativum).

Social interaction is an inseparable part of human life, including an athlete, because literally, humans are social creatures. Social interactions carried out in society can be influenced by other factors such as family and social media. This study aims to determine how many roles out social media both on the social interaction of athletes. This research is quantitative research with the instrument used is a questionnaire. The population in this study was 70 National athletes from Riau Province. The analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative in the form of a percentage. The results revealed that the family has a good role with a value of 32.86%, while social media does not have enough roles with a percentage obtained of 40% and for both family and social media have a sufficient role of 34.29%. Social media and family have an adequate role for athletes in social interaction. This study has several limitations including the limited area and scope of research subjects.

Background: Flies (Musca domestica) can act as vectors of typhus, dysentery, and cholera. Various methods have been used to control flies from around human life, either mechanically (light traps), a chemical in the form of toxic baits or insecticides, or with scents that are repellent. A mixture of curry leaf extract with soursop leaves can be used as an insecticide to repel house flies. Because curry leaves and soursop leaves contain compounds, tannins, saponins, and flavonoids that flies do not like.Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a mixture of curry leaves with soursop leaves as a natural insecticide in repelling the flies (Musca Domestica).Methods: This research is an experimental design with a mixture of curry leaf extract with soursop leaves on the power of repelling house flies. This research was conducted in 2019 in Darul Kamal District, Aceh Besar. The object of the research was 450 house flies, which consisted of five treatments with three repetitions. Data analysis was carried out with the one-way ANOVA statistical test.Results: The descriptive results showed that at a dose of 10gr/100ml the average flies were able to repel 37 flies, at a dose of 20 gr/100ml were 44, at a dose of 30 gr/100ml were 59 and at a dose of 40 gr/100ml was 70. Of the four treatments, the most effective dose was at a dose of 40gr/100ml, which was 70 (77.7%). Statistically, it showed that there was a significant difference (p < 0.05) between various doses/treatments of mixed extracts of curry leaves (Murraya koeginii) and soursop leaves (Annona muricata Linn) on the repelling power of house flies (Musca domestica), with p-value = 0.000.Conclusion: A mixture of curry leaf extract (Murraya koeginii) with soursop leaf (Annona muricata Linn) is effective as an insecticide in repelling house flies (Musca domestica).

Dengue Fever is a significant health issue in Indonesia for it is always been found and unresolved since 1968. Dengue Fever is transmitted through mosquito (Aedes aegypti) bite. Resistance of mosquito larvae towards temephos as consequence of chemical larvicide consumption has been reported in several countries. One of safe and environmentally friendly efforts to control mosquito is by using herbal larvicide which produced from plants. This study examines methanol extract of Citrus mitis, Citrus aurantifolia, and Citrus maxima leaf toward mosquito larvae Ae. aegypti instar III for 24 hours. Data of larvae mortality is analyzed using probit analysis by SPSS software. The result shows that Citrus mitis has the highest toxicity with the lowest lethal concentrations (LC) that are LC50 = 1.547 ppm and LC90 = 3.328 ppm. It followed by Citrus aurantifolia and Citrus maxima respectively.Keywords: larvicide; Aedes aegypti; leaf extract; Citrus mitis; Citrus aurantifolia; Citrus maxima

DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever) is a serious problem in Indonesia. DHF disease control has been applied so far, one of which is the use of larvacide temephos (abate). However larvacide is a chemical insecticide that has a negative impact on human health and causes resistance. Therefore in this research, biological control is carried out by utilizing entomopathogenic fungi as a larvacide. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of entomopathogenic fungi isolated from Ae aegypti larvae. Against the death of Ae. Aegypti mosquito larvae with the moist chamber method. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern and performed two repetitions. Factor A is a type of fungi with 3 levels, namely A1: Aspergillus sp1, A2: Aspergillus sp2, and A3: Syncephalastrum sp. Factor B is a dilution with 7 levels, namely B0: Control, B1: 100 (without dilution), B2: 10-1, B3: 10-2, B4: 10-3, B5: 10-4, B6: 10-5 with every treatment was applied in 2 repetitions. Observations were made 24 hours after treatment for 3 days. Data were analyzed using analysis of variances (anova) and continued with the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at 5%. The results indicate that fungi isolates are the most effective in killing Ae. Aegypti mosquito larvae is Aspergillus sp1 and Aspergillus sp2 on the treatment of spores without dilution. <p><em>This study aims to produce Macromedia flash-based teaching materials in IT-based statistical data analysis courses that are tested validity. The form of research carried out is research development under the term Research and Development (R&amp;D). This research was conducted at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UIR Academic Year 2018/2019 in sixth-semester students. The research subjects in this study were sixth-semester students of UIP Mathematics FKIP. Based on the 4-D development model, the researcher made the design of this development procedure consisting of only 3 stages, namely defining, planning, and developing. The deployment stage (disseminated) was not carried out due to time and cost limitations. The data collection instrument in this study was a validation sheet of learning tools. The data analysis technique is an analysis technique used is the descriptive analysis that describes the validity of Macromedia flash-based teaching materials on IT-based statistical data analysis courses. From the research results obtained validity of Macromedia flash-based teaching materials meets the category of very valid with an average total of 87,955. Based on the research results it can be concluded that research has produced Macromedia flash-based teaching materials in valid IT-based statistical data analysis courses.</em></p>

Latar Belakang: Aedes aegypti merupakan nyamuk yang dapat berperan sebagai vektor Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD). Upaya promotif dan preventif menjadi mutlak dilakukan untuk memutus mata rantai penularan dengan membunuh larva nyamuk dengan larvasida alami menggunakan ekstrak daun sirih (Piper betle) sebagai insektisida alami. Tujuan dari penelitian: ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan abate dan ekstrak daun sirih (Piper betle) dalam mematikan larva Aedes aegypti L instar III. Desain penelitian: ini bersifat eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan 1 kontrol dan 8 kali pengulangan percobaan. Hasil Penelitian: dapat diketahui bahwa untuk penggunaan ekstrak daun sirih (Piper betle) dengan konsentrasi 5% dapat mematikan larva sebanyak 8 ekor, sedangkan konsentrasi 10% tidak dapat mematikan larva (0 larva) dan konsentrasi 15% dapat mematikan larva sebanyak 17 (85%) sedangkan untuk penggunaan abate dengan konsentrasi 5%, 10% dan 15% dapat mematikan larva sebanyak 160 larva (100%). Kesimpulan: bahwa abate mempunyai efektifitas lebih tinggi di banding dengan ekstrak daun sirh (Piper betle).     Background: Aedes aegypti is a mosquito that can act as a vector of dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Promotove and preventive effort are absolutely necessary to break the chain to transmission by killing mosquito larvae with natural larvacides using betel leaf extract (Piper betle) as a natural insecticides. The purposes of this study: this was to determine the differences in abate and betel leaf extract (Piper batle) in kliing Aedes aegypti instar III larvae. Research methods this is an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments 1 control and 8 repetitions of the experiment. The results: it can be seen that for the use of betel leaf extract(Piper betle) with a concentration cannot kill larvae in 17 (85%) whilke for the use of abate with a concentration of 5%, 10% and 15% can kill larvae of 160 (100%). Conclusion: that the abate has a higher effectiveness compared to sirih leaf extract.

This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of betel leaf extract conducted at a concentration of 2.5%, 5.0%, 7.5%, 10% as larvicide toward the development of Aedes Aegypti Sp. Aedes Aegypti Sp larvae are dangerous vectors in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in humans. The method in this research was carried out on an experimental method by using a post-test only design and sampling with a purposive sampling method. The effectiveness of betel leaf extract larvicide on the development of Aedes Aegypti Sp larvae was carried out by mixing betel leaf extract with several concentrations in one container Aedes Aegypti Sp larvae inside. The results obtained in this research were carried out by the Kruskal-Wallis test, the test found that there was a significant difference because it was given a 95% confidence index. The larvae treated with betel leaf extract with a concentration of 10% had the highest effectiveness in stopping the development of Aedes Aegypti Sp larvae, which proved at the mortality at a concentration of 10%, found total mortality of 20 larvae in 8 hours of treatment. Betel leaf extract with a concentration of 10% had the highest effectiveness of discontinuing the development of Aedes Aegypti Sp larvae.

Vector-borne diseases are still a health problem in some tropical countries. One vector-borne disease is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). DHF never decreases and even tends to continue to increase, and many cause deaths in children, 90% of them attack children under 15 years. DHF cases in 2018 amounted to 65,602 cases, with 467 deaths (CFR = 0.71%). The behavior of holding water in various places such as tubs and tendons indirectly creates a breeding place for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. The use of chemicals as insecticides can cause the death of non-target animals, environmental pollution, and the occurrence of vector resistance to insecticides. Therefore it is necessary to do other methods including the use of vegetable insecticides. Sugar apple leaves can be used to kill Aedes aegypti larvae. Sugar apple leaves will obtain throughout the year. The purpose of this study is to know the ability of young and old sugar apple leaves to kill Aedes aegypti larvae. This type of research is a posttest only control group design. The study sample was part of the Aedes aegypti larvae on the final instar III. The experiment to kill Aedes aegypti larvae use two types of sugar apple leaf extract, namely young and old sugar apple leaves with nine treatments four replications. Each treatment consisted of 25 larvae. The research results show There was no significant difference in the number of dead larvae using either extracts from young sugar apple leaves or old sugar apple leaves. LC90 of sugar apple leaf extract was between 0.05632 to 0.08324% and the effective residual age at LC90 (0.06568%) with the death of Aedes aegypti larvae was 92% over 24 hours (1 day).
