Probiotic complex Anzymesporin when rearing and fattening of young pigs

Feed additives and means of probiotic and prebiotic action, enzyme drugs, therapeutic and prophylactic additives of complex action aimed at stimulating non-specific immunity, prevention and treatment of mixed gastrointestinal infections and digestive disorders are an alternative to antibiotics. Domestic scientists have developed a new feed probiotic, Enzymsporin, which contains a complex of lyophilized spore-forming bacteria Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis in a concentration of 5×10 9 CFU/g, which causes a wide range of product action against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms. The purpose of the work was to study a new probiotic complex with antibacterial and immunomodulatory properties as an alternative to the use of antibiotic-containing drugs in feeding of growing and fattening young pigs. The effectiveness and feasibility of using the probiotic complex Enzymsporin in the diets of growing and fattening young pigs in a comparative aspect with the antibiotic-containing drug Virginiamycin has been studied. It has been proved on the base of zootechnical, physiological, biochemical and economic research methods that the optimal dosage for the introduction of the probiotic complex Enzymsporin into compound feed for growing young pigs is 0,5 kg/t. We recommend pig breeding farms to input in the diet of growing and fattening young pigs probiotic complex Enzymsporin in the amount of 0,5 kg/t, which helps to stimulate metabolism and leads to better use of feed, increases the livability of livestock and economically justified. The use of probiotic complex has a pronounced biological effect in the growth and livability of piglets during rearing, contributes to increasing the profitability of pig production.

Mycotoxins have been formed in feed are secondary metabolites of fungi and are quite stable substances that have teratogenic, mutagenic and carcinogenic effects. An effective way to combat mycotoxins in feed is the use of feed additives that adsorb toxins, prevent their absorption in the gastrointestinal tract of the animal and are excreted from the body. The infl uence of coconut enterosorbent Shelltic Es on fattening and meat qualities of young pigs has been studied. It has been found in the process of fattening that the highest feed digestibility was in pigs of the experimental group, in the diet of which enterosorbent has been added. The results of studies of the chemical composition and technological properties of pork have been provided. The positive eff ect of enterosorbent on precocity, absolute average daily gain of live weight and reduction of feed expenditures per 1 kg of gain has been revealed. In pigs from the experimental group the average thickness of the fat was higher and the area of the “muscle eye” was lower compared with animals of the control group, which indicates that higher rates of carcass yield have been obtained due to faster accumulation of fat tissue. The weight of internal organs of pigs indicates the intensity of metabolic processes in the body. In experimental animals the weight of the lungs was 0,1 kg lower, and the liver and heart were higher by 0,13 and 0,01 kg, respectively. Enterosorbent had no effect on the content of vitamins in the liver of pigs of the compared groups. The content of impurities of organochlorine toxicants and toxic elements in the meat and liver of animals of the experimental group was lower than that of control analogues. Therefore, the use of enterosorbent Shelltic Es promotes more active excretion of them from the body.

One of the main problems in the poultry industry is the search for a viable replacement for antibiotic growth promoters. This issue requires a “one health” approach because the uncontrolled use of antibiotics in poultry can lead to the development of antimicrobial resistance, which is a concern not only in animals, but for humans as well. One of the promising ways to overcome this challenge is found in probiotics due to their wide range of features and mechanisms of action for health promotion. Moreover, spore-forming probiotics are suitable for use in the poultry industry because of their unique ability, encapsulation, granting them protection from the harshest conditions and resulting in improved availability for hosts’ organisms. This review summarizes the information on gastrointestinal tract microbiota of poultry and their interaction with commensal and probiotic spore-forming bacteria. One of the most important topics of this review is the absence of uniformity in spore-forming probiotic trials in poultry. In our opinion, this problem can be solved by the creation of standards and checklists for these kinds of trials such as those used for pre-clinical and clinical trials in human medicine. Last but not least, this review covers problems and challenges related to spore-forming probiotic manufacturing.

Abstract The response to probiotics and enzymes is often documented in research facilities with a high degree of control and via pigs with no insults to health or feed intake. However, in commercial conditions, the response to feed additives promoting advanced gut health and improved digestion must be consistent and defined over a wide range of health statuses, stocking densities, feed intakes, environments, and diet formulations. The objective of this experiment was to determine if a combined feed protease and probiotic system (Syncra® SWI 201, DuPont, Wilmington, DE) would improve growth performance and mortality under commercial conditions. A total of 127,092 pigs (6.0 ± 0.1 kg; PIC 337 sired, Hendersonville, TN) from a sow farm producing porcine reproductive and respiratory virus and rotavirus positive weaned pigs were placed in 53 2,400-head commercial wean-to-finish barns that were alternated to 1 of 2 treatments (a control treatment without Syncra® SWI (SSWI) or with SSWI included at 72.6 g/ton of finished feed from 22.7 kg of BW to harvest) in a rolling allotment over a 12-month period. Pigs were on the experiment for an average of 162 ± 1.0 days (until harvest). Throughout the 12-month experimental period, diets (outside of the SSWI inclusion) could change in order to maximize return over feed costs. Data were analyzed using Proc MIXED (SAS 9.4; Cary, NC) with treatment as the main effect and barn as the experimental unit. Compared to the control, adding SSWI improved mortality by 1.9% and percent grade 1 marketed pigs by 2.2% (P ≤ 0.025). Compared to the control, SSWI did not improve ADG (control = 0.75 vs. SSWI = 0.78 kg) or gain:feed (control = 0.401 vs. SSWI = 0.396). In conclusion, the inclusion of the SSWI combined feed protease and probiotic system can improve mortality and grade 1 marketed pigs, but not growth performance under commercial conditions.

Increasing the production of pork meat requires careful work not only in terms of breeding, but also in the organization of complete feeding of animals, the correct selection of feed and feed additives containing the necessary nutrients. The purpose of the work was to analyze the use of premix in feeding young pigs on fattening. Two groups of fattening young pigs (Large White×Landrace) have been selected for the researches using the method of analogous groups, taking into account the breed, age, and live weight per 20 heads in each group with a live weight of 35 kg. Pigs of the control group have received the main economic diet, and animals of the experimental group have received an additional premix Khutorok at the rate of 10 g of premix per 1 kg of feed. The results have shown that the best age to reach 100 kg was in the experimental group of pigs – 215,8 days, which received premix with feed that characterizes their higher precocity by 36,3 days (P < 0,001) than in the control group of animals. The use of this premix had a positive impact on the livability of young animals, in the experimental group it was by 9,3 abs.% more than in the control group of animals. Thus, the best fattening traits have been possessed by young pigl of the experimental group have been received the premix Khutorok in their diet at the rate of 10 g of premix per 1 kg of feed. The obtained data indicate the feasibility of using the premix Khutorok in the feeding pigs for fattening.

Unbalanced regional development is an inevitable trend in the development of all countries in the world. The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology has created tools for the study of regional development issues. IoT has many advantages and thus owns a very wide range of applications. This paper makes use of geographic information system (GIS) technology, which can be viewed as one of the IoT sensing information. Changes in spatial regional economic differences and space and the evolution of the structure are particularly examined by processing spatial information such as maps, analyzing phenomena and events that exist on the earth, and exploiting Kriging and inverse distance weighting (IDW). The numerical results in this paper justify that the introduction of GIS technology to the study of economic diversity can upgrade regional economic research from a traditional qualitative and statistical level to a quantitative and spatial visualization level.

The article presents research data on the chemical composition and content of toxic elements in the meat of fish grown in the pools of «ASYL TAS ENGINEERING» LLP, Almaty region, when using «Risostim» feed additive. Researches with comparison of the samples taken from fish - catfish at use of a food additive «Risostim» and a carp in a comparative aspect were carried out. In the course of the study it was found that the fat and moisture content of catfish meat was higher, while the protein and ash content was lower. It was also found that the amount of toxic elements did not exceed the maximum allowable level. It follows from this that catfish meat grown in pools of «ASYL TAS ENGINEERING» LLP of Almaty region, when using feed additives «Risostim» is a benign and safe food product.

Interferon-gamma (IFN gamma), as produced by recombinant DNA technology, has shown a wide range of immunomodulatory activity in vitro and in vivo. Clinical studies have attempted to establish a dose-response relationship to define optimal dosage ranges for induction of effector cell function and host response in patients with cancer. We conducted a randomized trial to test the in vivo biologic activity of five daily dosages ranging from 3 to 3,000 micrograms/m2, administered by daily 2-hour bolus injection or by continuous infusion for 14 days. We demonstrate comparable immunobiologic effects of recombinant IFN gamma (rIFN gamma; Biogen, Inc, Cambridge, MA) administered by these two schedules at the various dosages tested, and have defined a relationship of dose to biologic response over this 3-log10 dose range. Oligo 2'5' adenylate synthetase (2'5'As) induction, natural-killer (NK) cell activity, and T-cell subset distribution (heightened T helper/suppressor ratio) showed the most consistent treatment-associated changes and the greatest immunobiologic effects at dosages of 300 to 1,000 micrograms/m2. Mononuclear cell DR and DQ antigen expression showed no consistent dose-related treatment effect. The relevance of the phenotypic, functional, and enzymologic effects observed in this trial to any clinical antitumor effects of IFN gamma in cancer therapy must now be established.

AbstractData from experimental programmes designed to investigate the effect of chemical structure of fats upon their apparent digestible energy (DE) value for pigs were subjected to regression analysis. For growing pigs, over the approximate live-weight range 30 to 90 kg, 25 data points were available, with fats evaluated having a range in the ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids (U/S) from 0·66 to 15·67 and in free fatty acid (FFA) content from 8 to 818 g/kg. Sixteen data points were available for young pigs of approximately 12 kg live weight with a range in U/S from 0·62 to 5·71 and in FFA content from 54 to 756 g/kg. The wide range of values for U/S and FFA content had been obtained by blending different fats and, therefore, represented both the range and extremes likely to be found in the formulation of pig diets. Derivation of prediction equations for DE were based upon a series of non-linear regression analyses employing, in sequence, U/S, U/S + FFA content and U/S × FFA content. The DE offats could be predicted from U/S and FFA content with equations accounting for 0·802 and 0·768 of the variation in DE values for growing and young pigs respectively. The most appropriate equation for pigs of all live weights employed U/S and FFA content additively (U/S + FFA content). The equation for growing pigs was DE (MJ/kg) = 36·898 – (0·0046FFA (g/kg)) — 7·33e(–0·906U/S) and for young pigs was DE (MJ/kg) = 37·890 — (0·0051FFA (g/kg)) –8·20e(–0·515U/S). Comparisons revealed that differences between the two age groups, with lower values achieved with younger pigs, -were more pronounced the lower U/S and the higher FFA content of the fat.

AbstractA wide range of plant secondary metabolites (PSM) have been shown to have the potential to modulate the fermentation process in the rumen. The use of plants and plant extracts as natural feed additives has become an interesting topic not only among nutritionists but also other scientists. Although a large number of phytochemicals (e.g. saponins, tannins and essential oils) have recently been investigated for their methane (CH4) reduction potential, there have not yet been major breakthroughs that could be applied in practice. However, the effectiveness of these PSM depends on the source, type and the level of their presence in plant products. The aim of the present review was to assess ruminal CH4 emission through a comparison of integrating related studies from published papers, which described various levels of different PSM sources being added to ruminant feed. Apart from CH4, other related rumen fermentation parameters were also included in this review.

The article presents the data of production testing on young pigs on fattening when fed as part of a feed mixture of the best dosage of a serum-mineral-vitamin supplement in the amount of 30 g per day per head. The daily increase during the study period was 531 g in the control group and 548 g in the experimental group, or 3.2% more. The exchange energy costs per 1 kg of gain were 10.4% lower in the experimental group compared to the control group animals. The level of profitability of pork production was 1.6% higher in the experimental group.
