How do cooperative activities affect the acquisition of social skills by adolescent rapists? This is the question that prompted this study conducted at the Centre d'Observation des Mineurs (COM) in Bouaké. The objective is to evaluate the influence of cooperative activities on the acquisition of social skills by adolescents deprived of their liberty. The main hypothesis postulates that "the more delinquent children engage in cooperative activities, the more social skills they acquire''. The theoretical anchor of this study is an interactionist model that draws on Vygotsky and Brunner's social interactionism and the theory of social interdependence of Deutsch's (1949, 1962). To collect the data, we used the comparative method and the techniques of observation structured around three grids and documentary research. The main results obtained reveal that cooperative activities influence social behaviors, the adoption of responsible behaviors and finally, the ability to work in teams of the subjects from time T1 to time T2. These results confirm the general hypothesis formulated in the sense that they established that cooperation is a tool of "social facilitation to designate the positive effect of the group, on the acquisitions of the people constituting it".

During a global pandemic, the great impact of populist discourse on the construction of social reality is undeniable. This study analyzes the fantasmatic dimension of political discourse from Donald Trump’s and Jair Bolsonaro’s Twitter accounts between 1 March and 31 May. To do so, it applies a Clause-Based Semantic Text Analysis (CBSTA) methodology that categorizes speech in Subject-Verb-Object (SVO) triplets. The study findings show that in spite of the Coronavirus pandemic, the main beatific and horrific subjects remain the core populist signifiers: the people and the elite. While Bolsonaro’s narrative was predominantly beatific, centered on the government, Trump’s was mostly horrific, centered on the elite. Trump signified the pandemic as a subject and an enemy to be defeated, whereas Bolsonaro portrayed it as a circumstance. Finally, both leaders defined the people as working people, therefore their concerns about the pandemic were focused on the people’s ability to work.

Introduction: Fasting during Ramadan involves large changes in daily eating   patterns which strongly impacts the daily biorhythm, and challenges the regular function of the digestive tract. In the UAE, more than seven out of ten children and adolescents consume less fiber than recommended. A common problem reported  during Ramadan is poor digestion health accompanied by an increase in the      occurrence of constipation. Objective: To assess satiety, bowel habits, body    composition, blood glycaemia, and blood lipidemia after the consumption of high fiber All Bran cereal at Suhur meal. Methodology: This research study is a controlled, randomized, parallel-design study. Subjects (n= 45) consumed either 90g of All Bran Raisins (11g/100g fiber) or 90g All Bran Flakes (15g/100g) at Suhur for 20     consecutive days compared with control group (n= 36). Results: After 20 days,   significant differences were found for the intervention group for appetite, digestive symptoms and lipid outcomes. Fifteen minutes after Suhur, 100% of the high fiber intervention group (n=45) and 32% of the control group (n=36) experienced     satisfaction after the meal. Eight hours later, 53% of the control group and 23% of the intervention group felt hungry. Bloating symptoms were significantly improved for intervention group compared to the control group and had improved bowel     functioning (60.5%, 48.6%; P < 0.001, respectively). The high fiber group had    significant higher fiber intakes: the control group stayed at 18.5g fiber per day while in the intervention group fiber intake increased from 18 to 25.5g fiber/day. There were no significant changes in body weight, % body fat, and BMI after 20 days for both groups. Moreover, cholesterol and LDL levels have increased significantly in the control group but were maintained in intervention group. Finally, there was no    significant increase in blood glucose and triglycerides for the control group.    Conclusions: There is a clear positive effect of consuming high fiber breakfast cereal on health and wellbeing during Ramadan with better satiety, improved bowel   functions, and blood lipids. Increasing the intake of dietary fiber/day in Ramadan would have many health benefits for the people in the Arab Gulf countries. This  research was funded and supported by Kellogg EMEA.

Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy (1904-1975) argued, Muslims should be able to distinguish between the Shari’ah which directly from Allah SWT, and fiqh, which is the interpretation of the Shari’a by the mujtahid scholars. So far, there is an impression that Muslims in Indonesia tend to regard fiqh as a Shari’a jurisprudence that should be applied absolutely. As a result, the books of fiqh regarded as a source of religious law, although the Islamic legal opinions of the school sometimes are—to some how—incompatible with the current context. Hasbi saw the need to do ijtihad (Islamic exertion) in favoring the benefit for the people in response to the flow of modernization because Islamic law can basically meet public needs and the needs of mankind. Hasbi offered muqaranah (comparative) method which applied not among the Islamic schools, but also between schools and modern legislation. Hasbi offered idea ijtihad jama’i (ijtihad collectively) by engaging and involving various Muslim scientists so that decisions made are closer to the truth and a much more in line with the demands of the situation and welfare of the community. Since 1940, Hasbi offered the need for having Indonesian fiqh to be a pillar for the development of the Indonesian law. Through ijtihad collectively, according to Hasbi, Indonesian Muslims could formulate and have fiqh according to the personality of the Indonesian nation

PurposeThe objectives of this study are to determine the level of awareness of crowdfunding and green projects among Bruneians, to investigate the preference of Bruneians regarding funding through crowdfunding as well as to evaluate the willingness of Bruneians to use crowdfunding as a funding alternative for green projects in Brunei. In addition to that, this study aims to identify the effects of environmental awareness and environmental concern on the willingness to crowdfund green projects.Design/methodology/approachA total of 177 responses from an online questionnaire distributed via convenience and snowball sampling was used for data analysis. Frequency, descriptive, correlation and regression analyses are used to achieve the aims of this study.FindingsThe study finds that the awareness of the concepts of crowdfunding and green project is high among Bruneians, but the level of their familiarity of crowdfunding platforms and climate change issues is very low. Regression analysis carried out to test the effects of awareness and concern on willingness indicates that while environmental concern has a significant positive effect on the willingness to support crowdfunded green projects, environmental awareness is insignificant.Originality/valueThe study highlights that government policy should be aimed at not just increasing awareness but at increasing the knowledge of the impacts of climate change issue that will raise concern and improve participation of residents in green projects. The study focuses on a rarely studied population, the people of Brunei.

An increasing number of studies have demonstrated that blue space can promote the recovery of the human body, as does green space. However, the influence of blue space on the color space has been studied much less. Based on research on color psychology and healthy cities, the current study takes Yijie District of Dujiangyan City as the research object. Logistic regression models and the semantic differential method was used to explore residents’ perceptions of color space and their restorative ratings of blue space. This study describes the characteristics of the people visiting blue space, investigates whether the benefits brought about by blue space are related to the color space, and studies whether the surrounding colors in the blue space have a positive effect in promoting residents’ perceptions of pleasure. Based on residents’ choices of environmental pictures containing various colors, a color tendency map was constructed. The results revealed strong correlations between residents’ perceived pleasure and color space color collocation. Socio-demographic factors were found to affect the frequency of visiting blue space. Reasonable color planning is necessary for human health. Based on the study findings, relevant planning suggestions are proposed as a reference basis for waterfront space color planning.

This work presents the systematized Russian and foreign scientific knowledge about the specific functioning of advertisement discourse in multiethnic society. The methodology of this research is based on the structural semiotic approach, functional analysis, an institutional-discourse method, an activity approach. The analysis of a big number of advertisement texts served the basis for typological classification of ethno cultural codes in the structure of media advertisement communication. The idea of this typology is heterogeneity advertisement texts, which are organized on the basis of the three semiotic systems: visual, verbal and acoustic. The understanding and realization of the idea of hybrid text modeling in the advertisement design allows one to improve its effectiveness, which results from the increase of the level of advertising information perception and the degree of its impact to the people. This demonstrates the importance of such professional qualities for advertisement specialists as the readiness and ability to work in multicultural society.

Norwich Eaton Pharmaceutical recognized the benefits of using automation systems in the laboratory over seven years ago and created a robotic development area within the analytical method development group. They now have eight complete robotic systems and a large number of semi-automated systems in routine operation. This level of activity has provided many challenges for the automation group. The success of this group has been very dependent on the talents of people working these assignments. You can have the best equipment and the vendor's promises of success, but it is the people who understand the products and the requirements that get systems on line.Assembling an effective robotics organization requires prework on the part of management. There must be a clear vision of the specific types of activities the group will perform. This vision can be used to establish a skills profile for the members of the team. It appears that at least four people are required to provide the variety of skills and keep the group going. Each member's personality is an important component of establishing a new team. In robotics, one of the most critical talents is the ability to work on long term projects that constantly present new challenges. The group members need to balance consistency of purpose with the ability to creatively solve a variety of problems. The group will not be effective in delivering new technologies unless they have the talent to train the novice in a highly technical environment.People who are successful in automation development are unique. They should have the ability to work comfortably in a logic-based environment, to become very creative on demand, and to communicate highly technical information effectively. People do not usually possess all these skills, providing their manager with challenging coaching opportunities.
