Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine with historical roots in the Indian subcontinent. It is one of the most technical medical systems in the world with an extended record of scientific experience. Ayurveda tells the way of life and how to live healthily and stay happy. It has eight prime branches of medicine. Agada tantra is one of the specialized divisions of Ayurveda that offer scrupulously thorough information about animate and non-animated poisons and methods of removal of these poisons from the body. It chiefly advocates different antidotes for equip- ment that are poisonous to the human body. There are various ancient books which have relation regarding the Toxicology Agada tantra in which we can get references regarding the above mentioned and treated as such with Antidotes. Antidotes are the substances used to counteract or deactivate the effects of poison. Poison may be by plant, or through animal bites like snake bites etc., agricultural poisons, poisonous metals and minerals etc. There are mainly two types of poison mentioned in Ayurveda, are Sthavar visha and Jangham visha., Common antidote in Ayurveda is Swarna, Ghrita, Godudha and Madhu etc. antidote plays important role in the treatment of poisoning which we can see in the current paper, the main moto of doctor is to save the patient's life. In Ayurveda, our Achar- yas mentioned the different types of poisonous substances and their antidote under Visha Chikitsa references. The concept of Prativisha which is existed since ancient time needs to be supplemented, explained, refurbish and narrate for proper treatment. So, this article aims to collect the references of curative and preventive measures of poisoning. Keywords: Visha, Antidotes, Vagbhatta, Vishavaidyajyotsnika

Ayurveda Samhita describes various types of Visha such as Sthavara Visha (Inanimate poison), Jangama Visha (Animate poison) and Kritima Visha. These types of Visha, when it enters into the body, it passes through the different Dhatus and give rise to different stages of Vega in the body and according to these Vegas, different types of signs and symptoms appear on the body. The main aim of this review article is to compile and evaluate the concept of Visha Vega and their sign & symptoms. All the descriptions of Visha Vega mentioned in different Ayurvedic texts were critically analyzed and discussed to check their relation. After analysis, it is observed that all the symptoms which appear during entering of the Visha are mainly due to their Vegas. As gradually stages of Vega progresses, their signs and symptoms gradually become more severe. After critically analyzed it is concluded that if we diagnosed the different Vegas of Visha  at the right time, we could treat those patients better.

The functioning of the immune system of the body is regulated by many factors. The abnormal regulation of the immune system may result in some pathological conditions. Sex hormones of reproductive system are one of the major factors that regulate immune system due to the presence of hormone receptors on immune cells. The interaction of sex hormones and immune cells through the receptors on these cells effect the release of cytokines which determines the proliferation, differentiation, and maturation of different types of immunocytes and as a result the outcome of inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. The different regulations of sex hormones in both sexes result in immune dimorphism. In this review article the mechanism of regulation of immune system in different sexes and its impact are discussed.

Skin is an important and most visible organ of our body. Any disease related to skin can create physical as well as psychological problems in an individual. In recent years there has been increase in the incidence of skin problems in the tropical and developing countries like India due to various factors like pollution, un-hygienic condition etc. In Ayurveda all the skin disease considered in Kustha, which are further catego-rized into Mahakustha and Kshudrakustha. Dadru is one of the most common but miserable variety of Kustha affects the population of all age groups and it stands as a challenge to different medical systems inspite of many advances. Dadru is a Kapha Pitta Pradhan Vyadhi and the management of which includes Shodhana(elimination), Shamana (alleviation) and Bahirparimarjana (external application) Chikitsa. Da-dru can be correlated with Ringworm in modern terminology. Ringworm is a common fungal skin infection otherwise known as tinea. Ringworm most commonly affects the skin on the body (tinea corporis), the scalp (tinea capitis), the feet (tinea pedis), or the groin (tinea cruris). It is the commonest single fungus group infections found in an unhygienic environment. In modern various antifungal agents like Flucona-zole, Miconazole, Itraconazole etc. have been used for the treatment of these infections. In Ayurveda, so many herbs like Cakramarda, Bakuchi, Karanja, Rasona, Haridra etc. having antifungal activity which are experimentally proved to control and treat Dadru Kustha without any adverse effect.

Summary. Data on distribution of hypodermatosis among large horned cattle in Stavropol region are presented in the article. It was proved that this pathology is widespread in this region. From 12% to 38% of animals from the total number of examined livestock are affected. Ordinary subcutaneous botfly (stroma) Hypoderma bovis de Geer and south subcutaneous botfly (pischevodnik) Hypoderma lineatum de Villers parasites on large horned cattle. The species ratio of gadflies is: Hypoderma bovis (de Gee - 61.1%, Hypoderma lineatum de Villers - 38.9%). The disease is widespread in all climatic zones of Stavropol region. Animals of all age and sex groups are infected, but young animals are more often affected. Linear relationship between the indicators of the transformation of climatic conditions in Stavropol region, the spread of hypodermatosis and the timing of treatment and preventive measures were determined. Authors proved that the complete death of H. bovis and H. lineatum imago (regardless of the time of their hatching) was noted when the temperature drops to -3°C for two days. Thus, this temperature determines the start of treatment and preventive measures against hypodermatosis in the area of animal welfare. When analyzing the histomorphological changes caused by H. bovis and H. lineatum in the body of large horned cattle, perforation of the skin, swelling of adjacent tissues, disorganization of the stroma and structural elements, erythrocyte aggregation, hemorrhages, hydropic degeneration of cellular elements, tissue necrosis, polymorphonuclear leukocyte infiltration of affected organs and tissues were observed. The data on pathogenesis were presented, the analysis of economic damage and the veterinary and sanitary assessment of the products of slaughter of cattle with hypodermatosis were carried out.

Hyperlipidemia is the immediate results of the excessive fat intake in food. This results in the elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. This leads to heart conditions like CAD, hypertension, congestive heart failure as risk factors which can be lethal. There are many drugs to treat and control the lipids levels in the body. These drugs are either designed to prevent LDL accumulation and VLDL synthesis. Some drugs also lower the elevated levels of saturated lipids in the body. But many drugs are known to cause side effects and adverse effects; therefore, alternatives to the drugs are the subjects for current investigations. Herbs and medicinal plants are used as treatment sources for many years. They have been used in the Indian medical systems like Ayurveda, Siddha etc. As the application of herbs in the treatment is growing, there is an urgent need for the establishment of Pharmacological reasoning and standardization of the activity of the medicinal plants. Chloris paraguaiensis Steud. is Poyaceae member that is called locally as Uppugaddi. Traditionally it is used to treat Rheumatism, Diabetes, fever and diarrhoea. The chemical constituents are known to have anti-oxidant properties and most of the anti-oxidants have anti-hyperlipidemic activity too. Since the plant has abundant flavonoid and phenol content, the current research focusses on the investigation of the anti-hyperlipidemic activity of the plant Chloris extracts. Extracts of Chloris at 200mg/kg showed a comparably similar anti hyperlipidemia activity to that of the standard drug. The extracts showed a dose based increase in the activity at 100 and 200mg/kg body weight.

The assessment and dynamic control over students’ status is a very important task. It allows timely detection of prenosological status prior to pathology and health maintenance in students. The objective of the paper is to assess the adaptive abilities of the body, to analyze changes in heart rate variability indicators in students with various types of autonomic regulation, to identify prenosological status and precursory pathological symptoms. Materials and Methods. The study enrolled 302 students from India, aged 21.54±1.43. Programming complex «Psychophysiologist» was used to register the main HRV parameters within 5 minutes. Health status was evaluated according to the index of functional changes and the scale of functional states. Results. N.I. Shlyk (2009) distinguished two groups of students with different types of autonomic regulation: type 1 (53 %) with moderate and type 2 (5 %) with marked characteristics of central regulation profile, type 3 (35 %) with moderate and type 4 (7 %) with marked characteristics of autonomous regulation profile. Main parameters of HRV and adaptation potential were defined for each student. All the parameters characterized functional and health status. Conclusions. It was shown that 82 % of trial subjects (type 1), 53 % (type 2), 94 % (type 3) and 95 % (type 4) demonstrated satisfactory adaptation and their physiological processes were at an optimal level. 18 % of students (type 1) demonstrated reduced adaptive abilities of the body. Moreover, they were under moderate stress. 47 % of subjects (type 2) were also under a significant stress, which was proven by excessively high SI, low SDNN and TP, and an increased index of functional changes. 5 % of students (type 4) revealed dysfunctional characteristics in the heart rhythm, peculiar to pathology. Keywords: foreign students, heart rate variability, types of autonomic regulation, adaptation potential, functional status.
