The formulation of the problem in this study is that the Indonesian government emphasizes the implementation of character education in the learning process in schools. in practice there are reductions that result in the practice of character education not being comprehensive, because prioritizing the teaching of values is more emphasis on the cognitive side. This research is a qualitative descriptive study conducted at the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Gorontalo State University. The source of the data uses a purposive sample that focuses on selected informants. Data collection is needed through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used in this study is interactive analysis with 4 components of analysis, namely: 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data presentation, and 4) conclusion. The results of the research data are as follows: 1) Based on the results of the interviews, it was concluded that 100% of the speakers had heard the term character education. 2) 97% of informants do not understand about 97% character education. The resource person does not understand the implementation of 100% character education 99% of speakers do not know how to teach character education to students. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah pemerintah Indonesia memberi penekanan pada pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. pada praktiknya terjadi reduksi-reduksi yang mengakibatkan praktik pendidikan karakter tidak komprehensif, karena lebih mengedepankan pada pengajaran nilai-nilai saja yakni penekanan lebih pada sisi kognitif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan dilakukan di Fakultas keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Sumber data menggunakan sampel purposif (purposive sample) yang fokus pada informan-informan terpilih. Pengumpulan data yang diperlukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis interaktif dengan 4 komponen analisis yaitu: 1) pengumpulan data, 2) reduksi data, 3) penyajian data, dan 4) penarikan kesimpulan. Data hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Berdasarkan hasil wawancara diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa 100 % narasumber pernah mendengar istilah pendidikan karakter. 2) 97% narasumber tidak paham mengenai pendidikan karakter 97% narasumber tidak paham implementasi pendidikan karakter 100% narasumber ingin mengajarkan pendidikan karakter terhadap siswa jika nanti mengajar disekolah. 99% narasumber tidak tau cara mengajarkan pendidikan karakter kepada siswa.

The purpose of this study was to describe the French TV ads that contains a description ofvalue the characters, and its compatibility with character education in Semarang State University. This study using qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study are the characteristics of the French in French-language TV ads which are downloaded from the site www.youtube.com. Data collection techniques in this study are techniques of documentation, see,and record. Data analysis technique used is the technique analysis of the message content. Theresults shows that in six French TV ads, there are fourteen characters and habits of the French:polite, willing to help, attentive and loving, vigorously, intelligent, individualistic, adventurous, conscientious or not careless, friendly, disciplined, obedient to the rules, romantic, custombises, and fashionable. Of the French characters and habits of the French appearing, there areeight in accordance with the value of character education in Semarang State University. Thecharacters that correspond to the value are: smart, responsibility, caring, tolerant, democratic,patriotism, firm, and politeness.

<p><em>The struggle for modernity gave rise to the degradation of the value of character education. At this stage the revitalization of the value of religious local wisdom in tradition needs to be developed again. The existence of nyadran tradition in Ngepringan continues to be developed by mixing the value of local wisdom with religious values. This unique combination is a form of local wisdom against the individual culture that developed in the community, the development of modernity. This means that the community can not only uphold the cultural values of the ancestors, and also cannot adapt the tradition to conditions, and still insert religious values in it. Nyadran tradition is still played by the Ngepringan community because they are spiritual tourism and become a harmonizer political, social, economic and spiritual life. The collection of data information is through observation and interview with the Ngepringan village community. The purpose of this study is to explore religious values in the Nyadran ceremony procession. This type of research is ethnography with qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques use techniques, interviews, documentation, and language content. The data analysis uses interactive analysis technique. The results of this study are to reveal and describe the religious values in the ceremony procession that need to be preserved and improved by the Ngepringan village community in the face of modernity.</em></p><p><em>Pergulatan modernitas melahirkan degradasi nilai pendidikan karakter. Pada titik ini revitalisasi nilai kearifan lokal religius dalam tradisi perlu dikembangkan kembali. Eksistensi tradisi nyadran di Ngepringan terus dikembangkan dengan mencampur nilai kearifan lokal dengan nilai religius. Perpaduan yang unik ini merupakan bentuk kearifan lokal melawan budaya individualis yang berkembang di masyarakat mengikuti perkembangan modernitas. Hal ini bermakna bahwa masyarakat disana tidak hanya menjunjung nilai-nilai budaya dari para leluhur, melainkan juga mampu menyesuaikan tradisi dengan kondisi, serta masih menyisipkan nilai-nilai religius di dalamnya. Tradisi nyadran masih tetap dipertahankan oleh masyarakat Ngepringan dikarenakan nyadran sebagai wisata rohani serta menjadi penyelaras kehidupan politik, sosial, ekonomi, dan agama. Informasi data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan masyarakat desa Ngepringan. Tujuan studi ini untuk menggali nilai religius dalam prosesi upacara nyadran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah etnografi dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan analisis isi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan nilai religius dalam prosesi upacara nyadran yang perlu terus dilestarikan dan ditingkatkan oleh masyarakat desa Ngepringan dalam menghadapi modernitas.</em></p>

This study aimed to describe the character values in the symbolism of Ngawi Batik Srambang Park motif in art learning based on cultural diversity in elementary schools. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with a hermeneutic approach. The subjects of this study were three Ngawi Batik craftsmen. The data collection technique was done by observing, interviewing and documenting. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique with 4 stages including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the research showed that there are values of religious character, hard work, peace-loving, friendly (communicative), environmental care, social care, responsibility, respect for achievement, love for the country, and independence in the symbolism of Ngawi Batik for Srambang Park motif. The use of Batik Srambang Park motif for learning in elementary schools had two relevance. First, character education values were reflected in Batik Srambang Park. Second, Srambang Park Batik was a two-dimensional regional art work. Thus, the learning is not only teaching about the concept of understanding the material but also teaching character values.

Nationalism values from the attitude of the majority of young people today have declined. Therefore, nationalism is one of the values in strengthening character education which has been intensified so far by the government. This study aimed to describe the nationalism values contained in Nh. Dini’s novels. The data in this study were three novels by Nh. Dini entitled Jepun Negerinya Hiroko (Japan is Hiroko’s Country), Pada Sebuah Kapal (On A Ship), and Keberangkatan (Departure). Purposive sampling was used in this study as the sampling technique. The data collection technique used was documentation. The data were analysed using the interactive analysis technique. The result obtained from this study is the existence of nationalism in the forms of love for the homeland, willingness to sacrifice, and preserving the richness of the nation’s cultures in the three novels of Nh. Dini.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi 8 metode kepramukaan sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter siswa sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Selong. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 54 orang sebagai data primer, terdiri dari 3 orang kepala sekolah, 6 orang pembina putra dan putri, 45 orang siswa atau anggota pramuka penggalang SD. Data diperoleh melalui hasil wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menerapkan teknik analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Kebenaran dan keabsahan data ditetapkan melalui teknik triangulasi sumber, metode, dan waktu. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa implementasi delapan metode kepramukaan terdiri dari: mengamalkan kode kehormatan pramuka, memberikan bimbingan dan motivasi dari pembina, menyelenggarakan kegiatan secara berkelompok, menyelenggarakan kegiatan yang menarik dan menantang, melakukan aktifitas sambil belajar, menyelenggarakan kegiatan di alam terbuka, menerapkan sistem satuan terpisah, dan memberikan penghargaan tanda kecakapan. Pelaksanaan metode kepramukaan berpotensi sebagai sarana untuk menguatkan karakter siswa sekolah dasar.THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EIGHT SCOUTING METHODS IN REINFORCING ELEMENTARY STUDENTS’ CHARACTERThis study was aimed at describing the implementation of 8 scouting methods as strengthening character education for elementary school students in Selong. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects were 54 people as primary data, consisting of 3 school principals, 6 male and female coaches, 45 students or members of elementary school scouts. The data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Then they were analyzed by applying the interactive analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. The correctness and validity of the data were determined through the triangulation technique of sources, methods, and time. The results show that the implementation of the eight scouting methods consists of: practicing the scouting honor code, providing guidance and motivation from the coach, organizing activities in groups, organizing interesting and challenging activities, carrying out activities while learning, holding activities in the open, implementing a separate unit system. , and giving awards a mark of proficiency. The implementation of the scouting method has the potential as a means of strengthening the character of elementary school students.

This study aims to determine the Discipline Character Education Learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Located at RA Islamiyah Bulaklo. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data that has been collected is checked for validity by source triangulation and technical triangulation. Analyzed with interactive analysis techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusions. Research informants are the head of the foundation, principal, teachers, and guardians of students. The results showed that by giving Id Cards, students could line up neatly, put shoes and bags in their place according to the order on the Identity card which made students more disciplined and patiently waiting for their turn. From this study, it can be concluded that in the implementation of character education for early childhood (4-5 years) at RA Islamiyah Bulaklo in implementing character education using habituation activities starting from the child entering the gate until going home from school. For habituation activities such as marching, praying, memorizing Asmaul Husna, washing hands, and so on, by giving understanding to children, always be patient waiting for their turn according to the number on the Identity Card.

The village administration system functions as a guard, guide, mobilizer and service. Village communities need services to meet needs that cannot be fulfilled by themselves. This study aims to determine public perceptions of the performance of the village government of Bomo Blimbingsari Banyuwangi in providing services to community members. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive with a phenomological approach. The subjects in this study consisted of the village administration and members of the Bomo village community. Data collection is done by observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. Data analysis technique used is interactive analysis techniques including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, then drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that community perceptions of the performance of the village government of Bomo, Blimbingsari Banyuwangi sub-district in providing services to residents 76 percent of people consider that it is good enough and satisfying. This is evidenced by friendly, fast, and timely services, while 24 percent consider it less satisfactory because they must go back and forth in completing the file. The types of services provided are 1) Death Certificate; 2) SKCK Cover Letter; 3) Birth Certificate; 4) Certificate of Disability (SKTM); 5) Family Card Cover Letter; 6) Certificate of Change of Name; 7) Electricity Installation Certificate, Capable of Disadvantaged Communities; 8) Certificate of Moving House Address and Coming Certificate; 9) Certificate of Marriage (SKUN); 10) Letter of Establishment; 11) KTP Cover Letter

Human life is closely related to the environment but still lacks a sense of concern and responsibility for the environment, so it is necessary to implement character education caring for the environment. Character education that cares for the environment is a process of developing a conscious attitude as part of the environment, so that it seeks to prevent and repair damage to nature and strive to preserve the environment for future generations. The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of character education caring for the environment through the Adiwiyata Program for Kalibaru State Vocational High School students in the success of the Banyuwangi Merdeka Program from Plastics. The research method used in this research is qualitative. The subjects in this study were the principal, educators and students. Data collection was carried out by observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis technique which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, then drawing a conclusion. The results showed that character education caring for the environment through the Adiwiyata program was in line with the Banyuwangi Regency government program, namely freedom from plastic and the program was running well. The program of activities includes clean Friday, healthy Friday, taqwa Friday, daily and weekly routine pickets and programs free from plastic waste. In addition, it also limits the sale of food using plastic media, and urges school residents to bring food and drink containers from home. Through this program, students care more about preserving and cleaning the environment. This is evident from the clean and beautiful conditions of the Kalibaru State Vocational School environment.

<p><em>This study aims to describe: (1) gender inequalities experienced by Javanese women in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini; (2) the emancipation of Javanese women in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini; (3) the value of character education contained in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini. The research was conducted in October 2017 until March 2018. This research is a qualitative research using feminism approach. The source of this research data is a novel entitled The Chronicle OF Kartini by Wiwid Prasetyo totaling 415 pages. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are document analysis. Data validation techniques use triangulation theory. Data analysis technique used is interactive analysis model, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that: (1) gender inequalities experienced by Javanese women in the form of maginalization, subordination, stereotype, and violence; (2) the emancipation of women contained in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini in the form of freedom of choice for women, the struggle and resistance of women, and the independence and ferocity of women: (3) in the novel The Chronicle Of Kartini contains 18 types of representation of the value of character education.</em></p>

This research aims to investigate the implementation of politeness in the language of lecturers and students as well as students and students through online lectures at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka on the WhatsApp application. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative with a focus on research, namely the fulfillment and violations of the principles of politeness in the language contained in online lecture conversations on WhatsApp. The data collection technique uses documentation or screenshots, and the data analysis technique uses content analysis methods with inductive procedures. The results indicate that the communication of lecturers to students and students to students based on the WhatsApp social network still pays attention to the principles of linguistic politeness in communication discourse. Based on the WhatsApp social network, students and lecturers can meet the principles of linguistic politeness, including maxim of wisdom, generosity, appreciation, simplicity, compatibility, and sympathy. However, there were also still some violations of the principle of politeness.
