Kebudayaan adalah salah satu komponen yang menunjukkan jati diri kita sebagai sebuah bangsa. Nilai kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam seni budaya seyogyanya mampu mendorong semangat kecintaan pada kehidupan manusia dan bangsa. Kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam seni dan budaya merupakan referensi yang bermanfaat, terutama dalam rangka edukasi generasi muda. Sementara di sisi lain, teknologi sebagai hasil kebudayaan yang bersifat fisik dianggap mereduksi nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam adat istiadat, agama, dan kesenian. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi tantangan bagi budaya lokal adalah perubahan tata nilai-nilai budaya dalam masyarakat serta matinya bentuk-bentuk seni tradisi di Indonesia, khususnya Jawa Barat, yang disebabkan oleh ideologi digital dan acuhnya generasi muda akan pentingnya nilai seni dan budaya lokal. Maka, dipandang perlu menumbuhkan kesadaran bagi generasi muda untuk lebih memahami budaya yang dimilikinya melalui edukasi seni pertunjukkan reak. Merujuk pada fenomena-fenomena di atas, kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Pencarian atau pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka guna mendalami seni Reak sebagai ritual, hiburan, dan memperkokoh integritas kebangsaan berdasarkan semangat Pancasila.Kata Kunci : Nilai, Kebudayaan, Kearifan Lokal, Reak, Pancasila, Disrupsi Culture is one component that shows our identity as a nation. The value of local wisdom contained in cultural arts should be able to encourage a spirit of love for human life and the nation. Local wisdom contained in art and culture is a useful reference, especially in the context of educating the younger generation. While on the other hand, technology as a physical cultural product is considered to reduce the values contained in customs, religion and art. Factors that challenge local culture are changes in cultural values in society and the death of traditional art forms in Indonesia, especially West Java, which is caused by digital ideology and the youth's indifference to the importance of local artistic and cultural values. Thus, it is deemed necessary to raise awareness for the younger generation to better understand their culture through education on reak performing arts. Referring to the above phenomena, this service activity uses a qualitative approach which is analyzed descriptively. Search or data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and literature study in order to explore the art of Reak as a ritual, entertainment, and strengthen national integrity based on the spirit of Pancasila..Keywords: Values, Culture, Local Wisdom, Reak, Pancasila, Disruption

Wayang Palembang is a traditional art of performing arts with artificial media of people made of leather. Wayang Palembang contains universal cultural values because it tells human life. This study describes the existence of Wayang Palembang through manuscript traces (ancient manuscripts).  The research found that the Wayang Palembang was originally introduced by the ruling elites of the ruling Majapahit kingdom in Palembang. During the time of Palembang Sultanate this art modified by absorbing elements of Malay culture. Subsequently, he continued to be preserved during colonial and post independence. Wayang Palembang has unique characteristics that distinguish it from Javanese puppet, which is from the aspect of the introduction language by the Mastermind, the display of its own, or the performance devices, including the duration of the timing. This shows the harmonious acculturation and adaptation between Javanese culture and Palembang Malay culture. The heyday of the Palembang puppet period ended in 1980, with the last Dalang death

Artikel ini disusun dari hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk dapat memahami pertunjukan Davedan Show di Amphi Theatre Nusa Dua Bali. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya ketimpangan antara asumsi dan kenyataan di lapangan. Pada umumnya wisatawan yang datang ke Bali hanya senang dan antusias menonton seni pertunjukan pariwisata berbasis seni budaya lokal saja. Tetapi kenyataan ini berbeda. Walaupun Davedan Show tidak dibangun dari seni budaya lokal saja, tetapi kenyataannya wisatawan sangat senang menonton pertunjukan tersebut. Pertanyaannya: bagaimanakah bentuk pertunjukan Davedan Show tersebut?; mengapa wisatawan senang menonton pertunjukan itu?; apa implikasinya bagi pelaku, masyarakat, dan industri pariwisata di Nusa Dua, Bali?. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, khususnya implementatif partisipatoris yang mengutamakan kerjasama antara periset dengan para informan terkait. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah pertunjukan Davedan itu sendiri, pihak manajemen, para penari, penonton, hasil-hasil penelitian yang telah ada sebelumnya. Seluruh data yang telah dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, FGD, dan studi kepustakaan itu dianalisis secara kritis dengan menggunakan teori estetika postmodern, teori praktik, dan teori relasi kuasa pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Davedan Show disajikan dalam bentuk oratorium. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari cara penyajian, koreografi, dan iringan pertunjukannya. Davedan Show yang menampilkan tema Treasure of The Archipelago, membuka gerbang petualangan baru itu diiringi musik rekaman etnik Nusantara secara medley, berkelanjutan dengan struktur pertunjukan: seni budaya Bali, Sumatra, Sunda, Solo, Kalimantan, dan seni budaya Papua; (2) Davedan Show banyak diminati wisatawan manca negara karena penciptaan pertunjukan itu dilatari oleh ideologi pasar, ideologi estetika, dan ideologi budaya Nusantara; (3) Hingga kini Davedan Show berkembang secara berkelanjutan di Nusa Dua Bali karena berimplikasi positif pada ekonomi para pihak terkait, pengayaan bagi seni pertunjukan daerah setempat, dan identitas bagi kawasan wisata Nusa Dua, Bali.This article was compiled from the research results that aimed to understand the Davedan Show at Amphi Theater Nusa Dua, Bali. This research was conducted due to the imbalance between the assumption and the reality in real life. Generally, tourists visiting Bali are more excited and enthusiastic to watch the tourism performing arts that are based on local traditional art and culture. However, the reality is different. The questions are: how is the form of the Davedan show?; why do the tourists enjoy watching the show ?; what are the implications for the performer, the society, and the tourism industry in Nusa Dua, Bali?. This research applied qualitative research methods, especially the participative implementation that prioritized cooperation between the researchers and the related informants. The data sources of the research were the Davedan show, management, dancers, audiences, and similar research results produced by previous researchers. All data that had been collected by observation, interview, FGD, and literature study were then analyzed with aesthetic postmodern theory, theory of practice, and theory of power relationship. The results showed that: (1) Davedan Show was presented with the concept of a new presentation in the tourism performing arts in Bali. It could be seen from the material, the form, the way of presentation, and the management of the show. Davedan Show, presenting the theme of Treasure of the Archipelago and opening the new adventure gate, was accompanied by ethnic music recordings of the archipelago in a medley then continued with the performance structures of: Balinese, Sumatran, Sundanese, Solo, Borneo and Papuan art and culture; (2) Davedan Show attracted many foreign tourists because the show was based on the existence of market, aesthetic, and cultural ideologies of the archipelago; (3) Currently, Davedan Show has developed in Nusa Dua, Bali sustainably because of its positive implications to the economics aspect of the stakeholders, the enrichment of Balinese performing arts, and the identity of Nusa Dua tourism area of Bali.

AbstrakBangsa Indonesia adalah bangsa sejuta ragam budaya. Salah satunya kesenian Carita Pantun, kesenian ini tumbuhkembang pada masyarakat Sunda di Provinsi Jawa Barat dan Banten. Kini kesenian ini memprihatinkan karena jarang tampil dan pendukungnya kurang. Upaya pelestarian dapat dilakukan dengan mendokumentasikan cerita dan mengkajinya. Pada kesempatan ini penulis akan mengkaji Carita Pantun Sawung Galing. Batasan penelitian melingkupi nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam Carita Pantun Sawung Galing dan apa yang dimaksud dengan Carita Pantun? Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang lengkap tentang Carita Pantun Sawung Galing. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Simpulan, Tokoh Sawung Galing yang bernama Raden Rangga Sawung Galing adalah tokoh heroik Sang Penakluk karena enam kerajaan dapat direbut dan dikuasainya. Selain perkasa kepribadian tokoh menjadi teladan bagi anak bangsa karena memiliki jiwa religius yang tersirat dalan nilai agama, jiwa sosial yang mengagumkan tersirat dalam nilai sosial, semangat kerja tersirat dalam nilai etos kerja. Abstract Indonesia is a nation with the abundance of cultural diversity among traditional arts. One of the traditional arts that highlighted is Carita Pantun. This art is growing and developing in the Sundanese people in the province of West Java and Banten. Carita Pantun is included to a traditional art whose existence is quite alarming because it is very rarely performed and it has few supporters. Conservation efforts should be made of them by documenting the stories are superbly presented and assess the value of culture. Here, the writer examines Carita Pantun Sawung Galing. The limitation of the study is poured in the form of a question that what are the cultural values contained in Carita Pantun Sawung Galing? What is meant by Carita Pantun? The research aims to obtain a complete picture of Carita Pantun Sawung Galing. In conclusion, there are many cultural values of the nation which has not been revealed so that the younger generation does not recognize and know more about the foreign characters. Galing Sawung figure, whose full name is Raden Rangga Sawung Galing, is a conqueror heroic figure since there are six captured and mastered kingdoms.

At present, the view of aesthetics has undergone a shift in line with the aesthetic concepts that have emerged in every era. This aesthetic transformation preserves cultural values in the Millennium Era, following along with the development of performing arts in Indonesia which are also growing. In the production of performing arts there is a need for continuous creativity. Creativity is a very important factor in the life of art, that at least creativity has three benefits: a) enabling humans to provide the strongest response to new situations, b) reacting more strongly to old challenges, c) organizing new situations and giving strong response to it. Creativity allows artists to improve the quality of the presentation of a new and original performance art.This paper is the result of the Research of the Consortium in the field of Art by raising three cultural phenomena that exist in the archipelago, namely Papua, Sunda, and Aceh. The structure of these three territorial territories is a name of virtual reality that is typical of PASUA's Augmented Reality (AR) (Papua-Sunda-Aceh) Performance Arts (PA) 4.0. An augmented reality real time synchronization in the creation of performance art 4.0. which describes the cycle of human life symbolized by the Sun. Beginning with the sun rising in Papua, it then shines on the land of Parahyangan, Sunda and finally sets in Aceh, the Veranda of Mecca.

Abstract This article aimed to explain the results of learning the art of music by using a course book made by teacher on Cultural Arts (Music) subject at MTs Padang Laweh, Sijunjung Regency. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself and assisted with supporting instruments such as stationeries and cameras. The technique of data collecting was done by survey, literature study, observation and interviews. Then, the data were analyzed by looking at the results of observation and the results of interviews that had been conducted during the study. The results of the study indicated that interpersonal communication  applied all learning methods, through the course book of cultural arts learning made by art and culture teacher at MTs Padang Laweh in Sijunjung District succeeded in the learning process through the course book. The learning  process was  designed in such a way as to apply the concept of simple and fun learning process to produce young generation that are intelligent, active and characterized. The implementation of the course book objectives consisted of interpersonal communication which referred to the continuity of education in which all activities involved teacher and students. Interpersonal communication was proven to be effective in helping teacher and students in the learning process because they could understand and each other’s characters. Thus, the educational process could take place well and effectively. The achievements of the MTs Padang Laweh in Sijunjung Regency indicate the success of teaching materials of the course book applied at the school. Keywords: diktat, art and cultural lessons

The art of Local culture will be more meaningful because of being able to push the spirit of love with the pluralism toward human's life and universe. Meanwhile, media technology as the physical result of culture that lacks spiritual values ??if compared to custom, religion and art will lose its function to increase human's life quality. Values, norms and ethics contained in customary rules that are reflected in art of culture are indeed useful references in the globalization era. This research used qualitative data that were then analyzed descriptively. According to Alvin Boskoff's thought, it shows that factors becoming challenges for local culture are the change of cultural value systems in society and the death of traditional art forms in several areas in Nusantara caused by technology in the global era. The art of Local culture is one of components that gives Indonesian identity as a special community that exists among nations in this world. Therefore it is necessary to grow awareness particularly in young generations in order to comprehend more about their culture by empowering local wisdom growing in the cultural areas of whole Nusantara. The purpose of this research is to describe the cultural values which are contained in Taira no Masakado novel. The author used descriptive analysis methods to analyse data. This research used literature study method, observe technique, and noting technique to collect data. Miles and Huberman descriptive analysis model was used to analyse data, which is an interactive analysis model. There are five aspects of cultural value orientation within society that was analysed using theory by Clyde Kluckhohn. Those values are, the aspect of human-life reality cultural value, which consists of the value of piety and religiousness. The aspect of human-nature reality cultural value, which consists of the natural resource usage and unity value. The aspect of interhuman cultural value, which consists of the responsibility, helping other, love, and friendship value. The aspect of human-work cultural value which consists of the patient, perseverance, hard work, and loyalty value. And The aspect of human-time cultural value, consists of the time usage value.

<p><em>Bali has a rich potential for art and culture. The life of Balinese people who are familiar with various types of art performances give the island its own image in the eyes of the world. In Bali art is divided into three groups, namely: (1) wali, (2) bebali, (3) balih-balihan. Many of the performing arts in Bali are seen in religious ceremonies as well as in formal events. The performing arts have a very wide scope. The most popular performing art group and much in demand for the public is Drama Gong. Based on this matter, the problems discussed in this research are: (1) What is the form of staging Drama Gong Wijayakusuma As Traditional Communication Media in Kelurahan Abianbase Gianyar District Gianyar Regency? (2) What is the Function of Staging Drama Gong Wijayakusuma As Traditional Communication Media in Kelurahan Abianbase Gianyar Sub-district of Gianyar Regency? (3) What is the Meaning of Staging Gong Wijayakusuma as Traditional Communication Media in Kelurahan Abianbase Gianyar Sub-district of Gianyar Regency?</em></p><p><em>Digging and dissecting the problem formulation that has been established using two theories are: (1) the theory of symbolic interactionism, (2) structural functional theory. Analyzing each problem used research methods that include: research using qualitative methods. The research location is in Kelurahan Abianbase Gianyar District Gianyar Regency. Types and sources of data used are qualitative data types, while the data source used in the form of primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include: observation techniques, interviews, and literature study. Instrument research in the form of documentation. Determination technique of informant used is purvosive sampling</em></p><p><em>The results of this research are: (1) The form of staging Drama Gong Wijayakusuma includes some supporting elements such as: elements of performing arts Drama Gong, language used, acting figures, gamelan accompaniment, source of play and governance sekaa Drama Gong, Shape and structure of the performing arts of Drama Gong. The drama gong has its own uniqueness which in the performing arts of Drama Gong is built by elements of motion, acting, singing, dancing, and percussion combined harmoniously with Jayaprana plays. (2) Drama Gong functions as a social show which is staged exclusively to entertain the audience. There are 2 functions namely primary function and secondary function. (3) The meaning contained in the staging of Drama Gong is the meaning of religion, the meaning of cultural preservation, the meaning of togetherness, and meaning for the community at large.</em></p>

Abstract This study aimed to describe the learning facilities and infrastructure in the field of arts and culture, describe the students’ achievements of participants studying art and culture, and analyze the influence of learning facilities and infrastructure of art and culture on student learning outcomes at 8th Grade Level of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Pariaman. This type of research was qualitative research using descriptive methods. The object of this study was students of 8th Grade Level of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Pariaman who took part in learning vocal techniques. Techniques of data collection were carried out employing literature study, observation, interviews and documentation studies. Techniques of data analysis were through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding.The results of the study found that the availability of facilities and infrastructure for learning arts and culture in SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman is still incomplete so that in the learning process, especially when practicing with cultural arts equipment, not all students can have practice experience. The allocation of funds from schools for the completeness of cultural arts learning facilities and infrastructure is still low so that the school approves not all planning for the provision of cultural arts learning infrastructure facilities. Student learning outcomes in arts and culture subjects have not reached the expected target because there are still many students who score below the KKM. To overcome the constraints in the limited availability of facilities and infrastructure for learning arts and culture, teachers have sought to improve the active role of students in adding insight by accessing internet media and also adding additional learning hours to anticipate the limitations of practice time due to inadequate cultural arts equipment available. Keywords:     Influence, Facilities, and Infrastructure, Culture and Arts Learning

This article attempted to trace the existence of Dhâmmong tradition in the following scopes, namely: (1) Madurese perception against Dhâmmong , (2) the function and symbolic meaning of Dhâmmong in human life, and (3) the efforts of the Madurese community to preserve the Dhâmmong tradition. Through a descriptive phenomenological analysis, this study revealed that Dhâmmong is a hereditary tradition carried out by the Madurese community, it is urged by the community’s anxiety caused by the long dry season (némor lanjheng). Dhâmmong functionsas a means for salametan, paying respect for the ancestors, strengthening human relations (silaturrahim ), Bhek Rembhek, and nguri berkah (the fertility of the earth). The offerings and mouth-music by imitating the sounds of animals represent a strong desire and wishof the community for the immediate rainfall that could pour out blessings for the community. Hence, the community’s efforts to preserve Dhâmmong are: (1) introducing and involving the younger generation in the ritual, and (2) setting and changing the time sequence of Dhâmmong implementation from night to daytime.
