The development of information technologies makes it possible to record a large amount of data in the learning process, both on the results of performing educational operations and on the psychophysical characteristics of students. In this regard, a number of ethical, pedagogical and methodological problems arise. Among them are the disproportionate control actions to the volume and properties of information retrieved during monitoring and problems associated with ensuring the information security of the student. In contrast to natural monitoring, monitoring the management of teaching has as an object of training a person, who can be considered, from the point of view of management, as a highly organized information system. The article is devoted to the study of the problem of non-invasive monitoring, involving the redirection of most of the monitoring information to the student himself. As a definition of non-invasive monitoring, the following is proposed: non-invasive monitoring is a type of pedagogical feedback that is used exclusively for correcting the student’s actions and is prohibited from using to control the effectiveness and transfer the results outside class. The article analyzes 15 different teaching paradigms, which are explicitly or implicitly adhered to by teachers, organizing the educational process, from the point of view of compliance with the tasks of non-invasive monitoring. The methodological aspects of the implementation of non-invasive monitoring from the point of view of computer support of the learning process are also analyzed. It is shown how non-invasive monitoring can be supported by software that provides active interaction of the student with the subject environment and gives the teacher more freedom in planning and achieving strategic goals of managing the educational process.

The emerging range of personal mobile devices, due to their advanced technical characteristics, has made it possible to widely use them at enterprises, offices or educational institutions almost in any place. This has led to the introduction of a new concept of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), when a personal device (phone, tablet) is used for work or study. One of the serious problems encountered by teachers on the way of implementing BYOD into the educational process is the insufficient level of information competence and the lack of educational manuals for such classes. The aim of the research is to investigate the relevance of implementing BYOD approach in teaching Computer Engineering students and to consider the possibilities of using mobile devices for didactic purposes directly in the classroom and in distance learning. Within BYOD, the use of learning support mobile systems in the learning process gives its participants access to training materials, services and models adapted for the use in a mobile environment. The teachers effectively manage the learning process, in particular, focus the students’ attention on the sources of information that give the most correct and complete answers within the relevant disciplines. The research presents learning outcomes of two groups: control, with the traditional method of teaching and the equipment provided by the educational institution, and experimental, when students use their own mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) in the educational process, which gives a possibility to learn in any place convenient for a student and remotely send progress reports. The results showed that the students of the experimental group outperformed their groupmates from the control group in academic progress. The implementation of BYOD elements has led to the increase in students’ motivation and interest in their own learning. The main positive aspects of using BYOD technology in the learning process have been identified, such as convenience and flexibility, reducing the expenses of educational institutions, simplifying work with the network services, interactivity of learning, and applying multimedia format in the presentation of educational material during lectures, laboratory and practical classes, effectiveness of work with information and the presentation of results.

In the educational process, it is not the information technology itself that is important, but the extent to which its use serves to achieve the actual educational goals. The choice of means of communication should be determined by content, not technology. This means that the choice of technologies should be based on the study of the content of training courses, the degree of necessary activity of trainees, their involvement in the learning process, specific goals and expected learning outcomes. The result of training depends not on the type of communication and information technologies, but on the quality of the development and provision of courses.

Among the new technologies for teaching and controlling students' knowledge, test technologies, whose development is based on the computerization of the educational process, are of greatest interest. A very common shortcoming of some testing programs is to ensure the performance of only one function - knowledge control. While this process is a component of the learning process and should be integrated with it as much as possible. This task can be solved on the basis of the use of educational technologies with the use of all kinds of information technologies for teaching and new teaching methods, as well as computer technologies for organizing independent work while testing knowledge and teaching technical disciplines. The practical implementation of these directions involves the development of test tasks that perform both monitoring and training functions. The relevance of the chosen topic determined the purpose of the work - identifying the features of the training and controlling complex for technical disciplines in the training of bachelors. As a result of the research, we offer a test technology in which several functions of the teacher are given to the training and controlling complex, which represents the software product. The developed technique and the accounted features of the use of the training and controlling complex for technical disciplines made it possible to increase the effectiveness of training by test methods, which was confirmed by the students' questioning.

One of the hallmarks of the learning process is its manageability, which provides for the possibility of planning and designing the educational process. The article deals with practical issues related to the administration of the University Virtual Learning Environment in terms of organization and differentiation of access rights of different categories of users. The authors discuss the principles of administering a virtual learning environment in terms of distinguishing levels of access to individual elements of the system for different roles of different categories of users. In LMS Moodle, the list of hierarchical contexts is as follows: System (no parent context); Website – homepage (parent context – system); Course category (parent context – system); Course (parental context – course category or system); Course element (parent context – course); Block (parent context – system or course); User (parent context – system). In the Lviv Polytechnic University, only Super Administrator, Global Group Management, Methodist, and Library have global roles. Role assignments are performed to determine the role in context. The site (homepage) and course are examples of two different contexts. While the role assignment process is the same for different contexts, the path to the assignment page may be different. The article gives examples of how to organize a system of administration with a description of the processes of creating different types of roles and the logic of implementation of each role and the need for certain approaches. There are five types of roles in the article, namely: managerial, supervisory, training, informational, temporary, providing justification and practical advice on setting up each role for each type. The article describes a common responsibility matrix for each user role. The roles of management roles are different aspects of course administration at the level of course categories of different types of nesting. This type includes administrators. The role of the controlling role is, by name, to investigate the various aspects of educational and training activities within the VNS system. The objectives of the learning roles are to ensure and carry out the learning process itself. These roles include, first of all, the system role by default – the student, the main participant in the process of acquiring knowledge, passing checkpoints and other components of the educational process. The tasks of information roles are to create information messages for both students and teachers at different levels of the information system. Temporary role tasks are to involve third parties in the system. Of course, the guest is first and foremost, but in our case guest entry is forbidden, so the roles of Conference Participant and Olympiad Participant were created to provide access to individual system resources. The article describes a common responsibility matrix for each user role.
