Medicinal herb is known as "herbal medicine". Based on the observations that have been made, the community in each house in the village of Bnadar Buat has plants that can be categorized as medicinal plants. They know what plants are used as medicine but the utilization is not optimal because of the lack of knowledge of the public on how to use medicinal plants as traditional medicine appropriately and correctly and how to process them into high economic value products, one of which is the herbal preparation of instant ginger powder. To overcome this, it is necessary to provide information and knowledge as well as training on the preparation of instant ginger powder herbs of high economic value. Before carrying out the activities of the PKM team conducted a socialization stage by inviting PKK mothers in bandar Buat village. This devotional activity uses a way of giving material through lectures, then continued with direct practice by pkk mothers. All participants were involved and each group did its own division of work within the group. From this activity resulted in increased knowledge of PKK mothers about medicinal plants as well as the instigated preparation of instant ginger powder herbs of economic value.

This article focuses on the current state of Telengit music culture in Yazula Village (Ulagan Region, Republic of Altai) in conditions of transitivity. The material presented is based on field studies in 2003 and 2019. The Telengit musical folklore of this territorially isolated village is characterized by polystadiality; the “probabilistic,” non-linear nature of its development; by an increase of cultural diversity; and by the transformation of a monolingual environment into a multi-lingual one in linguistic, musical and ontological terms. Channels for outside cultural influence on the intonational field of the Telengit musical tradition include: radio, television, the Internet, the local club, transportation to the city; and International Kurultai of storytellers. In the presence of different forms of folklore (Soviet, Russian, Altaian) performed in the village club, the village folksong tradition continues to live on exclusively in a ritual context (inaccessible to outsiders). The mastery of kai as a specific type of intonation, typical for the Turks of Gorny Altai, that marks their ethnocultural identity, is in demand today by tourists, regional administrations and the public. This leads to the migration of carriers of this tradition out of isolated settlements into more central ones. The transformation of the art of kai in modern Telengit culture is conditioned by the process of globalization/glocalization; by the change of kai’s function in a traditional context to that of staged folklorism; and by the penetration of other cultural intonational forms into the soundscape of Telengit villages.

Kata kunci—pendampingan, branding, simplisia, kesejahteraan masyarakatAbstractCommunity welfare is an important thing that needs to be improved, one of which can be done by managing natural resources or local potential. Poncokusumo Subdistrict is part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) which stores a variety of local potential, one of which is a potentially medicinal plant. The existence of potential medicinal plants can be used as a milestone in improving the welfare of the community in the District of Poncokusumo, especially in the village of Argosuko. In acquintance with this problem, several assistance efforts have been made: 1) manufacturing of simplicia, 2) preparation of the composition of simplicia as a medicinal ingredient, up to 3) packaging and processing of PIRT/BPOM permits. Participants in the research and service were 30 PKK Argosuko village women, coming from three hamlets (Keden, Wangkal Kidul, and Wangkal Lor). Medicinal plants played an important role in traditional medicine for the treatment of diseases since antiquities. The aim of the study is to carry out an ethnobotanical survey on medicinal plants used traditionally in cancer treatment in the region of Greater Casablanca-Morocco, and to enhance the traditional herbal medicine knowledge. 110 traditional healers in the study area were interviewed face to face to response a survey questionnaire including the names of plants used in cancer treatment, used parts, methods of preparation, and route of administration. Indices of Fidelity Level (FL), Use Value (UV), and Relative Frequency of Citation (RFC) were calculated to identify the most effective plants used for cancer treatment. Eight species were specified including Aristolochia baetica, Aristolochia paucinervis, Bryonia dioica, Aquilaria malaccensis, Marrubium vulgare, Lavandula maroccana, Ephedra alata, and Euphorbia resinifera belonging to 7 families. Aristolochiaceae, Aquilariaceae, and Cucurbitaceae were the most useful families in cancer treatment with high significant indices of UV, FL, and RFC with values of 1, 100%, and 1, respectively. Roots and leaves were the most commonly used plant parts. Decoction and powder mixed with honey were the frequently used method for remedies preparation. The present study showed that the people living in Morocco’s economic capital are still highly dependent on traditional herbal medicine for the treatment of cancer. Therefore, it seems that herbal medicine still plays a crucial role in the primary healthcare system for the local population. During this survey, it was reported that even some plant families are highly toxic for humans like Aristolochiaceae that are frequently used in cancer treatment in the study area. As many people still rely on natural traditional medicine considering (it is safe with no side effects), so combined effort between all social categories including scientists and traditional healers should be established for involving the scientific validity of the used plants in the treatment of diseases.

The arts and culture are considered core in a creative industries strategy. But the promotion of the creative industries brings about revised notions of creativity. These revised notions are being applied to the arts. Creativity is now seen to be largely manageable. All individuals are made to believe that they can be creative. Not only that, creativity is seen to be a money spinner. Workers should tap into their creativity and bring about innovations in the work place. Pupils are taught to tap into their creativity and to think outside the box. Such views on creativity galvanize the public and enthuse many people into the creative industries. Such notions of creativity contrast against the fine arts. Regardless, as this paper examines the situation in Singapore, shows that fine artists in the city-state are finding themselves internalizing a market logic and have tied their art practices to economic value. Fine arts practices will not be as lucrative or popular as their counterparts in the other creative businesses; they will remain poor cousins in the creative industries. Essentially, the fine arts are being subjugated in the creative industries and the Singaporean art world is being changed.
