<p class="15bIsiAbstractBInggris"><em><span lang="EN-US">Various schools and styles of Islamic da'wah thought entered and developed in Indonesia. Thus, the development of the world of Islamic education, especially Islamic boarding schools, becomes more diverse and varied. Both in terms of the manhaj of thought, da'wah methods, and the forms and concepts of learning in Islamic boarding schools. This fact becomes a new problem for Muslims, for maintaining the congregation's values as Muslims, during the presence of differences in manhaj and methods of view on the da'wah of Islam itself. Therefore, in this study, researchers are interested in reviewing how the communication skills of KH. Soleh Iskandar in building collaboration and cooperation with Islamic boarding schools. Later it was recorded in history that he could initiate the birth of a cooperative forum for Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Namely the Boarding School Cooperation Agency (BKSPP). Researchers hope that the achievements that KH has made. Soleh Iskandar can be continued by the current generations of Islamic boarding schools. Sehingga membuat perkembangan dunia pendidikan Islam, khususnya pondok pesantren menjadi lebih beragam dan bervariatif. Baik dalam hal manhaj pemikiran, metode dakwah, hingga bentuk dan konsep pembelajaran di pesantren. Fakta ini menjadi sebuah problematika baru bagi umat Islam, untuk bagaimana tetap menjaga nilai-nilai keberjamaahan sebagai umat Islam, di tengah hadirnya berbagai perbedaan manhaj dan metode pandang terhadap dakwah Islam itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini, peneliti tertarik untuk mengulas bagaimana kecakapan komunikasi KH. Soleh Iskandar dalam membangun kolaborasi dan kerja sama lembaga pesantren. dikemudian tercatat dalam sejarah mampu memprakarsai lahirnya wadah kerja sama pondok pesantren di Indonesia. Yaitu Badan Kerja sama Pondok Pesantren (BKSPP). Peneliti berharap bahwa pencapaian yang telah dilakukan KH. Soleh Iskandar dapat dilanjutkan oleh generasi-generasi pondok pesantren saat ini. Dalam upaya menguatkan fungsi dan peran pesantren dalam membina umat dan melahirkan pemimpin bagi masyarakat. </span></p>

It is also as social institutions that have experienced various life variations; which is adjusted to the burden of growth of the community in the midst of the pesantren. This research is intended to describe the history  and the social changes of the  communities of the Al-Ishlah Sidamulya Astanajapura Cirebon Islamic Boarding School. It is also to describe the role of the Boarding School in fostering the lives of the community around the pesantren. This study uses historical history studies. The results of this study indicated that the Al-Ishlah Sidamulya Islamic Boarding School is one of the pesantren which has an important role in matters relating to the Sidamulya community; in religious, educational, social and economic fields of the communities. The social changes happen in the communities are malima activity (the thief, main, madat, mabok, madon) changed to salima (shubuh, dhuhur, ashar, maghrib and isya). In addition, planting the values of Islam to show the real Muslim through routine tarikat (Tijaniyah), activities of manakiban, tahlilan and tadarrusan.

The objectives of this study are 1) To determine the role of the yellow book on the formation of Islamic education thought in traditional Islamic boarding schools. 2) To find out the role of the yellow book in forming the character of students in traditional Islamic boarding schools. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type, and through the Education and Sociological approaches. The research location was conducted in two Islamic boarding schools, namely Bany Syafi'I Cilegon and Madarijul 'Ulum Serang. In this study the research subjects were Kiai, Ustadz / Ustadzah, board of pesantren, and santriwan / santriwati of Islamic boarding school. The research subjects used purposive sampling technique, namely determining the source of the data obtained with certain considerations and snowball sampling, namely determining the sample from a small amount to become large. When the research was carried out on August 1, 2019 to October 25, 2019 for 3 months. The role of the yellow book in shaping the character of students in the Bany Syafi'i and Madarijul 'Ulum Islamic boarding schools is still visible in terms of santri obedience to their teachers, ta'dziman wa takriman attitude towards their knowledge and also towards their environment, all of which can be assessed and formed from the results Uswatun Hasanah's attitude is a teacher / kiai. And also the role of the yellow book in shaping the character of students can obey and obey a student in accordance with what is taught by a teacher, with the demands of the book ta'limul muta'alim as the main reference and provision of the main character of the students in the Islamic boarding school, so that with good character it will create good personality and discipline too.

This study aims to analyze the role of the Riyadhul Jannah Islamic Boarding School in community economic empowerment in Pacet Village, Mojokerto. This study uses a qualitative research approach to understand phenomena about what is experienced by research subjects, such as subjects, perceptions, motivations, actions, and so forth. The results showed that the Riyadhul Jannah Islamic boarding school had a role in community empowerment around the boarding school. The role of Islamic boarding schools is shown by the activities of the business units of PT. Rijan Dinamis Selaras which involve communities around the boarding schools so that the benefits can be felt directly by the people of Pacet Village and its surroundings.Keywords: Economic Empowerment, Islamic Business, Islamic Communities

Abstract: Modern Islamic boarding schools are also called  pesantren kholaf (modern)  as acronyms of salaf or ashriyah. The model of integration of Islam, science and culture is contained in the conditions of the Islamic boarding school, the methods, traditions and intellectual spirit of the santri in the pesantren Khalaf  with all the combination of Islamic values ​​and culture, having challenges that must be overcome in facing challenges in the global era. With its very integrated the slogan, al muhafadhah 'ala al qadim al shalih wa al-ahdz bi al-jadid allashlah (holding good old things and taking new things better. This slogan can be the key to reconciling tradition and modernization: Modernization in Islamic education is a renewal that occurs in Islamic boarding schools, at least it can erase the image of some people who consider Islamic boarding schools to be traditional educational institutions, now they want to produce true scientists who are able to produce ulama. protect the people and advance the nation and state. Answering the needs of the era, schools Salaf open formal educational institutions. Sensitivitypesantren Salaf against the phenomena that appear in the society is a social concern and reflexive owned evenare characteristic. So that the aspirations of the people making the boarding school received the developmentand advancement of science and technology. The real step taken is establishing formal educational institutionsfrom kindergarten through college. The character of a scholar is asceticism and totality. On the other hand,people still expect the efficacy of the function and role of pesantren Salaf like period once, without knowing thatit is actually what is expected it is experiencing overcast condition and shrinkage. Expenses are given the addedweight and more and more, but the ability to lift a boarding school in general was declining. Source overcastcondition and depreciation mainly boils down to the weight and quality of the “clerics who brought up”. The role of ulama is very important for the community in protecting the interests of the community. Ulama occupy an important position in the moral formation of society, even during the colonial period. Ulama leadership in the world of politics was very influential in the struggle against Dutch colonialism in Banten. The position of the ulama is inseparable from the prevailing tradition in the santri community, especially in rural areas which assume that in religion someone must follow what has been passed down by the ulama. Abuya Tb. Abdul Halim was a very charismatic cleric and his influence was very large for the people of Pandeglang. He was born around 1889 in Kadu Peusing Village, Kabayan Village, Pandeglang Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency. The struggle of Abuya Tb. Abdul Halim started since he built Islamic boarding schools, Abuya thoughts Tb. Abdul Halim was very influenced by Sheikh Nawawi Tanara because Abuya Tb.Abdul Halim had studied with Sheikh Nawawi Tanara. The spirit of his struggle was poured out by participating in religious meetings, practicing his knowledge and supporting organizations such as Masyumi and NU. In 1945 Abuya Tb. Abdul Halim appeared in the struggle against the Dutch colonial until he was appointed Regent in Pandeglang in 1945-1947.

Abstract., Today's education problems are the responsibility of all parties. In terms of implementation and concept, education should be divided and provide a concrete solution for the growth and development of the human resources of Indonesian children. Islamic boarding schools are one of the original educational features based on the Indonesian character. Islamic boarding schools in a long period of time have proven that education is an effort to develop humanity as a whole, starting from morals, intellectuals and skills and provisions for students in navigating life. Educational patterns that use a boarding school system are able to provide comprehensive learning. The concept of Islamic boarding school education makes learning not only limited to classrooms and books, it covers all dimensions of life in the daily activities of students. Morals are cultivated through habitual practice, knowledge is given in every activity that is tightly arranged for a full day. Islamic boarding schools are the legacy of the scholars and the hopes of the founding fathers of the nation. Konsep Pendidikan pondok pesantren menjadikan pembelajaran tidak terbatas pada ruang kelas dan buku semata, tetapi mencakup seluruh dimensi kehidupan dalam aktifitas keseharian para peserta didik. Akhlak dibina melalui pembiasaan laku, pengetahuan diberikan dalam setiap aktifitas-aktiftas yang tersusun dengan ketat selama sehari penuh. Pondok pesantren adalah warisan para ulama dan harapan para pendiri bangsa. Tulisan ini bermaksud untuk meneliti dan memetakan pemikiran Azyumardi Azra tentang pendidikan Islam, namun memfokuskan kajian pada lembaga pendidikan Islam informal, pesantren. Dalam pandangan Azra, pesantren sebagai bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dengan pendidikan nasional telah diakui perannya sebagai agen perubahan sosial. Karenanya, ia dituntut untuk terus memainkan perannya secara proaktif dan dinamis. Kehadirannya diharapkan terus menjadi cahaya pencerah,  membawa perubahan, sekaligus memberi kontribusi berarti bagi perbaikan kehidupan seluruh umat manusia pada umumnya dan umat Islam khususnya. Namun,seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, lebih-lebih di era globalisasi seperti sekarang ini,  pesantren kini menghadapi masalah-masalah (akibat dampak globalisasi) yang tidak kunjung selesai bahkan hingga membenang kusut. Akibatnya, pesantren kini dipandang oleh banyak kalangan (baik dari pengelola pendidikan Islam itu sendiri maupun masyarakat luas) sebagai pendidikan kelas dua (second class). Karena itu, agar pesantren mampu terus memainkan perannya dengan baik, yakni menjadi produsen yang menghasilkan manusia-manusia yang berilmu, berteknologi, berketerampilan tinggi, dan sekaligus beriman dan beramal saleh, ia harus dimodernisasi secara serius sesuai dengan kerangka modernitas. Sebab, mempertahankan pemikiran kelembagaan Islam “tradisional” hanya akan memperpanjang nestapa ketidakberdayaan kaum muslim dalam berhadapan dengan kemajuan dunia modern. This paper intends to examine the Azyumardi Azra thinking about Islamic education and focuses on informal Islamic education institutions, boarding school (Pesantren). In view of Azra, boarding schools as an integral part of national education has been recognized its role as agents of social change. Therefore, they are required to continue their role in a proactive and dynamic way. Theirpresence is expected to bring about change, as well as provide significant contributions to improve the people lives in general and Muslims in particular. However, along with the times, especially in globalization era, boarding schools are facing problems due to the impact of globalization,whichis not finished even to the fibrous tangles. As a result, boarding schools are now regarded by many people(both of the Islamic education manager and the broader community) as a second class education.Therefore, in order to continue its role, i.e. to producehuman beings who have knowledge, technology, highly skilled, devout and do good behave, they must be seriously modernized in accordance with the framework of modernity. In case of maintaining the Islamic "traditional" institutional thinking will only prolong the agony of Muslim helplessness in dealing with the development of modern world.

This study investigates the prevention of juvenile delinquency at a boarding school, i.e. Daarut Tauhid Secondary Boarding School. The aim of this study is to explore the preventive and repressive attempts made by the boarding school to overcome juvenile delinquency. This study employed a qualitative approach in the framework of a study case method. Observation, interview, and documentation were used as the data collection. The informants of this study consisted of Darut Tauhid Boarding School staffs, the students, and the people who lived around the school area. The results of this study show that the preventive and repressive attempt to prevent juvenile delinquency is made by maximizing the role of Islamic education.

This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach which aims to describe the strategies carried out by Al Mawaddah Jekulo Kudus Entrepreneur Islamic Boarding School and Shofa Azzahro 'Gembong Pati Islamic Boarding School, Central Java, Indonesia in fostering entrepreneurial character and santri leadership. Data collection methods used consist of interviews, documents, and observations, methods of data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the entrepreneurship activities of Al Mawaddah Jekulo Kudus Entrepreneurial Islamic Boarding School and Islamic Boarding School Shofa Azzahro 'Gembong went well. Likewise, the goal applied is that a santri must balance the life of the world and the hereafter. Because basically a santri must also think about the life of the world, not only those who are religious. The forms of entrepreneurship activities carried out are through training, dragon fruit cultivation, making chips from cassava, making Moka flour, syrup, sugar suppliers, cooperatives and umroh bureaus etc. The background of the activities carried out in Islamic boarding schools is to emulate the figure of the Prophet Muhammad who is a successful businessman figure and a form of modernization of learning activities in Islamic boarding schools in facing the challenges of the times. Entrepreneurship and leadership activities can be a medium in shaping the students to become independent individuals, stimulating creative ideas and intelligent communication with various groups.
