El trabajo preventivo de la familia desde su labor educativa con los hijos es uno de los grandes retos a los que se enfrenta la institución educativa, la que requiere de vías, métodos y alternativas que sean efectivas para lograr alcanzar un desarrollo integral de los niños y adolescentes. De ahí que la preparación recíproca de ambas instituciones sea una prioridad en la educación cubana. En el presente artículo se exponen algunos fundamentos teóricos que sustentan los principios formativos de nuestro sistema educativo como eje esencial desde la propia actividad del educador, el que debe contemplar la atención a la familia desde la diversidad y el contexto en que se desarrollan estos niños y adolescentes. PREVENTIVE WORK OF THE FAMILY IN INTERACTION WITH THE INSTITUTION ABSTRACT The preventive work of the family from its educational work with the children is one from the big challenges to those that faces the educational institution, the one that requires of roads, methods and alternative that are effective to be able to reach an integral development of the children and adolescents. With the result that the reciprocal preparation of both institutions is a priority in the Cuban education. Presently article some theoretical foundations are exposed that sustain the formative principles of our educational system as essential axis from the educator's own activity, the one that should contemplate the attention to the family from the diversity and the context in that these children and adolescents are developed. The article deals with the concept of pedagogical culture of parents, the goals of development of pedagogical culture of parents and methods of formation and improvement of the level of pedagogical culture of parents. The paper focuses on the tasks of interaction between an educational institution and the family in the upbringing of children. Methods of study. To study the possibility of forming a pedagogical culture of parents, we used a questionnaire to survey the needs of parents to interact with the educational institution and the interest of teachers in working with the family, the «Ideas about the ideal parent» method by R. V. Ovcharova, Y.A. Degtyareva, «Family Biofield» inquirer by V. V. Boyko and «Determination of parenting skills» questionnaire by O.L. Zvereva. Results of the study. The article shows the results of the impact of the program, which includes a seminar using the case technology «pedagogical culture of parents» and parent training based on the program «education based on common sense» on the formation of the pedagogical culture of parents. Conclusion. The results of the study proved the possibility of purposeful formation of the pedagogical culture of parents in the educational system of the school and the high efficiency of practice – and personality-oriented methods of such work, and also showed greater competence and awareness among parents and kindergarten teachers in the education of children.

Background: The Family and School Interaction (FSI) is undoubtedly very effective in promoting the education of children in a society, but this interaction requires the adoption of educational goals as well as frameworks that can produce the best educational outcomes. The educational goals and frameworks, on the one hand, depend on the theoretical foundations and our view of the educational role and position of the family and its relation to that of the school, and on the other hand the environmental conditions and opportunities or challenges for the FSI. Aim: The overall purpose of the present study is to explore the areas and ways of reforming and complementing the FSI. Methods: The study is a qualitative research relying on analyzing the views of Iranian family and education experts. The areas under consideration for reforming and complementing the FSI are the school curricula, and the study examines the role of the family in the most important elements of a curriculum, namely objectives, content, method and evaluation. Results: The results show that most scholars, professionals, principals, and teachers consider the educational role of the family and its contribution to school education, but their beliefs about this role and its status in relation to that of the school are still unclear. They have often become accustomed to giving the less importance to the family and the most important to the school, and the curricula are often formulated without considering the views and expectations of the family and without parental involvement. Conclusion: The consideration of the real role of the family and its lasting effects have important implications, including reforming the family education programs, reforming the academic education and in-service teacher trainings, modifying the FSI models, rationalizing the family interventions in school affairs, as well as enhancing the students’ self-esteem and their sense of belonging to school.

The article is devoted to the issues of monitoring the effectiveness of patriotic education of student youth in the context of the activity of a general educational institution. It is determined that monitoring is an evaluation activity aimed at determining the effectiveness of educational influences, studying the characteristics of the group in order to assess the level of education, and optimization of educational and upbringing processes. It is shown that the scientific principles of the organization of patriotic education of student youth require taking into account the level of their patriotic upbringing. It is proved that the main purpose of determining the effectiveness of pedagogical processes is to study the personalities of students, which allows to control the course and pace of their mental development, identify their individual and potential capabilities, features of class groups to identify general and functional delays, mental, labor and ethical difficulties in the development and thus scientifically measure the management of educational and upbringing processes. The main components of patriotic upbringing are characterized: cognitive, emotional-motivational, and activity ones. The key criteria of patriotic upbringing of student youth are revealed – knowledge and imagination, social behavior, activity and efficiency. It is noted that in the context of the implementation of personality-oriented approach, the study of student personality provides for the consideration of those requirements that are due, on the one hand, to the basic psychological and pedagogical principles, on the other, to the specific conditions of educational processes. It is concluded that after analyzing the formation of individual personality traits of each student, a general map is made in the classroom. In particular, the levels of education of each student and individual groups of students are shown, as well as to what extent and in what sphere of life (study, peers, work, self-education) at a given time a student can demonstrate independence, initiative, self-regulation of behavior, and who of them can do it only with the teacher’s support. Thus, the success of educational activities depends on the deep study of the inner world of students, on understanding the motives of their behavior. The teacher studies students not only in class, but also in the process of educational work: in extracurricular activities, when visiting the student’s family, during hiking and excursions, etc. The research does not claim to provide an exhaustive disclosure of all aspects of the specified problem. Further study and development are needed with the methodological bases to ensure the development of the process of patriotic education in the schools of Ukraine. Questions are raised as to formation of readiness of pedagogical workers for implementing the process of patriotic education in the conditions of decentralization

La presente investigación trata sobre la disciplina y su incidencia en el rendimiento escolar en los niños y niña; teniendo como objetivo general el de elaborar una propuesta didáctica para mejorar la disciplina de los niños 6 y 7 Año de Educación General Básica de la Unidad Educativa Club Rotario de Portoviejo, por lo que se hace profunda revisión bibliográfica. La disciplina, se parte de su definición, funciones para conceptualizar la disciplina escolar; sus dimensiones e importancia, la relación de esta con la educación y el aprendizaje; así mismo de analiza la disciplina y el castigo y las estrategias para desarrollar el orden en el aula; y su influencia en el rendimiento escolar, poniendo énfasis en los factores intra y extraescolares del rendimiento, teniendo en cuenta los tipos y las formas de evaluación; aportando con el concepto que los estudiantes aprenden mejor cuando hay disciplina, por lo que se propone la aplicación de una estrategia para fortalecer la práctica de valores en la familia y de esta manera mejorar la disciplina de los estudiantes. La principal limitación que se encontró en el proceso investigativo es la opinión de los Docentes, quienes no tienen una actitud colaborativa debido a que posiblemente sus opiniones puedan ser utilizados en su contra. THE DISCIPLINE AND THE SCHOOL PERFORMANCE OF BASIC GENERAL EDUCATION STUDENTS IN THE ROTARY CLUB OF PORTOVIEJO EDUCATIONAL UNIT ABSTRACT The present investigation deals with the discipline and its incidence in the scholastic performance in the boys and girl; having like general objective the one to elaborate a didactic proposal to improve the discipline of the children 6 and 7 Year of Basic General Education of the Educational Unit Rotary Club of Portoviejo, reason why a deep bibliographical revision is made. Discipline, part of its definition, functions to conceptualize school discipline; its dimensions and importance, its relation to education and learning; it also analyzes discipline and punishment and strategies to develop order in the classroom; and its influence on school performance, with emphasis on the intra- and extra-curricular factors of performance, taking into account the types and forms of evaluation; contributing with the concept that students learn better when there is discipline, so it is proposed the application of a strategy to strengthen the practice of values ​​in the family and thus improve the discipline of students. The main limitation that was found in the investigative process is the opinion of the teachers, who do not have a collaborative attitude because their opinions may possibly be used against them. En este trabajo se aborda la temática del abuso sexual a niños, niñas y adolescentes y la importancia de la orientación familiar en la prevención de este abominable mal que azota con gran fuerza a una población vulnerable de la sociedad. Comprende un análisis de datos históricos de los orígenes de esta práctica hasta la incidencia de casos que en la actualidad se revelan en la realidad ecuatoriana, sobre todo. Se reflexiona sobre el preocupante aumento de casos que salen a la luz pública, así como también aquellos que no son expuestos y que son parte de una estadística oculta, pero que constituyen una realidad latente que urge ser tratada. Actualmente en un alto índice de familias es muy escaso el diálogo sobre temas de prevención de la violencia sexual infantojuvenil, en gran medida por tabúes, temores e idiosincrasias culturales y falta de capacitación, por lo que se concluye que, a partir de una mayor intervención a través de procesos técnicos, la orientación familiar podría ser un proceso clave para disminuir esta abominable práctica social. THE FAMILY ORIENTATION IN THE PREVENTION OF SEXUAL ABUSE TO CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS ABSTRACT This paper addresses the issue of sexual abuse of children and adolescents and the importance of family guidance in the prevention of this abominable evil that strikes with great force a vulnerable population of society. It includes an analysis of historical data on the origins of this practice up to the incidence of cases that are currently revealed in the Ecuadorian reality, above all. It reflects on the worrying increase of cases that come to public light, as well as those that are not exposed and that are part of a hidden statistic, but that constitute a latent reality that urgently needs to be addressed. At present, in a high index of families, there is very little dialogue about prevention of sexual violence against children and adolescents, largely due to taboos, fears and cultural idiosyncrasies and lack of training, so it is concluded that, after a greater intervention Through technical processes, family counseling could be a key process to reduce this abominable social practice. Abstract Background Human development is strongly influenced by environmental factors, including the socioeconomic status (SES) of the family. The aim of this study is to analyze the prevalence of excess body weight among Polish children and adolescents from families of varying SES examined in 1983 and 2020. Methods The study group included 3–15-year olds from two cross-sectional surveys (1983 and 2020) conducted in kindergartens and schools. The 1983 cohort consisted of 3394 individuals and the one from 2020—of 1253 children and adolescents. Body height and weight were measured and body mass index was calculated. Inclusion into underweight, normal weight and overweight/obese categories was based on Cole’s cutoff points. SES was established based on the place of the parents’ birth, parents’, education status and the number of children in the family, which were self-reported in a questionary by the parents of the examined individuals. Results The mean overall SES was higher in the 2020 cohort, in comparison to the one examined in 1983. This change was also reflected by the changing prevalence of excess body weight, which, in 1983 was the greatest in the high socioeconomic category. On the other hand, in 2020 overweight/obesity was the most prevalent among individuals from families of low SES. Conclusions The present results confirm the findings obtained in other countries, which suggest that changing the level of socioeconomic development modifies the changes regarding the prevalence of excess body weight. It is an important observation because a study of this type has not yet been conducted in the Polish population.

Resumen: En este trabajo se desarrolla el tema de la violencia de la mujer en la Antigua Grecia y en la Corona de Aragón a finales de la Edad Media. Concretamente, los casos que se analizan tienen que ver, por una parte, con la violencia cometida contra la princesa de Troya, Andrómaca, la cual tras el saqueo y la caída de su patria se ha convertido en una cautiva de guerra, en una concubina de la familia que mató a su esposo e hijo; y, por la otra, con la violencia marital de la valenciana Beatriz Martí. Ambas mujeres, a pesar de los siglos que les separan, sufren injusticias y dolor, pero, también cuentan con una persona que les presta su ayuda y protección: en el caso de Andrómaca es Peleo, el abuelo de su actual amo; y, en el caso de Beatriz, la reina María de Aragón. Palabras clave: mujer, violencia, protección, maltrato, defensa Abstract: This paper develops the issue of violence against women in Ancient Greece and in the Crown of Aragon in the Late Middle Ages. Specifically, the cases analyzed have to do, on the one hand, with the violence committed against the Princess of Troy, Andromache, who, after the looting and fall of her homeland, has become a war captive, a concubine of the family that killed her husband and son; and, on the other, the case of the marital violence of the Valencian Beatriz Martí. Both women, despite the centuries that separate them, suffer injustices and pain, but they also have a person who helps and protects them: in the case of Andromache it is Peleus, the grandfather of its current owner; and, in the case of Beatriz, Queen Maria of Aragon.Keywords: woman, violence, protection, abuse, defense

The article analyzes the experiences determined by biographical circumstances that encourage individuals to choose the profession of a teacher in the pursuit of their vocation. Based on people’s biographies, it can be argued that many separate stages of human life, viewed as a whole, provide a meaningful context that can help understand the phenomenon of vocation and reveal its links to the development of professional competencies and to the efficiency of the educational system. The research usually explains the efficiency of an educational organization through pedagogical, managerial, economic and institutional aspects and defines it by qualitative characteristics that are related to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, results achieved by children, efficient use of resources, and the improvement of the teaching process. The aim of the article is to reveal a person’s vocation to become a teacher as a condition, on the one hand, leading to the pedagogical educational process through informal learning, and, on the other hand, making the educational system more efficient. The analysis and results of the qualitative research data are based on the abductive theory construction according to Peirce and the methodology of the Grounding Theory according to Strauss / Corbin. The research revealed that the choice of pedagogical profession and the perception of vocation are evoked by biographical circumstances. The pedagogical potential noticed and mentioned by the close people as well as the preferences for certain activities from childhood and the perception of one’s needs become a basis for the further development of existing competences. Thus, when a competent educator who experiences strong dedication to an educator’s profession gives lessons in an educational institution, the effective and purposeful activity of the educator interacts with the efficiency building of the education system.

This article contrasts two viewpoints about education during the Spanish Bourbon Restoration: on the one hand, the official one of the Government, and on the other hand, that of the Institución Libre de Enseñanza (Free Educational Institution), especially regarding the pedagogical ideas of one of its members, Rafael de Labra (1840–1918). After a brief overview through the educational landscape in Spain during 19th century, it is mentioned the Public Instruction Act of 1857. Next the main features of the educational system of the Restoration are summarised and it is also taken into account the alternative offered by the Institución. As to Labra’s insight on education, three main ideas are underlined: that education must be a main political issue; that academic freedom must be warranted; and that primary education must be the keystone of any educational system, due to its importance in forming the ethical and moral character of the person.

Spirituality as an integrator mediation of the social human tissue.Resumen La espiritualidad vista como estado de equilibrio que logran los seres humanos, identificados como la relación armónica entre la función física-mental, social y afectiva de los seres vivos, en interacción directa con su entorno natural. La espiritualidad se caracteriza por esa condición de disfrute de condiciones de vida placentera, constituida desde la individualidad y colectividad humana, donde el ambiente del trópico es un mediador de la interacción espiritual con el mundo ecológico, del cual emanan: espacios de convivencia, sonidos armónicos, ambientes visuales, biodiversidad climatológica y condición de vida saludable y/o no saludable. Una educación transformista, está llamada a lograr en sus educando la conciliación espiritual de los valores humanos, la sana convivencia, el sentido de pertenencia por los valores del arte, la cultura, la familia, y de los bienes y valores sociales, propiciar espacios vitales para la integración comunitaria bajo un clima de respeto que invite a la integración del tejido social, en fin, una educación que se lance a la conquista del desarrollo pleno de la espiritualidad en las  personas y  devolverles el sentido al ser humano como proyecto de vida productiva. Abstract Spirituality is seen as a state of equilibrium that human beings get, identified as the harmonic relation between the physical, mental, social, and affective functions of the alive beings, in direct interaction with its natural environment. Spirituality characterizes for that enjoy of pleasant conditions, constituted by the individual and collective human. The tropical environment is a mediator of the spiritual interaction with the ecological world, by which emanate: peaceful living spaces, harmonic sounds, visual environments, biodiversity of climate and healthy or unhealthy life conditions. A transformer education is called to reach in students the spiritual conciliation of the human values, peaceful living conditions, the sense of belonging to the art, the culture, the family, and the goods and social values, and prepare vital spaces for the integration of the community under a climate of respect which invites to the integration of the social tissue, in brief, an education whose purpose be the conquest of the integral development of the spirituality of people and give them back the sense as a productive life project.
