This research aims to describe the ability of students to identify singular and plural nouns in the paragraph. The researchers use random sampling techniques to collect the data. Forty students at second semester of English Department in Putera Batam University are taken as the sample. In analyzing the data, researchers classify or categorize the ability of students into six levels: excellent, very good, good, fair, poor, and very poor. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the ability of second semester students of English Department in Putera Batam University in identifying the singular and plural nouns in a paragraph is good. The results show that three students (7.5%) are categorized as excellent, ten students or 25% are categorized as very good, eleven students (27.5%) are categorized as good, six students (15%) are categorized as fair, six students (15%) are categorized as poor and four students (10%) are categorized as very poor. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ability of students is good.Keywords: singular, plural, paragraf.

This study aimed to investigate the gender differences in terms of anxiety among Yemeni university EFL learners. It also aimed to investigate the correlation between the level of anxiety and the academic achievement of the students. The participants of this study were 155 students chosen from the population through stratified random sampling. The participants are selected from English Department, Faculty of Arts, Ibb University, Yemen. The data was collected by using a questionnaire adopted from Yassin (2015), and the data was analysed by using 22nd version of the SPSS. The data of the first question was analysed by using T-test and the result of the analysis showed that the females experienced higher level of anxiety than male students, but the difference between both groups is not significant. The second question was analysed by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and the result showed that there is not significant correlation between the level of anxiety and the academic achievement of the students.

This study aims to find out the implementation of uno card games on motivation and learning outcomes in motion system materials in class XI MAN Tasikmalaya Regency. This research was conducted from November to January 2020 in MAN Tasikmalaya Regency. Sample research as many as 2 classes, with sampling using cluster random sampling techniques. The instruments used in this study were test results of learning on motion system materials as many as 32 items of questions and motivational questionnaires learned as many as 22 items of statement. Data analysis techniques using U Mann Whitney. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there is a positive influence of uno card games on the motivation and learning outcomes of learners on motion system materials in class XI MAN Tasikmalaya Regency.

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat peran iklim sekolah dan keyakinan normatif mengenai agresi terhadap agresivitas siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, dan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa multistage random sampling dan melibatkan 471 siswa SMA dan sederajat. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga jenis skala untuk mengukur agresivitas, iklim sekolah, dan keyakinan normatif mengenai agresi. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan regresi linier berganda yang menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara iklim sekolah dan keyakinan normatif mengenai agresi terhadap agresivitas siswa. Menurut hasil uji parsial terlihat bahwa keyakina normatif mengenai agresi berperan lebih besar terhadap agresivitas siswa dibandingkan dengan iklim sekolah.  Kata Kunci: Agresivitas, Iklim Sekolah, Keyakinan Normatif, Siswa ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to look at the role of school climate and normative beliefs about aggression against the aggressiveness of the students in the school. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey methods, and the use of sampling techniques such as multistage random sampling and involve 471 senior high school students. Data were collected using three types of scales to measure aggressiveness, school climate, and normative beliefs about aggression. The hypothesis was tested using multiple linear regression showed that there is significant relationship between school climate and normative beliefs about aggression against the aggressiveness of the students. Abstrack: Adolescent is a situation for looking identity and shape of personality. The factors that greatly influence personality are parenting system. Various parenting system provided by parents is authoritarian, democratic, and permissive that can determine personality for their children later. Personality can be seen based on Big five personality. The purpose of this research was to determine the relations between parenting style with personality in adolescents at Junior High School 1 Remboken. The research method used cross sectional approach. The respondents consisted of 115 adolescents of IX grade with sampling techniques using simple random sampling techniques. The data collection using a parenting style ang Big five personality questionnaire. Test results of Pearson Chi-square tes obtained were smaller than the significant value of (α=0,05) in the Conscientiouness personality (ρ=0,000), Ekstravertion (ρ=0,005), and Neoriticism (ρ=0,000). Conclusion of the results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between parenting style with Conscientiouness personality, Ekstravertion & Neoriticism.Keywords : Personality, big five personality, parenting, adolescentsAbstrak : Remaja merupakan masa mencari jati diri dan membentuk kepribadian. Adapun faktor yang sangat berpengaruh besar terhadap kepribadian yaitu pola asuh orang tua. Berbagai bentuk pengasuhan yang diberikan orang tua yaitu Otoriter, demokratis dan permisif menentukan kepribadian anaknya nanti. Kepribadian dapat dilihat berdasarkan Big Five Personality. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan kepribadian pada remaja di SMP Negeri 1 Remboken. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden terdiri dari 115 remaja kelas IX dengan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner pola asuh dan kuesioner Big Five Personality. Hasil Uji uji Pearson Chi-square yang didapatkan lebih kecil dari nilai signifikan (α=0,05) pada kepribadian Conscientiouness (ρ=0,000), Ekstravertion (ρ=0,005), dan Neoriticism (ρ=0,000). Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kepribadian Conscientiouness, Ekstravertion & Neoriticism.Kata kunci : Kepribadian, big five personality, pola asuh, remaja

Abstract   The objective of this research is to find out the use of Whatsapp Messenger as a mobile media to learn writing in EFL classes.Several researchers have attempted to prove applicability of mobile learning as modern ways of teaching and learning (Naismith, 2004:115). Moreover, applying portable technologies have been demanded by most of the modern learners who oftentimes are forced to study anywhere, and anytime, for example, at work, in the bus or at weekends (Evans, 2008:115).The research was motivated by the students’ difficulties in writing. The sample of this research was three classes of first grade students of English Department of Unswagati. The instrument of this research was questionnaire sheet. Data from questionnaire sheet was analyzed based on the frequency students’ answers and then was calculated and interpreted into percentages. The result shows WhatsApp Messenger attracts the students interest and also the students have positive responses towards the using ofWhatsAppMessenger. In applying WhatsApp group, the writer concluded that, learning using WhatsApp group has effective to develop their creativity in writing skill. On the other hand, the result from the questionnaire sheet indicated that almost of students is active in learning to writing recount text. Students can learn out of the classroom. Beside WhatsApp can be used privately, it can be used for students’ education. The students can use their gadget positively for their ability in learning English. The students can improve their knowledge in learning ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies). Abstract : Pipetting is one of the most important activities in health laboratory analysis. Knowledge of pipetting must be owned by every health laboratory. Students of health analyst as a candidate of health laboratory who will become medical support service unit is expected to be able to do the pipetting precision and accurately. To get a thorough and accurate results then the results of the analysis must be located within a specifc control area and both in precision and accuracy. Precision and accuracy are responsible for analytical interpretation of test results and testing procedures. The method use in this research is the forward method by 61 people research samples which determined by simple random sampling. While the research design used was observational analytics. Based on the results of the research obtained the level of knowledge of respondents research is 71,38; precision pipetting 99,69% and accuracy pipetting 99,58%. From the data that has been obtained then analyzed statistically using tau kendau test. The result indicates that the level of knowledge and precision has a p=0,640 and correlation coeffcient of -0,044 so that the Ho is accepted, meaning there is no relationship between the level of knowledge and precision meaningful. Meanwhile, the level of knowledge and accuracy of the p=0,574 and correlation coeffcient value is -0,053 so that Ho is accepted, it means there is no relationship between the level of knowledge with accuracy. Abstrak: Pemipetan merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang sangat penting dalam analisa laboratorium kesehatan. Pengetahuan pemipetan harus dimiliki oleh setiap tenaga laboratorium kesehatan. Mahasiswa analis kesehatan sebagai calon tenaga laboratorium kesehatan yang akan menjadi unit pelayanan penunjang medis diharapkan mampu melakukan pemipetan dengan teliti dan akurat. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang teliti dan akurat maka hasil analisa harus terletak di dalam daerah kontrol tertentu dan baik dalam presisi maupun akurasi. Presisi dan akurasi bertanggung jawab terhadap interpretasi analitik hasil pengujian serta prosedur pengujian. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode forward oleh sampel penelitian sebanyak 61 orang yang ditentukan secara simple random sampling. Sedangkan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai tingkat pengetahuan responden penelitian adalah 71,38; presisi pemipetan 99,69% dan akurasi pemipetannya 99,58%. Dari data yang telah didapatkan kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji kendal tau. Untuk tingkat pengetahuan dengan presisi didapatkan hasil nilai p=0,640 dan koefsien korelasi -0,044 sehingga Ho diterima, berarti tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan presisi. Untuk tingkat pengetahuan dengan akurasi nilai p=0,574 dan koefsien korelasi adalah -0,053 sehingga Ho diterima, berarti tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan akurasi.

<p>The purpose of this study is to find and analyze the effect of feedback on <br />learning outcomes in mathematics and an interest in basic statistics course. The <br />population in this study are affordable Information Technology Student cademic Year 2012/2013 Semester II Indraprasta PGRI University of South Jakarta. Sample The study sample was obtained through random sampling. This study used an experimental method to the analysis using the MANOVA test. This study has three variables, consisting of: one independent variable, namely the provision of feedback (immediate and delayed), and two dependent variable is the result of interest in the study of mathematics and basic statistics course. The data was collected for the test results to learn mathematics, and a questionnaire for the interest in basic statistics course. Collected data were analyzed using the MANOVA test. Before the data were analyzed, first performed descriptive statistical analysis and test data analysis requirements (test data normality and homogeneity of covariance matrices). The results show that the learning outcomes of interest in mathematics and basic statistics course for students who are given immediate feedback higher than students given feedback delayed. <br /><br /></p>

The purpose of this research are : 1) knowing the process of developing interactive with using Adobe Flash CS3 Professional media, 2) knowing the effectiveness of interactive learning with using Adobe Flash CS3 Professional media, 3). knowing the ability of students' mathematical understanding after using the Adobe Flash CS3 Professional media. The type of research is Research and Development (R & D) with One-Group Pretest-Posttest. The research was conducted at Mardi Waluya 2 Sukabumi Junior High School in the 2018/2019 semester event. The writer take the population of this study is on VII class. The sample used simple random sampling and for the instruments used were validation questionnaires media and tests. Data analysis techniques are using the Likert scale for validation questionnaires media, using the T test to determine effectiveness, and N-Gain to determine the increase in students' mathematical understanding skills. Interactive learning media are valued by media experts and material experts, with the results obtained that are valid so that they can be used in learning. The results of the effectiveness test are Thit (8.78)> T table (1,699) with a significant level used which is 5%. With high criteria of N-Gain test results are 75.61. Based on the results of these studies, interactive learning with using Adobe Flash CS3 Professional media can be effective in learning and can improve students' of mathematical understanding skills.

Abstract Learning outcomes are changes in behavior obtained by students after experiencing learning activities. Learning outcomes include three domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. High and low learning outcomes achieved by students are influenced by factors of the family environment, social environment, and the association of students with peers. This study aims to analyze the influence partially (individually) or simultaneously (together) between the family environment, social environment and peer relationships simultaneously on learning outcomes. The method used is quantitative with explanatory research types and research samples of 69 students or 31% of the population taken using proportional random sampling techniques. The results showed that the family environment Social environment and peer relationships affect learning outcomes

The present study is employed to understand the relationship between self esteemand reading ability of Indonesian EFL students. The study was conducted on bothIndonesian male and female graduate students of English department in aPostgraduate school in Bandung. During the research, questionnaire developed byHyde (1979 in Bagheri, et al., 2012) was used as the research instrument to obtainthe score of students‟ self esteem. In addition, the data of reading score werecollected from TOEFL score which has been standardized. Those instrumentswere administered in one session. The data were analyzed by Pearson momentcorrelation to identify the relationship between two variables. The result of thisstudy showed that the null hypothesis of this study is rejected. Sincetheprobability value of students‟ self esteem is lower than the level of significant(.697>0.05). It indicates that there is a correlation between self esteemandstudents‟ reading ability.Keywords: Self-Esteem , reading Ability
