The purpose of this study was to determine the level of community satisfaction with the public services provided by the Integrated Licensing Public Service Agency and Investment (BP2TPM) of Banjarmasin City, besides that it was also intended to find out the differences in community characteristics, such as age and level of education with satisfaction with service public. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a sample of 60 people, while the data analysis uses Chi Square Goodness Of Fit and Chi Square Test Of Independence. The results showed that the bureaucracy services provided by BP2TPM, most respondents 30% argued that they were quite satisfied with the licensing services provided by the agency. In addition there are significant differences between gender and community satisfaction, other results show there is no difference between age and community satisfaction, this means that the performance of the service units at BP2TPM does not discriminate or differ in providing services to the community in terms of age level. As well as there is no difference between the level of education and community satisfaction, this means that the service at BP2TPM does not discriminate in providing services to the community.

The objective of this study was to investigate sheep meat: consumption habits, knowledge of producers and consumers about aspects related to animal welfare and the acceptance of certified products. 417 potential sheep meat consumers were interviewed using questionnaires. The interviewees were selected during the 92 Expo Feira de Pelotas and at strategic points of sale of meat such as: butchers, meat boutiques and supermarkets, located in the city of Pelotas. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics with frequency distribution being compared using the chi-square test, or the Kruskal Wallis test to compare the means. Of those surveyed, 34% claim to consume sheep meat at least once a month and only 6% declared not to consume this product. Regarding the importance of animal welfare practices, 39% consider that this activity is extremely important, also, 90% said they are concerned about how animals are raised and slaughtered and 87.8% consider it important to learn more about the breeding system before consuming the product. Producers and people of rural origin have a greater knowledge of the rules that govern animal welfare compared to consumers and people of urban origin. Among those interviewed, 90.1% stated that they would buy the product with an animal welfare certification seal and 74.2% would pay more to obtain a guarantee that the animals were raised under animal welfare standards. It is evident that there is concern among the public interviewed about the adoption of animal welfare practices, however, the knowledge of the consumer of sheep meat on this subject is still restricted.

There are many factors that influence public participation; one of them is demographic factors. This study established how demographic characteristics of the public influence their participation in development activities in the devolved system of governance in Kenya. The chi square test for independence, from the value at χ(12)=40.9,p =0.000; established that there was significant association between demographic characteristics and public participation activities. It was also establish that demographic factors such as age, gender and level of education influence publicparticipation to a large extent. It was found that; male tend to participate more than female; youth tend to participate more than elderly people; and the educated people tend to make more meaningful and quality contribution. Therefore there is need to have a proper planning so as to optimise the participation of all stakeholder by considering their gender, age and level of education.

Hemoglobin level is a continuous variable. So, it follows some theoretical probability distribution Normal, Log-normal, Gamma and Weibull distribution having two parameters. There is low variation in observed and expected frequency of Normal distribution in bar diagram. Similarly, calculated value of chi-square test (goodness of fit) is observed which is lower in Normal distribution. Furthermore, plot of PDFof Normal distribution covers larger area of histogram than all of other distribution. Hence Normal distribution is the best fit to predict the hemoglobin level in future.

This study examines the influence of the quality of education and skills of prospective Indonesia Labor from West Sumatra on income. Wage income is expected equivalent to the level of wage labor which comes from other countries. Therefore, in order to obtain equal wage, prospective Indonesian labors sent abroad should be a good level of education, skill trained so that labor productivity increased. The method used in this study is Test Crosstab, and, Chi Square test to see the effect between the two variables used. It is shown that Indonesian labors do not able to compete in terms of quality of education and skills, compared to foreign labors, so that the income received by the Indonesian labor is lower. In addition, professional job that has been chosen by the Indonesian labor is the operator, profession which does not necessarily require a high level of educational and skills qualifications.

Background and Aim: The Watish sheep is a strain of desert sheep of smaller size compared to other desert sheep ecotypes, and there is anecdotal evidence that it is endowed with high litter size. The present study was designed for screening for polymorphisms in the known fecundity genes (bone morphogenetic protein receptor type 1B A<G in exon 6, bone morphogenetic protein 15 (BMP15) (FecXB, FecXG, FecXH, and FecXI) in exon2, growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF9) – G1 in exon1 and G8 in exon2 and PRLG<A in intron2) and their association with litter size in Watish. Materials and Methods: The study involved 156 Watish ewes of 2-6 years of age, along with data on litter size in the first, second, and third parity from Sinnar state and contiguous Blue Nile State. Genomic DNA was isolated and genotyped using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism. Allele and genotype frequencies were calculated by direct counting. Chi-square test for goodness of fit was performed for agreement with Hardy-Weinberg expectations and association testing. Results: The results demonstrated that all individuals were non-carriers for the target mutations of FecB, BMP15 (FecXB, FecXH, and FecXI), and GDF9-G8. With regard to the GDF9-G1 gene, the genotypic frequencies were 0.07% (G+) and 0.93% (++), in FecXG gene they were 0.993% (++) and 0.006% (B+), in PRL gene 0.516(++), 0.347(B+), and 0.137(BB). The Chi-square test showed a non-significant association between ewe's type of birth and the detected mutations genotypes. Conclusion: These results preliminarily indicated that GDF9-G1, BMP15 (FecXG), and PRL genes might have had some contribution for improving litter size in Watish Sudanese sheep. However, further studies using larger samples are needed to detect the effects of those mutations on Watish sheep litter size.
