Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi kurikulum berbasis kompetensi pada LKP program otomotif di DIY dalam hal: (1) dukungan lembaga kursus, (2) relevansi tujuan program kursus dengan kebutuhan peserta didik, (3) kesiapan tenaga pendidik, (4) kesiapan peserta didik, (5) kesiapan sarana prasarana, (6) kesiapan dokumen kurikulum, (7) perencanaan materi pembelajaran, (8) pemanfaatan media pembelajaran, (9) penggunaan metode pembelajaran, (10) penilaian pembelajaran, dan (11) pencapaian standar kompetensi lulusan (SKL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah evaluasi model CIPP (context, input, process, product) dari Stufflebeam. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari pimpinan lembaga kursus, tenaga pendidik, dan peserta didik pada LKP program otomotif di DIY yang sudah terdaftar dan mempunyai Nomor Induk Lembaga Kursus (NILEK). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan komputer program SPSS 17, dan analisis kualitatif, yaitu dengan mendiskripsikan dan memaknai data tiap-tiap komponen variabel. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa: (1) dukungan pimpinan lembaga kursus dalam kategori tinggi, (2) relevansi tujuan program dengan kebutuhan peserta didik dalam kategori sangat tinggi, (3) kesiapan tenaga pendidik dalam kategori tinggi, (4) kesiapan peserta didik dalam kategori tinggi, (5) kesiapan sarana prasarana pembelajaran dalam kategori tinggi, (6) kesiapan dokumen kurikulum dalam kategori tinggi, (7) perencanaan materi pembelajaran dalam kategori tinggi, (8) pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dalam kategori sedang, (9) penggunaan metode pembelajaran dalam kategori tinggi, (10) penilaian pembelajaran dalam kategori tinggi, dan (11) pencapaian standar kompetensi lulusan (SKL) dalam kategori sedang. THE EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM IN COURSE AND TRAINING INSTITUTES FOR AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAMSAbstractThe Evaluation of the Implementation of Competency-Based Curriculum in Course and Training Institutes for Automotive Programs. The data were analyzed using the descriptive statistic analysis techniques with the SPSS 17 program and the qualitative analysis to describe and interpret the data from each variable component. The results of the study show that (1) the institutes’ support is in a high category, (2) the relevance of the courses programe objectives to the participants’ needs is in a very high category, (3) the instructors’ readiness is in a high category; (4) the participants’ readiness is in a high category, (5) the readiness of the infrastructure and facilities, (6) readiness of the curriculum documents is in a high category; (7) the learning material planning is in a high category, (8) the use of learning media is in a medium category, (9) the use of learning methods is in a high category, (10) the learning assessment is in a high category, and (11) the achievement of the graduate competence standards is in a middle category.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi menggunakan model CIPPO (context, input, process, product, and outcomes) yang bertujuan mengungkapkan tingkat employability lulusan SMK 4 tahun dengan menggunakan SMK 3 tahun sebagai base line. Sampel penelitian adalah delapan SMK 4 tahun dan delapan SMK 3 tahun dengan melibatkan 544 orang sebagai subyek penelitian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Kurikulum SMK 4 tahun dan 3 tahun menggunakan kurikulum nasional yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan Dunia Usaha Dunia Industri (DU/DI); (2) Kompetensi lulusan SMK 4 tahun seluruhnya berkategori sangat baik, sedangkan SMK 3 tahun 64% sangat baik; (3) menurut DU/DI, lulusan SMK 4 tahun unggul dalam kedisiplin, keuletan, kemampuan teori, kemampuan praktek, rasa percaya diri, ketelitian, kreativitas, dan kepemimpinan; (4) Kompetensi guru SMK 4 tahun unggul dalam membimbing siswa, menghasilkan bahan ajar, mengembangkan bengkel, dan membangun kerja sama dengan DU/DI; (5) sarana dan prasarana SMK 3 dan 4 tahun memiliki kemiripan kondisi; (6) pembiayaan SMK 4 tahun melibatkan alumni sedangkan SMK 3 tahun tidak; (7) Kecepatan mendapat pekerjaan, jumlah lulusan yang bekerja, dan penghasilan lulusan SMK 4 tahun lebih baik dari pada SMK 3 tahun; dan (8) Kepuasan kerja lulusan SMK 4 tahun lebih baik daripada lulusan SMK 3 tahun. EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF 4-YEAR PROGRAM POLICY OF VOCATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOL IN IMPROVING GRADUATES’ EMPLOYABILITYAbstractThe aim of this research is to disclose the employability level of 4-year Vocational Secondary School (or Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK)) graduates by using 3-year SMK as the base-line. This research is an evaluation research using CIPPO (context, input, process, product, and outcomes) model. The sample of the research is eight 4-year SMK and eight 3-year SMK, and it involves 544 persons as the research subjects. The data were collected by observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation, and analyzed quantitatively by using descriptive statistic analysis. The research result shows that: (1) 4-year and 3-year SMKs are using national curriculum developed based on the needs of Bussiness & Insdustrial Performer (DU/DI), (2) the competency of all (100%) the 4-year SMK graduates are ‘very good’, while only 64% 3-year SMK graduates is ‘very good’, (3) based on DU/DI’s stand point, the 4-year SMK graduates is better in 8 aspects (discipline, tenacuty, theoretical knowledge, practical skill, self-independence, carefullness,  creativity and leadership), (4) 4-year SMK teacher is better in guiding the students, producing learning material, developing workshop, and cooperating with DU/DI, (5) 4-year SMK has similiar condition of facilities with 3-year SMK, (6) 4-year SMK funding system is better than the 3-year SMK by involving the alumni, (7) 4-year SMK graduate is better in number of working graduates, income, and speed to get jobs, (8) 4-year SMK graduate are more satisfied with their job than the 3-year graduate.

<p align="center"><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p><em>Disasters are divided into three factors, namely natural, non-natural and human factors, one of which is a fire disaster resulting in fatalities, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological impacts. in this study the objective was to find out what evaluation of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in dealing with fire disasters in the city of Palembang.This research uses the CIPP concept (context, input, process, product) developed by stufflebean. Evaluation the context of how to assess needs and provide an overview of the research environment, Evaluation of inputs determines the input of sources to be used, Evaluation of processes to determine the extent to which plans are implemented in the success of the program, the results in the field indicate that it has not been effective in tackling regional disasters due to limited facilities and infrastructure.The finances of the South Sumatra Province Disaster Management Agency are still very minimal or have limited costs so that disaster management has not run optimally. Evaluasi kontek cara menilai kebutuhan serta memberikan gambaran terhadap lingkungan tempat penelitian, Evaluasi input menentukan masukan sumber-sumber yang akan digunakan, Evaluasi proses untuk mengetahui sejauh mana rencana yang diterapkan dalam keberhasilan program,  maka hasil di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa belum efektif dalam menanggulangi bencana daerah dikarenakan keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana. Keuangan yang dimiliki Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daaerah Provinsi Sumatera Selatan masih sangat minim atau keterbatasan biaya sehingga penanggulangan bencana belum berjalan secara optimal. This study aims to evaluate the coaching program at the Cordova futsal club, which is one of the sports associations that fosters and develops futsal in South Tangerang in particular and in Indonesia in general. In this evaluation, the research uses a survey method using the CIPP model, namely, Context, Input, Process, Product. The results of this study concluded that: the context stage, the Cordova futsal club coaching program was considered very good, the implementation was carried out according to the Vision and Mission. Then the Goals and Strategic Plans are the guidelines and references in the implementation of the coaching program. The input stage, which involves the performance of associations, coaching and training programs, athletes, availability of trainers, infrastructure and sources of funds is rated Very Good, obtained 82.5%. The process stages include the implementation of the coaching program and the effectiveness of the program implementation is considered good, with an average rating of 80.5%. The last stage, namely the product stage that is evaluated, is the achievement of targets in regional, provincial and national events.

Abstract Modeling and laboratory simulation can help overcome of cost obstacle, time, safety and other constraints in laboratory experiments. Many skills also had the opportunity to be fostered and promoted, especially in connection with the construction of thinking skills. However, the implementation of this program required an evaluation, in order to decided whether the program will be continuing or not, in addition its needed to found the focused of on overall quality of learning in order to make a recommendation in the decision making. This research was conducted by the mixed-method approached with triangulation design, in order to evaluate the effectiveness, problems or any obstacles of the implementation of the program. The population in this study was the third semester of pre-service chemistry students at UIN Syarif Kasim Sultan Riau, which was supported by lecturers, assistant laboratory and staf. The sample selection was done using random sampling techniques. Program evaluation in this study was conducted by the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The results showed that the program was running quite effective when viewed from the overall average grades. The evaluation about context, inputs, processes and products had the good and very good score, in which the evaluation score of context and input, get the better score than process and product evaluation. This study recommends to be a continuing improvement program of modeling and simulation laboratories, both as an exercise before the experiments or replace the real experiments. Keywords: modeling; simulation lab; chemistry experiment Abstrak Pemodelan dan simulasi laboratorium dapat membantu mengatasi kendala biaya, waktu, alasan keselamatan dan kendala lainnya dalam praktikum di laboratorium kimia. Beragam kemampuan lain juga berkesempatan untuk ditumbuh-kembangkan terutama dalam kaitannya dengan konstruksi berfikir. Meskipun demikian, implementasi pelaksanaan program ini memerlukan evaluasi, guna memutuskan apakah program ini layak dilanjutkan ataukah tidak, selain karena diperlukannya penemuan terhadap fokus peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran secara menyeluruh guna menghasilkan rekomendasi dalam menentukan keputusan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method desain triangulasi, guna mengevaluasi sebab-sebab efektifitas, kendala ataupun kegagalan pelaksanaan program. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester III jurusan Pendidikan Kimia UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, yang didukung oleh dosen, asisten laboratorium dan laboran dan pemilihan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Evaluasi program dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ini berjalan cukup efektif jika dilihat dari rata-rata keseluruhan nilai, mulai dari context, input, proses dan produk yang berada pada skor baik dan sangat baik, di mana skor evaluasi context dan input, lebih baik dibanding proses dan produk. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk terus meningkatkan penggunaan pemodelan dan simulasi laboratorium kimia, baik sebagai latihan sebelum praktikum maupun menggantikan praktikum yang sesungguhnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan prakerin yang telah dilaksanakan sebagai pedoman perencanaan program prakerin berikutnya.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi (mixed methods) dengan desain urutan pembuktian (sequential explanatory). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi dengan model Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP). Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah orang-orang yang terlibat langsung dalam program prakerin dengan responden kelas XI siswa SMK Negeri 1 Tapung, waka humas, panitia prakerin, ketua program keahlian, guru pembimbing dan instruktur dunia usaha/dunia industri. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berbentuk skala Likert, wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi.Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan bahwa tingkat ketercapaian pada subvariabel konteks dari program sebesar 80,08% dengan kategori baik, sedangkan pada masing-masing indikator: tujuan program sebesar 85,91%, lingkungan tempat program sebesar 77,45%, kebutuhan program sebesar 76,23%. Pencapaian untuk subvariabel masukan program sebesar 80,45% dengan kategori baik, sedangkan pada masing-masing indikator: sarana prasarana sebesar 79,08%, sumber dana sebesar 75,37%, kurikulum dan relevansi program sebesar 81,25%, tata tertib program sebesar 84,31%, sumber daya manusia sebesar 82,84%. Pencapaian untuk subvariabel proses dari program sebesar 82,00% dengan kategori baik, sedangkan pada masing-masing indikator: persiapan program sebesar 84,68%, pelaksanaan program sebesar 81,76%, monitoring program sebesar 80,19%, penjemputan sebesar 86,27%, kondisi pelaksanaan program sebesar 78,67%. Pencapaian untuk subvariabel hasil program sebesar 85,45% dengan kategori baik, sedangkan pada masing-masing indikator: nilai prakerin sebesar 87,52%, nilai uji kompetensi sebesar 87,94%.

Professional development has been identified as a critical component for school nutrition professionals (SNPs) to successfully implement school meal standards in the United States. However, training needs may vary based on different factors. This study examined (1) the topics of highest priority for SNPs; (2) preferred learning methods; (3) where and when trainings should be conducted; and (4) whether responses differ according to important factors including position type, school locale (urban vs. rural), or job experience. Participants completed surveys that included questions on demographics and preferences for learning methods and training topics (n = 492). Descriptive statistics characterized survey responses. Chi square tests assessed differences in learning method and training topic preferences by participant role, locale, and job experience; Cramer’s V assessed the strength of association for each chi square result. Qualitative responses to open-ended questions were analyzed using an inductive thematic analysis method. Nearly all training topic preferences were significantly different (p < 0.001 using Bonferroni method) when stratified by role. Significant differences were also observed for school locale and years of experience, but to a lesser degree. There was less variation in learning method preferences across staff role. Qualitative results (n = 93) identified three key themes related to training needs: role-specific trainings, innovative learning methods, and geographic access. The combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis indicate that professional development for SNPs should mostly be conducted in-person, be easily accessible, and include hands-on activities. Further, training should be tailored by job role and address situational barriers unique to the geographic area.

INTRODUCTION The aim of this survey was to ascertain the level of competency and training of basic surgical trainees (SHOs) in performing incision and drainage of a perianal abscess (a minor surgical procedure). MATERIALS AND METHODS Questionnaires were sent to SHOs enquiring about preferred methods of incision and drainage and the teaching received to perform this procedure. RESULTS Of respondent SHOs, 10% did not receive teaching when performing their first incision and drainage and over half did not received any feedback from their trainers. A mere 65% received practical supervision. Use of the curette and de-roofing of the abscess are not routine methods used. In addition, 13% reported inadequate incision and drainage, which required a second procedure. CONCLUSIONS Competency-based training in minor surgical procedures benefits not only from didactic teaching, immediate supervision and appraisal but also from frequent practise. This was found to be lacking for incision and drainage of perianal abscesses by basic surgical trainees surveyed in the study.
