The Case of Shisong Hospital: Is Promotion the Reason for Employee Satisfaction, Commitment or Intention to Quit?

The movement of professionals from one organisation to another in quest for satisfaction has been a matter of serious concern to health organisations especially Shisong hospital in Kumbo east health district, Bui Division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon. This hospital sought to reduce this labour turnover and increase employee satisfaction through promotion, which is one of its internal recruitment sources. The question has been whether the use of promotion will lead to employee satisfaction and commitment and reduce the urge to leave this organisation. An investigation has been done using a close ended questionnaire with 166 employees of this hospital to prove if significant relationships exist between promotion and employee satisfaction; employee satisfaction and employee commitment; and promotion and employee intention to quit the organisation. Correlation analysis concluded that there is a significantly strong relationship between promotion and employee satisfaction, a significantly very strong relationship between employee satisfaction and employee commitment and a negatively weak significant relationship between promotion and employee intention to quit this Hospital. Specially, it has been realised that even employees who have not experienced promotion in Shisong hospital are not willing to quit their job as a result of promotion. There will therefore be need to investigate the reason for this special result. Based on promotion alone, much is left to be desired from Shisong hospital.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penyesuaian diri dan rasa empati dengan interaksi sosial pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri1 Argamakmur. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasi dengan instrument angket. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket hubungan antara penyesuaian diri dan rasa empati dengan interaksi sosial teknik  korelasi product moment dan korelasi ganda. Hasil yang di peroleh dalam penelitian adalah hubungan yang signifikan antara penyesuaian diri dengan interaksi sosial dengan nilai rx1y 0,512. Adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara penyesuaian diri dengan interaksi sosial f dengan nilai rx2y 0,802 dan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara penyesuaian diri dan rasa empati dengan interaksi dengan nilai rx1x2y 0.684. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan korelasi yang signifikan antara penyesuaian diri dan rasa empati dengan interaksi pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Argamakmur dengan tingkat hubungan kuat.Kata kunci:  Penyesuaian Diri, Rasa Empati, Interaksi Sosial CORRELATION OF  ADJUSTMENT AND EMPAHTY TO SOCIAL INTERACTIONS OF TWO GRADE STUDENTS MAJORINGIN SOCIAL PROGRAMAT SMANEGERI 1 ARGAMAKMUR  ABSTRACTThis study aims to study the relationship between self and empathy with social interaction in social studies class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Argamakmur. The results obtained in the study are significant relationships between adjustment and social interaction with a value of rx1y 0.512. There is a significant relationship between adjustment and social interaction f with a value of rx2y 0.802 and a significant relationship between adjustment and a sense of empathy with interactions with a value of rx1x2y 0.684. Employee training and development are essential tools for anorganization’s continuing growth and productivity. Training and development provide benefits to both the individual and organization as a whole that make the cost and time a worthwhile investment. Thus, thesuccess of employee training and development in an organization can only be quantified in a financial term as return on investment (ROI). The main aim of this study was to investigate the impact of employee commitment and satisfaction on training effectiveness. This study utilized quantitative approach in gathering the data. A total of 100 public sector employees participated in this study. The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The findings indicate the existence of a significant relationship between employee satisfaction and training effectiveness but there was no significant relationship between employee commitment and training effectiveness. The findings also indicate that there was a significant difference between employee satisfaction and training effectiveness in relation to gender and working experience. However, there was no significant difference between employee satisfaction and trainingeffectiveness in relation to marital status, age, race and education level. From these findings of the study, organizations will be able to identify employee needs for training and development. Organizations will also find this study useful in formulating their internal policies for training and development to gauge training effectiveness and of course, increase return on investment.

This study was designed for comparing between manic and mixed episodes and the relationship between these episodes and special scores were evaluated.This analytical - observational study was performed in Kerman Beheshti hospital / Kerman / Iran : one hundred and eighty six bipolar inpatients with diagnosis of manic and mixed episodes were included in study. They were assessed with the Young mania and Beck Depression Inventory.Frequency of pure mania was 22.6%. The mean of age of onsent was lower in mixed type (P = 0.02). Young score was higher in pure mania (p = 0.026).Spearman's correlation coefficient show strong relationship between duration of hospitalization and young score (p = 0.0001).These is significant relationship between Beck score and family history of bipolar disorder (p < 0.05). and there was significant relationship between Beck score and patient’s insight overlay,comorbidity of personality disorder was 26.3 was similar in both groups.There were significant relationships between age of onset of illness and positive familial history of bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder,and between suicidal attept and panic disorder and social phobia,however rapid cycling was higher in mixed patients significantly (p = 0.009).As far as we know This is the first study regarding relationship between bipolar subtypes and severity of mood disorders in Iran. This study is a part of a larger study including several provinces in Iran.We believed the prevalence of mixed state is not well known and in many cases it could be underdiagnosed.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0.5in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: &quot;CG Times&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">Previous research examining employee commitment has focused primarily on organizational commitment, with a limited number of studies investigating professional and professional association commitment.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>In the present study, the effects of satisfaction with human resource practices and employee empowerment on organizational, professional, and professional association commitment were examined.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Overall, the findings support the distinctiveness of each domain.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Satisfaction with human resource practices and employee empowerment exhibited a strong relationship with organizational commitment.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Employee empowerment was more strongly related to professional association commitment than satisfaction with human resource practices.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Professional commitment more closely resembled the pattern of results found with organizational commitment, but fewer significant relationships existed. Several avenues for future research are discussed.</span></p>

Endometriosis is one of the most common gynecological problem. Cells resulted in chronic inflammation and progressive, proliferative, invasive and even infiltrating an area that resembles the character of the malignancy. Ki-67 is an antigen on the cell nucleus that is found only in actively dividing cells. Expression of Ki-67 are associated with an aggressive tumor and metastasis. This study aims to determine the level of Ki-67 expression correlation with stage and size of the endometriosis cyst. Methods research is observational analytic cross cut method on 56 paraffin blocks of patients who have been diagnosed with endometriosis and had performed a laparotomy or laparoscopic surgery in Dr Hasan Sadikin Hospital. The results showed a significant relationship between the level of expression of Ki-67 with endometriosis cyst size (p <0.001) with a fairly strong relationship (0.55) according to statistics based on criteria Guilford. Moreover the results also showed a significant relationship between the level of expression of Ki-67 with endometriosis stage (p <0.001) with a fairly close relationship (0.564) according to statistics based on criteria Guilford. It can be concluded that the expression of Ki-67 associated with cyst size and stage of endometriosis. Keywords: Ki-67, endometriosis stage, endometriosis cyst

This study examines the influence of receivables on liquidity at PT. Graha Tumarima. Sukabumi City for 5 years, with a sampling technique using a purposive sample in the form of financial statement data from 2010 to 2014 using a table of trade receivables and company liquidity. In this study, researchers refer to the theory of Bambang Riyanto (2008: 94) as the connecting theory of the title. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship and influence between receivables and liquidity at PT. Graha Tumarima. The research design uses the method of exposing the facto, the method of data collection aims to test the hypothesis by using correlation analysis, determination, regression and hypothesis testing with t-test. The results of this study show the influence of receivables on liquidity is shown by the value of r = 0.888, meaning that receivables have a very strong relationship to liquidity. The nature of the relationship is positive, meaning that if the value of cooperative credit is higher the liquidity will be higher. Conversely, if the value of receivables decreases, liquidity will decrease. The magnitude of the influence of receivables on liquidity is shown by the value of R Square / Determination Coefficient of 0.789 or 78.9% thus the receivables have an effect of 78.9% on cooperative liquidity. Hypothesis testing uses the t test, that t arithmetic = 3.347 while t table = 3.182 means t arithmetic&gt; t table. Means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. There is an influence between the receivables on liquidity at PT. Graha Tumarima, Sukabumi City

Increasing the number of elderly causes an increase in health problems one of which is associated with hypertension which can cause complications and death. The purpose of this study was to determine the description and accuracy of the use of antihypertensive drugs in geriatric patients who were diagnosed with hypertension at the Tajinan Primary Health in Malang in the period January-December 2019. This study was an observational or non-experimental study conducted using retrospective medical record data. The measuring instrument used was the data collection sheet from the medical record, the Consensus for Hypertension Management 2019 to see the accuracy of indications, patient accuracy, drug accuracy, and dose accuracy. Data analysis using Correlation Test. The results of the correlation analysis showed that the resulting Standardize estimates were 0.002 (p <0.05) which showed that there was a significant relationship between sexes with the occurrence of hypertension. The results of the correlation analysis showed that the resulting Standardize estimates were 0.001 (p <0.05) which means that there was a significant relationship between the accuracy of the types of antihypertensive drugs used in hypertensive patients. The conclusion is that the rationality evaluation of the use and administration of drugs in hypertensive patients at the Tajinan Primary Health in Malang based on the 2019 Hypertension Management Consensus guidelines shows the accuracy both in terms of indication, drug, patient and dose.

The results of the conducted studies 102 of the manufacturer testify to the presence of essential clinical and echographic, immunological and morphological features of the "wealthy" or "insolvent" scar on the uterus after the cesarean section. The correlation analysis with the calculation of the Correlation coefficient of Gamma (G) indicates a statistically significant relationship between the average degree between the way of the delivery and the scar thickness (G = 0.55, p = 0.001), strong correlation between the ultrasound data (G = 0.74 , p = 0.002) and antibodies to type I collagen (G = 0.93, p = 0.003). Determining the level of antibodies to the type I collagen is the mostimportant criterion confirming the usefulness of the scar on the uterus.Keywords: cesarean section, uterine scar, pregnancy

<p>This study aimed to examine the alleged causality between the dependent and independent variables. This study is a descriptive research using survey method. Datan collected by using questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis to test the hypothesis. Engineering analysis will be determined by SPSS data analysis program. The result of the study were; 1) Leadership style has a significant relationship with the performance of officials local government in Gorontalo city. It is seen in the calculation of the product r correlation counted is 0.811 at the significance level (0.05), r table at 0,239 then count r &gt; r of the table so that we can conclude the existence of a significant relationship, while the relationship is based on arithmetic interval coefficient criteria r is 0.811, which means relatively strong relationship with the leadership style of performance in local government apparatus city Gorontalo relatively strong. While t is 0.957 and compared t table with a significance level of 0.044 (0.05) turns out t count&gt; t table with the sense of the hypothesis is accepted which stated the existence of a significant relationship. 2) Organizational Culture has a significant relationship performance in local government apparatus city Gorontalo, it can be seen that the calculation of the product correlation r counted is 0.922 at the significance level (0.05)r price table is 0.098 then the count r &gt; r table. It conclude the existence of a significant relationship, while the relationship is based on interval arithmetic coefficient criteria r is 0.922, which means has relatively strong relationship with the organizational culture apparatus as very strong performance. While t is 0.957 and compared t table with a significance level of 0.044 (0.05) turns out t &gt; t table. It means the hypothesis is accepted which states the existence of a very significant. 3) Relationship between Leadership Style and organizational culture have significant performance relationship in local government of Gorontalo apparatus city. It is seen in the strength of mastery skills and cultural organization along with the performance of the apparatus, comparing the r counting with r table it is known that 0.811 &gt; 0.239, the correlation both have strong significant relationship.</p>

Sei Siulak Deras Irrigation Area is one of the Irrigation Areas located in Kerinci Regency based on the decision of Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) regulations No.12/PRT/M/2015 concerning criteria and estabishment of Irrigation Area status with an area of 5,801 Ha. The authority for operational and maintenance implementation is handled by the Dinas PUPR of Jambi Province ( RTRW of Jambi Province, 2013). The performance of the Sei Siulak Deras irrigation network infrastructure is inseparable from the available maintenance budget, for this reason, it is necessary to conduct a study that analyzes the relationship between routine maintenance costs for the performance of irrigation network infrastructure in the Sei Siulak Deras irrrigation area of Kerinci District, Jambi Province.  In this study an examination of the existing conditions of irrigation networks involving 1 observer and 6 irrigation workers, the irrigation network inspection using the standards issued by the Operation and Maintenance Agency of the Dinas PUPR of Jambi Province. From the results of the correlation analysis the cost of routine maintenance on the performance of irrigation network infrastructure is 0.9, this indicates a strong relationship between the two variables. While the maintenance budget allocated by the government to the maintenance of irrigation network infrastructure is very lacking, amounting to IDR 806,081,000 from the budget for the maintenance of irrigation network infrastructure of IDR 3,580,984,372.57.
