Objective: Paclitaxel cisplatin and paclitaxel carboplatin were chemotherapy regimens used for cervical cancer treatments at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. They came with hematologic toxicity side effects. This could be monitored from hemoglobin, thrombocyte, and leukocyte parameter. Data that compared the toxicity of these two regimens were still limited at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. Therefore, it was necessary to conduct a research about the difference in blood function toxicity between patients who underwent paclitaxel cisplatin chemotherapy and those who underwent paclitaxel carboplatin chemotherapy based on those three parameters. Methods: This was a prospective observational research with consecutive sampling, inclusion, and exclusion criteria. It was carried out from January to August 2016 at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. Patients were categorized into two groups based on their chemotherapy regimens. Next, blood samples from both groups were tested for its hemoglobin, thrombocyte, and leukocyte level before and after chemotherapy. The data underwent normality test using either Shapiro–Wilk or Mann–Whitney test with SPSS.Results: There were 17 patients who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The result showed a decrease in hemoglobin, thrombocyte, as well as leukocyte values in patients who underwent paclitaxel cisplatin and paclitaxel carboplatin chemotherapy. Conclusion: The decrease of both hemoglobin and leukocyte level was not meaningful in both groups (p>0.05). Meanwhile, the decrease of thrombocyte level was meaningful in both groups (*p<0.05) in which patients who belong to paclitaxel carboplatin chemotherapy group showed a higher decrease of thrombocyte values.

Abstract: Breast cancer is the most common malignancies among woman in Indonesian. One of breast cancer treatment is chemotherapy which resist cancer’s cells to grow. But chemotherapy also cause DNA damage that interfere lymphocyte proliferation. Depletion on lymphocyte counts will increased patient’s susceptibility to opportunistic infection. The aim of this research was to knowing the difference of lymphocyte counts because of chemotherapy on breast cancer patients in general hospital Ulin Banjarmasin. This research was an observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling followed by consecutive sampling. Total samples were 61 patients that match with inclusion criteria. Paired T-test was used to analyze the hypothesis with the result of pvalue=0.000 (ρ<0.05), that means there’s a significant decrease in the number of lymphocyte counts after receiving chemotherapy in general hospital Ulin Banjarmasin, January 2014 to December 2015 period. Keywords: chemotherapy, lymphocyte, breast cancer

Half of the women in Indonesia experience menstrual pain / dysmenorrhoea, 54.89%, experience various disorders including abdominal pain, cramps and back pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of acupressure, ginger drink and the difference in giving acupressure and ginger drink to reducing the intensity of menstrual pain / dysmenorrhea in young women at SMK Swasta PAB 5 Klambir Lima 2020. The design of this study used a quasi-experimental pre and post test with a sample of 30 students who were divided into two groups. Each group was given acupressure and ginger drink in the morning and evening during menstruation from day one to day two. Respondents were assessed for pain before and after the intervention was given. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test contained Sig data (p <0.05). The Wilcoxon test has a p-value of 0.002 (p <0.05), which means that acupressure is effective in reducing the intensity of menstrual pain / dysmenorrhea, there is a p-value of 0.001 (p <0.05) which means that ginger is effective against reducing pain intensity. menstruation / dysmenorrhea, there is a p-value of 0.034 (p <0.05), which means that there is a difference in the effectiveness of acupressure and ginger drink in reducing the intensity of menstrual pain / dysmenorrhea. There is an effectiveness of giving acupressure, ginger drink, and there is a difference in giving acupressure and ginger drink on the intensity of menstrual pain / dysmenorrhea on young women. Abstract Background: Evidence-Based healthcare deals basically with published clinical trials to guide the decision making on what treatment to use for any specific conditions.Aims: The present paper assessed the inclusion and exclusion criteria used in clinical trials of cervical cancer aiming at establishing a clear distinction between each criterion. Methods: We performed a bibliographical search in pubmed with the terms cervical cancer and treatment or therapy filtered for clinical trials with human subjects for the last ten years. A total of 30 papers were used extracting and classifying the inclusion and exclusion category according to the characteristic they described. Results: We found no clear parameter to establish which criteria could exclusively serve as inclusion or exclusion across the papers, about 56% of the categories identified were found either listed as inclusion or exclusion criteria or even as both in some cases. Conclusions: The key issue of selection criteria is not in its form but in its function, the first point to consider is if the trial is experimental (focused on efficacy and proof of principle) or observational (pragmatic trials, focused on effectiveness and real world conditions). We suggest, inclusion criteria should be broad, focused on the investigated condition; exclusion criteria should apply only to the subset of this “included” population, and do not take part in observational studies. These conclusions do not serve only for researchers but should affect practitioners and policy makers to correctly compare the results of investigated treatment.

Cytotoxic chemotherapy suppresses the hematopoietic system, and the most serious hematologic toxicity is neutropenia. This can decrease a risk of infection that causes delays in treatment and reduction of dose intensity, which reduces therapeutic outcome. Filgrastim is used to increase neutrophils level whose therapeutic effect is unknown. The effectiveness of filgrastim is based on the ANC level pre- and post-therapy. This study aimed to analyze the use of filgrastim on ANC level changes in acute leukemia children with neutropenia, and to analyze the patient that achieve ANC level’s targeted therapy = 1000 cell/mm3. A prospective observational study with a longitudinal design was conducted from June to October 2016. The inclusion criteria of the study were patients who diagnosed acute leukemia with neutropenia and received filgrastim 10 µg/kgBW for 3, 4, 5 days. Patients’ ANC levels were measured before and after filgrastim therapy. This study has been approved its ethical clearance by Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang. Data were obtained on the basis of neutropenic episodes, followed by 7 episodes of obtaining filgrastim for 3 days, 1 episode of obtaining filgrastim for 4 days, and 7 episodes of obtaining filgrastim for 5 days. Thus, it consists of 15 episodes. In 3 days, ANC levels increased by 9.5 fold from 381.3 ± 91.8 cell/mm3 to 3984.9 ± 426.8 cell/mm3, but in 5 days, ANC levels decreased by 0.9 fold from 200.9 cell/mm3 ± 98.2 to 189.7 ± 14.2 cell/mm3. Filgrastim was able to increased the ANC levels around nine fold for 3 days of theraphy. There were 53% neutropenia patients who achieved the goal of therapy. Filgrastim therapy with dose 10 µg/kgBW for 3 to 5 days has been able to reach the therapeutic target of 53% in acute leukemia children with neutropenia. The increased levels of ANC maximum was reached on the third day with increased levels of 9.5 fold.
