Introductions: It is helpful for women to learn what to expect and what options are available in transition to menopause. The objective of this study was to find out the changes in the level of awareness among premenopausal women after educational intervention.Methods: Study was carried out at mothers’ group of Pinchhen Tole Lalitpur district, Kathmandu, Nepal. One hundred and four respondents were selected using non probability convenience purposive sampling technique. Data were collected before and after educational intervention.Results: The findings reveal that the total awareness score was 26.81 in pre-test and 31.97 in post test. The grand mean score of awareness was 24.81 in pre-test and 29.85 in post test. Standard deviation was 3.47 and 0.50 in pre-test and post-test respectively. The overall difference in knowledge between pre-test and post-test was highly significant.Conclusions: Educational intervention among premenopausal women is highly significant in establishing and strengthening awareness about menopausal symptoms and its reduction measures.Journal of Patan Academy of Health Sciences. 2014 Dec;1(2):55-57

Reproductive health problems are dysmenorrhea is a problem related with menstruation. research show the highest prevalence of menstrual pain in adolescent women, adolescent who experience dysmenorrhea report pain that interferes with daily activities. Handling to reduce pain during menstruation, one of which is using the olive oil aroma therapy aroma method. This research to determine the effect of aroma therapy olive oil massage pain dysmenorrhea on midwifery student level I and II Stikes Tri Mandiri Sakti Bengkulu.This study used a pre experiment in one group (one group pre-post test design) the dependent variable of pain before and after treatment. Sampling was done by accidental sampling technique using the criteria totaling 41 student who experience dysmenorrhea. The study was conducted from May to June 2017. Retrievel of data using the observatioan sheet and analyzed using compared mean paired T-test. The Result of the research: (1) At 41 people in the first and second grade obstetric students who had dysmenorrhea before the massive olive oil odor therapy aroma got the average pain scale 5,73 with the standard deviation 1,450. (2) In 41 subjects who had dysmenorrhea after the massage of olive oil odor therapy, the average pain scale was 5,00 with a standard deviation of 1,414. (3) There is massive effect of olive oil odor therapy to dysmenorrhea pain in female students of Level I and II Prodi DIII Midwifery Tri Mandiri Sakti Institute of Health Sciences Bengkulu. Keywords : aroma therapy, dysmenorrhea, massage

ObjectivesThe purpose of this study was to find the change in knowledge regarding disaster management among nurses after educational intervention.MethodsOne group pretest and post test design was adopted for the study. The study was carried out in B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal. Forty Nurses were selected from emergency, orthopedics, medicine, and surgical ward by using non-probability convenience sampling technique. A self-administered semi-structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. Data was collected before and after the educational intervention. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Chi-square and Z test) were used to identify the difference in knowledge between pre-test and post-test, at 0.05 level of significance.ResultsStudy findings revealed that in the pre-test, grand mean of the means of the nurses' knowledge on different aspects of disaster management as a whole was 2.39 with the standard deviation of 0.87. Similarly the grand mean of means of knowledge on different aspects of disaster management was 3.2 with the standard deviation of 0.47 in the post-test. The difference between pre-test and post-test in respondents' knowledge in different aspects of disaster management as a whole was calculated by using “Z” test (p < 0.05) The result showed that the educational intervention was effective in bringing changes in knowledge in all aspects of disaster management.ConclusionsStudy findings revealed that there was significant increase in knowledge in the post-test after the educational intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that education plays an important role in increasing awareness. It is recommended that awareness programs on disaster management should be carried out periodically as in-service education.

This research aimed to discover the level of anxiety in students before the exam and the effect of music classic (Mozart) to reduce such anxiety. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas with students with a high level of anxiety, which has been revealed from the results of the anxiety scale questionnaire using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 68 respondents. This research was used with an experimental method consisting of an experimental group and a control group. From the treatment, the results showed pre-test 12.55 in the high category and post-test 7.852 in the medium category. This shows changes in the results before and after the treatment is given. It can be concluded that the effect of the use of music (Mozart) can reduce student anxiety before the test.

Abstract: Discrete Trial Training Methods, Language Vocabulary, Mental Retardation. Language plays an important role in the delivery of ideas, thoughts, and feelings of a person on others. But the delivery of ideas would be disturbed if the child is impaired in vocabulary, and it can occur in conditions of mentally retarded children. This research aimed to analyze the effect of the Discrete Trial Training (DTT) method to increase the vocabulary of speech in children with Mental Retardation in SLB YAAT Surakarta. This research uses experimental design of an activity to experiment aimed to determine the effect of the treatment that given using design of pre and post test only design, which will be held in SLB YAAT Surakarta, with the sampling technique used purposive sampling technique is determined by considering the purpose of research based on criteria which decided. The instrument which is used in this study were (collecting data) using instrument Assessment of Children's Language Comprehension (ACLC). From the test results of the data analysis by paired sample t-test on the variable of vocabulary in the pre-test and post-test had mean (average) and standard deviation of 0.20068-145 while the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05, in the two critical elements of variables or two important elements in the pre-test and post-test had a mean (average) and standard deviation of 9.71431 -22.33 while the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05. In the three critical elements of variables or three important elements in the pre-test and post-test had a mean (average) and standard deviation -17.00 16.43168 whereas the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05. While in the four critical elements of variables or four important elements of the pre-test and post test had a mean (average) and standard deviation 12.33 14.06471 whereas the p-value (sig.) = 0.000> 0.05. This shows that all the variables in this study showed that there is a significant effect of increasing their vocabulary and speech in children with mental retardation before and after exercise using DTT in SLB YAAT Surakarta.

Abstrak Indonesia menempati peringkat kedua dengan kasus (TB) tertinggi di dunia. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan strategi dalam penemuan kasus TB. Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti pengaruh Pendidikan kesehatan dengan media Audio Visual terhadap pengetahuan kader dalam upaya penemuan kasus TB. Disain penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimen dengan desain One group pre-post test design. Sebanyak 10 orang kader terpilih sebagai responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrument penelitian menggunakan kuesioner berupa google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Usia kader 70% berusia 41 tahun -50 tahun, mayoritas berpendidikan SMA (60%), sedangkan lama menjadi Kader TB mayoritas antara 1 tahun sampai 2 tahun (80%). Hasil analisis diketahui bahwa skor kader sebelum diberikan Pendidikan kesehatan dan setelah diberikan Pendidikan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Nilai rerata skor hasil pre test adalah 69,30 dan setelah pelatihan meningkat menjadi 76,00., Hasil menunjukan ada perbedaan yang signifikan pengetahuan Kader sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan Pendidikan kesehatan (P value =0,007), dengan ini maka dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai ujian pre test dan nilai ujian pos test. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Pendidikan Kesehatan dengan Audio Visual dapat digunakan dalam peningkatan pengetahuan kader dalam penemuan kasus TB. Abstract Indonesia ranks second with the highest cases (TB) in the world. Therefore, a strategy is needed in TB case finding. This study aims to examine the effect of health education with audio-visual media on cadres' knowledge to find TB cases. The design of this study was a pre-experimental design with a One group pre-post test design. A total of 10 cadres were selected as respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire in the form of a google form. The results showed that 70% of cadres were aged 41 -50 years. The majority had high school education (60%), while most TB cadres had been between 1 year and two years (80%). The analysis results showed that the score of cadres before being given health education and after being given education experienced a significant increase. The mean score of the pre-test results was 69.30 and increased to 76.00. The results showed a considerable difference in Cadre knowledge before and after health education (P-value = 0.007). Thus scores can consider a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. It can be regarded as Audio Visual to increase cadres' knowledge in TB case finding.

Hepatitis has become a health problem in the world. The hepatitis virus infected many people. According to the teacher of MTsN 02 Bondowoso more than 20 students have hepatitis A viral infection. The purpose of this research was to know the differences of students' knowledge about hepatitis A before and after counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015. This study used pre-experimental (pre-post test design). This study used stratified random sampling technique, 127 students from 270 sample involved this research,and 143 students was excluded. We used questionnaires to collect data. The results showed that the mean value of the students 'knowledge about hepatitis A before counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015 was 83.96 with the lowest value of 37.5 and the highest value was 100. The mean value of the students' knowledge about hepatitis A after counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015 was 93.21 with the lowest value waf 62.5 and the highest value was 100. Paired t test showed that t (-9.07) > t table (1.98), the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. There was a difference between students' knowledge about hepatitis A before and after counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015. This study showed that routine counseling by healthcare provider was important to prevent hepatitis A infection.; Keywords: counseling, knowledge of students, hepatitis

ABSTRAKWanita muda cenderung memiliki perilaku buruk pada kebersihan selama menstruasi. Ketika reproduksi basah dan basah, maka akan meningkatkan keasaman memfasilitasi pertumbuhan jamur. Kondisi seperti gatal pada vulva, area eksternal biasanya terjadi pada wanita muda di masa menstruasi. Perilaku seseorang dipengaruhi oleh tingkat pendidikan dan pengetahuan. Pengetahuan seseorang tentang sesuatu dapat menyebabkan perubahan perilaku. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode ceramah dalam merawat kebersihan vulva terhadap perilaku kebersihan vulva saat menstruasi pada wanita muda di kelas VII di SMPN 1 Gondang Mojokerto.Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimental One Group Pre-Post Test Design. Populasi adalah wanita muda di kelas VII di SMPN 1 Gondang Mojokerto. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dan diperoleh 21 sampel wanita muda. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Analisis data dengan membandingkan perilaku rata-rata memperlakukan kebersihan vulva selama menstruasi sebelum dan sesudah kuliah pendidikan kesehatan.Hasil penelitian sebelum pengobatan (pre-test) menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 9,000 sedangkan penelitian setelah perawatan (post test) menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 14,190. Ada perubahan dalam perilaku rata-rata memperlakukan kebersihan vulva selama menstruasi wanita muda sebelum dan sesudah kuliah pendidikan kesehatan di 5.190.Berdasarkan hasil pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode ceramah efektif untuk meningkatkan perawatan perilaku untuk kebersihan vulva selama menstruasi pada wanita muda. Kuliah pendidikan kesehatan tentang kebersihan vulva dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu cara efektif untuk memperbaiki perilaku kebersihan yang buruk selama menstruasi pada wanita muda.Kata kunci: pendidikan kesehatan, perilaku, kebersihan vulva ABSTRACTYoung women tend to have bad behavior on hygiene during menstruation. When reproduction moist and wet, it will increase the acidity facilitate mold growth. Conditions such as itching of the vulva, the external area usually occurs during young women in the menstrual period. Person's behavior is influenced by the level of education and knowledge. One's knowledge about something can cause behavioral changes. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of health education with the lecture method of treating vulva hygiene on the behavior of vulva hygiene during menstruation in young women in class VII at SMPN 1 Gondang MojokertoType of research is pre experimental One Group Pre-Post Test Design. The population was young women in class VII at SMPN 1 Gondang Mojokerto. Sampling technique used total sampling and obtained 21 samples of young women. Measurement tool used in the study was questionnaire. Analysis of the data by comparing the average behavior of treating vulva hygiene during menstruation before and after the health education lecture.The results of the study before treatment (pre-test) showed a mean value of 9,000 while the study after treatment (post test) showed a mean value of 14,190. There is a change in the average behavior of treating vulva hygiene during menstruation young women before and after the health education lecture at 5,190.Based on the results of health education with the lecture method effectively to improved behavioral care for vulva hygiene during menstruation in young women. Health education lecture about hygiene vulva can be used as one of the effective ways to improve the behavior of poor hygiene during menstruation in young women.Key Words: health education, behaviour, vulva hygiene

ABSTRAKPerkembangan (development) adalah bertambahnya kemampuan atau fungsi semua sistem organ tubuh sebagai akibat bertambahnya kematangan atau maturitas fungsi sistem organ tubuh (Dewi, 2013). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas pemberian origami dan playdough terhadap perkembangan pada anak prasekolah kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal tahun 2018.Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pre eksperiment dengan pendekatan pre-test and post-test Design. Populasi yang diteliti adalah seluruh anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal berjumlah 56 anak dengan teknik purposive sampling diperoleh sampel 36 responden. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar KPSP. Hasil penelitian kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan wilcoxon signed rank.Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa perkembangan anak sebelum pelaksanaan pemberian Origami didapatkan setengahnya perkembangan anak meragukan, setelah pelaksanaan didapatkan hampir seluruhnya perkembangan anak sesuai. Perkembangan anak sebelum pelaksanaan pemberian Playdough didapatkan sebagian besar perkembangan anak meragukan, setelah pelaksanaan didapatkan sebagian besar perkembangan anak sesuai. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada pengaruh pemberian permainan origami dan permainan Playdough terhadap perkembangan anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Tahun 2018 dengan hasil ρ-value = 0,001 ɑ = 0,05 dari kelompok origami dan ρ-value = 0,007 ɑ = 0,05 dari kelompok playdough, sedangkan hasil analisis perbedaan adanya perbedaan efektivitas pengaruh pemberian permainan origami dan playdough terhadap perkembangan anak pada kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Tahun 2018 dengan hasil ρ-value = 0,043 ɑ = 0,05.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh permainan origami dan playdough terhadap perkembangan anak pada kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Tahun 2018. Diharapkan kepada orang tua maupun guru untuk lebih meningkatkan frekuensi dalam memberi stimulus permainan terutama permainan origami yang diberikan kepada anak. Kata Kunci : Perkembangan , Anak Prasekolah,  Origami, Playdough ABSTRACTDevelopment is increasing ability or function of all organ systems of the body as a result of increasing maturity or maturity function of the organ system of the body (Dewi, 2013). The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness difference of origami and playdough on development in preschoolers group A in Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten in 2018.The research design used is research pre eksperiment with approach pre-test dan post-test. The population studied was all group A children in kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal amounted to 56 children with purposive sampling technique obtained sample 36 respondents. The research instrument used is KPSP sheet. The results were then analyzed by using wilcoxon signed rank.The results of the research show that the development of children before the implementation of giving Origami found half of child development doubt, after the implementation is obtained almost entirely the child's development accordingly. Child development prior to the implementation of Playdough gift obtained most of the development of children doubt, after the implementation is obtained most of the child's development accordingly.  The results of the analysis show that there is an effect of giving origami game and Playdough game to the child development group A in Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten Year 2018 with the result ρ-value = 0.001 ɑ = 0.05 from the origami group and ρ-value = 0.007 ɑ = 0.05 of the playdough group, while the result of difference analysis that is difference between origami and playdough influence to children development in group A diiyah Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Year 2018 with result of ρ-value = 0,043 ɑ = 0,05.Based on the research results can be concluded there is influence of origami and playdough on the development of children in group A in Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten Year 2018. BACKGROUND HIV infection is one of the most leading infections in the world. According to WHO HIV constitutes to be a major global public health issue, having claimed almost 33 million so far. There were an estimation of 38.0 million people living with the HIV at the end of 2019. As a result of concerted international efforts to respond to HIV , coverage of services has been steadily increasing. In 2019, 68% of adults and 53% of children living with HIV globally were receiving lifelong antiretroviral therapy (ART). There is no cure of HIV infections , however effective antiretroviral drugs can the control of virus and help onward transmission to other people. The knowledge regarding HIV infections in the public is a not much. The study focuses on the effectiveness of self instructional module on knowledge regarding the HIV among the drivers in Kancheepuram, Chennai. The objectives of the study was to assess the pre and post test of the self instructional module. For the study 60 samples were adopted by purposive sampling technique. The pre test was conducted by giving the structured questionnare then the module was given and then the post assessment was conducted. The study was conducted for 1 week. In the pre assessment 52(86.7%) were having inadequate knowledge and 8(13.3%) had moderately inadequate knowledge. In the post test 50(83.33%) had moderately adequate knowledge and 10(16.67%) has adequate knowledge. The effectivess of self instructional module was calculated by the paired t test (t=12.880) was found to be statistically highly significant at p<0.001 OBJECTIVE To assess the pre test level of existing knowledge on HIV among drivers. (2)To determine the effectiveness of self instructional module on HIV among drivers. (3)To find the association between the level of knowledge with their selected demographic variables METHODS Quantative research approach and pre experimental one group pre test post test design was used to assess the effectiveness of self instructional module on HIV to drivers. After obtaining permission from Saveetha College Of Nursing , the investigator selected 60 drivers by using purposive sampling technique. The sample who met the inclusion criteria were selected by purposive sampling technique . The investigator introduced and explained the purpose of the study to the samples and obtain the written confirmed. The purpose of the study were explained to the drivers. Section A: It consist of the demographic variables which include Age, sex, education. Occupation, monthly income, religion, marital status, type of family and dietary pattern.Section B- It consist 25 multiple choice questions to assess the effectiveness of self instructional module. RESULTS The drivers most of them 26(43.3%) were in the age group of 41 – 50 years, all 60(100%) were male, 45(75%) were private employee, 21(35%) had monthly income of 9000 – 11000 and above 11000 respectively, 45(75%) were married, 32(53.3%) belonged to nuclear family 45(75%) were non-vegetarian. Section B : Assess the pretest level of existing knowledge on HIV among drivers. The finding of the pretest 52(86.67%) had inadequate knowledge and 8(13.33%) had moderately adequate knowledge. Whereas in the post test, 50(83.33%) had moderately adequate knowledge and 10( 16.67%) had adequate knowledge on HIV among drivers CONCLUSIONS The findings revealed that the existing level of knowledge on HIV among drivers was improve the knowledge about HIV to be effective awareness by administered self instructional module

Context and objectiveThe negative consequences of inadequate nursing handovers on patient safety are widely acknowledged, both within the literature as in practice. Evidence regarding strategies to improve nursing handover is, however, lacking. This study investigates the effect of a tailored, blended curriculum on nurses’ perception of handover quality.MethodsWe used a pre-test/post-test design within four units of a Belgian general hospital. Our educational intervention consisted of an e-learning module on professional communication and a face-to-face session on the use of a structured method for handovers. All nurses completed this blended curriculum (n=87). We used the Handover Evaluation Scale (HES) to evaluate nurses’ perception of handover quality before and after the intervention. The HES was answered by 87.4% of the nurses (n=76 of 87) before and 50.6% (n=44 of 87) after the intervention. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to assess the validity of the HES.ResultsThe original factor structure did not fit with our data. We identified a new HES structure with acceptable or good fit indices. The overall internal consistency of our HES structure was considered adequate. Perception of nurses on Relevance of information showed a significant improvement (M=53.19±4.33 vs M=61.03±6.01; p=0.04). Nurses also felt that the timely provision of patient information improved significantly (M=4.50±0.34 vs M=5.16±0.40; p=0.01).ConclusionThe applied intervention resulted in an improved awareness on the importance of Relevance of information during handovers. After our intervention, the nurses’ perception of the HES item ‘Patient information is provided in a timely manner’ also improved significantly. We are aware that the educational intervention is only the first step to achieve the long-term implementation of a culture of professional communication based on mutual support.
