The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the values ​​of Pancasila as a national character development strategy in the era of globalization, whether they have been implemented properly or not. The research method that I use in this research uses non-interactive qualitative methods. The results of this study indicate that character building has been carried out by all means, but until now it has not been implemented optimally. This can be seen from the large economic, political and social disparities, unjust rule of law, corruption, collusion and nepotism that spread to all sectors. Seeing the dire situation and condition of the nation's character, our government took the initiative to prioritize the character building of the Indonesian nation. This can be seen from the national development mission itself which consists of eight missions and character education is the first mission in realizing the vision of national development.

<p>The situation and condition of the nation’s concern, prompting the government to take the initiative to prioritize the development of national character education. National character building used as the mainstream of national development. It implies that any development efforts must always be directed to a positive impact on the development of character. Regarding the constitutional manner is already reflected in national development missions positioning character education as the first mission of the eight missions in order to realize the vision of national development. This research analyzes the cultural education and the character that comes from The Holly Books Of Buddha In Java Language By Rsi Wikkhu Dewadharmaputra<em>.</em> The focus of this research to reveal the cultural values and character arising from the practice of Buddhist ritual. The data is collected, analyzed by the method of hermeneutics.</p>

Character is something that is reflected in human beings through their words, actions and movements in daily life. Good characters are expected by everyone. Indonesia has sparked 18 national character values that must be owned by its citizens. Characters will be formed through daily habituation that is done consistently, exemplary and repetitive. One environment that helps the development of children's character is the school environment, where habituation in the school environment must be in line with habituation in the home environment and community environment. This article was written to look at how the school environment can help in character development, by taking one of the schools that focuses on students' character education, namely the character school in the Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) Depok, in terms of its education management and education model.

Tahlilan is one of the ancestral traditions of the Indonesian nation which is rich in social values. Apart from functioning as a religious ritual, it is also meaningful as a medium for character education. Through the field research method, this research seeks to reveal the values of character education contained in the tahlilan tradition, especially tahlilan carried out by the people of Losari Village, Losari District, Cirebon Regency. The results of this study found that there are so many values of character education contained in the tahlilan tradition in Losari Village, namely; diversity, social concern, hard work, and discipline. Thus, it can be said that the tahlilan tradition can function as the basis for character education for the Indonesian nation, especially among the Indonesian Muslim community.

ABSTRAK Pendidikan membangun karakter merupakan proses panjang yang harus dimulai sejak masa kelahiran anak walaupun baru dirasakan dampaknya setelah anak-anak tersebut tumbuh dewasa. Pendidikan karakter sejak dini merupakan pondasi awal dalam membentuk karakter di masa mendatang. Sikap bersahaja harus ditanamkan pada anak mulai sejak dini karena untuk memilah dan memilih antara apa yang dibutuhkan dan tidak dibutuhkan. Hidup bersahaja banyak memberi manfaat bagi kehidupan karena dapat memperteguh hati untuk selalu bersyukur atas apa yang Allah berikan dan hidup akan lebih berarti bagi sesama. Salah satu membiasakan anak usia dini bersahaja yaitu dengan cara menabung. Menabung berarti menyisihkan sebagian uang yang dimiliki untuk disimpan dalam jangka waktu tertentu. tujuan orang-orang dalam menabung pada umumnya sangatlah berbeda-beda tapi intinya adalah untuk memenuhi ekspektasi atau harapan di masa depan. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, maka penelitian yang berupa kata-kata dan gambar dalam pengumpulan data-data, data tersebut mengandung makna yakni makna yang sebenarnya atau suatu nilai yang baik. Menanamkan sikap bersahaja pada anak usia dini dengan cara pembiasaan menabung.   Kata Kunci : anak usia dini, sikap bersahaja, pembiasaan menabung     ABSTRACT Character building education is a long process that must be started from childbirth even when it is felt after the children grow up. Early character education is an early foundation for character building in the future. Simple attitudes should be instilled in children starting early because to sort and choose between what is needed and not needed. Simple life provides many benefits for life because it can strengthen the heart to always be grateful for what God gives and life will be more meaningful to others. One of the habitual early childhood that is by way of saving. Saving means setting aside some of the money held for a certain period of time. the purpose of the people in saving in general is very different but the point is to meet expectations or expectations in the future. By using qualitative methods, the research in the form of words and images in the collection of data, the data contains the meaning of the true meaning or a good value. Culture is one of the foundations for the existence of Indonesia as a nation, as it is expressed in the second stanza of her national anthem. The government has taken an initiative to prioritize national character building, which places character education to realize the vision of national development. One of the efforts to visualize this Indonesian is constructed through a Bukalapak advertisement entitled “Barongsai Indonesia, Juara Hati Membangun Negeri,” which presented the Kong Ha Hong lion dance group and was published via Youtube. This study aims to see that the character values of the Indonesian nation can be constructed through digital media, more precisely through an advertisement. This research employed a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm that sees facts as unique and has a special meaning. In addition, the analysis used Thomas Albert Sebeok's visual semiotics to depict several similar classifications to different visual symbols. It was found that every advertisement scene contained both visual and audio messages related to the adaptation of the culture and character of the Indonesian. The contribution and novelty of this research in its construction of the deep meaning of an advertisement are that the conscience has played a major role in the process of cultural adaptation in which the national characters have been honed through the actual actions in the heart-mind, body, and spirit. This research suggested that the character of the Indonesian nation can be formed through cultural adaptation, as proven by the Kong Ha Hong lion dance

One of the functions of education is to form the character of students. Character building is a system of inculcating character values ​​to students through competency achievement activities in accordance with the level of education. Character education at the institutional level leads to the formation of values ​​that underlie individual behavior applied in society. The problem that arises in this research lies in fostering student character so that it gives rise to several research questions such as: How to plan students’ character development at Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh in building student character, How is the implementation of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program  in fostering student character and what are the implications of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program in fostering students’ character. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts made by ustaz ustazah in planning student character development in Ma'had, to determine the implementation of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program and to find out what are the implications of the Ma'had UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh program. in building student character. The research method in this thesis uses qualitative research methods in the form of descriptive analysis. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results in this thesis research indicate that planning at the beginning of the program that  students are required to live in a dormitory and the role of dorm supervisor is very important for students in the dormitory. They carry out disciplinary attitudes through congregational prayers, Implementation of the Ma'had program through the Tsaqafah Islamiyah program, the Tahsin program and the Dormitory program. The ma'had program is very beneficial for students, because undergoing activities in a dormitory is like living in an Islamic boarding school. Surely, it really helps them in doing good things, especially in worship to get closer to the Khaliq and many other positive things that students get during this program. They can manage their time in discipline.

Degradation of moral consciousness, especially in the politic and Indonesian government bureaucracy, in recent times that was pictured by various anomalies and immorality, such as a corruption, has become a negative “cultural norm”, which seem very difficult to be controlled. The condition of national spirit and morality suggested the need of redevelopment of model of character education (character building) as a national healing. Imam Zarkasyi implemented several principles of character building in the Pesantren of Darussalam Gontor. He taught his pupils on the basis of the virtues of the excellences with refer to the Panca Jiwa and the Four Mottos of Modernity of the Pesantren as their living values. His reformative efforts in the context of contemporary Islamic education are actually intended to the development of character, in other words, “character building”, by implementing the principle of the Golden Mean of Ibn Miskawaih. Some aspects of Zarkasyi's principles of education that might be supportive for developing the national character education program, and still relevant for today are: firstly, moral education should have the leadership insights; secondly, moral education should have the objective moral values as the teleological purposes; thirdly, moral education should be built through the best environment, in order to be optimized and efficient; and fourthly, moral education curriculum should be integrated and comprehensive. So, the Zarkasyi's concept of character building, and the education movement became the concept of character education that quite mature and should be extracted by our nation.

The Impact

This study aims to determine the implementation of special character education on the impact for students and school components at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Insan Cendekia Gorontalo. This research method is a qualitative field research. Data collection was carried out through preliminary or pre-observational studies, observations, and interviews. The characters developed in this madrasa include disciplined, religious, polite, responsible, hard work and cooperation. In other words, this character development is carried out in the madrasah program of activities both through learning, as well as extra ¬ curricular as well as religious and self-development activities. The impact of the results of the implementation of character education at MAN Insan Cendekia Gorontalo has a positive impact for all groups, especially for students and the school community. The impact of character education for school components. The implementation of character education at MAN Insan Cendekia Gorontalo is very beneficial for students, due to changes in attitudes that are even better and according to the expectations of parents, where their children live disciplined, productive, independent and able to practice religious teachings.
