Students’ experiences in doing clinical learning are a challenge in themselves where studnets interact directly with patients and face the changes that occur. Students are prepared in various aspects to deal with learning in clinics where students contact with patients. The phenomenon that occurs is students are not confident to practice and learn cases in clinic, fear of the tasks and responsibilities given. The purpose of this study is to describe of nursing student readiness when practice in clinical setting at the Nursing Institution in Jakarta. This research method is a quantitative method with a correlative design with 219 samples (nursing students). The measuring instrument used in this study is by using the CLES questionnaire, motivation and anxiety faced by students. The results showed that the RMSEA value is 0.000, which means that the fit of the model is good or good fit and 90% internal confidence, and there is an influence from the environment (p value 0,000), motivation (p value 0,000) and anxiety factors (p value 0,000) to the readiness students doing clinical learning. Therefore, to get good service quality in nursing education, collaboration between health care and education is very important to create a conducive environment for students to conduct clinical learning.

<p>Clinical learning greatly determines the quality of graduates in nursing education. In the clinical learning process students tend to be reluctant and afraid to ask questions and express opinions to lecturers and advisors, but students will be more courageous to ask and express opinions about the courses to other students. Peer learning is a learning strategy where students who have high absorption to become tutors for their friends who have not understood the material for a particular purpose and this method can be an alternative in clinical learning. The study aims to explore students experience on clinical nursing education with peer learning method. The research method which is utilized to develop the study was the qualitative method with phenomenology approach.  The 8 participants in the research students collage base goal of research have been administered. The data analysis of taking interview from participant use Thematic Content Analysis. The data analysis reported that The Learning Experience, Self-Esteem, Leadership and Development of clinical skills.  Peer learning can make students' knowledge grow, more independent, more initiative, more courageous, able to train leadership and improve clinical skills. To sum up, the development of strategy peer learning are able to enhance the skills of nursing students.</p>

Background: Caring in nursing is a very basic component, as the heart of profession, Which means that caring is a fundamental component, and central and unique focus of nursing. Caring, which is a core of nursing practice, must grow from self and deepest heart to help other people since being a nursing student so that caring in nursing education, must be placed as main competency in nursing education. The aim of this research to evaluation the efficacy of caring training in improving understand cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies of caring, among students during clinical periodMethod: This research used quasi experiment non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Respondents of research were nursing students of Poltekes Palangka Raya, Semester V, regular class, X-A period, with total of 37 respondents as intervention group and regular class of X-B period with total of 35 respondents as control group.Results: Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. Results of research indicated that cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies of caring in nursing students with caring training did not show significant effect (cognitive: p-value = 0,21, affective: p-value = 0.58, psychomotor: p-value = 0.07); however, the average scores were higher among student received caring training The caring behavior showed no difference between male and female students.Conclusion: There is insignificant difference between students with caring training and students without caring training. The training should be modified as suggested in the paper.

Introduction: Student Centered Learning (SCL) is an effective method to develop student's soft skills and hard skills which are very important to support their successful carrier later. This research was conducted to identify the differences of developed soft skills between students who learn with PBL method and lecturing method. Methods: Descriptive comparative method was used in this study. The samples consisted of 15 students who learned with PBL method and 15 students who learned with lecturing method. The sample for this research was selected by random sampling method. Results: The result showed that the average of student's soft skills score in PBL method was 122.63, while student's soft skills score in lecturing method was 116.27. Discussion & Conclusion: There was significant difference of student's soft skills in PBL method and lecturing method (p value = 0.038; α = 0.05). This study recommends nursing program management, faculty of medicine at the University of Syiah Kuala keeps PBL method running and develops other methods which facilitate hard skills and soft skills are development. Keywords: nursing students, soft skill, PBL

                The evolution of information technology has exerted great influence on nursing education via new pedagogy of knowledge delivery without time and place restriction. Mobile technology revolutionises nursing education and clinical practice via empowering skills of critical thinking and clinical decision-making through learning. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using mobile messenger (Whatsapp) as an educational supporting tool among nursing students. The study design used is a Cluster Randomized Control Trail. Two nursing colleges were selected. Sample size was 93 participants, 48 from the Kuala Terengganu Nursing College Kuala Terengganu as the intervention group while the control group were recruited among 45 participants from UniSZA Nursing College. There is a significant difference in the level of knowledge between pre and posttest among intervention group (mean difference was -8.70 with a standard deviation 8.42, p-value< 0.001) and 93.8 percent of the respondents perceived the usefulness of using WhatsApp mobile messenger to enhance learning. This demonstrates that learning through mobile messenger (WhatsApp) enhances learning and is well received as a new method of learning by almost all students.   Keywords: Mobile learning, WhatsApp messenger, Social Interaction

Introduction The implementation of nursing clinical learning in Indonesia has several challenges that require innovation in the learning method strategy. The method that has been used so far focuses on the hierarchical relationship between lecturers/preceptors and students, so that there are many shortcomings in learning outcomes. The application of the method of active learning with Peer Learning (PL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) techniques has proven effective in classroom learning, but its rarely found in clinical learning. Objective The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the PL and PBL towards the achievement of clinical learning in nursing students. Methods The research method used a true experiment with a posttest only control group design, the sampling technique was taken by randomize control trial. An instrument for clinical learning achievement using AssCE. Results The analysis was carried out as descriptive and bivariate. The results showed the mean in the experimental group was 7.059 and the control group was 6.325. Further statistical test results were obtained p-value = 0.001 (p < 0.05) which showed that the average score there were differences in clinical learning achievement development scores. Conclusion Clinical learning using peer learning and PBL methods can directly improve various aspects of student competency achievement.

Abstract Objectives To explore attitudes about adding genomic content to an undergraduate nursing curriculum. Genomic knowledge is essential to nursing education, but challenges exist for curriculum innovation. Few countries have guiding documents from national nursing organizations on genomic competencies for practice or education. Information on attitudes about genomics may provide guidance for curriculum development. Methods Nineteen undergraduate nursing students and two faculty from a school of nursing with two sites in western Canada participated. Five focus groups and four interviews were conducted using a semi-structured focus group guide. Data were analysed using thematic analysis. Coding was inductive. Results Characteristics of participants, eight key themes, and four future focal areas were identified to guide future research and curriculum development. Conclusions Global development of genomics-informed curricula will require a focus on increasing knowledge, defining scope and role, increasing visibility of role models, and preparing to implement precision health.

Background: In the Covid-19 Pandemic era 2020, Covid-19 with its increasing spread rate even death in each individual can occur, this greatly affects the condition of students universally by experiencing annoyance, worry, fear, anxiety so that it can cause excessive anxiety. One of the techniques to reduce this level of anxiety is the Benson Relaxation, which can provide comfort and a sense of relaxation so that it can adapt well to the current environment. This Benson relaxation is a combination of deep breaths and elements of faith that give a feeling of calm, comfort and even confidence.Goals: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Benson Relaxation on the Anxiety Levels of Corona virus disease 2019 on nursing students level III of STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan 2020.Method: This study used a pre-experimental study with one group pre test and post test design. The instrument used was an anxiety level questionnaire, with 30 nursing students level III STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan. The research sample were 30 students, where the sample was used by using purposive sampling.Result: The results of the study p-value = 0.000 (P <0.05) indicate that Benson relaxation has an effect on the anxiety level of the third level of Nursing student STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan.Conclusion: This Benson relaxation technique is a good and appropriate relaxation to do at this time to reduce the level of anxiety in the respondent so that the respondent experiences a sense of calm and comfort. Respondents are expected to always apply this Benson relaxation to overcome the increasing increase in anxiety and can overcome the level of anxiety they are experiencing

Abstract Aim: To report the experience of applying different teaching strategies on undergraduate nursing students caring for burn victims. Method: Experience report on the topic, "Nursing care for the patient with burns", for undergraduate nursing student education. Results: Teaching strategies during this course involved theoretical lecture, discussion of clinical cases, use of a virtual environment, and practice in a simulated environment. The students reported satisfaction with the tools used. Conclusion: It is important to incorporate different active teaching strategies, such as clinical simulation practices, e-learning, classes incorporating dialogue, case studies, and others, for undergraduate nursing education on caring for the burn victim.

Management is a process of planning, decision making, organizing, leading, motivating and controlling, and an effective utilization of the resources to reach the organizational goals efficiently and effectively. Management has a crucial role in quality of work and production in any institutions. Although a rapid increase of Nursing Education Institutions in Nepal since last decade which had been trained thousands of nursing cadres, the management aspects of these institutions are not studied adequately. Thus current study intended to explore the current status of Nursing Education Institution Management as experienced and perceived by the bachelors nursing students. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among the nursing institutions in Kathmandu valley. Of the total 28 in the valley, 14 were selected purposively. From the selected institutions, all 377 eligible students currently in final year of study were selected. Among them, 208were from BSN and 169 were from B Sc program.  The data was collected through the self administered structured questioners after taking informed consent. Data entry and analysis was done in SPSS version 16 software. The findings of the study show that 70% students were satisfied in institutional management (mean59.62, SD ± 3.66). In academic management (78%), (mean139.82, SD ± 6.22), followed by human resources 67%, (mean43.54, SD ± 2.79) and were in physical resources management 75% students were satisfied (mean45.02, SD ± 3.08). Analysis of variations between group (administrators, faculties, students) found statistical significance (p value <0.05). So it is concluded the perception of students, faculties and administrator were different on managing the nursing education.

A competitive job market is a challenge that needs to be faced by every university graduate. It is expected that every graduate has capability to keep face with expansion in job sectors. To be able to adapt to the job situation, a specific intelligence to face in facing every challenge and obstacle namely adversity quotient, is required. This study aimed to identify the correlation between adversity quotient (AQ) and career adaptability of internship nursing students. This study was descriptive correlational. Samples were recruited using a total sampling tecnique (n=142). Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of a demographic survey, an Adversity Response Profile (ARP) Quick TakeTM and a Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Rank Spearman correlation test. The result of this study indicated that no students were in quitter category, only 0,7% of them were in quitter to camper transition, 76,8% of them were campers, 21,8% of the students were in camper to climber transition, 0,7% of all respondents were climbers. No students had a very low career adaptability, only 1,4% of them had a low career adaptability, while the proportions of students with a high and very high career adaptability were 75,4% and 23,2 % respectively. No significant correlation was found between AQ and career adaptability (p value >0,05; Spearman’s ρ +0,122). It can be concluded that most of internship nursing students at Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran were campers and had a high level of career adaptability. There was also no significant correlation between AQ and career adaptability. Further research needs to explore about contributing factors related to career adaptability in internship nursing students.Keywords: Adversity quotient, career adaptability, internship nursing student. Hubungan Adversity Quotient dan Adaptabilitas Karier pada Mahasiswa Profesi NersAbstrakDalam menghadapi pasar kerja yang semakin ketat, setiap lulusan universitas diharapkan memiliki kemampuan untuk menghadapi tantangan dan beradaptasi dengan perkembangan pada dunia kerja. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan adanya kecerdasan dalam menghadapi setiap tantangan dan hambatan yang disebut adversity quotient (AQ). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan AQ dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa profesi ners. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif korelatif. Responden penelitian berjumlah 181orang mahasiswa program profesi ners angkatan 32 dan 33 di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran yang di ambil dengan teknik total sampling dengan response rate 78,45%. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Adversity Response Profile (ARP) Quick TakeTM dan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skoring ARP QuickTakeTM, skoring CAAS, serta uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak seorangpun responden yang berada pada kategori quitter, sebanyak 0,7% dari responden berada pada kategori transisi quitter ke camper, pada kategori camper sebanyak 76,8%, pada kategori transisi camper ke climber sebanyak 21,8%, dan pada kategori climber sebanyak 0,7%. Tidak ada mahasiswa dengan adaptabilitas karier sangat rendah, hanya 1,4% mahasiswa dengan adaptabilitas karier rendah, sedangkan mahasiswa dengan adaptabilitas karier tinggi dan sangat tinggi masing-masing proporsinya sebanyak 75,4% dan 23,2%. Tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara AQ dan adaptabilitas karier (p value >0,05; Spearman’s ρ +0,122). Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu sebagian besar mahasiswa profesi ners Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran memiliki AQ dengan kategori camper dan memiliki adaptabilitas karier tinggi. Meskipun demikian, tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara AQ dan adaptabilitas karier. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan untuk melakukan penelitian terkait faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa profesi ners.Kata kunci: Adversity quotient, adaptabilitas karier, mahasiswa profesi ners.
