A community service about the education of Gema Cermat has been conducted in Lebah Sempaga village, West Lombok, NTB. The objective of these activities was to increase people’s knowledge and skills regarding the use of medicines in a right and rational way. The community service was held in three main steps of Community Based Interactive Method, namely presentation of the materials of Gema Cermat by pharmacist leader in NTB, assessments of people’s knowledge before and after socialization by using questionnaires, and evaluation of the participant skills in medicine identifications through the presentation of the participant representations. 23 people are participating in these activities, dominated by females with the age of about 29-50 years old. However, only 13 of them were finishing the questionnaires. Overall, the result of assessments, as well as the evaluation, showed that there was a noticeable improvement in the understanding of people about Gema Cermat, the precise and rational ways in using medicines, with the percentage of 16% increase.  Hopefully, people in that area could spread the information to others so that the side effects due to the non-appropriate use of medicines will reduce

Kewajiban untuk menulis karya ilmiah bagi guru mendorong pentingnya penguasaan reference management software agar kualitas sitasi dan daftar rujukan dalam karya ilmiah sesuai dengan format yang diinginkan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi guru SMKN 6 Malang tentang reference management software Zotero dan EndNote. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan selama dua hari. Selain itu, dilakukan juga survey tentang persepsi pelatihan tentang reference management software dan operasionalnya sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Selain itu, survey juga berisikan tentang persepsi peserta pelatihan terhadap penyampaian materi pelatihan. Dari hasil survey, diketahui mayoritas peserta pelatihan belum memahami reference management software dan pengoperasiannya. Setelah pelatihan, mayoritas peserta pelatihan berpersepsi bahwa Zotero lebih mudah untuk digunakan dibandingkan dengan End-Note. Mayoritas peserta pelatihan berpersepsi bahwa kedua reference management software yang diajarkan, baik Zotero maupun End-Note, mudah untuk digunakan dalam menulis sitasi dan daftar pustaka. Hasil survey juga menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta pelatihan menyatakan tingkat penguasaan materi baik dan cara penyampaian materi oleh penyaji menarik serta interaksi penyaji dan peserta baik.Kata kunci: Reference Management Software; Zotero; End-Note; Sitasi.AbstractThe obligation to write scientific papers for teachers encourages the importance of mastering reference management software so that the quality of citations and reference lists in scientific papers are in accordance with the desired format. This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and skills for teachers of SMKN 6 Malang about Zotero and EndNote reference management software. The workshop activities were carried out for two days. In addition, a survey of the workshop participant about reference management software and operations was also conducted before and after the workshop. The survey also contained perceptions of workshop participants regarding the delivery of training materials. From the survey results, it is known that the majority of workshop participants did not understand the reference management software and its operation before attending the workshop. After the workshop, most of the participants perceived that Zotero was easier to use compared to End-Note. Most of the participants also perceived that the two reference management software taught, both Zotero and End-Note, were easy to use in writing citations and references. The survey results also showed that the majority of participants stated that the level of mastery of the material was good and the way the material was presented by the presenters was interesting and the interaction between presenters and participants was good.Keywords: Reference Management Software; Zotero; End-Note; Citation.

Korban henti jantung bisa dialami oleh siapapun dan kapanpun tanpa mengenal tempat kejadian. Salah satu faktor penyebab tingginnya kematian akibat henti jantung adalah terlambatnya pertolongan yang diberikan kepada korban segera setelah henti jantung. Mayoritas kasus henti jantung terjadi di pra-Rumah Sakit, mencapai 72%. Pengetahuan dan ketrampilan orang awam yang baik, meningkatkan angka kelangsungan hidup korban henti jantung sebelum mendapatkan penanganan lanjutan di Rumah Sakit. Relawan adalah orang atau tim yang paling sering menjumpai kejadian henti jantung dan korban tidak sadar ketika melakukan pencarian dan evakuasi korban. Tujuan dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan relawan bencana. Proses pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri dari edukasi dan praktik dengan materi bantuan hidup dasar. Perubahan kognitif sebelum dan sesudah edukasi dievaluasi menggunakan pertanyaan, dengan nilai rata-rata 35 menjadi 85. Peserta sangat antusias dalam mengikuti program edukasi bantuan hidup dasar. Pengabdian masyarakat dengan memberikan pengetahuan untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan relawan dalam memberikan pertolongan kepada korban tidak sadar. Tindak lanjut dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu membuat tim relawan kolaborasi dengan medis untuk menangani kasus medis diluar Rumah Sakit Kata kunci: bantuan hidup dasar; ketrampilan; pengetahuan; relawan bencana IMPROVEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS BASIC LIFE ASSISTANCE IN DISASTER VOLUNTEERS ABSTRACT Victims of cardiac arrest can be experienced by anyone and at any time without knowing the scene. One of the factors causing the high death due to cardiac arrest is the late help given to victims immediately after cardiac arrest. The majority of cases of cardiac arrest occur in pre-hospital, reaching 72%. Good knowledge and skills of lay people, increase the survival rate of victims of cardiac arrest before getting further treatment at the Hospital. Volunteers are the people or teams that most often encounter cardiac arrest and the victim is unconscious when searching and evacuating victims. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of disaster volunteers. This community service process consists of education and practice with basic life support materials. Cognitive changes before and after education were evaluated using questions, with an average score of 35 to 85. Participants were very enthusiastic in participating in the basic life support education program. Community service by providing knowledge to improve volunteer skills in providing assistance to unconscious victims. Follow-up from this community service is to create a team of volunteers collaborating with the medical to handle medical cases outside the hospital. Background: Head and neck injuries as the etiology of death for road users. then there are efforts to overcome them with protective equipment for the head ie the helmet, the use of the right helmet is expected to reduce the burden of collisions directly to the head. Furthermore, when an accident occurs in a patient who is still wearing a helmet, the helper must understand the technique and how to properly remove the helmet. Purpose this community enganggement is necessary to obtain health education through community service in order to improve their knowledge and skills. Methods: In the implementation using question and answer lecture and demonstration models, with the module learning media. Pre-test and post-test is done by asking questions. Results: An increase in the number of correct answers between before and after health education was given. The average increase in the number of correct answers is between 3 to 4. Conclusion: After health education knowledge and skills increased.

Saat ini, akses masyarakat terhadap obat-obatan semakin mudah. Namun, hal tersebut tidak disertai dengan pemahaman yang benar terhadap obat-obatan. Akibatnya, hal tersebut menimbulkan berbagai masalah terkait obat seperti penggunasalahan dan pembuangan obat secara sembarangan. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat perlu diberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang benar tentang cara mendapatkan, menggunakan, menyimpan dan membuang obat (DAGUSIBU). Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa pendampingan dengan kegiatan utama penyuluhan dan demonstrasi tentang DAGUSIBU terhadap masyarakat di Kelurahan Keputeraan, Kota Lubuklinggau, Sumatera Selatan. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 34 orang peserta yang terdiri dari masyarakat dan kader kesehatan. Analisis keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan dengan melakukan evaluasi sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan. Dari kegiatan tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa hampir seluruh peserta tidak mengetahui tentang DAGUSIBU. Setelah diberikan penyuluhan dan demonstrasi, sebagian beserta dapat memamahi dengan baik dan memiliki keterampilan sederhana dalam DAGUSIBU. Dari hasil tersebut, diharapkan masyarakat dapat menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan ini telah dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam DAGUSIBU sehingga perlu diupayakan kegiatan yang berkesinambungan guna mencegah penggunasalahan obat dalam masyarakat. As a result, it raises various drug-related problems such as medicines abuse and indiscriminate disposal. Therefore, people need to be given the right knowledge and skills on how to get, use, store and dispose of medicines (DAGUSIBU). This community service activity is in the form of assistance with the main activities of counseling and demonstration about DAGUSIBU to the community in Keputeraan Village, Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra. About 34 participants consisting of community members and health cadres attended the activity. Analysis of the success of activities carried out by evaluating before and after counseling. From these activities, it can be seen that almost no participants knew about DAGUSIBU. After being given counseling and demonstration, some of them along with be able to understand well and have simple skills in DAGUSIBU. From these results, it is expected that the community can apply it in everyday life. Community service activities in the form of counseling have been able to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in DAGUSIBU so that it needs to be pursued in a sustainable activity to prevent the use of drug problems in the community. Self-medication activities are part of the community's efforts to take care of their health. Gevaarlijk and antibiotics are types of drugs that can only be obtained by prescription from a doctor. Both types of these drugs should not be stored because their use must be under the supervision and has the potential to cause bacterial resistance related to the use of antibiotics. Based on Riskesdas 2013, there are still many people who store gevaarlijk and antibiotics for self-medication. This shows the irrational use of drugs. Community service activities aim to improve knowledge and skills in the use of rational medicine. The method used is the Community-Based Interactive Approach method in which participants play an active role in activities. This participation is important to practice the ability and skill in solving problems. Activities carried out through counseling about the use of rational drugs and antibiotics, then continued with training and assistance for the rational use of drugs and antibiotics. End result of this activity is expected that the community will be able to apply rational drug use and disseminate this information to the wider community.

The KKN program is an effort to develop student creativity in helping and jumping directly to the problems that exist in society. That problem, including the lack optimal functioning of posyandu, such as recording and reporting of data that is still manual, lack of funds, and lack of cadre knowledge in Giving Additional Foods (PMT) varies. The community service activities are part of KKN activities many of 12 people  consisting of the Faculty of Government and Social Sciences, MIPA Faculty, Food Engineering Faculty, and Psychology Faculty. This activity was held in October until November 2018 in Pasawahan village. This activity is in the form of various training for cadres, such as training for the use of the iposyandu application for recording and reporting data during posyandu activities, training on Additional Food Making (PMT) to be given to toddlers who come to Posyandu as well as business fund training and sponsorship. Cadres were given a pretest and posttest before and after the training was given. With the implementation of various trainings, cadre knowledge and skills are improving in managing and implementing posyandu activities.

This study assessed the methods of teaching English course taught at the general diploma at the college of Graduate Studies in Education, Cairo University in light of English teachers’ needs and expectations. The Methodology course was reconstructed using the premises of students centered teaching techniques and taking into consideration what is identified by teachers as their basic needs to improve teachers’ linguistic skills and to allow teachers to get acquainted with recent teaching techniques that focus on enhancing the qualifications of the graduate students. The participants in the study were 50 English teachers who graduated from faculties of tongues and arts, English major. They were studying to get a general diploma in education. Some of them had different years of English teaching experience and others never taught in their life. Three instruments were implemented to elicit teachers’ needs from the methods of teaching English course: a pilot study to elicit teachers’ needs and expectations of the methodology course and a directed questionnaire that resulted in a number of suggested topics to be included in the methodology course. A pre and a posttest were administered before and after the implementation of the program to record changes in teachers’ knowledge and skills due to the application of the revised course. Teachers’ responses showed that the participants were dissatisfied with the topics and applications offered by the methods of teaching English course in its first form and suggested a number of topics and applications to be added to satisfy their future needs and expectations. The program was revised and reconstructed in light of teachers’ needs and it was taught for two semesters during the academic year 2014/ 2015. The results showed a noticeable improvement in teachers’ knowledge and skills, which were manifested in teachers’ responses to the posttest.

SummaryBrinase was administered intra-arterially in 16 patients with thrombotic or embolic arterial occlusions. Angiography could be performed before and after treatment in 13 patients. Thrombolysis was obtained in 3 of 9 patients with thrombotic and in 3 of 4 patients with embolic occlusions. In 3 patients severe local side effects occurred.

The problems faced by the children of Banjarmasin Al-Ashr Orphanage are almost the same as those faced by other orphanages in the city of Banjarmasin, namely, lack funds and personnel or volunteers who help and guide orphanage children to develop their skills and creativity as a provision in carrying out life after the completion of the orphanage. The purpose of this community service program is to make the children of the Al-Ashr Orphanage have a strong and more independent motivation by providing them with the knowledge and skills they will use to prepare themselves for the future. While the target of this activity is to make the children of the Al-Ashr Orphanage have design skills in making invitations, brochures, and banners as well as online businesses. The method used is training and guidance, where training is carried out with presentations and practices.

Objectives: To assess the effect of electronic acupuncture combined with “Tam ty thang” remedy in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis by wind-cold-damp. Materials and methods: prospective study, comparing before and after treatment, including 43 patients who were diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis by wind-cold-damp according to traditional medicine. Results: good level occupied 69,8%, and fair good level occupied 30,2%.The improved motor function accounted for 95.3%, to relieve pain up to 95,3%, reducing inflammation of VSS in 1 hour at the moment No 31,65, N28 17,88. The improvement in the level of activity of the hand reached 48,8% for good level. Conclusions: The method of electronic acupuncture combined with “Tam ty thang” remedy have a good effect in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis by wind-cold-damp and it didn’t cause significantly side effects in clinic.
