Reproductive health problems are dysmenorrhea is a problem related with menstruation. research show the highest prevalence of menstrual pain in adolescent women, adolescent who experience dysmenorrhea report pain that interferes with daily activities. Handling to reduce pain during menstruation, one of which is using the olive oil aroma therapy aroma method. This research to determine the effect of aroma therapy olive oil massage pain dysmenorrhea on midwifery student level I and II Stikes Tri Mandiri Sakti Bengkulu.This study used a pre experiment in one group (one group pre-post test design) the dependent variable of pain before and after treatment. Sampling was done by accidental sampling technique using the criteria totaling 41 student who experience dysmenorrhea. The study was conducted from May to June 2017. Retrievel of data using the observatioan sheet and analyzed using compared mean paired T-test. The Result of the research: (1) At 41 people in the first and second grade obstetric students who had dysmenorrhea before the massive olive oil odor therapy aroma got the average pain scale 5,73 with the standard deviation 1,450. (2) In 41 subjects who had dysmenorrhea after the massage of olive oil odor therapy, the average pain scale was 5,00 with a standard deviation of 1,414. (3) There is massive effect of olive oil odor therapy to dysmenorrhea pain in female students of Level I and II Prodi DIII Midwifery Tri Mandiri Sakti Institute of Health Sciences Bengkulu. Keywords : aroma therapy, dysmenorrhea, massage

Introductions: It is helpful for women to learn what to expect and what options are available in transition to menopause. The objective of this study was to find out the changes in the level of awareness among premenopausal women after educational intervention.Methods: Study was carried out at mothers’ group of Pinchhen Tole Lalitpur district, Kathmandu, Nepal. One hundred and four respondents were selected using non probability convenience purposive sampling technique. Data were collected before and after educational intervention.Results: The findings reveal that the total awareness score was 26.81 in pre-test and 31.97 in post test. The grand mean score of awareness was 24.81 in pre-test and 29.85 in post test. Standard deviation was 3.47 and 0.50 in pre-test and post-test respectively. The overall difference in knowledge between pre-test and post-test was highly significant.Conclusions: Educational intervention among premenopausal women is highly significant in establishing and strengthening awareness about menopausal symptoms and its reduction measures.Journal of Patan Academy of Health Sciences. 2014 Dec;1(2):55-57

Menstruation is a sign of reproductive period in women’s life. But for some women are not like that, there are various kinds of disorders and discomfort when menstruation, such as premenstrual syndrome, dismenorhoe. Based on preliminary studies in midwifery Academy Aifa Husada Madura on Maret 20th 2016 from 107 female students of semester 4 to 59 female students (55,1%) experienced dismenorhoe, and 48 female students (44,9%) did not experience dismenorhoe. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of ginger therapy toward the decreasing of dismenorhoe pain. The research methods are experiment (Experiment Research). The study design used One Group Pre-Post Test Design model and the sampling technique used accidental. Independent variable in this study was giving of ginger therapy and the dependent used variable in this study was reduction of pain scale dismenorhoe. The instrument used rating scale through observations of respondents before and after given ginger therapy. The samples were taken mostly the female students who experienced dismenorhoe in Midwifery Academy Aifa Husada Madura were 51 respondents. And the results were analyzed using wilconox test (α = 0,05). The result showed that some respondents befor giving ginger therapy were almost experiencing pain dismenorhoe were 47,1 %. While almost all respondents after given ginger therapy was experiencing of lowing pain dismenorhoe were 78,4%. Based on wicoxon statistic test found the significant value 0,00 and α = 0,05. Because of significant value < α values (0,00 < 0,05) means that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. So, there is the effect of ginger therapy toward the decreasing of dismenorhoe pain at Midwifery Academy Aifa Husada Madura The research should be used as a reference material as a herbal medicine to decrease dismenorhoe pain.

The incidence of low back pain is about 80% of the population have sufferedfrom low back pain. Data of low back pain patients within 6 months (April to September2016) as many as 72 visits in Poly Saraf RSUD Bengkulu City. The purpose of the studyto determine the effect of stretching on the reduction of the scale of pain in low back painpatients in Poly Saraf RSUD Bengkulu City. The type of research is pre-experiment withone group pre-test post-test design. Respondents were lower back pain patients as manyas 32 people taken with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done byinterview using numerical pain scale. The result showed that the average of pain scalebefore stretching was 4.81 with a standard deviation of 0.592, the pain scale afterstretching was 3.34 with a standard deviation of 0.701. Stretching exercises have asignificant effect on decreasing the scale of low back pain (p = 0.000 ≤ α 5%). It isdesirable for nurses to apply stretching exercises as an initial measure to lower the scaleof low back pain.

ObjectivesThe purpose of this study was to find the change in knowledge regarding disaster management among nurses after educational intervention.MethodsOne group pretest and post test design was adopted for the study. The study was carried out in B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal. Forty Nurses were selected from emergency, orthopedics, medicine, and surgical ward by using non-probability convenience sampling technique. A self-administered semi-structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. Data was collected before and after the educational intervention. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Chi-square and Z test) were used to identify the difference in knowledge between pre-test and post-test, at 0.05 level of significance.ResultsStudy findings revealed that in the pre-test, grand mean of the means of the nurses' knowledge on different aspects of disaster management as a whole was 2.39 with the standard deviation of 0.87. Similarly the grand mean of means of knowledge on different aspects of disaster management was 3.2 with the standard deviation of 0.47 in the post-test. The difference between pre-test and post-test in respondents' knowledge in different aspects of disaster management as a whole was calculated by using “Z” test (p < 0.05) The result showed that the educational intervention was effective in bringing changes in knowledge in all aspects of disaster management.ConclusionsStudy findings revealed that there was significant increase in knowledge in the post-test after the educational intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that education plays an important role in increasing awareness. It is recommended that awareness programs on disaster management should be carried out periodically as in-service education.

Abstract: Discrete Trial Training Methods, Language Vocabulary, Mental Retardation. Language plays an important role in the delivery of ideas, thoughts, and feelings of a person on others. But the delivery of ideas would be disturbed if the child is impaired in vocabulary, and it can occur in conditions of mentally retarded children. This research aimed to analyze the effect of the Discrete Trial Training (DTT) method to increase the vocabulary of speech in children with Mental Retardation in SLB YAAT Surakarta. This research uses experimental design of an activity to experiment aimed to determine the effect of the treatment that given using design of pre and post test only design, which will be held in SLB YAAT Surakarta, with the sampling technique used purposive sampling technique is determined by considering the purpose of research based on criteria which decided. The instrument which is used in this study were (collecting data) using instrument Assessment of Children's Language Comprehension (ACLC). From the test results of the data analysis by paired sample t-test on the variable of vocabulary in the pre-test and post-test had mean (average) and standard deviation of 0.20068-145 while the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05, in the two critical elements of variables or two important elements in the pre-test and post-test had a mean (average) and standard deviation of 9.71431 -22.33 while the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05. In the three critical elements of variables or three important elements in the pre-test and post-test had a mean (average) and standard deviation -17.00 16.43168 whereas the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05. While in the four critical elements of variables or four important elements of the pre-test and post test had a mean (average) and standard deviation 12.33 14.06471 whereas the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05. This shows that all the variables in this study showed that there is a significant effect of increasing their vocabulary and speech in children with mental retardation before and after exercise using DTT in SLB YAAT Surakarta.

Pain is a natural process in labor. The response of pain is different between one and another it is influenced by factors depended in body’s resistance mechanism since labor process. The factors are age, gender, pain’s mean, attention, previous experience, coping style, family’s support, afraid, worried, personality, fatigue, culture and social. Acupressure is one of the best non-pharmacology techniques in easiest management of labor pain, cheapest, and can be done by all of people because needs only two hands in therapy implementation. The objective of this research is to identify the influence af acupressure therapy on hands to labor pain of active phase in period I. This research was queasy experiment with non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population of this research was inpartu woman at PMB. Ratri Restuni, S.ST Samarinda. The sampling technique used non random sampling technique; it was the sampling quota of 15 people in intervention group and 15 people in control group. Data collection was obtained by doing interview and giving acupressure. The research finding shows that there is significant differences between pain scale before and after intervention in intervention group with t-value = 11,117 and p-value 0,05, in average pain scale of intervention group before and after intervention is 68.7, it decreases to 4.37, control group is 6.80 and there is no decreasing; the average period of this is 13 minutes and then increasing again. Acupressure therapy has to be applied in giving inpartu care in period I of active phase to decrease labor pain. For next researchers, they are expected to do more research by taking other variables that can influence labor pain; which are coping, family support, and personality.

Background : The uric acid disease continues to increase in prevalence, with the mainsymptom being severe pain in the joints. One of the non-pharmacological painmanagement is to use warm compresses, one of which the ingredients can use gingerbecause ginger contains some substances that can reduce pain. The purpose of thisstudy was to analyze the effectiveness of ginger compress on decreasing the scale ofjoint pain in people with uric acid in Tempurejo dan Jurug JumapoloSubjects of this research : were Tempurejo and Jurug villagers. The samples were 22respondents selected by using total sampling method. Method of the research is aqueasy experiment with pre-post test design. This research has two variables, theindependent variable is compressed ginger and the dependent variable is pain scale.Collecting data use observation paper. Data analysis using paired t-test with p=0.05The result of this research : is the average scale of the pain before giving the gingercompress is 4.18 with standard deviation ± 1.053. While the average scale of pain afterthe ginger compression is done 2.73 with standard deviation + 1.162. The meandifference of pain scale before and after giving ginger compress is 1.455 with standarddeviation + 0.671. The p-value is 0.000.The Conclusion of this research : is a ginger compress effective against the decrease inpain scale of uric acid sufferers on villagers of Tempurejo and Jurug Jumapolo.Keywords: stress level, menstrual cycles

Background: Dysmenorrhea is a pain that occurs during menstruation, caused by the contraction of the uterine muscles during menstrual bleeding which can last between 32-48 hours. This study aims to determine the decrease in pain intensity before and after giving warm compresses. Method; Type of study design is pre-experimental study design with one group pre-test and post-test design with a sample of 38 respondents. The independent variable in this study is warm compress on adolescent girls who have menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), The dependent variable in this study is the reduction of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). The results found a decrease in the average pain scale before and after warm compress therapy and after Wilcoxon signed-rank test u, the results were obtained of p-value<0.001. It shows that warm compress therapy can be reducing dysmenorrhea. Conclusion; In conclusion administration of warm compresses are significantly reduces dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls and it is expected that teenagers can practice warm compresses as an effort to reduce dysmenorrhea.

Dysmenorrhea is a menstrual disorder caused by an imbalance of the hormone progesterone in the blood. The incidence of dysmenorrhea 45-95% among women of childbearing age, occurs in adolescents who lack sports. The impact of dysmenorrhea is the percentage of attendance at college and not participating in learning. One way to deal with pain is yoga. This study aims to analyze the effect of yoga on dysmenorrhea. The study design was a quasi-experimental one-group pre-post test design. The sample in this study was 33 female students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The instrument used to measure the scale of pain during menstruation uses the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The collected data tested for normality data, and the data is normal, then the statistical test is done using repeated Anova test. The analysis showed that there were differences in pain scale before and after months 1 and 2 interventions with mean (sb) pain scale (5.8 (1.6) vs. 4.0 (1.7) vs. 2.7 (1.3) and P <0.05). The study concludes that yoga affects the decrease in pain scale during dysmenorrhea.

The puerperium is a period of change that the body needs for physical recovery, changes that occur during the puerperium sometimes cause uncomfortable during the puerperium, especially during contraction and will result in abdomen pain. Loving Massage is proven to provide comfort, reduce anxiety, divert the pain experienced and Loving Massage can also produce hormones in the body that can provide comfort to the mother of postpartum. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of technique Loving Massage changes in pain this postpartum mather in BPM “R” and BPS “B” Bukittinggi. This type of research is experimental research with pre-experimental design and design that one group pre-test-post-test. The total sample of 14 people with a purposive sampling technique. the collection of data through observation and data collection tools used were sheets of observation NRS. From the results obtained by researchers that the average scale of pain before Loving Massage is 4.93 and average pain scale after Loving Massage is 2.50.  Test results T-Dependent is P value=0,0001 which means there is an influence technique Loving Massage to change pain in postpartum.
