This chapter examines the effectiveness of using social media as an aid to primary school students participating in the design of their classroom interior layout. It describes two different attempts to do this that achieved varying degrees of success. Where a blog and Facebook page were set up to provide a virtual space for classroom design to happen, and despite teachers' expressed enthusiasm for involving students in the design of their classroom layout, very few participants resulted. However, one school successfully used the virtual space to show the work of the children and this example is described in the chapter. Social media was of more use in a second example where it formed an additional channel of communication between the researcher in the role of architect and the students. However, here it built on face-to-face communication, suggesting social media can aid in participatory design but is not a substitute for the latter.

The learning program through the TVRI program can make it easier for students who have obstacles to access the internet, due to economic reasons and geographic location. This study aims to examine the effect of learning from home through TVRI on the psychomotor aspects of elementary school students during the spread of Covid-19. There are 3 levels studied, namely readiness, guidance, and basic skills. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects included students in grades III, IV, and V SDN Jambean 02. The data filling technique was an instrument in the form of observation and structured interviews. Learning from home through the TVRI learning program guided by parents or adults, affects the psychomotor aspects of students at the readiness and guidance stages, but at the basic skilled stage it has not been successful. This shows the role of teachers in schools cannot be saved by technology, even when students study at home accompanied by parents. With the learning from home through the TVRI program, it is hoped that parents can read students when studying, with the aim of developing students' psychomotor aspects optimally

The constant rise in tuition fees has created increasing pressure for British universities to augment the range of marketing tools used to attract students in competition with both domestic and overseas institutions. This chapter investigates the role of social media as a communication and marketing tool for Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Social media is a powerful tool for both direct and indirect marketing, and is highly relevant for universities targeting youngsters who belong to the so-called Generation Y. After presenting the background for social media marketing and higher education, we investigate whether the use of social media as a marketing tool has been effective in raising awareness of British universities. To do so, we collect data on the use of social media by HEIs (in the UK and in the USA for comparison), as well as data on students' response to these new marketing strategies. Unlike many other organisations, it seems that social media play a positive role in promoting British Universities, although the evidence suggests that they still tend to use social media too much like more traditional forms of marketing and PR.
