Abstract _____________________________________________________________ At present there are many teaching techniques derived from games which are then applied in the field of teaching, one of which is the Scrambel technique. Through this game the students compete to compile the vocabulary of the letters that have been randomized. This study uses a type of quasi-experimental research. The research design used in this study was "One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design", namely the design of the study that had a pretest before being treated and posttest after being treated. But after using the Scrambel technique in the experimental class, the post test results were different. Based on the results of t-paired calculations obtained data results from t arithmetic = 0.002. Whereas for sig. t paired for N = 13 and degrees of freedom (db) N-1 = 12 is 0.05. That means that the results of t count are smaller than sig. t paired. Based on the results of these data, it can be concluded that the Scrambel technique is proven to improve mastery of Japanese vocabulary in 5th semester students of BSI Akpar Bandung. From these results it can be seen that the Scrambel technique can improve mastery of Japanese vocabulary so that it can be used as an alternative to vocabulary learning.   Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Saat ini banyak sekali teknik-teknik mengajar yang berasal dari permainan-permainan yang kemudian diterapkan dalam bidang pengajaran, salah satunya yaitu teknik Scrambel. Melalui permainan ini para mahasiswa berlomba untuk menyusun kosakata dari huruf-huruf yang telah diacak susunannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah “One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design”, yaitu desain penelitian yang terdapat pretest sebelum diberi perlakuan dan posttest setelah diberi perlakuan. Tetapi setelah menggunakan teknik Scrambel pada kelas eksperimen, hasil post test menjadi berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan t-paired diperoleh data hasil dari t hitung = 0,002. Sedangkan untuk sig. t paired untuk N = 13 dan derajat kebebasan (db) N-1 = 12 adalah 0,05. Hal itu berarti bahwa hasil dari t hitung lebih kecil daripada sig. t paired. Berdasarkan hasil data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik Scrambel terbukti dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Jepang mahasiswa semester 5 Akpar BSI Bandung. Dari hasil tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa teknik Scrambel dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Jepang sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran kosakata.

The present study was designed to specifically compare two methods of presenting the alphabet in Iranian guidance schools (an equivalent for middle school in other countries), namely pre-instruction and while-instruction to see if any of them is more successful in learners' alphabet learning.To this end, a quasi-experimental research design with two experimental groups including a pre-test and a post-test was set.The existing four intact classes were randomly assigned as two groups of pre-instruction(N=47)and while-instruction (N=43) experimental groups.Both groups followed alphabet learning process for six months. One of the researcherswas the teacher of the two groups and taught the alphabet through pre-instruction presentation to the first experimental group, andthrough while-instruction to the second experimental group. By accomplishing the treatment, the post-test was given to both groups. The results of independet-samples t-test indicated that while-instruction method for teaching alphaebt was much more beneficial than pre-instruciton. Language teachers can benefit from this finding in their elementary classes.

This article proposes a theory of direct and indirect inf luences of the Olympic Games on international tourism behavior and presents test results of the theory using a quasi-experimental research design and visitor exit data (n = 3,875 useable surveys). Key finding: among prior visitors to Australia, the share searching for information nearly doubles (from 30 to 59 per cent) in comparing visitors reporting no change in awareness to substantial increase in awareness of Australia as a vacation destination due to hosting the Olympics. Conclusion: hosting international mega-events may result in substantial increases in activities and expenditures by visitors but such impacts occur through increases in visitors' search for information.

The current study aimed to investigate the effects of proving instructions in L2 listening activities on the participants’ performance in the classroom and the participants’ views regarding the use of L1. The study included 48 students in the preparatory classes in the School of Foreign languages, at a state university in Turkey. Through the post-test, only quasi-experimental research design, the participants’ performance was compared in classes with L1 and L2 instructions in the listening activities. The results indicated that the participants in the experimental group scored higher than those in the control group who were exposed to L2 instructions.

This research aimed at verifying the effectiveness of using ELSA Speak Application in enhancing students’ pronunciation skills. It applied a quantitative method. Specifically, it used a pre-experimental research design. The population was the English study program students of STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang. The sample was the first semester students in the academic year 2018/ 2019. It was chosen through purposive sampling technique by considering that the sample took the pronunciation course at that time. The data were collected through pre-test and post-test which was conducted using the recording. The data attained were analyzed statistically. The result shows that the pre-test means the score is 1.96 while the post-test mean score is 5.79 by applying 0.05 level of significance with 29 degrees of freedom (29), the t-test 6.28 was higher than the t-table 1.699. It indicated that the use of ELSA Speak application is effective in enhancing the pronunciation skill of the first semester students of STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang.

Self disclosure is one of the important things that students must have because self- disclosure can encourage students to develop themselves, achieve, and have a good friendship environment. However, not many students have good self-disclosure, especially in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Pangkah. This problem can be overcome by providing group counseling to students who have self-disclosure problems. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling in increasing self-disclosure in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Pangkah. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design in the form of one-group pretest-postest. The population studied was all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pangkah with a research sample of 8 students of class VIII who had low to moderate levels of self-disclosure. This research is to know the effects of the use of short film animation as media for teaching writing descriptive text for 7thgrade students at Junior High School. The method that used in this study was Quasi-Experimental, which are conducted an experimental class and control class. Based on the results of statistical calculations, the average score in the experimental class the pre-test value is lower than the post-test. Meanwhile, in the control class the average pre-test and post-test results were still as low. The t-test results showed that the tv value was higher than the table (3.80> 1,999) with 62 degrees of freedom and a significance level of 5%. That is, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. So, the use of animated short films gives effect in writing descriptive text.

AbstractMorbidity of diarrhea diseases in developing countries is a public healthconcern because the prevalence is still high particularly for children under five years. 207 children recorded had the diarrhea in Pekapuran Raya.This study aims to know the benefits of model approach of education of the mother community (EMC), particularly to the mother'sknowledge on prevention of diarrhea. Quasi-experimental research design one group pre-post test design conducted on 38 mother that have children under five years in Pekapuran Raya Subdistrict of Banjarmasin. The results of pre-test and post-test shows that there is understanding increased the mothers for prevention of diarrhea afterpromotion using model approach of education of the mother community(p <0,05). Mastery of Arabic vocabulary is the main key to success in learning Arabic. By using media as a bridge in distributing material, it will change the mindset of students who think learning Arabic is difficult to understand. At MI Muhammadiyah Sribit, the conventional Arabic learning process inspired researchers to conduct experimental research on the use of word hoop game media to know the differences in students' Arabic vocabulary mastery between the experimental class and the control class. This study uses a quasi-experimental research type with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were students of class IV A as the experimental class and students of class IV B as the control class. The process of collecting data using test results, observations, and interviews was then analyzed using the paired-sample t-test and independent-sample t-test with the help of SPSS. From the results of the study, it was found that the results of the application of game media in learning Arabic can improve students' vocabulary mastery. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test, the posttest significance value in the experimental class was 0.008 < 0.05, and the posttest value in the control class was 0.009 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the mastery of Arabic vocabulary for the experimental class and the control class. Abstrak: Penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab merupakan kunci utama keberhasilan dalam belajar bahasa Arab. Dengan menggunakan media sebagai jembatan dalam pendistribusian materi, maka akan merubah pola pikir siswa yang menganggap pembelajaran bahasa Arab sulit untuk dipahami. Di MI Muhammadiyah Sribit proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab konvensional menginspirasi peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian eksperimental penggunaan media permainan word hoop untuk mengetahui perbedaan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil tes, observasi, dan wawancara kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan dan uji t sampel independen dengan bantuan SPSS. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa hasil penerapan media game dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa. Berdasarkan hasil uji independent sample t-test diperoleh nilai signifikansi posttest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,008 < 0,05 , dan nilai posttest pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,009 < 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.

AbstractThe research is aimed to investigate whether there is an effect of the Boggle game on vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students at MTs. Nurul Hikmah. The design used was quasi-experimental method with Nonequivalent control group design. The subject of population in this research is seventh-grade students of MTs Nurul Hikmah. The sample of this research were 60 students, who were classified into 30 students of experimental class and 30 students of controlled class. The technique of collecting data with used the research instrument was a test consisting of a pre-test and post-test. The results of thisresearch stated that the used of Boggle games in learning vocabulary affected students' vocabulary mastery. This can be seen from the t-test results of pre-test and post-test at a significance level of 5% (0.05) alpha and degrees of freedom of 2.00, where the t-count of pre-test is higher than the t-table (2.03 > 2.00) with the average pre-test score of the experimental class was higher than the average pre-test score of the control class (49.47 > 42.60) and the t-count of post-test is higher than the t-table (5.75> 2.00) with the average post-test score of the experimental class was higher than the average pre-test score of the control class (83.50 > 73.10). It can be concluded that there is significant effect of Boggle game on the seventh grade students’ vocabulary mastery at MTs. Nurul Hikmah. It means that the Boggle game is effective in learning vocabulary mastery for the seventh-grade students of MTs Nurul Hikmah. By using the Boggle game, the teaching and learning process becomes more interesting. Key words: Boggle Game, Vocabulary Mastery.

<p><em>This research was conducted at TK Islam Ibnu Qoyyim, Medan Selayang District. Tthe type of research is experimental research with uses Quasi Experimental Designs. This study aims to determine the influence of Maria Montessori's learning model on the discipline of children in TK Islam Ibnu Qoyyim. The results showed that the Montessori learning model had an effect on the discipline of group A children. The results of the pretest class were 9.3 and the post-test average was 16.80 with the highest post-test 20 and the lowest post-test 12. Class control with an average pre test 9.7 and the average post test 11.7 with the highest value 16 and the lowest value 7. The results of hypothesis testing obtained t count&gt; t table is 18.31&gt; 2.048 with significant numbers. Thus the hypothesis Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted so that it is stated that there is a Significant Effect of Maria Montessori's Learning Model on the Discipline of Group A Children 4-5 Years Old in the TK Islam Ibnu Qoyyim.</em><em></em></p>
