It is always possible to combine the field of language with other fields which may be irrelevant, but there is a possibility to develop the fields synergistically. Cyberpragmatics can be seen as a transdisciplinary field, because it includes complex dimensions, namely language, pragmatics, technology, media, internet, and possibly other dimensions as well. This article aims to describe contexts in cyberpragmatics. The data was collected from utterances in various domains which contained context entities. The substantive data source was taken from authentic texts in various social media which also contained context. As for the locative data source, it was from social media that could be reached within the time of research. The data was collected by applying listening method and interview method. The researcher also used his intuitive judgment given the fact that he is a native speaker of Indonesian language. The data analysis method applied in this research is distributional analysis method in order to reach the linguistic aspects of this research. The dominant analytical method used is the extralingual type of extralinguistic method of analysis. The analysis showed that various pragmatic contexts were found, which include social context, societal context, cultural context, and situational context. The diverse contexts may change and shift over time. The context of the past cannot be the same as the context of the present and future. The elements and functions of the context will definitely shift and change so that the meaning of speech intentions in cyberpragmatics will also change.

Over the past three years, travel agents, enterprises and destinations have switched almost entirely from traditional to digital marketing methods, relying strongly on search engines and social media. They consider these methods as faster, more flexible, financially more efficient, and with wider reach. Most importantly, they provide customer data and feedback, with precise targeting of different messages to different market sectors, with rapid measures of success. This, however, leads to fragmentation of information reaching tourists, which itself affects destination image. This seems unavoidable with continuing competition between platforms; hence, the agents, enterprises and destinations need multichannel marketing. In addition, since most search engines and social media are international, cultural context is a critical component of communications, in style and content as well as language. This may now include multiple sensory detectors and sources, including visual, sound, and haptic. As tourists increasingly garner information independently, travel agents have greater incentives to seek exclusive control over sales of specific products.

This research focuses on the role of the pragmatic context in determining the purpose of speech on social media. This study describes the role of the pragmatic context in determining the purpose of speech in pragmatics with a cyber perspective. The object of this research was the role of the pragmatic context in the perspective of cyber pragmatics. This study's data were the utterances in which the object of the research object was contained in the role of the pragmatic context. The source of this research data substantively was the texts in which contained utterances containing the role of context. As a locational data source, this research uses social media in particular Twitter and Instagram to be reached around the time of this research. Data in the form of speeches that contain the role of the context were collected by applying the listen method. The technique used in the framework of applying the method of referencing was the free engage involved as a basic technique and the recording technique and note technique as a follow-up technique. The analytical method employed was the distributional analysis method. The technique used in applying the distribution method was the technique for the direct element. The extralinguistics dimensions of this research were analyzed by applying the contextual or equivalent methods, especially in extra lingual. The results showed four roles of the pragmatic context, namely: (1) aligning the substance of speech; (2) confirms the substance of speech; (3) clarifying the substance of speech; (4) the background of the speech intention.

In the era of globalization there have been many changes and shifts in cultural values ​​within Malay society, causing neglected gurindam and other folk literature. The Malay community is now more interested in reading social media than reading literature, especially the younger generation. The younger generation is increasingly distant from the traditions espoused especially if it is associated with degradation and moral decadence that are very different from those of young people in the past. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze and interpret the cultural values ​​in folk literature, especially those that are exemplary to the younger generation. This needs to be examined as a form of contribution to the development of mental and character building. This research is descriptive with content analysis method. The data of this study are sourced from the 2013 book Teachings of Teachings by Tenas Effendy. The data studied is documented by means of reading, further recording is concluded and grouped based on the cultural values ​​contained therein. Based on the observations of the author, the Malay teaching point in the Tenind Effendy workshops contributed to cultural values ​​including responsibility, obedience, giving advice, respect, love and loyalty.

A phenomenon that starts to become popular in social media, especially Instagram, is becoming a content creator that focuses on beauty, also known as beauty influencer. Beauty influencers are identical to pretty and feminine concepts, but as the time goes by, male beauty influencers started to emerge as well. This created positive and negative opinions in society, especially about their gender identities. In Indonesia, genderless issue starts to attract public attention. Many people started to question the stiff gender categories by expressing their opinions regarding this phenomenon. This research was conducted with qualitative approach with Teun Van Dijk text analysis method. Data collection was conducted by observations, interviews, and documentations. Based on analysis, it is found that changes in society may affect an individual's social system, attitude, value, and behavioural pattern. People in the past recognise that men are masculine and women are feminine. Nowadays, gender limitation line is getting thinner, prioritising human rights. This proves that the perception of gender identities in the society are slowly changing.Salah satu fenomena yang marak di media sosial khususnya Instagram adalah menjadi content creator di bidang kecantikan atau yang biasa disebut dengan beauty influencer.Beauty influencer identik dengan konsep cantik dan feminine. Seiring perkembangan zaman, saat ini ada pula beauty influencer berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Hal tersebut memunculkan berbagai opini positif maupun negatif dalam masyarakat, khususnya mengenai identitas gender yang mereka tampilkan. Di Indonesia, isu genderless semakin menjadi perhatian publik. Orang-orang mulai mempertanyakan kategori gender yang kaku dan mengemukakan berbagai pendapat atas fenomena ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif menggunakan teknik analisis wacana Teun Van Dijk. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diketahui bahwa adanya perubahan dalam masyarakat dapat mempengaruhi sistem sosial, sikap, nilai, dan pola perilaku individu. Masyarakat pada zaman dulu memiliki persepsi bahwa pria harus maskulin dan perempuan feminin. Sementara zaman sekarang, garis pembatasan gender semakin tipis dan lebih mengutamakan hak manusia. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa persepsi mengenai identitas gender yang ada dalam masyarakat sudah perlahan-lahan berubah.

Hoaks adalah berita palsu yang menggunakan bahasa sebagai medianya, tetapi bukan bahasa dalam fungsi sesungguhnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perlokusi hoaks Covid-19 di media sosial. Perspektif yang digunakan adalah Cyberpragmatics. Pendekatan yang diterapkan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Objek sasaran penelitian ini adalah manifestasi perlokusi hoaks Covid-19. Data penelitian berupa cuplikan-cuplikan tuturan yang di dalamnya terdapat manifestasi-manifestasi perlokusi hoaks Covid-19. Sumber data substantif penelitian ini teks-teks tertulis yang terdapat di media sosial. Adapun sumber data lokasionalnya adalah media-media sosial seperti Instagram, Facebook, Blog, Webs, yang hadir di sekitar waktu penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik rekam dan teknik catat. Sebelum dilakukan analisis data, validitas data dipastikan terlebih dahulu dengan triangulasi data. Metode analisis yang diterapkan adalah metode analisis ekstralingual. Adapun teknik yang diterapkan adalah teknik hubung banding khususnya teknik hubung banding menyamakan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan perlokusi hoaks Covid-19 berikut ini: (1) mengentalkan rasa sentimen; (2) menumbuhkan perspepsi keliru; (3) menyindir otoritas; (4) menumbuhkan kegaduhan; (5) menebar ketakutan; (7) menumbuhkan kekhawatiran; dan (8) menumbuhkan kasak-kusuk.Kata Kunci: Cyberpragmatics, konteks eksternal virtual, dampak perlokusiAbstract Hoax is fake news that uses language as the medium, but not language in its true function. The main objective of this study is to describe the perlocutionary impact of Covid-19 hoaxes. The research perspective used was cyberpragmatics. The approach applied was descriptive qualitative. The object of this research was the manifestation of Covid-19 perlocutionary hoaxes. The research data were snippets of speech in which there were manifestations of Covid-19 hoaxes. The substantive data source of this research was written texts contained in the social media. The locational data sources were social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Blogs, Webs, which were present around the time of research. Data were collected by applying the listening method. The technique used was the recording technique and note taking technique. Before data analysis was performed, the validity of the data was confirmed in advance by applying data triangulation. The data analysis method applied was the extra-lingual analysis method or the extra-lingual equivalent analysis method. The technique applied was the appeal link technique, especially the equalization link technique. This study produced the following findings of the impacts of Covid-19 perlocutionary hoaxes, namely (1) making thickened sentiment; (2) fostering wrong perceptions; (3) insinuating authority; (4) creating noise; (5) spreading fear; (6) fostering concern; (7) growing gossips.Keywords: Cyberpragmatics, virtual external context, perlocutionary impacts

Bu araştırmada sığınmacılara yönelik paylaşımların yapıldığı sosyal medyada yer alan sözlüklerden birinde sığınmacılara yönelik algıya bakılmıştır. Yöntem olarak nitel desende olan bu çalışmada, bir sosyal medya sitesinde yer alan paylaşımlar içerik analizi yoluyla derinlemesine incelenip yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda sosyal medya kullanıcılarının sığınmacıları büyük bir güvensizlik ortamı ve huzursuzluk yaratan bireyler olarak gördükleri saptanmış, sığınmacılarla yaşanan deneyimlerin ve medyadaki haberlerin bu düşüncelerin oluşmasında etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bunun yanında sosyal medya kullanıcılarının devletin sığınmacılar konusunda yanlış politika izlediğini düşündükleri ve sığınmacılar için etkili bir planlama yapılmadığını ifade ettikleri görülmüştür. Çalışmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda medyada sığınmacılar hakkında çıkan haberlerde olumsuz ve şiddet temalı haberlerin azaltılması, Suriyeli sığınmacıların durumu, sahip oldukları haklar ve topluma yansımaları hakkında doğru ve bilgilendirici kamu spotları hazırlanması ayrıca sığınmacıların topluma entegre olma sürecinin her basamağında daha planlı ve etkili bir yol izlenmesi önerilebilir.ABSTRACT IN ENGLISHPerceptions about Syrian refugees on social media: an evaluation of a social media platformIn this research, posts which are about Syrian refugees were published in a social media platform, called as “sözlük” were investigated. The research is a qualitative research. The posts in this platform are analyzed with content analysis method. According to results of analyses, social media users see Syrian refugees as people who create an insecure and a restless environment. The experiences people had with them and news have an effect on this view. In addition, social media users think that government made inappropriate policies and ineffective plans about Syrian refugees. It is suggested negative news about Syrian refugees should be decreased and government should make safer policies. In addition, adaptation of refugees to society should be made in more planned and effective way.

Pengkalan Kuras, Langgam, Kuala Kampar, and Bunut Subdistrict, Pelalawan Regency. Petalangan tribe has various cultures in the traditions of life. A good introduction to cultural heritage by the next generation can strengthen the nation's tradition in responding to the increasingly severe challenges of the future in this era of globalization. Cultural heritage in the form of moral-spiritual inheritance, one of which is obtained and known through the tradition of belief in the traditional proverb that exists in the community. The traditional adage in the Petalangan community, among others, explains the perspective on community life. This study aims to describe the style of language in the customary proverb that is related to the perspective of life in society. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The data source used was the book entitled Pepatah Adat, Istilah, dan Kosa kata Masyarakat Petalangan Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau. There are 16 traditional proverbs used as data in this study, which then obtained 3 language styles based on sentence structure and 2 language styles based on meaning. By knowing and learning the style of language in this traditional proverb, the philosophy of life and aesthetic tastes of the people of Riau can be understood. Petalangan merupakan salah satu puak asli di Provinsi Riau yang bermukim di Kecamatan Pengkalan Kuras, Langgam, Kuala Kampar, dan Bunut, Kabupaten Pelalawan. Suku Petalangan ini memiliki beraneka kebudayaan dalam kehidupan. Pengenalan yang baik terhadap warisan kebudayaan oleh generasi penerus dapat memperteguh tradisi bangsa dalam menjawab tantangan masa depan yang semakin berat dalam era globalisasi ini. Warisan kebudayaan yang berupa warisan moral-spiritual, satu di antaranya didapatkan dan diketahui keyakinan terhadap pepatah adat yang ada pada masyarakat. Pepatah adat dalam masyarakat Petalangan antara lain menjelaskan cara pandang mengenai hidup bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa di dalam pepatah adat yang berhubungan dengan cara pandang dalam hidup bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah buku Pepatah Adat, Istilah, dan Kosa kata Masyarakat Petalangan Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau. Terdapat 16 pepatah adat yang dijadikan data dalam penelitian ini, yang kemudian diperoleh 3 gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat dan 2 gaya bahasa berdasarkan makna. Dengan mengetahui dan mempelajari gaya bahasa dalam pepatah adat ini dapat dipahami filsafat hidup dan cita rasa estetika masyarakat Riau.

The ambition of this book is to combine different bodies of scholarship that in the past have been interested in (1) providing social/structural analysis of financial elites, (2) measuring their influence, or (3) exploring their degree of persistence/circulation. The final goal of the volume is to investigate the adjustment of financial elites to institutional change, and to assess financial elites’ contribution to institutional change. To reach this goal, the nine chapters of the book introduced here look at financial elites’ role in different European societies and markets over time, and provide historical comparisons and country and cross-country analysis of their adaptation and contribution to the transformation of the national and international regulatory/cultural context in the wake of a crisis or in a longer term perspective.

As social media platforms have developed over the past decade, they are no longer simply sites for interactions and networked sociality; they also now facilitate backwards glances to previous times, moments, and events. Users’ past content is turned into definable objects that can be scored, rated, and resurfaced as “memories.” There is, then, a need to understand how metrics have come to shape digital and social media memory practices, and how the relationship between memory, data, and metrics can be further understood. This article seeks to outline some of the relations between social media, metrics, and memory. It examines how metrics shape remembrance of the past within social media. Drawing on qualitative interviews as well as focus group data, the article examines the ways in which metrics are implicated in memory making and memory practices. This article explores the effect of social media “likes” on people’s memory attachments and emotional associations with the past. The article then examines how memory features incentivize users to keep remembering through accumulation. It also examines how numerating engagements leads to a sense of competition in how the digital past is approached and experienced. Finally, the article explores the tensions that arise in quantifying people’s engagements with their memories. This article proposes the notion of quantified nostalgia in order to examine how metrics are variously performative in memory making, and how regimes of ordinary measures can figure in the engagement and reconstruction of the digital past in multiple ways.

Although theorizing and research about asexuality have increased in the past decade, there has been minimal attention given to the emotional impact that living in a hetero- and amato-normative cultural context has on those who identify as asexual. In this paper, I address this research gap through an exploration of the ‘work that emotions do’ (Sara Ahmed) in the everyday lives of asexuals. The study is based on 15 individual interviews with self-identified asexuals living in Aotearoa New Zealand. One participant in the study used the phrase, ‘the onslaught of the heteronormative’ to describe how he experienced living as an aromantic identified asexual in a hetero- and amato-normative society. In this paper I consider what it means and feels like to experience aspects of everyday life as an ‘onslaught’. In particular, I look at some participants’ talk about experiencing sadness, loss, anger and/or shame as responses to/effects of hetero- and amato-normativity. However, I suggest that these are not only ‘negative’ emotional responses but that they might also be productive in terms of rethinking and disrupting hetero- and amato-normativity.
