Thermally dried thermophilic K. marxianus has proved to be an effective starter culture for whey fermentation. Convective drying of K. marxianus can be performed effectively in the range 35-60oC. The best drying temperature for is considered 35oC since it is the most cost effective without any substantial difference in kinetic parameters when compared with higher temperatures. The impact of thermally dried starter culture of K. marxianus is high, since several products could be produced from whey, such as potable and fuel-grade alcohol, baker’s yeast, SCP to feed animals and a Kefir drink-type. Furthermore, the economical impact of thermally dried starter culture production is essential, since it may lead small dairy enterprises to treat their own whey by producing added value products and protecting the environment from this much polluted liquid. GC-MS analysis of fermented whey indicates that it contains volatiles similar to traditional drinks produced from vegetable raw materials.

The article presents the overview of the main technological processes in fish structured products dehydration. The rational modes of the technological process of minced fish raw materials with various initial moisture and fat content heat treatment are determined. One of the main tasks of the fish processing industry development which allows increasing the profitability of products and their quality is improving technological processes. The scientifically substantiated choice of resource and energy-saving modes of processing food materials is highly important in this case. It will reduce not only production costs but also emissions of harmful substances into the environment and increase the efficiency of using equipment. It must be taken into consideration that the optimization of dehydration technological processes without identifying their patterns is extremely difficult. Increasing efficiency and controlling technological processes makes sense only on the basis of patterns. The effectiveness of the hydrobionts processing determines the quality and cost of finished products manufacturing while fish processing enterprises working. The development and implementation of highly efficient technologies with the use of resource-saving technical systems, for example, using heat pumps, makes it possible to produce cost-effective high-quality products.

This paper focuses on the impact of the geographical indications (GIs) of Koerintji cinnamon on its value chain. The study was performed from September 2017 to November 2017 in Talang Kemuning, Kerinci regency, Indonesia. A village farmers’ group was surveyed using a semi-structured questionnaire, roundtable discussions, interviews, and direct observations to understand whether the GIs improve income, source of production, and promote product quality. Using a descriptive method, the literature on the topic was analyzed, and a value chain study was structured from the review’s findings. This helped us to better understand how GIs’ effects are dispersed among the chain actors and eventually enter the areas from which GI commodities originate. GIs generate added value, especially for farmers and buyers. Specifically, by using the GI Koerintji cinnamon’s handbook of requirements, the efficiency of farmers and buyers has improved. The studied population included farmers from Koerintji Cinnamon Jambi Geographical Indication Protection Society (MPIG-K2J) and Tani Saktik Alam Kerinci (TAKTIK), a farmer group. To obtain a GI, TAKTIK had to implement good agriculture practices and good manufacturing practices based on the handbook. Results show that farmers developed a system to monitor post-harvest handling in assuring a safe and high-quality supply to the global spices market. Following the book requirements, TAKTIK members follow specific procedures, including selecting raw materials, grading, origin verification, and quality control. Furthermore, GIs enable farmers to claim a price premium. As a result, GI Koerintji cinnamon’s presence has added value and credibility to TAKTIK farmers, leading to price improvement.

The article is devoted to the issue of the possibility of economic development of the mining industry in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) and the impact of investment projects. With the vast wealth and diversity of mineral resources, their involvement in the national economy is an essential factor in the industrialization and successful development of the regions. In the case of the establishment of processing plants, for a number of minerals, the region could provide its own needs, as well as the countries, finished products from it, and develop an export focus. The article considers the export orientation of the mineral and raw materials complex of Russia and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as the commodity structure of exports of the regions of the FEFD. Special attention is paid to the implementation of major regional investment projects, which are important for the development of the regions. So, it is proposed to implement a major project in the form of an integrated mining and metallurgical complex due to the fact that the region needs its own ferrous metallurgy. The calculations carried out (in various versions: basic, in the conditions of the territory of advanced development (TAD), without the costs of infrastructure creation) showed that the implementation of the project is cost-effective, but due to the high costs, the support of the state is necessary.

The article presents a reasonable analysis and relevance of the study of the drying process of vegetable raw materials (colloidal capillary-porous materials). Drying is an energy-intensive industrial process that is defined from a technological point of view: on the one hand by heat and moisture exchange between the body surface and the environment, on the other hand by heating the body and transferring moisture inside it due to the form of moisture. One of the most effective ways to increase the shelf life of food is to dry it to equilibrium humidity. Very important are the technological parameters of the drying regimes, which, when used rationally, are able to preserve the biochemical properties and nutrients of the raw material at a high level in the obtained dry product. The study of dehydration of vegetable raw materials is widely practiced around the world, especially in countries such as Germany, France, USA, Argentina, Hungary, Brazil, Poland, Korea, China, Malaysia. However, the obtained processed products lose their biologically active components and nutrients, and the processing process is energy consuming. Therefore, the problem is relevant and needs an effective solution. In this paper, the kinetics of the drying process, thermogravimetric studies and a mathematical model for colloidal capillary-porous materials of plant origin were analyzed. According to the results of the highlighted research, the process of convective drying of colloidal capillary-porous materials was intensified above 21% due to the use of innovative step regimes. The developed beet-rhubarb composition is a colloidal capillary-porous material that stabilizes and protects at the biochemical level betanin of the beet from the effects of temperature during convective drying, has in comparison with the components of the composition lower heat of dehydration and increased thermal-stability. Prolonged high-temperature exposure causes instant complete destruction of sugars, proteins and other nutrients components. Derivatographic studies have confirmed that the use of the temperature range of 100 ° C in a stepwise mode of 100/60 ° C for the developed soybean-spinach composition is safe for biologically active substances and it is justified by experimental temperature curves. Numerical modeling of heat and mass transfer during convective drying of crushed beets and crushed soybeans using the known model by A.V. Lykov satisfactorily describes the process and can be used to model the convection drying of colloidal capillary-porous materials.

The paper deals with some theoretical approaches to determining the essence of the export potential, the features of its formation and development in the agri-food complex, the impact on the growth of competitiveness. This made it possible to clarify the definition of the export potential of the agri-food complex as an aggregate of competitive advantages. The specifics of the development of the export potential in the context of globalization and the development of international integration are revealed. The dynamics and structure of exports of food products and agricultural raw materials are analyzed; the physical capacity of the domestic markets of basic food products, the dynamics, and trends of its change are estimated. Excessive growth in the volume of production of agricultural products can lead to oversaturation of the domestic market, a decrease in the profitability of domestic producers, worsening the financial situation in the industry. Russia has a significant potential for integration into the world agri-food system. However, the main share of the export of the agri-food complex is made up of agricultural raw materials, primarily grains and oilseeds, which has an adverse effect on the structure of the complex and the rate of its development. The diversification of exports, the growth of exports of products with high added value will contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture and food industries. The development of the export potential of the Russian agri-food complex should be based not only on the active use of national competitive advantages but also on the formation of competitive advantages based on the international division of labor as well. The export-oriented strategy for the development of Russia's agri-food complex needs to be justified in the context of food security policy, which implies resolving the contradiction between national interests related to the saturation of domestic markets, and attitudes toward growing competitiveness in the world food markets, as well as the development and realization of the export potential.

The construction industry is the main consumer of natural resources, characterized by significant consumption of non-renewable resources and the impact on environmental pollution. Up to 50% of carbon dioxide emissions are accounted for by the construction industry. In addition, the main feature of the traditional construction industry is the overuse of energy, which affects the process of global warming and climate change. Energy is consumed in the extraction of raw materials, production and transportation of materials, in the process of construction, operation, repair and liquidation of buildings. Awareness of global environmental problems has led to a rethinking of the process of design, construction, operation and disposal of buildings in the European Union, the United States, Canada and others and the emergence of the concept of sustainable development and "green" construction. In this aspect, the main criteria for designing buildings are to minimize the impact on the environment, as well as reduce energy costs, reduce waste and harmful emissions. The solution of the above problems, taking into account national specifics, can be achieved by developing typical resource- and energy-efficient, cost-effective design solutions for load-bearing and enclosing elements and their joints using environmentally friendly materials of local origin (wood and materials based on it, clay materials, straw, reeds, etc.
