The study deals with the issues related to the contribution and the need of information literacy. This study has explored the importance of information literacy in academic work among the Nepali students of higher education. Plagiarism is the technical term for stealing someone else’s intellectual property. The research examined the truth about the understanding about plagiarism and copyright issues in the use of information. This quantitative study is aligned towards positivist paradigm and adopted survey design for data collection. The population of the study was students of higher education of Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University and Pokhara University. Two hundred and fifty-four (254) sample populations were drawn using sample size formula for data. For this purpose, simple random sampling was used to determine the number of the sample population. The sample population was selected using random sampling procedure. The data were collected using survey method and were analyzed using SPSS descriptive statistics used for the purpose of data analysis. The findings of this study showed that information literacy is important and helpful in academic works in higher education. Students of higher education rely on the internet and library for their academic resources in Nepal. The use of information literacy is expected to be the part of education to make the learning process effective. This study also focused on the use of right information in appropriate ways among the students of higher education of Nepal. Research indicated that there was lack of understanding what students know and use about the supplied information in higher education in Nepal.

<p>The present research aims to study the impacts of stress on learning English among English students in Saveh city. Using descriptive survey method and simple random sampling, the research was completed on a sample population of 60 among all the English learners in Saveh city. The learners have been homogenous in assistance with Preliminary English Test (PET), and then using the standard questionnaire of Ang vo Goran’s (2006), the students have been divided into two groups (with stress and without stress).The validity of instruments has been confirmed by the supervisor and the validity was calculated 0.76. An achievement test including 67 questions has been used as the research instrument. The comparative test, which was the most significant result of the research, suggested that stress is an obstacle to learning process.</p>

<p>The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of learning discipline <br />and logical mathematical intelligence on mathematics achievement. This study is a survey design. This research did in student class XI IPA SMA Negeri 98 Jakarta semester 2012/2013. The sample taken by simple random sampling technique, involved 40 students. The instrument were in the forms of questionnaires and tests. The data were analyzed first by test requirements, the normality test, linearity and multicollinearity. Based on the fulfillment of the criteria in terms of the tes analyzed, inferential analysis to the test the research hypothesis. The data were analyzed using correlation and multiple regression. The findings showed that (1) learning discipline and logical mathematical intelligence had a positive and significant simultaneous impact on mathematics achievement. (2) learning discipline had a positive and significant impact on mathematics achievement. (3) logical mathematical intelligence had a positive and significant impact on mathematics achievement. </p>

Abstract. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the growing interest in learning of students in Athira Makassar Islamic Elementary school in class 4.1. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive survey method. The population of the research was 74 fourth grade students of Athira Makassar Islamic Elementary school, consist of 4 classes, the sampling using simple random sampling technique, so that class 4.1 was chosen as a sample of 20 students. Data were analyzed using statistical data analysis technique which consisted of editing, data tabulated stages, then presented and then presented in table form and described descriptively. The result showed a percentage of learning method 14,41%, the geographical location of the school 12,56%, phisycal indikator 11,78%, learning models 11,74%, talent 9,18%, learning models 8,54%, indikator of needs 6,28%, social competence 5,97%, building indikator 5,77%, personality competence 5,43%, and pedagogic competence 5,30%. It was concluded that the learning method was the most influential factor in the growth of student`s interest in learning at Athira Makassar Islamic Elementary school grade 4.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi tumbuhnya minat belajar siswa di SD Islam Athirah Makassar kelas 4.1. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei deskriptif.Populasi penelitian adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas 4 SD  Islam Athirah Baruga Makassar berjumlah 74 orang siswa yang terdiri dari empat kelas, penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling, sehingga terpilih kelas 4.1 sebagai sampel yang berjumlah 20 orang siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik yang terdiri dari tahap penyuntingan, input data, dan tahap tabulasi,selanjutnya dipersentasekan kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase metode pembelajaran 14,41%, letak geografis sekolah (12,56%), indikator fisik (11,78%), model pembelajaran (11,74%), bakat (9,18%), model pembelajaran (8,54%), indikator kebutuhan (6,28%), kompetensi sosial (5,97%), indikator bangunan (5,77%), kompetensi kepribadian (5,43%), dan kompetensi pedagogik (5,30%).Disimpulkan bahwa, metode pembelajaran adalah faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap tumbuhnya minat belajar siswa di SD Islam Athirah Makassar kelas 4.

The present study aimed to investigate the attitude of prospective teachers towards inclusive education in relation to gender and academic stream. The respondents were teacher trainees of district Mohali of Punjab. A sample of 100 B.Ed students (N=50 boys and 50 girls) by employing simple random sampling. Descriptive survey method was employed; attitude towards inclusive education scale was used, Analysis of Variance and for the significant F- ratio, the t-test was used for testing the significance of difference between the mean scores different groups on variables under study. The study revealed that (a) There exists significant differences in attitude of prospective teachers towards the concept of inclusive education for children with disabilities with respect to gender (b) There exists no significant differences in attitude of prospective teachers towards the concept of inclusive education for children with disabilities with respect to academic stream and (c) There exists no significant differences in attitude of prospective teachers towards the concept of inclusive education for children with disabilities with respect to interaction effect of academic stream and gender.

This research was conducted to determine the relationship between the quality of the Principal's leadership and organizational culture with the performance of SMAN 28 Tangerang District employees. The study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational survey method, using correlation theory which is about product moment. Research data collection techniques from respondents carried out through questionnaires or questionnaires. The sample population was 103 employees in each section of SMAN 28 Tangerang, with simple random sampling technique. The magnitude of the effect of leadership quality and organizational culture together on employee performance by 87.2% This shows the higher the quality of leadership and organizational culture, the better the performance of employees, and vice versa the lower the quality of leadership and organizational culture will have an impact for employee performance.

Gender inequalities in development programs is problem that still going on. One of program from the government that relate to agricultural development policies and apply the principle of gender mainstreaming is Integrated Crop Management Field School Program (SL-PTT) in rural areas. The general purpose of this research is to analyze the level of gender equality in SL-PTT program, and analyze the relationship between the level of gender equality with success rate of SL-PTT program. This research using quantitative data with survey method using simple random sampling technique and analyzed by cross tabulation and Rank Spearman. This research supported by qualitative data with in-depth interviews. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between the level of gender equality  and success rate of SL-PTT program.Keywords: gender analysis, gender equality, the success rate of the program================================================ABSTRAKProgram pembangunan yang belum memenuhi adanya kesetaraan gender menjadi permasalahan yang sampai saat ini berlangsung. Salah satu program dari pemerintah yang berkaitan dengan kebijakan pembangunan pertanian yang menerapkan prinsip pengarusutamaan gender adalah program Sekolah Lapang Pengelolaan Tanaman terpadu (SL-PTT) di perdesaan. Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat kesetaraan gender program SL-PTT, dan menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat kesetaraan gender dengan tingkat keberhasilan program SL-PTT. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kuantitatif dengan metode survei dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dianalisis menggunakan tabulasi silang dan Rank Spearman didukung dengan data kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara tingkat keterlibatan peserta SL-PTT  dengan tingkat keberhasilan program SL-PTT.Kata Kunci :  Analisis gender, kesetaran gender, keberhasilan program

Chemical and Microbiological Quality Characteristics of Dried Octopus (Octopus sp.) Marketed in North Konawe Regency Southeast Sulawesi ABSTRACT         The aim of this study was to determine the characteristics of chemical composition (water, ash, protein, fat, and carbohydrate) and total bacteria (TPC) of dried Octopus. Data analysis of this study used descriptive analysis. The sampling technique of this study are used simple random sampling and used the survey method. The results of the highest chemical composition of the treatment was found at water content  S1 19.89%, ash S3 13.63%, protein S2 46.99%, fat S3 5.82% and carbohydrate S2 10.19%.  The best Total Plate Count (TPC) result was found at S2 3.8 × 104 Cfu/g Keywords: Chemical Test, Octopus (Octopus sp.) Dry, and Total Plate Count (TPC).ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik komposisi kimia (kadar air, kadar abu, kadar protein, kadar lemak, dan kadar karbohidrat) dan total bakteri (TPC) terhadap gurita kering. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode survei. Hasil penelitian komposisi kimia perlakuan tertinggi kadar air terdapat pada S1 19.89%, kadar abu tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan S3 13.63%, kadar protein perlakuan tertinggi terdapat pada S2 46.99%, kadar lemak perlakuan tertinggi terdapat pada  S3 5.82% dan kadar karbohidrat perlakuan tertinggi terdapat pada S2 10.19%. This research aims to knowing the influence of peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products in teenagers. This research was conducted at the 140 Junior High School in Jakarta. This research method using survey method.  Population inthis reseach is student grade nine, with the total sample is 70 respondents. Data was taken by using simple random sampling. The hypothesis test data used is product moment correlation coeffcient with  result     rxyhitung  >  rxytabel,  atau 0,704 > 0,235. Result of t-test with significance level  0.05 obtained 8,17 > 1,995 or thitung > ttabel  means that is correlation beetween peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products. Result of regression obtained Fhitung 66,78, and Ftabel 3,985 so that Fhitung < Ftabel means that there is a significant influence between peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products in teenagers. Contribution peer group function of purchasing decisions (information search) cosmetic products in teenagers as big as 49,56%, and the remaining 50,44% is determined by other factors which is not examined. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) produk kosmetik  pada remaja. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama 140 Jakarta. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswi kelas IX, dengan jumlah sampel 70 responden. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Uji hipotesis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi koefisien product moment dengan hasil disimpulkan rxyhitung > rxytabel , atau 0,704 > 0,235. Hasil uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 diperoleh 8,17 > 1,995 atau thitung > ttabel yang berarti terdapat korelasi antara fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) produk kosmetik. Perhitungan uji signifikansi regresi diperoleh hasil perhitungan Fhitung 66,78 dan Ftabel 3,98 sehingga Fhitung < Ftabel artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) produk kosmetik. Konstribusi fungsi peer group terhadap pengambilan keputusan pembelian (pencarian informasi) sebesar 49,56%, sedangkan sisanya yaitu 50,44% ditentukan dengan faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.

ANALYSIS OF FARMERS' PERCEPTIONS TOWARD THE ROLE OF COUNSELING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PIG FARMING ON AGRIBUSINESS IN GIWAN VILLAGE, TIOM DISTRICT, LANNY JAYA REGENCY. The objective of this study was to determine farmer’s perceptons toward the role of agricultural extension agents in the development of pig livestock agribusiness for breeder’s in Giwan Village, Tiom District, Lanny Jaya Regency. This study used a survey method. Sample of group breeder wasdetermined by purposive sampling and sample of breeders was selected by simple random sampling method. The results of the study showed that: (1) Most pig farmers in Giwan village had good or high perceptions of extension workers in their roles as educators (80%), still have moderate as consultants (75%), as motivators (75%), and as organizers (80%) of farmers in providing counseling in Giwan village. The conclusion of this research was farmers in Giwan village have good perceptions of extension workers in their roles as educators, motivators, and as organizers of farmers in managing pigs' business.Keywords:  Agribusiness, Pig Farm, Extension, Giwan.

This study aims to prove the relationship between leadership and teacher motivation on performance. . This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach that explains causal relationships or correlations commonly called path analysis. The survey was conducted from February to May 2019 involving 124 Ambon State Vocational School teachers. The sample in this study used the Slovin formula with an instrument trial of 60 teachers. The sampling technique is determined randomly or simple random sampling. The findings of the research results are as follows (1) The influence of leadership style has a positive direct effect on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient of 0.262 and a path coefficient of 0.233. A good leadership style will have a positive influence on improving teacher performance. (2) Work motivation has a positive direct effect on teacher performance, the correlation coefficient value is 0.179 and the path coefficient value is 0.124. This means that the higher the work motivation that a teacher has will improve his performance. (3) The influence of leadership style has a direct positive effect on work motivation with a correlation value of 0.233 and a path coefficient value of 0.233. This means that a principal's leadership style that is positively constructive will have an impact on increasing the motivation of the work of the teachers. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan hubungan antara kepemimpinan dan motivasi guru terhadap kinerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang menjelaskan hubungan atau korelasional kausal yang biasa disebut analisis jalur. Survey dilakukan sejak Februari sampai Mei 2019 dengan melibatkan 124 orang guru SMK Negeri Ambon. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan uji coba instrument sebanyak 60 guru. Teknik pengambilan sampel ditentukan secara acak atau simple random sampling. Temuan dari hasil penelitan sebagai berikut (1) Pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,262 dan nilai koefisien jalur sebesar 0,233. Gaya kepemimpinan yang baik akan memberi pengaruh yang positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru. (2) Motivasi kerja pengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja guru, nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,179 dan nilai koefisien jalur sebesar 0,124. Hal ini berarti semakin tingginya motivasi kerja yang dimiliki seorang guru akan meningkatkan kinerja. (3) Pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap motivasi kerja dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,233 dan nilai koefisien jalur sebesar 0,233. Hal ini memberi arti bahwa gaya kepemimpinan seorang kepala sekolah yang positif membangun akan memberi dampak kepada peningkatan motivasi kerja para guru.
