This research aims to 1) explore the benefits of online (benefits obtained when on the internet) and online risks (risks experienced when on the internet) in adolescents in Jakarta; 2) Test differences in online benefits and online risk based on differences in gender, education level, and school affiliation. This study used a survey method with a multilevel random sampling technique performed on adolescents living in Jakarta aged 12-18 (N = 756). The data analysis technique for this study is descriptive analysis and T-test analysis. The results of the research show that teenagers in Jakarta regularly use the internet every day with relatively high duration. More than 60% of teens benefit online in the medium to the high category, with six types of benefits online: learning, creative participation, social participation, social relations, entertainment, commercial benefits, and personal benefits. Most teens experience online risk in the low category, with three types of risks: content risk, contact risk, and behavioral risk. Other findings, namely: (1) there are significant differences in online risk-based on sex and adolescent education level; (2) significant differences in online benefits are based solely on adolescent education levels. There are no significant differences in online and online risk benefits based on school affiliation (non-religious schools and religion-based schools). This research contributes to the importance of distinguishing online benefits and online risks from adolescent education levels.

Objectives: This study aims to investigate ethnic variation and its association with malaria awareness in the East Nusa Tenggara Province (ENTP), Indonesia. Methods: A community–based cross–sectional study was conducted upon 1495 adults recruited by multi –stage cluster random sampling technique. A malaria awareness related questionnaire was used to collect data alongside a malaria awareness index (MAI). A logistic regression method was applied to quantify the strength of associations of factors associated with the awareness index. Results: Of total participants, 33% were from Manggarai, 32.3% were from Atoni, 30.2% from Sumba ethnicity. The level of MAI was significantly different between these groups with the highest in Manggarai ethnicity (65.1%, 95% confidence interval (CI): 59.9 — 70.3) and the lowest in Sumba ethnicity (35%, 95% CI: 27.6 — 42.4). The most prominent factors influencing the MAI in Sumba and Manggarai ethnicity were education level, whilst it was socio–economic status (SES) in Atoni ethnicity. The level of MAI was significantly higher for adults with diploma or above education level (adjusted odds ratio (AOR): 21.4, 95% CI: 3.59 — 127.7- for Manggarai; AOR: 6.94, 95% CI: 1.81 — 26.6 for Sumba). The level of MAI was significantly higher for adults living in high SES in Atoni (AOR 24.48, 95% CI: 8.79 — 68.21). Conclusions. Poorer education levels and low SES were more prominent factors contributing to lower levels of MAI in rural ENTP. Interventions should focus on improving malaria awareness to these groups to support the national commitment of the Indonesian government to achieve a malaria elimination zone by 2030.

It also seeks to establish that the network capital moderated by the Internet-enabled environment will accelerate the internationalization of service SMEs. A cross-sectional design was deployed together with survey method of data collection and systematic random sampling technique were utilized. The population of this study is 1,500 export-ready SMEs in the Malaysia`s service sector and was obtained from the SME business directory. The study postulated and tested 7 hypotheses. Based on the outcome, all the direct hypotheses, namely; H1, H2, H3 and H4 were supported. Based on the results, all the independent variables have t-value ≥ 1.645, significant at 0.05. Specifically, access to resources and knowledge (β = 0.477, p˂ 0.01), access to market opportunities (β = 0.241, p˂ 0.01), business collaboration (β = 0.148, p˂ 0.01) and internet-enabled environment (β = 0.159, p˂ 0.01) have positive influence on the degree of internationalization. Thus, H1, H2, H3 and H4 are supported. Access to resources and knowledge has the largest effect in producing the R2 for the degree of internationalization. While, the effect of other 2 predicting variables namely; access to market opportunities and business collaboration, as well as the moderating variable, internet-enabled environment is small in producing the R2 for the degree of internationalization.

Finance is an important input of agriculture. Sufficient and timely credit to the farmer is vital and indispensable for the rehabilitation and progress of agriculture. The present study was conducted in the West Tripura district of Tripura to analyze the magnitude, utilization, and constraints of farm finance availed by the borrowers in the district. 120 sample farmers and 20 lenders were selected using a purposive random sampling technique for detailed analysis. Data were collected by survey method using pretested schedules. The study revealed an increasing trend in terms of branch expansion, total deposits and advances over the years. Moreover, the C-D ratio increased from 41 in 2013-14to 45.77 in 2017-18. The sector-wise advances of banks showed an increasing trend and percentage share to the agricultural, and non-farm sectors was 27.57 and 72.43 in West Tripura. Inadequacy of loans, and lengthy lending procedures were problems identified by the borrower farmers. The majority of farmers (89.16 percent) opined that the borrowed amount was not adequate for meeting their farm expenses. As per the bank officials, the non-availability of the land records (80 percent) with the borrower was a major problem. To improve borrowing and utilization of farm finance remedial measures such as post-credit supervision by the Bank Field Officer and disbursement of the major portion of the loan in kind form may be adopted.

ObjectiveTo examine the association between parental socioeconomic status (SES) and the risk of offspring overweight/obesity and the changes of the association that occur as children grow older.DesignWe used data from the nationally representative longitudinal survey of the China Family Panel Studies of 2010 and its three follow-up waves in 2012, 2014 and 2016.ParticipantsA total of 6724 children aged 0–15 years old were included.Primary and secondary outcome measuresAverage household income and paternal and maternal education levels were used as SES indicators. Logistic regression model for panel data was used to examine the associations between SES indicators and child overweight/obesity. A restricted cubic spline linear regression model was used to estimate body mass index (BMI) trajectories with child growth across parental SES levels.ResultsCompared with the lowest education level (primary school or less), the ORs for fathers who had completed junior high school, senior high school and junior college or higher were 0.85 (95% CI 0.75 to 0.97), 0.77 (95% CI 0.64 to 0.92) and 0.72 (95% CI 0.55 to 0.93), respectively. The corresponding ORs for mothers were 0.76 (95% CI 0.67 to 0.86), 0.59 (95% CI 0.47 to 0.72) and 0.45 (95% CI 0.34 to 0.60), respectively. A negative association between parental education and offspring overweight/obesity was observed in the first 10 years but not in children 11–15 years old. BMI differences across parental education levels emerged from birth and widened before 6–7 years old, but decreased before adolescence. High average household income was related to a low risk of offspring overweight/obesity but not when parental education level was adjusted for.ConclusionHigh parental education levels were associated with a low risk of offspring overweight/obesity, especially before adolescence. Effective approaches need to be adopted in early childhood to reduce socioeconomic differences in overweight/obesity.
