Abstract., Today's education problems are the responsibility of all parties. In terms of implementation and concept, education should be divided and provide a concrete solution for the growth and development of the human resources of Indonesian children. Islamic boarding schools are one of the original educational features based on the Indonesian character. Islamic boarding schools in a long period of time have proven that education is an effort to develop humanity as a whole, starting from morals, intellectuals and skills and provisions for students in navigating life. Educational patterns that use a boarding school system are able to provide comprehensive learning. The concept of Islamic boarding school education makes learning not only limited to classrooms and books, it covers all dimensions of life in the daily activities of students. Morals are cultivated through habitual practice, knowledge is given in every activity that is tightly arranged for a full day. Islamic boarding schools are the legacy of the scholars and the hopes of the founding fathers of the nation. Pondok pesantren merupakan salah satu corak pendidikan yang original  yang berbasis pada karakter keindonesiaan. Pondok pesantren dalam kurun masa yang cukup panjang telah membuktikan bahwa pendidikan merupakan sebuah upaya untuk mengembangkan manusia secara keseluruhan, mulai dari akhlak, intelektual maupun keterampilan dan bekal bagi para peserta didik dalam mengarungi kehidupan. Corak pendidikan yang menggunakan sistem boarding school mampu memberikan pembelajaran yang komprehensif. Konsep Pendidikan pondok pesantren menjadikan pembelajaran tidak terbatas pada ruang kelas dan buku semata, tetapi mencakup seluruh dimensi kehidupan dalam aktifitas keseharian para peserta didik. Akhlak dibina melalui pembiasaan laku, pengetahuan diberikan dalam setiap aktifitas-aktiftas yang tersusun dengan ketat selama sehari penuh. Pondok pesantren adalah warisan para ulama dan harapan para pendiri bangsa. Thus, the development of the world of Islamic education, especially Islamic boarding schools, becomes more diverse and varied. Both in terms of the manhaj of thought, da'wah methods, and the forms and concepts of learning in Islamic boarding schools. This fact becomes a new problem for Muslims, for maintaining the congregation's values as Muslims, during the presence of differences in manhaj and methods of view on the da'wah of Islam itself. Therefore, in this study, researchers are interested in reviewing how the communication skills of KH. Soleh Iskandar in building collaboration and cooperation with Islamic boarding schools. Later it was recorded in history that he could initiate the birth of a cooperative forum for Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Namely the Boarding School Cooperation Agency (BKSPP). Researchers hope that the achievements that KH has made. Soleh Iskandar can be continued by the current generations of Islamic boarding schools. Fakta ini menjadi sebuah problematika baru bagi umat Islam, untuk bagaimana tetap menjaga nilai-nilai keberjamaahan sebagai umat Islam, di tengah hadirnya berbagai perbedaan manhaj dan metode pandang terhadap dakwah Islam itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini, peneliti tertarik untuk mengulas bagaimana kecakapan komunikasi KH. Soleh Iskandar dalam membangun kolaborasi dan kerja sama lembaga pesantren. dikemudian tercatat dalam sejarah mampu memprakarsai lahirnya wadah kerja sama pondok pesantren di Indonesia. Yaitu Badan Kerja sama Pondok Pesantren (BKSPP). Peneliti berharap bahwa pencapaian yang telah dilakukan KH. Soleh Iskandar dapat dilanjutkan oleh generasi-generasi pondok pesantren saat ini. Dalam upaya menguatkan fungsi dan peran pesantren dalam membina umat dan melahirkan pemimpin bagi masyarakat. </span></p>

KH Hasyim Asy'ari is a scholar who was born from an elite family of kiai in the Jombang area, he had studied at various boarding schools in Java before continuing his education to the Hijaz land. Then he returned to Indonesia and established the Tebuireng Jombang boarding school which is famous for its hadith science. The depth of knowledge, and his thinking in education is very brilliant, so he got the title "Hadratus Shaykh" which means "Mr. Professor". Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts in the field of Education are more viewed in terms of ethics in education. which relates to the principles of the implementation of education and psychology in the world of education which then gave birth to an effective personality for students and teaching. One of Hasyim Asy'ari's monumental works is the book entitled Adab al Alim wa al Muta'allim fima Yahtaj ilah al Muta'alim fi Ahuwal Ta'allum wama Yataqaff al Mu'allim fi Maqamat Ta'limih, In that book he summarizes his thoughts about Islamic education into eight points, namely: a) The virtue of knowledge and the importance of teaching and learning. b) Ethics that must be considered in teaching and learning, c) Ethics of a student to the teacher, d) Ethics of a student regarding lessons and things that must be guided by the teacher, e) Ethics that must be guided by a teacher, f) Ethics of the teacher when and will teach, g) The ethics of the teacher towards his students, h) The ethics of books, tools for getting lessons and things related to it.  Furthermore, in the eight theories about education are summarized in thethree concepts first, the significance of education. second, the tasks and responsibilities of students. Third, the duties and responsibilities of the teacher.

Nurhakim *)Fakultas Agama Islam UMMABSTRACTThe study described Imam Zarkasyi’s reconstruction thought about Islamic boarding schoolreformation. The study aimed at exploring Zarkasyi’s thought to be implemented as Islamiceducation reformation model for Islamic society modernization. The limitations of the study wereZarkasyi’s curriculum, empowerment on organizational management, and ethics training in Islamicboarding school. The finding revealed in three main points. First, Zarkasyi’s believed that IslamicEducation curriculum were to cover both religious principles, and modern sciences as well. Thus,the students were expected to master both Arabic and English. Second, organizational and charity(wakaf) management required significant improvement to strengthen Islamic boarding schoolinstitution in accordance to modern principles. Third, Islamic education boarding schools were toemphasize on values of sincerity, simplicity, independence, solidarity, and freedom to raise theawareness of the ethics in Islamic education schools. This study aims to see the potential of students in digital literacy transformation entering the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 at the Modern Muhammadiyah Boarding School Sleman Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and interviews with 10 students. The results of this study found that students have mastered the technology of digital literacy transformation of students in the potential of mastering digital literacy. This is because Islamic boarding schools still limit the length of time they use technology. Although this pesantren has used modern pesantren. Pesantren leaders must balance religious education with technology so that graduates are not less competitive when they enter tertiary institutions and the world of work. For future researchers, it will be deeper in digging up information and using more samples.

Educational management is an important reference in the management of industrial-based Islamic boarding schools. When the management of a leader must go through several things, including planning, organizing, and planning industry-based learning. This research includes a qualitative descriptive approach to da'wah management. The data source used in this research is a literature review. Collecting data in this study using observation, interviews, and documentation. Islamic boarding school Darussalam Al-Fatah Cilacap is an industry-based Islamic boarding school. This was done to follow developments in the industrial revolution 4.0. Therefore, researchers feel it is important for the management of Islamic education at the Darussalam Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school in Cilacap. The results of the application of Islamic education management include, a) soroggan, with the bin-nazhr method, the tahfidz method, the talaqqi method, and the tikrar method, b) taddabur, c) habituation of the Hasbanah and Isyraq prayers, d) rewards for students, e ) the application of industrial learning, and f) the benefits of evaluating industry-based learning at the Darussalam Al-Fatah Cilacap Islamic boarding school.

the basic principles of Islamic boarding school education, namely; Al Muhafadhah ala al-qadim al shalih wa al akhdzu bi al jadid al ashlah. This principle has encouraged pesantren to maintain good old Islamic values without denying better changes. This paper intends to explore two sides of the coin for Pondok Persantren where one side is a distinct advantage for but can be a boomerang that hinders the progress of Islamic education based on understanding the basic elements and values of Islamic boarding schools and, then contributing thoughts in building a holistic Islamic boarding school education so that can follow the development of science without losing the obligation to maintain basic values. Holistic pesantren education can only be achieved if it is reaffirmed that the elements of the boarding school education system are not oriented towards learning religious knowledge but how kyai, teachers / ustaz and santri can learn to live in religion.

da'wah in Indonesia. In addition, Islamic boarding schools are defined as sustainable ritual institutions, moral development institutions, as covering Islamic Education. It is also as social institutions that have experienced various life variations; which is adjusted to the burden of growth of the community in the midst of the pesantren. This research is intended to describe the history  and the social changes of the  communities of the Al-Ishlah Sidamulya Astanajapura Cirebon Islamic Boarding School. It is also to describe the role of the Boarding School in fostering the lives of the community around the pesantren. This study uses historical history studies. The results of this study indicated that the Al-Ishlah Sidamulya Islamic Boarding School is one of the pesantren which has an important role in matters relating to the Sidamulya community; in religious, educational, social and economic fields of the communities. The social changes happen in the communities are malima activity (the thief, main, madat, mabok, madon) changed to salima (shubuh, dhuhur, ashar, maghrib and isya). In addition, planting the values of Islam to show the real Muslim through routine tarikat (Tijaniyah), activities of manakiban, tahlilan and tadarrusan.

Islamic Boarding School education (Pesantren) began to be in great demand by the community as a place for formal and informal education. The main attraction of pesantren education is the embeded of character and religious knowledge which cannot be obtained in formal education. The application of Islamic character habituation applied to the daily life of students (santri) in Islamic boarding schools cannot be separated from the role of Kyai, Nyai as well as ustadz and ustadzah. The pattern of parenting and social development applied to students aims to change the students characters into virtuous characters in accordance with Islamic concepts. The habituation of Islamic character is carried out through the daily activities of students in Islamic boarding schools. This research with a theoretical approach tries to analyze the concept of parenting and social development of adolescents applied in Islamic boarding schools. The results of this study indicate that Parenting at Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School uses democratic parenting. The role of Kyai and Nyai as role models and mentors is a form of embodiment of religious characters. The application of discipline in the Islamic Boarding School did by using democratic and responsible parenting approach. ABSTRAKPendidikan Pondok Pesantren (Pesantren) mulai banyak diminati oleh masyarakat sebagai wadah pendidikan formal maupun informal. Daya tarik utama pendidikan pesantren adalah tertanamnya budi pekerti dan ilmu agama yang tidak dapat diperoleh dalam pendidikan formal. Penerapan pembiasaan karakter Islami yang diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari santri (santri) di pondok pesantren tidak lepas dari peran Kyai, Nyai serta ustadz dan ustadzah. Pola asuh dan pengembangan sosial yang diterapkan pada siswa bertujuan untuk mengubah karakter siswa menjadi karakter yang berbudi luhur sesuai dengan konsep Islam. Pembiasaan karakter islami dilakukan melalui aktivitas keseharian santri di pondok pesantren. Penelitian dengan pendekatan teoritis ini mencoba menganalisis konsep pola asuh dan perkembangan sosial remaja yang diterapkan di pondok pesantren. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pola asuh di Pondok Pesantren Darunnajah menggunakan pola asuh demokratis. Peran Kyai dan Nyai sebagai suri tauladan dan pembimbing merupakan salah satu bentuk perwujudan karakter religius. Penerapan disiplin di Pondok Pesantren dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan pola asuh yang demokratis dan bertanggung jawab.

AbstractPesantren Nurussalam Ciamis is often associated with the movement of Abu Bakar Ba’asyir who was caught in Banjar in August 2010. Even in 2013, this Islamic boarding school is linked again with the arrest of terrorist Anton whois allegedly an alumnus of Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School. After the bombing of Thamrin on January 14, 2016, Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is indicated by the National Agency for Combating Terrorism (BNPT) as one of radical Islamic boarding schools. The question is whether Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is really a source of radicalism. To answer that question, wesee two aspects of Pesantren Nurussalam namely its education method and religious understanding. Through qualitative method, it is found that Pesantren Nurussalam education system generally refers to the national education system plus Islamic education system adopted from Gontor and Ngruki models. The educational system built is not separated from the religious understanding ofthe founders and managers who understand salaf, more precisely salaf puris cooperationis. The objectives of this study are 1) To determine the role of the yellow book on the formation of Islamic education thought in traditional Islamic boarding schools. 2) To find out the role of the yellow book in forming the character of students in traditional Islamic boarding schools. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type, and through the Education and Sociological approaches. The research location was conducted in two Islamic boarding schools, namely Bany Syafi'I Cilegon and Madarijul 'Ulum Serang. In this study the research subjects were Kiai, Ustadz / Ustadzah, board of pesantren, and santriwan / santriwati of Islamic boarding school. The research subjects used purposive sampling technique, namely determining the source of the data obtained with certain considerations and snowball sampling, namely determining the sample from a small amount to become large. When the research was carried out on August 1, 2019 to October 25, 2019 for 3 months. The role of the yellow book in shaping the character of students in the Bany Syafi'i and Madarijul 'Ulum Islamic boarding schools is still visible in terms of santri obedience to their teachers, ta'dziman wa takriman attitude towards their knowledge and also towards their environment, all of which can be assessed and formed from the results Uswatun Hasanah's attitude is a teacher / kiai. And also the role of the yellow book in shaping the character of students can obey and obey a student in accordance with what is taught by a teacher, with the demands of the book ta'limul muta'alim as the main reference and provision of the main character of the students in the Islamic boarding school, so that with good character it will create good personality and discipline too.
