The article presents the results of a number of studies on the causative agents of the associated form of pig gastrointestinal diseases. At present, it is a strategic direction in addressing the issue of providing the population of various latitudes with livestock products that meets all the requirements of  EFSA. Pig production has its development and is becoming a promising industry on this issue. One of the significant veterinary dilemmas that reduce the efficiency of technological processes in breeding and raising pigs, there are still diseases of young animals associated with disruption of the gastrointestinal tract. In many countries where pig breeding is developed, this issue comes first because the manifestation of pathological processes in the body of piglets, at an early stage of their development, leads to reinvestment of a healthy livestock in this industry. Monitoring of research results over the past years, not only in our country, but also beyond its borders, shows that abiotices stress factors of the environment contribute to the reduction of nonspecific resistance of the organism of piglets. Diseases caused by pathogens of an infectious nature are closely interconnected with the body and environmental factors. Despite the fact that specific treatment methods aimed at eliminating the diarrhea syndrome of newborn piglets, the safety of the livestock remains one of the most acute problems in veterinary medicine. A lot of ascertaining data on the role of Escherichia Coli and Salmonella in infectious diseases of young animals makes it possible to develop systems of measures to combat these diseases, to widely use individual chemotherapeutic drugs, their combinations to determine effectiveness.

The features of fractional distribution of plasma proteins in rats with Escherichia coli at different stages of infection are established. It was studied the effect of hypobiosis on the proteinogramma under and after artificial sleep too. Artificial hypobiosis is important for therapeutic use at bacterial infection and proteinogramma is informatively significant as a diagnostic element of the functional changes provoked by a hypobiosis. We used the nephelometric method. Experiments were performed on young rats with Escherichia coli, in a state of hypobiosis and one day after leaving it. It was established the infection provoked changes in plasma proteins such as increasing globulins and decreasing albumin at the beginning of the disease and the opposite trend during the period of total depletion. The introduction of sick animals into a state of hypobiosis causes an increase in nonspecific resistance of the organism level due to an increase in the content of γ-globulin fraction and a decrease in the level of albumin, which increases the survival of animals after removal from hypobiosis. Indicators of the proteinogram of blood of animals that were introduced into the state of hypobiosis at the initial stage of the disease and the stage of progressive symptoms return to control values on the first day after the elimination of hypobiosis factors. Further research should be aimed at a comprehensive study of functional changes in the body according to the proposed model.

Relevance. Immune-mediated inflammation of various genesis plays a significant pathogenetic role in autoimmune, allergic, inflammatory and infectious diseases. The objective of the work was a comparative study of the functional status and pathways of cell death of natural and adaptive immunity in mice under the conditions of experimental hyperimmunocomplexemia and endotoxemia to identify the features and common cellular mechanisms of these pathologies. Materials and methods. Hyperimmunocomplexemia was simulated by six-fold immunization of female mice with increasing doses of the antigen, bovine serum albumin (BSA), once a week; the endotoxemia model was induced by the administration of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Results. The use of both BSA and LPS led to a systemic inflammatory process with significant neutrophilia with a shift of the leukogram to the left. There was a significant increase in the functional and metabolic activity of nonspecific resistance cells. Genotoxic stress was observed in thymus cells and lymph nodes with significant DNA damage, decreased viability, and a significant increase in necrotic death. Violation of the plasma membrane integrity of primary alteration and the release of the cellular content outside has a strong pro-inflammatory and immunogenic effect, which can lead to further intensification of the disease and an increase in its duration with a tendency to chronicity of the pathological process. Conclusions. Thus, both models are characterized by the development of immune-inflammatory processes that lead to significant DNA damage and cell death, which can cause a new round of intensification of necrotic, inflammatory and autoimmune reactions in the body.

The use of «Arkusit» at a dose of 20 μg / kg of body weight indicates a beneficial effect on the factors of nonspecific resistance of the silver-black fox. The concentration of alkaline phosphatase in the blood serum in the experimental group decreased by 1.8 times (P <0.001), the ALT index - by 1.2 (P <0.05). The concentration of glucose in the experimental group increased 2 times (P <0.05) compared with the control group. In animals of the experimental group, the lysozyme activity of blood serum increased 1.3 times (P <0.05), the OPR reaction and the phagocytic index - 1.4 times (P <0.05), the bactericidal activity of blood serum - 1.8 times (P <0.05). «Arcusit» stimulates the synthesis of gamma globulins, increases the opsonophagocytic, bactericidal activity of blood serum. Thus, the analysis of experimental data indicates that the drug «Arcusit» has a pronounced immunostimulating effect, providing the activation of factors of nonspecific resistance of the body of the silver-black fox.

The article presents the results of studies on the use of a feed additive containing live sporeforming bacteria Bacillus subtilis and live yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, sorbed on activated carbon particles, to pregnant cows for the formation of immunoglobulins in the body and their isolation in colostrum, as well as for the nonspecific resistance of the resulting calves. The experiments were conducted in the winter-spring period, when the body of cows and calves contains a reduced level of nutrients, immunoglobulins and other biologically active substances, which leads to inhibition of the function of both nonspecific resistance factors and specific immunity. It was found that the feed additive had a positive effect on the physiological and biochemical parameters of calves. In the colostrum of cows of the experimental groups, relative to the animals of the control group, the content of immunoglobulins was 36.4% higher. Calves whose mothers received a feed additive for 30 days at a dose of 20 g per head before calving had higher indicators of total protein, albumins, globulins and factors of nonspecific resistance, such as bactericidal and lysozyme activity of blood serum, phagocytic activity of neutrophils.

In recent decades, the loss of newborn calves occurs mainly from non-infectious diseases. It is established that in the process of growth and development, especially after birth, the animal has to experience the action of anthropogenic environmental factors that cause various kinds of adaptive reactions of the body. Currently, probiotic drugs are increasingly evaluated not only for their antimicrobial action but also for the characteristics of the impact on the body and its microbiota in the development of the need to strengthen the immune response, in the treatment and treatment of calf diarrhoea. It should be noted that in the modern world, a special place is occupied by studies of lactic acid bacteria associated with the development of biological products with probiotic function. The article presents the results of studying the therapeutic and prophylactic effect of the probiotic drug "Lactobacterin-TK2" in gastrointestinal diseases of newborn calves and its effect on the immune and biological status. According to the results of the study, it was found that daily feeding of the probiotic drug "Lactobacterin-TK2" to newborn calves from the moment of birth 2 times a day for 10 days increases the nonspecific resistance of the body and the safety of calves. Haematological and biochemical analysis of experimental groups of calves showed a faster normalisation of the level of alkaline phospha-tase, glucose, urea, magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus, which also indicates a complete recovery.

Currently, it is important in aquaculture to study and use products and additives, which have positive effects on the digestibility of nutrients by helping to normalize the intestinal microflora, thereby modulating fish immune response. The aim of the study was to assess the effect of a prebiotic based on mannan oligosaccharides produced from the outer walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells on the histological structure, morphometric state of the intestine and activity of cellular and humoral components of nonspecific resistance of age -2+ carp. The experiment was conducted in four analogous ponds, which were stocked with age-1 scaly carp with an average weight of 55–58 g with a stocking density of 1000 fish/ha. Carp had been fed balanced compound feed for 60 days. Experimental groups of fish were fed with a prebiotic as a feed additive in the amount of: 0.025 % – Experiment 1, 0.05 % – Experiment 2 and 0.075 % – Experiment 3. Use of the studied prebiotic did not damage the intestinal histological structure of carp of the experimental groups. The villi height and intestinal crypt depth of carp in Experiment 1 (P < 0.05) and Experiment 2 (P < 0.01) were larger compared to the control group. Experiment 3 showed destructive changes in intestinal mucosa. The results of histological examination indicated the effectiveness of the use of the studied prebiotic in the amount of 0.025 and 0.05 % in the diet of age -1+ carp due to the absence of pathological changes and active morphofunctional state of the intestine, which, in turn, had a positive effect on feed absorption and metabolic processes in fish body. Analysis of the indicators of cellular and humoral links of natural resistance showed that in carp of the second and third experimental groups lysozyme activity of serum was 5 and 11 % (P < 0.001) higher than in the control group. Similar changes, though found in a greater extent, were recorded in the study of bactericidal activity of blood serum, especially in individuals of the second and third experimental groups (by 6.8 (P < 0.01) and 15.2 %). While with carps of the third experimental group, which used a prebiotic drug in the amount of 0.075 %, the content of CEC was 20.5 % higher than in the control group, which indicates an additional antigenic load on the body and is an unfavorable diagnostic factor. At the same time, with the fish of the second experimental group, which received, respectively, 0.05 % of the supplement of the drug “Actigen” to the main diet, probably higher phagocytic activity of blood neutrophils was recorded. A direct dependence of the growth of the phagocytic index and the phagocytic number of neutrophils on the dose of the studied prebiotic was detected. Immunological studies indicated a dose-dependent effect of the prebiotic on the activity of cellular and humoral components of non-specific resistance of carp. Given this, for the effective functioning of innate protective mechanisms, for the increase of the body's immune potential and productivity, it is most appropriate to apply to the diet of carp prebiotic supplement “Actigen” in the amount of 0.025 and 0.05 %.

Research materials on the use of herbal infusions for the correction of weaning stress in piglets, as well as the complex use of natural products as stress correctors are presented in the article. Infusions of medicinal plants from the leaves of nettle, plantain, rose hips and rowan were used to normalize metabolism and increase the overall immunological resistance of the body. They are distinguished by good tolerance, very rare development of negative side reactions, even with prolonged use. It has been experimentally established that the adaptogenic effect of infusions of nettle, plantain, wild rose and rowan is manifested by an increase in the general nonspecific resistance of the animal body due to the effect on the stress-limiting systems of the body. As a result of the studies carried out, it was found that the use of medicinal plants had a positive effect on the use of feed nutrients by animals and a change in the live weight of pigs. The complex use of natural remedies contributed to an increase in the growth rate of young animals and, ultimately, to an increase in their preservation and productivity. The use of rose hip infusions 20 days before weaning of piglets from sows turned out to be the most effective in terms of preservation, growth and additional income when growing piglets.

Productive insemination of cows against the background of heat detection or synchronization of the estrous cycle within a relatively short time after the previous calving is the main factor that determines the productivity and profitability of dairy cattle breeding. Many obstetric and gynecological diseases often occur in the first 2 months of lactation. Postpartum obstetric and gynecological diseases of cows impair their reproductive qualities, which leads to prolonged anestrus, decreased fertility, and depletion of the body. Inflammatory processes of the female reproductive organs are accompanied by enhanced stress. The research aims to prevent diseases of the postpartum period and realize the potential of the reproductive qualities of cows by activating the nonspecific resistance of the organism with the Prevention-N-B-S biological preparation. Based on the performed studies, a method for the prevention of obstetric-gynecological diseases of the postpartum period and an increase in the reproductive function of cows by increasing the nonspecific resistance of the body with the biological Prevention-N-B-S is proposed. The newly designed biological preparation was for the first time used in cows of the 2nd experimental group intramuscularly at a dose of 10 ml 35-30, 15-10, and 10-5 days before the expected calving time, and the animals of the 1st experimental group were injected with Dorogov's antiseptic stimulator of fraction 2 in combination with eleovitum in a ratio of 1:9 60 days before the scheduled calving dates. It was found that in cows of the 2nd trial group (28.8±0.56 days), the first estrus began 5.8 and 14.4 days earlier than in the mates of the 1st trial group (34.6±0.93 days) and control (43.2±1.64 days) groups. There was a decrease in the conception rate in cows of the 1st (1.8±0.24) and 2nd (1.4±0.36) trial groups, in comparison with the control (2.6±0.26). The service period in the 1st (64.6±1.62 days) and 2nd (57.8±1.50 days) experimental groups decreased compared to the control group (89.2±3.02 days). In the first sexual estrus in the control, 1st and 2nd experimental groups, 2, 4, and 6 cows have become fertile, respectively. The use of biological in the critical periods of cow pregnancy reduced the risks of uterine subinvolution, endometritis, and mastitis in the postpartum period, and also increased the reproductive qualities of cows. The most expressed corresponding effect was obtained when using the biological preparation Prevention-N-B-S.

This study examined the immunity dynamics of bovine brucellosis-complicated leukemia, as well as the efficacy of treatment with betulin. Blood serum samples were taken from cows with specific brucellosis antibodies and bovine leukemia virus antibodies based on the results of complex diagnostic studies. Animals (n = 5) selected based on serological studies were injected subcutaneously with betulin-PEG three times with an interval of 7 days at a dose of 10 mg/kg. Blood was taken for hematological and immunological studies before the injection, and after the first, second and third injections. It was found that leukemia and brucellosis infections were accompanied by a significant increase in the number of leukocytes and lymphoid cells, as well as strong fluctuations in the leukocyte functional and metabolic activity parameters (from insignificant in some individual animals to significantly increased in others). Immunological restructuring of the body after triplicate administration of betulin-PEG was characterized by the restoration of the number of lymphoid cells to the level of clinically healthy animals, as well as a significant increase in the functional and metabolic activity of the neutrophilic granulocytes, especially their oxygen-dependent systems. Based on the results, the product is recommended as an effective means to restrain the leukemia process that is complicated with associated infection, as well as to use for seronegative animals in order to increase nonspecific resistance to BLV infection. Keywords: leukemia, brucellosis, cattle, immune status, betulin, immunocorrection, associated infection
