The purpose of this study is to offer solutions related to the prevention of domestic violence, especially those related to children, through improving the quality of children's relationships with their parents. This research departs from the increasing number of violence occurring in the household realm, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, which causes individuals to remain at home. The research method used is qualitative research supported by a literature review. The study results suggest two activities that parents and children can do to make their relationship closer, particularly within this pandemic situation. The quality of a good relationship between them will minimize the potential for disharmony and even violence. The two activities are; 1) Indoor Outbound, this activity helps both children and parents feel cooperative and trusting each other through the house’s outbound activity. Direct parental involvement in children will help improve this relationship. This involvement is divided into two, namely partial and whole. 2) Parenting Day, an effort that parents can increase to their children. In children who are still not yet adolescents, the effort is to overcome tantrums and in adolescents is to create effective communication between the two. The author concludes that the main key to preventing child abuse is the quality of the child's relationship with his/ her parents.

Early childhood was realized as an asset for the future of the nation, parents and society. The tremendous responsibility that parents must carry out is at the stage of development. In addition, children's happiness is a significant factor in the development of children, both at home and outside the home. Therefore, parents must create a safe, comfortable, harmonious and loving environment in the family to strengthen the emotions between parents and children, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, which requires children and parents to stay at home. This research is qualitative research with research methods carried out using literature (library), both in the form of books, notes, and reports of previous research results, and this study uses library research methods. The study results indicate that during the COVID-19 pandemic in online learning, students can become less active in conveying their aspirations and thoughts, which can result in boring learning. A student who experiences boredom in learning will get progress in learning outcomes. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage students to move students so that they are enthusiastic about learning to have learning achievements.

Abstract: The industry or restaurant business in Tomohon City has a very rapid growth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the benefits of competency assessment for waiters to ensure the quality of their services while working. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis model. The research was conducted at 10 restaurants in Tomohon City. The results showed that as a reflection or image of the restaurant, it was judged by the visiting guests, which was determined by the competence of the waiter who worked, including the expertise of the waiter in serving customers directly. This is very crucial in giving a good impression or image and giving satisfaction to customers because they feel comfortable. This of course cannot be separated from a competency or knowledge of the profession in providing a table during the service. The results also show the need for competent waiters to have qualifications that are truly recognized in their fields which can be developed through trainings whose credibility is tested and recognized by the Professional Certification Board. Professional certification aims to provide recognition of competencies that have been obtained through learning, training, as well as work experience.

Focus group (FG) discussions are a popular qualitative research method used in health care and health service research. More recently, internet-based FGs have grown in popularity due to the growth of: (a) the internet, both in terms of technical capacity and number of users; and (b) the improved quality of communication software (e.g. Skype). This paper highlights some of the strengths and weaknesses of conducting FGs online. Building on our experience of conducting traditional and internet-based FGs, we offer some practical advice to potential users.

An important issue facing sport psychology researchers as well as practitioners is understanding the motives of children involved in youth sport programs. The present study extended previous work in this area by examining parental perceptions of their children’s motivations and perceived competencies in addition to the typically assessed variables of youth-reported motives and perceived competencies. Eighty-one children and one of their parents from a youth soccer league served as subjects for this study. Results indicated that children and parents alike ranked intrinsic motives such as feeling good and having fun as primary reasons for participation. In addition, both parents and children rated external reasons as the lowest priorities for participation. Multivariate analyses of variance indicated that children rated all the motive subscales more positively than their parents. No significant relationships were found between perceived competencies and motives.
