Although the issue of corporate culture has been taken over and addressed in the literature from various perspectives, there are very few researchers about the role of leadership and motivation in it, respectively very few researchers have addressed them as important components of the international company’s corporate culture. The present paper aims to point out that leadership and motivation can be perceived as important aspects of the international company’s corporate culture. The object of the investigation was an international company (situated in Italy) and its five subsidiaries (situated in Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, and Turkey). As the main research method, there was chosen the method of the questionnaire survey, which was attempted by all the company’s employees (totally 270 respondents). The questionnaire was divided into three separate, but logically related parts—leadership, motivation, and corporate culture, and submitted to two groups of respondents—the company’s management and its employees. In total 11 hypotheses were formulated and further evaluated by the methods of Pearson Chi-square Test, Fisher’s Exact Test, Cramer’s V coefficient, Kendall rank correlation coefficient, Eta coefficient, Spearman coefficient, Mann–Whitney U test and Wilcoxon W statistics, Kruskal–Wallis test, and Friedman’s test. The results of the research have proven that leadership and motivation are important parts of the corporate culture.

In the process of the globalization of the economy one of the biggest challenges is combating and preventing criminal activities such as the money laundering. This phenomenon affects the failure of many sectors, such as monetary and banking system, the loss of public confidence in the financial system, the problem in calculating GDP in the affected countries. Albania has been considered a 'paradise' for investing and money laundering from suspicious or illegal activities, for more than 20 years. To prevent Money Laundering is necessary to make proper legislation and the involvement of several parties, including also the accounting professionals. The purpose of this paper is to estimate the role and function performed by Albanian Chartered Auditors (CAA –EKR) and auditors of State High Control Institution against Money Laundering. We try to give answer to the main research questions as: Are the Albanian auditors involved in fighting Money Laundering? Which is the level of legislation of Albania regulated against Money Laundering? What is the role of professional body of the auditors in preventing Money Laundering? The conclusions of this paper are based on literature review and data analysis through the independent test, Chi-Square test, gathered from questionnaires designed and intended for Albanian auditors to understand practically how they face this phenomenon in Albania. We find out a negligence of the auditors in reporting ML.Typically the construction companies with Albanian capital are involved in the money laundry transactions and further research studies are recommended to be made.

An understanding of personality contributes to an understanding of organizational behavior in that we expect a predictable interplay between an individual’s personality and his or her tendency to behave in certain ways (Jacob 1995). Most organizations today must achieve high performance in the context of a competitive and complex global environment (Porter 1998). This descriptive survey correlation method of research aimed to determine whether the management foundations of secondary school heads were related to their global readiness index. The findings of this study may serve as a basis to take their strong personal characteristics as skills that should be nurtured and to take their good points as starting points to consider where and how to further pursue the development of their managerial skills and competencies. This may also serve as a feedback to work hard to grow and develop continually in the management foundations considering that their successes as 21st century managers may well rest on an initial awareness of the importance of these basic management foundations and that they must be comfortable with the global economy and the global diversity that it holds. Chi-square established that their management foundations are not significantly related to their global readiness index. Keywords – management, personal characteristics, globalization, global awareness and cultural sensitivity

This research aims to examine the relationship between social intelligence (SI) and organisational commitment (OC) among male and female managers of boys’ and girls’ schools in the two Iranian cities of Kashmar and Khalilabad. The statistical population of the study included all the managers of the aforementioned schools in two cities, with a total of 204 people based on the information received from the local education bureaus. The study is based on the correlation method. Pearson’s correlation coefficient, multiple regressions and independent t-test were carried out using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences software for data analysis. The results revealed that there was a relationship between SI and OC; meanwhile, SI could somehow predict and explain the alterations in OC. Also, there was a meaningful association between the subscale of patience and OC where patience had an impact on OC and its dimensions.   Keywords: Organisational commitment, affective commitment, continuance commitment, normative commitment, social intelligence.

The purposes of this study are to analysis and group the participations’ obstacles of users in usage management and the irrigation networks maintenance in Semnan province. It was applied research and causal-correlation method was used. The statistical population of the study consists of all farmers having used irrigation networks in the Semnan province (Garmsar and Damghan town) having a population over of 18650 and finally 255 of which answered the questions. The main instrument used for date collection was questionnaire. To determine validity, the questionnaires were given to experts and some doctorate students, and then to evaluate reliability of the questionnaires, a pretest has been done, which was on 30 random farmers of Tehran (Varamin area), the gained questionnaire’s Alpha Coefficient was %88, it shows suitable reliability of the questionnaires. the main obstacles for the farmers’ participation were political obstacles (government’s inattention to roles of non–governmental organizations, the government’s inattention to users’ ownership right, the users being’s not clear of goals of participation, the focus of the maintenance and management activities of irrigation networks by the government, The government’s inattention to role of council) which have the most share (31.12) and then economical obstacles were (not economical in the maintenance and management of irrigation networks, lack of credits necessary for programs, usage management and the irrigation networks maintenance projects having the late outcome, financial inability for participation). Psychological and personal factors (unwell physical state for participation; programs are not adaptive with the farmers’ needs) which have the least share (3.39) in explaining total variance of the participations’ obstacles of users in usage management and the irrigation networks maintenance. These 5 factors explained 66.12 of total variance of all public participation’s obstacles in the usage management and the irrigation networks maintenance.

The leader’s style affects the leader’s behavior. The leader’s behavior makes the leader’s style. Encouraging cultural and demographic diversity within an organization helps an organization achieve social responsibility goals and improving cross-cultural relations includes understanding the true meaning of appreciating demographic and cultural diversity. This descriptive survey-correlation method of research aimed to determine whether the supervisory traits of Southeast Asian educational administrators were related to their cross-cultural skills and attitudes. This study aims to provide a list of traits, essential to identify their strongest and weakest traits to set objectives and develop plans to improve their integrity, industriousness, and ability to get along with others in order for them to become successful educational administrators. This may also serve as a feedback for them to determine whether they most likely function well in a multicultural work environment, or they need to develop more cross-cultural awareness and skills to work effectively in a multicultural work environment. Chi-square established that their supervisory traits were not significantly related to their cross-cultural skills and attitudes.   Keywords - Social Science, Supervisory traits, demographic diversity, cross-cultural skills, cross-cultural attitudes, cross-cultural relations, descriptive design, Philippines, Asia

Background. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an individualized medicine by observing the symptoms and signs (symptoms in brief) of patients. We aim to extract the meaningful herb-symptom relationships from large scale TCM clinical data.Methods. To investigate the correlations between symptoms and herbs held for patients, we use four clinical data sets collected from TCM outpatient clinical settings and calculate the similarities between patient pairs in terms of the herb constituents of their prescriptions and their manifesting symptoms by cosine measure. To address the large-scale multiple testing problems for the detection of herb-symptom associations and the dependence between herbs involving similar efficacies, we propose a network-based correlation analysis (NetCorrA) method to detect the herb-symptom associations.Results. The results show that there are strong positive correlations between symptom similarity and herb similarity, which indicates that herb-symptom correspondence is a clinical principle adhered to by most TCM physicians. Furthermore, the NetCorrA method obtains meaningful herb-symptom associations and performs better than the chi-square correlation method by filtering the false positive associations.Conclusions. Symptoms play significant roles for the prescriptions of herb treatment. The herb-symptom correspondence principle indicates that clinical phenotypic targets (i.e., symptoms) of herbs exist and would be valuable for further investigations.

Purpose: Despite many researches that have been done in the field of biorhythm and due to lack of single view among scholars, as well as importance of forecasting of athletes’ performance to improve their results, the purpose of this study is to determine relationship between biorhythm (physical cycle) and sports performance of Iranian Super League women basketball players. Material: This is a descriptive-correlational study. Statistical population was women basketball players in 1394-95 women's Super League and the statistical sample included all of the players of the teams, qualified as semi-finalists (44 players). The tool, used in this research, was athletes’ performance questionnaire (Charbonneau, 2001) containing five questions by a Likert scale from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) points. Biorhythm software and descriptive tests and also inferential statistical test including Chi-Square, independent T-test and one way ANOVA at significance level of in SPSS software were used for analyzing the collected data. Results: results showed that there was no significant relationship between physical energy and performance of athletes (p = 0.85). Also the results of one way ANOVA test showed that there was no significant difference between performance of athletes at three levels (positive, negative and critical) and physical cycle (p = 0.96). The value of Chi-Square was equal to 2.63 that showed there was no significant relationship between different levels of physical cycle and the results (win or lose) of match (p = 0.026). Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that physical performance did not depend on 23-day cycle, stated in the Biorhythm theory, and there was no evidence proving existence of these cycles. It can be concluded that there is no justifying reason to use the Biorhythm software in hard exercises.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a condition where a person does not have immunity. The disease can be transmitted from pregnant women to the child they are carrying, in an effort to detect early HIV, VCT needs to be done. Karanganyar Community Health Center data in 2017 VCT service coverage for pregnant women in 2017 was less than 26.7%. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the use of VCT in pregnant women. This type of research is quantitative by using descriptive correlation method and cross sectional approach. The population is 70 pregnant women who were obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data obtained by closed questionnaire and data analyzed using frequency distribution and chi square test. The results showed knowledge about VCT examination included less (52.9%), attitudes included negative (55.7%), secondary education (52.9%), most did not work (67.1%), more than half received less support from their husbands (57.1%), and most did not utilize VCT services (72.9%). Factors related to the use of VCT are knowledge (p value 0,000), attitude (p value 0,000), education (p value 0,000) and husband's support (p value 0,000), unrelated factors are work (p value 0.196). The conclusion from this study factors related to the use of VCT are knowledge, attitudes, education and husband's support. Therefore, it is better for health workers, especially nurses, to provide nursing services to pregnant women, especially the use of VCT services as an effort in early detection of HIV in pregnant women. Keywords: Factors, Utilization of VCT Services
