The increase of population in East Lombok Regency has an effect on the increase in the volume of waste, while the existing Waste Final Processing Sites (WFPS) are no longer able to accommodate the increasing volume of waste. The government also has not yet received a suitable location recommendation for the construction of a new WFPS, therefore it is very important to carry out a suitability analysis for the establishment of a new WFPS in East Lombok Regency to overcome the high volume of waste in the old WFPS. This study aims to determine a suitable location for WFPS development. This research is a quantitative descriptive study based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Determination of parameters for the analysis of the suitability of WFPS locations using the Indonesian National Standard (INS) Number 03-3241-1994. Data analysis technique uses overlay several maps using ArcGIS version 10.1 application. The analysis process is divided into three stages, namely: 1) the regional stage, which is the initial selection stage to determine the land suitability class; 2) the elimination stage, at this stage the elimination is carried out from the results in the first stage by using the values and weights of general parameters and physical parameters; 3) the appropriate location recommendation phase. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the suitable location to become WFPS in East Lombok Regency is Pringgabaya District with 164 score. Keywords: GIS analysis, WFPS,Lombok Timur

PBB-P2 is a type of tax in Indonesia, which in 2012 was converted into local tax from state tax. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of the PBB-P2 in Yogyakarta, as a source of real local income (PAD), and the contribution of PBB-P2 P2 to reach the level of the region's autonomy. The object of this study is the city of Yogyakarta and the method of data analysis using quantitative descriptive. The data of this research is secondary data, which is sourced from the relevant local government agencies between 2006 until 2015. The data is processed to calculate the potential PBB-P2, and its contribution to region’s autonomy. The results of this study indicate that the target of PBB-P2 which set by the government of Yogyakarta only 24.68% of the potential, which means targeting of PBB-P2 revenue on Yogyakarta is not optimal. When compared with the realization, the revenue of the PBB-P2 only amounted to 25.56% of its potential. This result suggests that revenue of PBB-P2 has exceeded the expected targets, but still not optimal. This condition indicates that the city of Yogyakarta can increase region’s autonomy through optimization of target setting and achievement of PBB-P2 revenue because of potential PBB-P2 which can be explored. PBB-P2 contribution rate to the PAD Yogyakarta between 2006-2015 an average of 16.15%, whereas the UN contribution to the PAD-P2 between 2006-2015 an average of 3.85%.Keywords: Potensial of PBB-P2, Yogyakarta city, region’s autonomy

Increases in the numbers of residents in a given location have the consequence of increasing the need for living space. However, diverse environmental conditions make it impossible to develop housing in every location. Spatial analysis is therefore useful in determining land suitability for housing development so that environmental problems are avoided. The aims of this study were to determine the projected land needs for housing in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia, as well as to perform suitable area mapping for housing through spatial analysis using five physical parameters (slope, disaster vulnerability, river and beach border, and protected area). The results showed that the land needed for housing in Pesisir Selatan increased every year. By 2020, it is predicted that the land allocation for housing will be 15.6–51.15 km2. Based on the spatial analysis, 21.657% of the area had high suitability (S1) for housing, 18.616% had moderate suitability (S2), 6.782% had low suitability (S3), and 52.944% was not suitable (N1). It is predicted that in 2020, the government will have to use the low suitability area despite its more significant risks. Therefore, it will be necessary to pay attention to mitigation aspects and housing technique manipulation in the steep slope area.
