Мета. Мета статті полягає у виявленні ступеня потенціалу впливу прикметників в ад’єктивних структурах атрибутивного і предикативного типів сучасної англійської мови, що функціонують у тексті англомовного політичного коментаря.Методи. Дослідження базоване на загальнонауковій методиці синтезу, аналізу, спостереження, добору та систематизації матеріалу. Частково були застосовані герменевтичний та психоаналітичний підходи.Результати. Газетний політичний коментар створює певні образи, наприклад, образи ключових політичних фігур, а також провокує і закріплює позитивне або негативне ставлення до них. У цьому процесі особлива роль належить неабсолютним імпакторам (як одиничним, так і множинним), які виконують у висловлюванні функцію позначення або опису ключового образу, його професійної компетенції, політичного курсу, осіб, що співвідносяться з ним, його дій, вчинків, висловлювань і т. д. В основі вибору автором лексичних одиниць, які формують висловлювання політичного коментаря, лежить критерій інтенціональності, що ґрунтується на раціональному (інформація сприймається реципієнтом усвідомлено) або ірраціонально-му впливі (інформація сприймається реципієнтом автоматично, неусвідомлено).Висновки. Англійські прикметники та іменники, які досліджені в роботі, мають різну силу впливу, розглядаються як ініціальні біти впливу і формують різні за потенціалом впливу неабсолютні імпактори. Образи, які створюються за допомогою неабсолютних імпакторів, в основному сприймаються на ірраціональному рівні. Формування ставлення читача до учасників політичного процесу, подій у світі політики також відбувається на ірраціональному рівні. Газетний політичний коментар в основному має на меті створен-ня конкретних образів ключових політичних фігур (поряд із здійсненням низки інших функцій) за допомогою відбору та організації лексичних одиниць, що максимально задовольняють цю мету відповідно до політичної платформи окремого медіавидання. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to identify the degree of influence of adjectives in the adjective structures of attributive and predicative types of modern English, which are presented in the text of English-language political commentary.Methods. The research is based on general scientific methods of synthesis, analysis, observation, selection, and systematization of material. Hermeneutic and psychoanalytic approaches were partially applied.Results. Newspaper political commentary creates specific images, such as images of key political figures, and provokes and consolidates a positive or negative attitude towards them. In this process, a unique role belongs to non-absolute impactors (both single and multiple). These perform the function of designating or describing the key image, its professional competence, political course, persons associated with it, its actions, deeds and statements.The author’s choice of lexical units that form the expression of political commentary relies on the criterion of intentionality, which in its turn is based on rational (information is perceived by the recipient consciously) or irrational impact (information is perceived by the recipient automatically, unconsciously). Adjectives in English have different degrees of impact and form different potential non-absolute impactors.Conclusions. English adjectives and nouns, which are studied in the work, have different strength of impact, are considered as initial bits of impact and form different in potential for impact non-absolute impactors. Images created with the help of non-absolute impactors are mostly perceived on an irrational level. The formation of the reader’s attitude to the participants in the political process, events in the world of politics also takes place on an irrational level. Newspaper political commentary mainly aims at creating specific images of key political figures (along with a number of other functions) by selecting and organizing lexical items that best meet this goal according to the political platform of a particular media publication.

Мета. Метою статті є аналіз фактів, які демонструють основні моменти зародження, формування й становлення творчої особистості майбутньої письменниці Галини Журби на прикладі її автобіографічної повісті «Далекий світ».Методи. У роботі використано біографічний метод, порівняльно-історичний, наратологічний, загальнонаукову методику синтезу, аналізу, спостереження, добору та систематизації матеріалу та психоаналіз.Результати. Звернено увагу на психологічний портрет письменниці в ранньому дитинстві. Особливу увагу приділено таким якостям характеру, як наполегливість, впертість, лідерські задатки, схильність до самостійних вчинків та вміння спо-стерігати й помітити те, чим діти зазвичай не цікавляться. Окремий аспект – родина дівчинки та її близьке оточення, історія роду, події та випробування, що випали на долю старшого покоління та вплинули на майбутню письменницю. Розглянуто й проаналізовано домашній уклад та світ дітей, котрі органічно почуваються серед мальовничої української природи. Форму-вання в дітей вільнолюбства свідчить, що в родині поважали дитячу думку та брали до уваги їхні бажання. У статті зазначено захоплення родини театром, мистецтвом, усі вільно спілкувались кількома мовами.Висновки. Проаналізовано різні підходи письменниці до відтворення навколишнього світу крізь призму сприйняття маленької дитини в моменти найбільших збурень емоцій та неповторних вражень. Галина Журба поєднує деталізовану оповідь із нюансу-ванням найтонших вражень дитячої душі. Яскраві образи, що постають перед читачем, схоплені променем внутрішнього бачен-ня дитини, з особливим, довірливим тоном мудрого наратора. Звернено увагу на тонке сприйняття палітри кольорів та звукової мелодики, що підтверджує наявність у дитини творчого начала й пояснює витоки майбутнього тяжіння авторки до імпресіонізму. Помічено, що письменниці прекрасно вдається перейти від власних спогадів і вражень до слова, здатного їх утримати й донести до читача, зберігши колорит того часу й відчуття автентичності. В описі подій поруч з автобіографізмом й документальністю зна-ходимо безпосередність враження й асоціативність мислення, що яскраво висвітлюють сутність самої письменниці.Purpose. The purpose of the article is toanalyze the facts testifying the main aspects of the future writer Halyna Zhurba’s creative personality genesis, establishment and development on the basis of her autobiographical novel “Distant Land”.Methods. The biographical method, comparative-historical method, narrative method general scientific methods of synthesis, analysis, observation, selection and systematization of material, and deep analysis are used in the work.Results. Attention is paid to the writer’s psychological portrait in her early childhood. Special attention is paid to such personality qualities as persistence, stubbornness, leadership, inclination for independent actions and ability to watch and notice things children aren’t usually interested in. A separate aspect is the girl’s family and her close surrounding, family history, events and hardships that the older generation faced and their impact on the future writer. The article describes and analyzes the future writer’s home style and the world of children who feel organic in the picturesque Ukrainian nature and communicate freely with peasants. The development of such children’s qualities as love for freedom proves that the family respected the children’s opinion and took into account their desires. The article reveals the parents’ special attitude to children’s education, their comprehensive development and theatre fascination.Conclusions. Different writer’s approaches to recreate the surrounding world through a prism of little child’s perception at the moments of highest emotional splashes and unique impressions are analyzed. Halyna Zhurba combines a detailed story with the nuances of the child’s soul delicate impressions. Bright images, arising to a reader, are full of the child’s inner vision mixed with the omniscient narrator’s particularly trustful tone. Special attention is drawn to the subtle perception of the colour palette and sound melody that testifies the child’s creative gift and explains the origins of the author’s future attraction to impressionism. It is emphasized that the writer perfectly manages to move from her own memories and impressions to the words that can retain and convey them to a reader, preserve the flavour of the time and sense of authenticity. The sincerity of impression and associative thinking as well as the autobiographical and documentary aspects can be traced in the description of events.

The formation of professional competences of modern economists requires from the educational institution, from the teachers fundamentally new approaches in professional education: the integration of pedagogical, economic and entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and abilities. The aim of the study is to analyze modern approaches to the formulation of the concept of »competence«, to find out the components of professional competence for the preparation of future economists. General scientific methods of research have been applied: induction and deduction, refinement and classification. The modern approaches to the formulation of the concept of »competence« have been analyzed in the article. Historical and terminological analysis of its essence made it possible to find out the components, the structure of professional competence. Special attention has been paid to the content of key and substantive competence. The formation of professional competence of economists must be carried out taking into account the modern requirements in the field of education, educational programs of the specialty. Thus, a highly skilled economist one can become due to a high motivational indicator, confidence in the correct selection of the future kind of activity, the desire to acquire as much information professional material and its transformation into knowledge, which will lead to professionalism in the process of the vocational practice. In the subsequent research, we will substantiate the process of forming the competitiveness of future economists.

Abstract. This article is devoted to the problem of the formation of the competence of the English language reading on upper degree; the general characteristics of competence of reading  in English language on the upper degree are given; the aims of the competence of reading in English language are defined; examples of exercises, characteristics of means and the issue of the assessment of the competence of reading in English language described, the specifics of competency education in English lessons are determined. The article proves that one of the types of communicative activities in foreign language classes is reading. There is considered the general characteristics of foreign language competence of reading, the purpose of its formation in pupils; is given description of exercises and tasks; is described the means of forming the competence of reading at the highest level and control the level of its formation. In this work it is shown on what depends the meaningful aspect of reading and which  two basic levels of understanding of the text are present during the study; the necessary conditions for forming the competence of reading English at the highest level are the relevant principles of learning; the theoretical basis of the methodology of reading on lessons should have general educative laws and principles for the construction of any learning process. Also, in this article it is proved that the ability to read allows pupils, in their further work and training, to use literature in a foreign language to find information on the speciality, to satisfy their readership or creative interests, and to improve the skills of oral speech. For solving the problems were used general scientific methods of theoretical and empirical research which mutually complement each other and provided the possibility of comprehensive knowledge of the subject of research. Methods (analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, comparison and generalization of facts) were used at the stage of theoretical research. Other methods were decisive in developing a set of exercises for teaching English language instruction for senior students.

The article is devoted to the problem of monetary identity, which needs a detailed study in the context of the transformation processes of the modern world. The relevance of the study is that the identity of modern man is becoming unsteady. In seeking guidance for constructing one’s own “Self”, a person finds himself at a crossroads. They lose the identity they had from birth as members of traditional society and are forced to build it independently. The article reveals the preconditions for the emergence of an identity crisis in the context of the development of capitalism and the formation of the economic man. The purpose of the article is to determine the peculiarities of the formation of monetary identity, which has become essentially a by-product of the spread of Western values. To achieve this goal, a structural-functional analysis of social interactions of the subjects of identification has been conducted, as well as general scientific methods of synthesis and generalization of materials, analysis, comparison, deductive and inductive methods, etc. have been used. The main features of monetary identity are that a person begins to be guided by one’s own selfish principles, and money becomes the main value for such a person, appearing as a universal value that is equivalent to all other material values. In the modern world, monetary identity appears as a global and unstable one, it is formed artificially and serves the modern market for profit within the consumer society. It is concluded that in the modern world, money not only serves to improve the objective circumstances of life, but also becomes a means of achieving public recognition. The problem of monetary identity is especially relevant for Ukraine as a country that focuses on the Western type of management with its achievements, values and at the same time problems, and therefore requires further research.

This article examines the development of investment relations in the energy sector, as well as the impact of prosecutor's supervision on improving the investment climate in the studied sector of the economy. The article emphasizes the importance of the activities of the prosecutor's office to improve the investment attractiveness of the industry, as well as to ensure that the participants in the legal relations comply with the current legislation. The basis for such conclusions for the author is the positive experience of prosecutor's supervision in the field of investment activities in the territories of advanced socio-economic development in the Far Eastern Federal District. In the course of the research, the author, in addition to general scientific methods of synthesis and analysis, used such special methods as historical, comparative-legal, formal-legal.

Real-life is closely linked to speech. How and what we communicate often speaks both about ourselves and about the conditions in which we find ourselves. The same applies to the situation around the coronavirus pandemic. One way or another, it influenced the way and the subject we talk about. In this article, we consider the measurement of speech changes under the influence of a pandemic on the example of the political discourse of English-speaking countries. Our goal was to find out how the coronavirus influenced political discourse and what specific examples can be used to demonstrate this. To carry out research, we used general and special scientific methods, in particular, content analysis, linguistic analysis. Among the sources, we have studied are scientific articles on the research topic, as well as materials of publications of the world's leading media on the research topic. As a result of this work, we concluded that the political discourse reflects the situation around the coronavirus in terms of the speaker and the goals he sets for himself. At the same time, for professional politicians, the pandemic has become a platform for a power struggle, so some of them openly manipulate information. One of the interesting areas of research is the means of communication in a crisis, in particular, the use of Internet memes to demonstrate their political position. This, as well as coronaviral neologisms, need further study.

This article discusses the development, current situation and medium-term prospects of the Russian coal industry. The issues of the specifics of the industry, investment risks, as well as the legal regulation of investments at the present time are highlighted separately. Based on the current legislation, statistical data and scientific publications on the topic under consideration, the author comes to a number of conclusions regarding the current state, prospects, legal regulation and the appropriate type of investment in the coal industry. In the course of the research, the author, in addition to general scientific methods of synthesis and analysis, used such special methods as historical, comparative-legal, formal-legal.

The problem of the study is defined by the author as the lack of identification and description of psycholinguistic markers of the social inmutation in the texts of the Ukrainian-language press published in Ukraine in 1917. The purpose of the study was to search and describe the range, structure and functions of psycholinguistic instruments (sound letters) for manipulating the minds of readers as psycholinguistic markers of social inmutation in the Ukrainian-language press of the political crisis of 1917 in Ukraine. The research methodology has become a system of methods that are appropriate, in the opinion of the author, to achieve the goal. Among the selected methods were those that fall into three groups: general scientific methods, theoretical methods and practical methods. For the study, general scientific methods (analysis and synthesis, abstraction method, classification method), theoretical methods (hypothetical-deductive, axiomatic and statistical methods) were chosen. Among the practical research methods, the author chose the following: observation, description method, measurement method and associative experiment method. The author determined the selection of printed Ukrainian-language periodicals by the research methodology; search and description, as well as determining the range of psycholinguistic tools for manipulating an associative experiment aimed at determining the range of free associations of recipients in the perception of stimulus frequency 3-x-5-letter compounds. In the conclusions, the author stated that during the political crisis of 1917 in the Ukrainian-language press in the newspaper publications of the first page of the twelve Ukrainian-language newspapers published in the territory of what was then Ukraine, markers of epistemic social inmutation were actively used, which served as psycholinguistic tools for manipulating the readers’ minds.

Goal – the research is focused on two main goals: 1) study of international experience of inter‑municipal cooperation which is considered together with the widespread trends for consolidation of communities; 2) definition of the ways for inter‑municipal cooperation development in Ukraine on the basis of the best European practices and taking into account the implementation of the territorial organization reform at the present stage. Research methodology – for the realization of the research the methods of synthesis, generalization, comparison, observation as well as other general scientific methods were used. Score/results – various types of inter‑municipal entities created in different countries, their legislative basis, responsibility area, financial resources and other aspects were examined in the context of further implementation of the best foreign models in Ukraine. Originality/value – as a result of the conducted analysis recommendations were elaborated for the more successful development of inter‑municipal cooperation in Ukraine as an efficient way for the solution of local economic problems and sustain‑able development of communities.

Introduction: the higher school educational establishments require new pedagogical staff having a good command of a foreign language.New staff members are to be able toconduct the lessons in their  subject not only in the native language, but also in foreign (English) language.Materials and methods: within the conducted research general scientific methods of knowledge and also special methods of a research were used.Results: psychological and linguo-didactic features of training of adults in a foreign language are defined; educational and methodical materials and manuals on training of adults in professionally focused English are studied, the objectives and tasks are formulated; content of training in the "English for Professional Activity" program is determined, specifications are made to the content  of levels of  language competence  in relation to the contingent of trainees, appraisal and diagnostic tools are developed.Discussion and Conclusions: following the results of the conducted research the training program in English is developed for corporate training. In the program intermediate and ultimate objectives and tasks of training are formulated; the minimum of special lexicon is selected and organized by textual and topic principle; grammatical structures for lecturing in language and for understanding of special professionally focused texts are selected; effective technologies for assimilation of language among adult students are recommended.
