In this study, we evaluated affective components of the learning processes of students after being exposed to a virtual geology field trip of the Baengnyeong Island, South Korea. Changes in students’ cognition of and interest in science and scientific attitude were measured before and after exposure to the virtual field trip. We exposed 106 middle school students to the program and our results revealed that this program had a positive impact on their scientific attitude (p value = 0.014) but no significant changes were observed in the students’ cognition of and interest in science (p value = 0.166). The significant finding from this study was that the VFT program can bring positive scientific attitude as a component of affective learning process. The affective learning process influences the cognitive learning processes and eventually the academic achievement of the students can be improved. In the students’ satisfaction survey, the highest satisfaction level was in the convenience of the program. As access to Baengnyeong island is limited, though the island is an ideal location for studying geological phenomena, the VFT can be a useful tool for instilling a positive scientific attitude in students via indirect field experience. It can be a good alternative to bridge the education gap between students with special needs who are less mobile and other students.

The needs of nurses who have the category of "good citizen" is the main concern that can not be ignored by management because it will have a positive impact on the organization.The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of workload, job satisfaction and organizational commitment to Organizational Citizenship Behavior nurses. The research involved 104 implementer nurses. Data excavation techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed by regression analysis, t test, F test and coefficient of determination.The result of the research at the 5% significance level shows that: Workload has positive effect not significant to OCB nurse (regression coefficient: 0.116, p value: 0.245). The variables that give positive and significant influence to the nurse OCB are job satisfaction (regression coefficient: 0,226 and p value: 0,022) and organizational commitment (regression coefficient: 0,253 and p value: 0,012). Workload, job satisfaction and organizational commitment simultaneously give positive and significant influence to OCB nurse (F arithmetic: 4.836) with sig value: 0,003). Organizational commitment was the most dominant variable significantly influence the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses in the context of nurses in Batara Guru regional hospital, Luwu regency. This manuscript aims to present possibilities for developing mobile and smart platforms and systems in teaching and learning the English language for engineering professionals in different engineering study programs. Foreign language teaching and learning processes are based on traditional methods, while in engineering and technical sciences, teaching and learning processes include different digital platforms. Therefore, the following hypotheses were stated. (H1) It is possible to develop a software solution for mobile platforms that can have a higher level of interactivity, and it may lead to better learning outcomes, especially in the field of adopting engineering vocabulary. (H2) Implementation of the developed solution increases motivation for learning and leads to a higher level of satisfaction with the learning process as a part of the quality of life. (H3) Students who have digital and mobile platforms in the learning process could have higher achievement values. This manuscript presents software application development and its implementation in teaching English as a foreign language for engineering and technical study programs on the bachelor level. Initial results in implementation and satisfaction of end users point to the justification of implementing such solutions.

This article discusses the psychological and pedagogical features of the formation of leadership qualities in future teachers-psychologists. Requirements for leadership qualities are provided by a combination of personality qualities, which allows future professionals to effectively carry out professional activities. In modern conditions, the future specialist must possess not only professional knowledge, skills, but also a certain set of leadership qualities that allow him to successfully realize his creative potential in practical activities. The psychological and pedagogical features of the formation of leadership qualities in future pedagogues-psychologists are determined by the development of reflection abilities, a positive impact on people, an active and responsible attitude to society. The psychological features of the development of leadership qualities of students in the process of studying at a university, as future pedagogues-psychologists, are features of socialization and adaptation of a person, the development of self-awareness, the specifics of professional activity, the interaction of students and teachers, as well as intra-group interaction of students. Limited studies have empirically shown that the inbound tourism of South Korea (hereafter Korea) is positively influenced by Hallyu, a Korean popular culture. Conceptually, some studies have suggested that in recent years, the popularity of Korean popular music is greater than Korean dramas, which spread Hallyu beyond the boundary of Korea since the late 1990s. This research note is the first attempt to analyse the effects of the two main aspects of Hallyu: broadcast, inclusive of Korean dramas and variety shows, and Korean popular music, on Korea’s inbound tourism. The findings suggest that broadcast has a stronger positive impact than Korean popular music on Korea’s inbound tourism because broadcast improves the destination image by featuring locations.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to contextually theorise the different patterns of emerging multinational companies’ (EMNCs’) learning processes for innovation and the different influences of their technology-driven FDIs (TFDIs) on the processes. Design/methodology/approach A comparative case study method and process tracing technique are employed to investigate how and why firms’ learning processes for innovation took place, how and why the TFDIs emerged and influenced the firms’ learning processes in different ways. Findings The paper identifies two different patterns of learning process for innovation (Glider model vs Helicopter model) and two different roles of the case firms’ TFDIs (accelerator vs starter) in the different contexts of their learning processes. It is found that the capability building of the domestic wind energy industry has an important influence on the case of EMNCs’ learning processes and thus on the roles of their TFDIs. Research limitations/implications The limitation of the paper lies in its small number of cases in a specific industry of a specific country. The two contextually identified learning models and roles of TFDIs may not be applied to other industries or other countries. Future research should investigate more cases in broader sectoral and geographic scope to test the models and also to identify new models. Practical implications For EMNCs, who wants to use the Helicopter model to rapidly gain production and innovation capability, cross-cultural management and integration management are crucial to practitioners. For emerging countries with ambitions to explore the global knowledge and technology pool, besides of the EMNC’s capability building, the capability building in the domestic industries should not be overlooked by policy makers. Originality/value The paper develops a dynamic and contextual analytical framework which helps to answer the important questions about how and under what context a TFDI emerges and influences firm’s learning process for innovation. It theorises the EMNCs’ learning process and TFDIs in the context of the development of the domestic industry. It strengthens the explanatory power of the learning-based view and adds new knowledge to the current FSA/CSA discourse in the international business literature.

The occurrence of anemia in adolescents due to lack of nutrients transport and oxygen throughout body to be inhibited, in the brain this causes a decrease in the level of concentration. This decrease in concentration level is more severe if anemic sufferers have low emotional intelligence because it is increasingly difficult for adolescents to carry out a concentration of mind. The purpose of this study is to influence the incidence of anemia and emotional quotient on the level of student learning concentration of Pule 1 Senior High School Trenggalek Regency. The design of this research is correlational analytic with cross sectional approach. Data collected by questionnaire an dobservastion sheet, data analysis by ordinal regression test at α = 0.05. The results showed that there was an influence of anemia against concentration level in SMAN 1 Pule in Trenggalek Regency (p-value = 0,000), there was an emotional quotient effect against concentration level in SMAN 1 Pule in Trenggalek Regency (p-value = 0.011) and together there is an influence of the incidence of anemia and emotional quotient against concentration level in Pule 1 Senior High School, Trenggalek Regency (p-value = 0,000). Adolescents who experienced anemia will experience a decrease in the body's metabolism because one component of metabolism that is oxygen cannot be supplied smoothly so that the body's energy decreases, especially in the brain will have an impact on decreased concentration in the learning process. Relation to emotional intelligence, through good emotional intelligence, a student can manage his time well so that he is able to place the utilization of the time he has for his main task of learning. Through emotion management, EQ plays a role in supporting self-control and time management so that students who have high EQ will not be easily affected by environmental disturbances so that they can carry out the learning process with good concentration


Indonesian internet users reached 143,26 Million in 2017, most of them used internet for accessing messaging and social media application. We argue that usage of messaging and social media can give positive impact to the learning process. Our research method using questionnaire to collect data, research conduct in Private University in Jakarta, and student as our research unit analysis. The second year’s research shows that optimization of social media application and messenger services to improve student performance can be done by knowing the most common social media application and messenger services that used by student, socialize the process to increase number of participation, utilization of features of the application, continuous improvement, and communication about method’s success story that can attracts lecturer and students to apply and keep improve the more effective method and learning process. This research result can be use by the lecturer or educator to improve education through social media application and messenger.

We aimed to describe the negative and positive impacts of changes in cancer care delivery due to COVID-19 pandemic for adolescents and young adults (AYAs) in Canada, as well as the correlates of negative impact and their perspectives on optimization of cancer care. We conducted an online, self-administered survey of AYAs with cancer living in Canada between January and February 2021. Multiple logistic regression was used to identify factors associated with a negative impact on cancer care. Of the 805 participants, 173 (21.5%) experienced a negative impact on their cancer care including delays in diagnostic tests (11.9%), cancer treatment (11.4%), and appointments (11.1%). A prior diagnosis of mental or chronic physical health condition, an annual income of <20,000 CAD, ongoing cancer treatment, and province of residence were independently associated with a negative cancer care impact (p-value < 0.05). The majority (n = 767, 95.2%) stated a positive impact of the changes to cancer care delivery, including the implementation of virtual healthcare visits (n = 601, 74.6%). Pandemic-related changes in cancer care delivery have unfavorably and favorably influenced AYAs with cancer. Interventions to support AYAs who are more vulnerable to the adverse effects of the pandemic, and the thoughtful integration of virtual care into cancer care delivery models is essential.

Abstract:. The problem that often arise in the study is the lack of understanding of the hidden curriculum so the teacher does not know the positive impact of the hidden curriculum activity itself, despite the fact that the hidden curriculum activities are often carried out in the learning process. This study was aimed to describe the hidden curriculum implementation strategy on educational subjects of Al-Islam in SD Muhammadiyah I Yogyakarta Wirobrajan academic year 2017/2018. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative and the  data collection technique used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the hidden curriculum on the educational subjects of Al-Islam had positive habit to students during the learning process by using expository  and inquiry strategy for the achievement of school goals along with the vision and mission of the school established to form Islamic generation, knowledgeable, noble, and cultured.Keywords: Hidden Curriculum, Al-Islam Education Abstrak: Permasalahan yang sering muncul di dalam pembelajaran adalah kurangnya pemahaman guru mengenai hidden curriculum sehingga guru tidak mengetahui dampak positif dari kegiatan hidden curriculum itu sendiri, meskipun pada kenyataannya kegiatan hidden curriculum sering dilaksanakan tanpa disengaja di dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pelaksanaan hidden curriculum pada mata pelajaran pendidikan Al-Islam di SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan I Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif melalui teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan hidden curriculum pada mata pelajaran pendidikan Al-Islam sudah baik memberikan pembiasaan yang positif kepada siswa pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung dengan menggunakan srategi ekspositori dan inquiry demi tercapainya tujuan sekolah serta visi misi sekolah yang sudah ditetapkan yaitu terbentuknya  generasi islami, berilmu, berakhlak mulia, dan berbudaya.Kata Kunci: Hidden Curriculum, Pendidikan Al-Islam

This article aim to analyze Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on education and its relevance to modern world education. This research uses qualitative approach (Library Research) by analyzing the sources collected and summarized in the article. Result this research shows that education is not only a teaching and learning process that is limited by time and space, but education is a process where students are able to live, absorb and even capture natural events throughout the ages. Ibn Khaldun's thoughts are also very relevant to modern education when viewed from various aspects, namely educators, learning methods, curriculum and educational goals. Positive impact What is expected from the results of this study is the adoption of the concept of Modern Education with the Concept of Education according to Ibn Khaldun.
