Gender-based injustice and violence can be found around us, but they are often ignored. Meanwhile, gender equality—where men and women have the same appreciation and opportunity they need for self-development in various fields—is a sign of welfare society. Through this community service, the writers along with the students, want to see an increase in gender awareness which become a precondition of welfare society. With a community who are gender literate, there is a hope that gender equality will be able to be realised. Young men and women of the youth organisation in Cawang Village, East Jakarta, are chosen to start this community service. The result showed that almost all participants do not aware of gender-based injustice practices, although they have ever seen or even experienced it around them. Socialisation further is required so that participants not only know, but also understand and able to apply their knowledge in their family and surround environment.

Raden Ajeng (R.A.) Kartini has been known as an Indonesian women’s emancipation fighter. In addition, R.A.Kartini is also known as the pioneer of the Indonesian nationalist movement, hence the state has appointed him a national independence hero (Moedjanto, 1983: IV). R.A.Kartini emancipation struggle is not done in a physical struggle, but done through the struggle of his thoughts or ideas. This paper reveals the emancipation struggle approach model R.A. Kartini from the perspective of the struggle for gender equality today (a literary review). To understand this problem, gender analysis is used as an analytical tool to understand the social realities of gender-differentiated relations between men and women. The concept of emancipation is not much different from the concept of struggle of gender equality known today, these two concepts aims to fight for the rights of women with men to be equal and equal in accordance with the context of the ability of each individual. Gender itself is a concept that refers to men and women who are distinguished not biologically or naturally but are distinguished on the basis of social and cultural constructs. Thus, both men’s and women’s societies can create, socialize, reinforce gender-based differences, so long as gender differences do not create injustice between men and women no matter the need to be sued, but the issue is when gender differences are constructed social and cultural causes of gender injustice that harm both men, especially for women (Fakih, 1999: 12). In connection With this there are several issues that need to be studied, among others: 1. How to model the approach to emancipation struggle R.A.Kartini in advancing the education of women? 2. How is the approach model of R.A.Kartini emancipation struggle fostering equality in family and marriage? 3. How does the emancipation struggle approach model of R.A.Kartini foster equality in improving the welfare of the people? All these issues will be examined from the perspective of today’s gender equality struggle.

Gender equality has weakened, technology has to be bounced back to give the same role and the work portion between men and women both in the domestic and public area. Limitations of a woman than men are no longer become an obstacle; a woman inside the exoskeletons could be 1,000 times more powerful than a man. for this reason, the need for the promotion of gender based technology by perform budget formulation, so all levels of society (male and female) receive benefits and have equal access to the budget for being able to apply the technology. Gender responsive budget formulation based on this technology has a view and a common understanding of the meaning, benefits and importance of gender equality and justice. Considering that continuity is very important in the achievement of gender equality, the gender analysis in a variety of technology-based policies and programs need to be continued and enhanced. Various obstacles encountered in the implementation is the commitment of policy makers both within the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government, lack of gender analysis expert due to lack of funds allocation for capacity building, and the lack of data disaggregated by sex, need attention thoroughly in order to implement the strategy may run effective and sustainable in the future.

Linnea Ytting: Why waste time on female sport leadership? About gender construction, gender equality in the voluntary sport organizationsThe sports organisations Danmarks Idræts- Forbund (DIF) and Danske Gymnastik- og Idrætsforeninger (DGI) have few women represented in their top leader positions. Both organisations have approximately 50% female membership and represent the entire Danish organised sport field. This is a sad fact, because women and men in many areas have different interests in sports. This article analyses some of the gender constructions of 6 young men and women in voluntary leadership, within chosen sports organisations. The purpose is to find the meaning of gender and describe how it is interpreted by the women and men in leading positions. The result of this research shows that many women are not interested in leading positions higher than club level. At the same time however, the structure of organisations are limiting, as to women wanting to achieve a higher voluntary leading position. Therefore it can be established that women must want the power, but the power must also want the women. In 2002 the political mainstreaming project was offered to sports organisations, introducing the gender problem on the political agenda. The political dimensions will therefore be included in the article, because the consequences may affect the sports organisations

The purpose of the study is to identify the problems in the implementation of the principle of gender equality in Ukraine and European states. This goal was achieved through the application of a system of methods, including comparative method, formal law method and statistical method. The study has identified that the principle of gender equality prohibits discriminatory treatment on the basis of gender in different spheres of social relations. However, there is no single approach to understanding the concept of gender equality, which is described as: equality between the rights of men and women; fair treatment of men and women; equal access to resources and their fair distribution between men and women. It is substantiated that the principle of gender equality is a sub-principle of the principle of equality and means guaranteeing equal rights and opportunities regardless of gender. The principle of gender equality is examined in international law, including the provisions of the Council of Europe's Gender Equality Strategy for 2018-2023 and their implementation in Ukraine. The European Court of Human Rights' (ECtHR) practice of interpreting the content of the principle of gender equality and its scope is analyzed. The ECtHR has established that gender-based violence is the form of discrimination against women. The Court of Justice of the European Union has established the elimination of discrimination on grounds of sex as a general principle of EU law which should be guaranteed by a court. Family policy models in different states have been studied through the prism of gender equality, in particular: the pronatalist model (formed in France); the traditional model (historically originated in Germany); a pro-egalitarian model (Sweden is a typical representative); family model (mainly applied in the UK, the US and Canada). It is justified that nowadays, mixed models of family policy prevail, which combine traditional models in different proportions. In Ukraine, there is a similarly mixed model of family policy model that can be characterised as more pro-natalist model. The study concludes that real gender equality can be achieved in the case of an effective gender-based public policy, which should: stimulate gender expertise; introduce quotas for representation of women in all areas of employment, except those that may harm their health; ensure that gender components are taken into account in all economic and social development programs; introduce a gender component through the educational process in the secondary, vocational and higher education system; ensure gender mainstreaming in teacher training programs and public officials; promote the elimination of gender stereotypes and counteract discrimination; contribute to reducing the remuneration gap; to promote the activities of public associations in the field of gender equality and combating domestic violence, etc.

This study discusses gender bias in terms of language especially from Indonesian into English translation by using Google Translate. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The result shows that most likely every language has gender-biased sides, including English because the type of society in the reality of life is more represented by men and women. In Google translate, the unequal differences between men and women translated into google translate causes the system to be considered biased and sexist towards gender. Whereas in fact, nowadays all genders can have various activities and jobs. Indonesian is also a gender-neutral language. When google translates to change into English, the sentence becomes gendered. The Indonesian language in this case seems to have been saved from being sexist because it does not associate a particular profession or activity with any gender. Unlike English, which adjusts personal pronouns based on gender. Google Translate is not always accurate, especially when translating from English to other languages. That is where Google Translate tends to go astray. The problem is that many languages have gender-based words, whereas English does not. But some words, like profession or occupation, can be masculine or feminine depending on the subject of the sentence, by assigning gender to certain adjectives and words that describe them. Equality in gender and race has been very difficult to achieve in machine technology situations because these systems are trained on existing content, and are not demographically representative. Google decided to make changes. It is important to adapt and build technology that can better serve humans. What may seem like small changes to everyday life are big steps towards gender equality. The way people speak their respective languages is one of the strongest ways of gender discrimination.
