This paper deals with the influence of an Intelligent Boom Control (IBC) in forwarders on the work of operators. The work with the IBC and standard system of crane control was measured by the use of a John Deere harvester and forwarder simulator. Two individuals without any practical training and two individuals with experience in the control of the crane took the measurements. The monitoring included eight different performance indicators. The use of the IBC system allowed the untrained operators to increase their work output by 27. With the use of the IBC system, these individuals also showed 53% fewer direct damages to the machine. However, our findings show that the length of experience influenced the performance of the operators out of all the monitored indicators. Notwithstanding that fact, the use of the IBC system has a direct positive influence on the economy of the machine operation.

The aim of the study is to develop a machine for preparing the soil for sowing melons under a tunnel film. The authors have developed a machine for preparing the soil for sowing melons under a tunnel film, which is equipped with deep-diggers with an inclined stand of the “paraplau” type, a furrow maker and rotary working bodies. A design diagram and a fragment of the machine operation have beak given. The basic principles and methods of classical mechanics, mathematical analysis and statistics were used in this study. Tests have established that the developed machine reliably performs the specified technological process and its performance indicators fully meet the requirements. When using the developed machine for preparing the soil for sowing melons under the film, the direct cost of processing one hectare of area is reduced by 33.4%. The study’s goal is to create a machine that prepares soil for seeding melons under a tunnel film. The authors have created a machine that includes deep-diggers with a “paraplau” style inclined platform, a furrow maker, and rotating working bodies for preparing the soil for planting melons beneath a tunnel film. A design schematic as well as a portion of the machine functioning has been provided. In this work, the fundamental concepts and methodologies of classical mechanics, mathematical analysis, and statistics were employed. The created machine reliably executes the required technical procedure, and its performance indicators completely fulfill the criteria, according to tests. The direct cost of processing one hectare of land is lowered by 33.4 percent when utilizing the developed machine to prepare the soil for growing melons beneath the film.

This article considers the features of the impact of sectional volleyball classes on the physical training of students of higher education institutions. The main conceptual approaches to improving the process of physical fitness by section volleyball classes are presented and substantiated. The main aspects and prerequisites for the development and program of volleyball classes for students of higher education institutions, which included theoretical training, practical training (general, special, technical and tactical), as well as testing of physical fitness. Based on the obtained data, practical recommendations were developed that can be used by both freelance teachers and volleyball coaches. The recommendations contain sets of physical exercises that are aimed at improving the physical qualities of students and guidelines for their use. The positive influence of the made program on indicators of a functional condition of respiratory system, and also on development of physical qualities is established. Positive significant changes were noted in the test results: long jump, flexion and extension of the arms in a supine position, running 100 m. This indicates the positive impact of volleyball on speed and strength, strength and speed.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to reveal and justify influential factors of dynamic capabilities on research organizations’ R&D and innovation performance. Design/methodology/approach Adoption of seminal D. Teece’s (1997) concept of dynamic capabilities and operationalized matrix of key performance indicators in the area of R&D and innovation allowed the construction of the strategic management model for research organizations, consequently tested by methods of statistical analysis. Findings The empirical findings reveal that there exists positive influence of the dynamic capabilities on research organizations’ R&D and innovation performance. Explicitly, sensing, seizing and re-configuring dimensions of dynamic capabilities have positive impact on R&D and innovation results; consequently, the peculiarities of their inter-dependencies are identified. Research limitations/implications Delivered research is based on the investigation of Lithuanian research organizations’ dynamic capabilities and their impact on their R&D and innovation performance. Therefore, further research could be extended to foreign countries. Practical implications The model on management of research organization’s dynamic capabilities with the aim for better R&D and innovation performance is conceptualized and specified hereinafter. In the course of the research, constructed toolkit to eventually measure research organization’s R&D and innovation performance or use it as the set of key performance indicators in the benchmarking exercise is suggested. Originality/value The paper is one of the first to suggest novel application of dynamic capabilities’ view within the domain of research organizations.

The article deals with the problematic issues of professional training of law enforcement officers who would be able to ensure reliable protection of objects and security of individuals. The analysis of security guards’ professional requirements and features of their official activity has been carried out. The method of training of security guards has been developed on the basis of systematization of knowledge, skills taking into account various modules, modular blocks in a single complex that gives the chance to the future security guard to master knowledge consistently and to provide the whole process algorithmization. On the basis of the created technique the model of security guards’ training is developed in general. The main training modules and their modular blocks are: acquisition of knowledge on the main areas of ensuring the overall organization of objects protection, which minimizes and eliminates the impact of other threats that may interfere with the normal functioning of the object; ability to provide a description of the object by external and internal characteristics; possession of a modern set of engineering and technical means of protection, including: fire-fighting modular unit, infrastructure unit, alarm system protection unit, access control and management systems, reliable modular unit, etc. The main stage of law enforcement personnel training is a formation of abilities to use protective modules in the conditions of external and internal interventions, threats etc. Actions of unauthorized entry on the object have been defined. A method of detecting factual intrusion (attempt) into the area of the protected object is provided. Examples of psychotic behavior of the offender are considered in the training process. The table shows the potential ability of the offender to act depending on the motivation level of emotional preparedness that correlates with his/her actions. The positive influence of the proposed innovations on the level of theoretical and practical training of future security guards has been revealed. The experiment confirmed the effectiveness of security guards training method based on the modular design system of object protection.

The purpose of this research is to know the influence between the Quality of Human Resources, Utilization of Information Technology and Internal Control System Against Timeliness of Village Government Financial Reporting at Gunungkidul Regency. This research is causative research. The population is the village government in Gunungkidul Regency, especially in Gedangsari subdistrict. Criteria of respondents in the study were to village and village apparatus. We use questionnaire to collect data. We use multiple regression with SPSS program version 16.0 to analyze data. We find that quality of human resources and internal control system have a positive influence on the timeliness of village government financial reporting. On the other hand, utilization of information technology does not influence the timeliness of village government financial reporting. These imply that the quality of human resources and internal control system can speed up the preparation of village government financial reporting.

The article discusses possible forms of educational STEM projects in the field of electronics and device control using Arduino controllers. As you know, the implementation of such STEM projects can be carried out not only using various electronic constructors, but also using virtual modeling environments. The knowledge obtained during modeling in virtual environments makes it possible to increase the efficiency of face-to-face practical training with a real constructor, and to improve the quality of students’ knowledge. The use of virtual modeling environments in combination with the use of real constructors provides links between distance and full-time learning. A real constructors can be used simultaneously by both the teacher and the student, jointly practicing the features of solving practical problems. The article provides examples of using a virtual environment for preliminary prototyping of circuits available in the documentation for electronic constructors, to familiarize students with the basics of designing and assembling electronic circuits using the surface mounting method and on a breadboard, as well as programming controllers on the Arduino platform that control electronic devices. This approach allows students to accelerate the assimilation of various interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of natural sciences using STEM design.
