As a result of the researchers found a positive effect of new feed additive on the growth rate, the qualitative indicators of meat fattening. It was found that the effect of feed additives on the productivity increased with increasing doses of feed additives from 100 to 300 g per head. Thus, at the age of 18 months, the bulls of the first experimental group surpassed the control analogues by 3.86, the second – by 5.53 and the third – by 6.42% and the average daily increase by 7.50, 11.63 and 12.45%, respectively. On the basis of the control of the slaughter was revealed that the weight of the paired carcasses in calves from the experimental group was higher than that of peers, not consuming the Supplement, of 5.82-of 9.91%, and their output is up 0.09 to 0.86 percent. At the output of the pulp of the bulls of the experimental groups exceeded the control analogues by 0.72-1.05%. The meat index of their carcasses was, respectively, higher by 0.25-0.36. In average the sample of the flesh of the carcasses of young animals who consumed the study Supplement contained more protein compared with the control 0,28-0,57% fat, respectively 0,68-1,19%. The influence of feed additive and on the content of amino acids in meat was revealed. Thus, essential amino acid tryptophan in the longest muscle of the back of the bulls of the experimental groups was higher by 1.58 – 2.87% and protein quality index-higher by 0.37-0.63. The flesh of the carcasses of calves of the experimental groups had higher technological properties. The moisture-retaining ability of their longest back muscle was higher than that of analogues of the control, by 2,05-2,22%, the fading – lower by 2,04-2,41%. In the body of young cattle, consuming feed additive, protein was postponed more than in control, by 8,67-14,85% and fat – respectively by 11,96-21,44%. The conversion rate of protein they were higher by 0.78-0.86%, energy - respectively 0.67-1.06%. The level of profitability of beef production in the experimental groups was higher than in control at 4, 18-of 1.29%.

At the current stage of development of the feed industry a lot of feed additives are used for animal feeding. Everyone knows that period of piglet’s weaning from sows is always the most critical in the process of pigs’ raising. The further result of fattening depends on this period. Therefore, it is important that the diet is adapted to the age of the piglets and the development of their digestive tract. In recent years, either in the world or in Ukraine, the African swine fever (ASF) has become a widespread disease, leading to the decline and closure of a number of pig farms. This prompted the process of safe feed preparation review, and especially the use of a number of make up feed ingredient. The risk group includes porcine blood plasma and its products, which since 2018 have been temporarily banned for use in pig feed in China and a number of European countries. A positive factor in this is the reduction of new outbreaks of this disease. But the lack of blood plasma in prestarter feed for piglets can lead to reduced productivity of piglets due to the lack of animal protein, reduced feed intake, as blood plasma affects the taste of feed. The article presents the results of the feed additive Globigen Jump Start use instead of blood plasma in pre-starter feed for piglets from birth to 42 days of age and in the conditions of industrial inspection. It was found that the replacement of , blood plasma in pre-starter feed for suckling piglets and piglets after weaning for feed additive Globigen Jump Start contributed to an increase in daily intake by 6 g or by 2.6 %. At the same time, the cost of feed per weight gain 1 kg decreased in the experimental group by 7.89 %. As a result of industrial testing when replacing blood plasma with immunological feed additive in the ratio of 42 kg to 2 kg, respectively, has a significant economic impact on the cost of prestarter feed. This has a positive effect on the piglets' eating and digestibility of feed, which is reflected in better average daily gains, final weight and improved feed conversion and piglet safety.

It has been established that the level of blood parameters in the body of sheep is not always stable and often depends on the breed, sex, their physiological state, the level of productivity, feeding and housing conditions. Among the factors that determine the optimal sheep nutritional level, not the last place is occupied by their provision with a sufficient amount of essential amino acids, especially lysine, methionine, cystine, and vitamins, given their physiological importance for the animal body. The overwhelming amount of them is able to be synthesized in the sheep rumen with the help of microorganisms of the gastrointestinal tract, however, some of them are irreplaceable, that is, those whose balance must be replenished through feed rations. The article describes the use of the vitamin-amino acid complex "Аlphabet for Animals" in sheep, containing a complex of fat-and water-soluble vitamins, as well as amino acids, which contribute to the normalization of metabolism in the body of small ruminants, increase its resistance, have a positive effect on productivity, safety and reproductive animals functions. During the research, the effect of this feed additive on hemocytopoiesis and the exchange of essential micronutrients in ewes were studied. After a double use of the additive, an increase in the processes of erythrocytopoiesis was established, as evidenced by an increase in the number of blood erythrocytes by 21.2% and the hemoglobin content by 11.2%, stabilization of the size and degree of saturation of erythrocytes with hemoglobin, as evidenced by a decrease in MCH and MCV indices. There were no significant changes in the content of essential micronutrients in the blood serum of sheep under the influence of the "Alphabet for Animals", and a slight increase of zinc content in the blood was noted in sheep after the second injection of the drug. At the same time, in the blood of experimental animals group a significant increase the iron content on average up to 129.5±7.33 μg/100 ml (p<0.05) was established, and the number of animals with a low amount of blood iron was only 12.5 %. The number of leukocytes in the sheep blood of both groups was within the normal range and during the second and third blood tests did not change significantly. Key words: sheep, feeding, feed additives, amino acids, vitamins, hemocytopoiesis, essential micronutrients.

The effectiveness of forest resources depends on the comprehensiveness and rationality of their consumption and processing into finished products. This article discusses the problem of using solid fir wood greenery residues generated during the industrial production of essential oils. Bioconversion is considered to be the most promising use. The objective of this research was to study the chemical composition of bioconversion products of fir wood greenery-based substrates. The РР-3.2 strain of Pleurotus pulmonarius (Fr.) Quél was used as a biodestructor. In the process of bioconversion, the contents of polysaccharides and lignin substances is reduced to 38% and 28%, respectively. Up to 20% of protein accumulates in bioconversion products of fir wood greenery. The amount of nucleic acids is not more than 1.5 g per kg; the contents of heavy metals, such as mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and lead, do not exceed the maximum permissible concentration standards. The substrate weight loss reaches 15%. When fallen leaves and post-extraction poplar bud residues are added to the substrate, the substrate-destroying activity of fungi increases, and the protein content increases by 3%. The digestibility of products as a result of bioconversion increases 1.6–2.8 times depending on the substrate composition. The obtained data support the recommendation of post-fermented substrates based on fir wood greenery and balsam poplar biomass for use as a protein feed additive.

The effects of chitosan on various metabolic and digestive processes in the animal body are an important to study because of the production quality for animal nutrition, healthcare, etc. The major known changes in the biochemical parameters of the animal liquids (by chitosan usage as feed additive) are the following: ratio of volatile and fatty acids, content of fat, mineral composition, etc. The aim of this study was to evaluate the total amount of water-soluble antioxidants (TAWSA) of feed additives based on chitosan and high protein concentrate of microbiological synthesis and to assess the effect of these feed additives on TAWSA values of sheep blood serum by amperometric method. Firstly, the antioxidant activity of feed components based on chitosan or/and a high-protein microbiological synthesis concentrate was studied in this work. Second, the experiments are carried out on 6 fistula animals to confirm the results of laboratory studies. Third, the determination of the total antioxidant activity of sheep blood by using chitosan additives (as the feed components) by amperometric method was carried out. A particular difference in antioxidant activity of the control and experimental samples of the sheep blood was established for the first time.

The paper presents the study on an impact of feed additives Peak anti-stress and SPAO (SPAO-complex) with different lithium content on meat productivity and meat quality of broiler chickens. The feed additives exert a pronounced metabolic effect, have adaptogen properties and allow forming a mechanism that facilitates compensation of the expenditure of the body, which significantly increases upon stress development. It was established that the average daily gain of the broiler chickens increased by 1.8% and 4.3% on the background of using SPAO-complex and Peak anti-stress, respectively, compared to the broiler chickens that did not receive the feed additives in the daily diet. It was shown that addition of feed additives with lithium into a diet led to an improvement of the indices of broiler meat productivity and meat quality: a level of yield of the carcasses of the 1st category increased up to 56.2–79.1%, high organoleptic indices of meat were ensured, the protein content in white and red chicken meat increased and functional-technological properties of minced meat improved. The use of feed additives ensured profitability of industrial poultry production; the highest indices of profitability were established upon introduction of the feed additive Peak anti-stress into a diet — up to 8.67 rubles per each ruble of expenses. The obtained results of the study should be taken into consideration in the technological processes when raising broiler chickens.

To improve the adaptation of the pancreatic microflora to changes in the diets of calves and for the rational use of feed, in intensive cultivation, it is desirable to change the composition of feed probiotic supplements according to the age of the animals. Each age group of calves responds differently to live weight gain on probiotic feed additives. Feed supplement Immunobacterin-D containing Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis has a positive effect on natural resistance, increases the average daily gain and has a preventive effect on diseases of the digestive tract of calves. But for 2 months of continuous feeding can cause suppression of natural resistance of some animals. When baker's yeast is added to the feed additive (B. subtilis, B. licheniformis 1 × 1010 CFU / g, Sascharomyces cerevisiae 1 × 109 CFU / g), the dry form of the product makes it possible to feed it with compound feed. The use of immunobacterin-D with yeast in 3-month-old calves in experimental animals in the clinical examination for fatness and coat condition looked better. Calves of the experimental group during this period added in increments of 276 g in the previous month, the arithmetic mean of the average daily gain of live weight was 820 ± 180 g, and in the current 1096 ± 90 g, which indicates a positive effect of yeast (especially live) on the productivity of calves at this age. For studies on heifers in a farm with lower average daily gains in live weight, we received a smaller percentage increase in gains with the use of feed probiotic supplement Immunobacterin-D with baker's yeast. When adding to the feed additives at a dose of 40 g and 20 g to heifers 350–400 kg live weight of the animal had an average daily gain of live weight in the first group of 500 ± 17 g, in the second 440 ± 30 g, and in the control 414 ± 12 g, which is 20.8 and 6.3 % more than in the control group. The use of yeast in feed additives confirms the pattern of increasing the percentage of additional average daily gain. That is, with higher average daily gains, we get a higher percentage of additional growth from feeding a probiotic feed additive containing baker's yeast.

This study examined the effect of feed additives based on brown coal on the productivity indicators of laying hens. The Relict A® organo-mineral feed additive for livestock and poultry is a multi-component, gummatized product with a wide range of biological activity, accelerating the growth and development of the animal. Relict A® is an environmentally friendly supplement that does not contain hormones or synthetic compounds. The control group was fed complete feed without additives. The second, third and fourth groups were fed feed containing 0.04%, 0.06% and 0.10% of the studied additives, respectively. The amount of feed for each group of laying hens was strictly normalized in accordance with their age, according to the recommendations for this cross. The use of the Relict A® feed additive in the laying hens’ rations led to an increase in the average number of eggs per laying hen, a decrease in the cost of feed for producing 1 dozen eggs, and a reduction in the time when the poultry reached the peak egg laying intensity. Feeding the additive to laying hens reduced the cost of producing 1 dozen eggs in the experimental groups, and also increased the profitability of chicken eggs in comparison with the control. The best dose was to use 0.06% of Relict A® by weight of the feed. A 26.6% increase in laying hen egg production was found. Keywords: feed additives, laying hens, egg productivity, brown coal
