Learning method approach is one element of increasing student achievement index. In this study will be more focused on efforts to overcome the causes of the low learning outcomes of third semester students of the second semester in the Health Promotion course in the Department of Nursing Ambon. The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental. The population in this study were students of Maluku Health Ministry Polytechnic. The sample in this study was the third semester students of the Department of Nursing at the Maluku Ministry of Nursing. Based on the results of the research, Health Promotion learning outcomes using peer tutor learning models are more effective than learning using conventional learning models in terms of improving learning outcomes. This is shown from the results of the t test or the two average difference test where the difference in the average gain value of the experiment with the average gain control value is 0.47 - 0.32 = 0.15, and when interpreted the gain value is relatively low, then from the results of the t test obtained t count = 17.94> t table (2.048) which means H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there are significant changes between student learning outcomes before and after using peer tutoring learning models in learning Health Promotion. Introduction: Roselle plants (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is one of the herbs that began to be used by the community. Benefits of this plant is quite a lot for health. The portion taken for consumption is the red flower petals. oselle tea is one of the sour beverages which can affect the salivary gland secretion. The purpose of this study is to analyzed the difference of salivary volume before and after drinking roselle tea. Methods: This study has been conducted to 40 students of Faculty of Dentistry, Padjadjaran University, ranging from 18-23 years of age with good general condition. This study is quasi-experimental in vitro study using the paired test analysis with α = 0,05 of the data collected from salivary volume. Results: The result of study indicates that the average of salivary volume before drinking roselle tea is 1,90 milliliter. After drinking roselle tea, the average of salivary volume is 4,54 milliliter. The result of paired test analysis shows that t-test is 16,172 and t-table is 2,022. The value of t-test > t-table. Result of statistic shown there is significant difference of salivary volume before and after drinking roselle tea. Conclusion: There is a difference of salivary volume before and after drinking roselle tea.

This study aims to find out (1) the POGIL learning model effective on mathematical communication skills. (2) conventional learning models are effective against mathematical communication skills. (3) the difference between the POGIL learning model and the conventional model of mathematical communication skills. This research is quasi-experimental research with the research design of The Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study is all students of grade VII MTS Negeri 02 Kerinci. This study's sample consisted of an experimental class and a control class selected by a random sampling cluster. The research instrument is a test f mathematical communication ability, and the data is analyzed using one-sample t-test statistics and independent t-test samples. This study shows that (1) the POGIL learning model is effective on mathematical communication skills. (2) conventional learning models are ineffective against mathematical communication skills. (3) there is a difference between the POGIL learning model and the conventional model of mathematical communication skills.

Abstrak: tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik; (2) untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan interpersonal tinggi  dengan siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan interpersonal rendah; (3) untuk mengetahui interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kecerdasan interpersonal dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Katolik. Metode dalam penelitian quasi-eksperimen. Desain penelitian faktorial 2 x 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Katolik siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD; (2) Hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan interpersonal tinggi lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan interpersonal rendah; dan (3)             Terdapat nteraksi antara model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan kecerdasan interpersonal dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar PAK.  Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran, kooperatif tipe JIGSAW dan STAD, kecerdasan interpersonal, pendidikan agama katolik Abstract: the objectives of this study are (1) to find out the differences in student learning outcomes that are taught using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model and the STAD type cooperative learning model in Catholic Religious Education subjects; (2) to find out the difference in learning outcomes of students who have high interpersonal intelligence and students who have low interpersonal intelligence; (3) to determine the interaction between learning models and interpersonal intelligence in influencing the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education. Methods in quasi-experimental research. 2 x 2 factorial research design. The results showed that: (1) The learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education students with a jigsaw type cooperative learning model were better than the STAD type cooperative learning model; (2) The learning outcomes of students who have high interpersonal intelligence are better than the learning outcomes of students who have low interpersonal intelligence; and (3) There is interaction between cooperative learning models and interpersonal intelligence in influencing PAK learning outcomes. Keywords: learning models, JIGSAW and STAD cooperative types, interpersonal intelligence, catholic religious education

<p><em>This paper describes some activities that the author has designed using Project Based Learning (PBL) to develop students’ understanding of statistics. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest quantitative research design. The subjects in this study are 30 students of class VII in SMP Negeri 6, Surabaya, Indonesia. The data collected using a questionnaire and a test. The validity of students’ response used product-moment correlations and the reliability test used the Cronbach’s Alpha formula, and the hypothesis was tested using the t-test (one sample t-test). The results showed that the positive response of students using PBL design to expand mathematics students’ understanding of statistics, namely 85.83%. Furthermore, there was a difference in the students’ learning outcomes before and after they learned through the PBL learning design, indicated by pretest the mean of score is 38.30 and a posttest mean score is 67.17. Besides that, t<sub>observed</sub> of pretest is 15.931 and t<sub>observed</sub> of posttest is 34.655, both are greater than t<sub>table</sub> with a significant level ?=0.05 is 2.042. Thus, we could be concludes that there as a difference the understanding of statistics students’ outcome before and after learning with PBL design.</em></p>

Background: The important aspect for child especially children with mental retardation is oral health. Children with mental retardation have limitations in motoric activities that relate to the actions of dental hygiene in normally, that activities is toothbrushing and it can do by bass and horizontal method. The aim of this study is to know the difference effectiveness toothbrushing with bass and horizontal method on the changed of plaque index in children with mental retardation. Method: The quasi experimental methods with non-equivalent group design with post test design was used in this research and have done on 24 children with mild mental retardation at SDLB Purwosari Kudus which divided two groups, 12 students brushing with bass method and 12 students brushing with horizontal method. Result: The data were tested with paired t-test to compare plaque index before and after toothbrushing with bass and horizontal method, showed that there were meaningful differences (p<0,05). Independent t-test to compare the changed of plaque index between both methods, showed that there were no meaningful differences (p>0,05). Conclusion: It concluded that both bass and horizontal method effectively on the changed of plaque index in children with mental retardation. There was no difference effectiveness between both methods.

Abstrak Rendahnya kualitas pendidikan disebabkan oleh hasil belajar siswa di beberapa mata pelajaran yang terbilang rendah. Hal tersebut didukung oleh data hasil belajar PAS IPA siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Diponegoro Kabupaten Pati yang terbilang rendah. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurang mengetahui model yang cocok digunakan saat pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji keefektifan model make a match berbantuan kartu bergambar terhadap hasil belajar ipa siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Diponegoro Kabupaten Pati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas IV SDN Tambahmulyo 01 sebanyak 18 siswa dan kelas IV SDN Tambahmulyo 02 sebanyak 14 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen, kelas IV SDN Sonorejo sebanyak 26 siswa dan kelas IV SDN Kedungmulyo sebanyak 18 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan uji-t untuk menguji perbedaan rata-rata kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan Independent sample t-test menunjukkan jika nilai (2-tailed) < 0,05 ,karena hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kolom (2-tailed) yaitu sebesar 0,000 yang berarti lebih kecil dari 0,05. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model make a match berbantuan kartu bergambar efektif digunakan dalam pelajaran IPA. Saran guru dan siswa diharapkan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran Make a Match berbantuan kartu bergambar dalam pembelajaran di kelas dan untuk agar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sehingga mutu sekolah meningkat. The low quality of education was caused by student learning outcomes in several subjects that are fairly low. This was supported by the data on learning outcomes of the PAS IPA fourth-grade Diponegoro Elementary School in Pati Regency which is relatively low. One of the reasons is not knowing the suitable model to use when learning. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of the models make a match aided by picture cards on the learning outcomes of the fourth-grade students of the Diponegoro Elementary School in Pati Regency. This research used quantitative methods and quasi-experimental research types. The sample of this research divided into 2 clusters, both of the clusters was taken at the fourth-grade. Tambahmulyo 01's Elementary School (18 students) and Tambahmulyo 02's Elementary School (14 students) were as an experimental class, Sonorejo Elementary School (26 students), and Kedungmulyo Elementary School (18 students) were as a control class. Learning outcomes data were analyzed by using a t-test to test the difference in the average of the control class and the experimental class. The results of the Independent sample t-test indicate if the value (2-tailed) <0.05, due to the results of the study indicate the column (2-tailed) is equal to 0,000 which means it is smaller than 0.05. The conclusion of the research from the models make a match aided by picture cards is effectively used in science lessons. The suggestions for teachers and students are expected to apply the Model of Make a Match aided by picture cards in classroom learning and improved the school quality by improving the students learning outcomes.

The result of student's mathematics learning is low. This study aims to determine the tendency of mathematics learning outcomes using cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) and using conventional learning. The method used in this research is kuantitatif with Quasi Experimental Design approach. Result of analysis by using t-test if sig value <0,05. From the t-test results obtained sig value = 0.002 which means 0.002 <0.05, then the hypothesis proposed accepted and significant. There is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of Mathematics between the lessons using cooperative learning models of teams games tournament type (TGT) and those using conventional learning. Judging from the results of the cooperative model of cooperative learning type of teams games tournament (TGT) is higher than the use of conventional learning.

<p>The aims of this study was to determine the ability to master the concept of elementary school students through the implementation of critical multiliteracy learning models. This research was conducted on fifth grade students of elementary school. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method. The participants in this study amounted to 39 students. Data was collected using tests and rubric. Analysis of data in this research using the t test with SPSS version 20.0 program for windows. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the mastery ability of the explanatory text concept of students experienced a significant increase and was included in the sufficient category. This can be seen from the pretest score obtained by students at 34.74 and the posttest results at 64.23. Based on the results of the t test the significance value is 0.00˂0.05 thus it can be concluded that there are significant differences between the mastery of students' concepts before and after being given treatment using critical multiliteracy learning models.</p>

ABSTRAKProgram pemeriksaan IVA dicanangkan agar semua wanita usia subur mau melakukan pemeriksaan IVA, namun cakupan pemeriksaan IVA masih dibawah target nasional. Upaya promosi kesehatan tentang  kanker serviks sudah dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan leaflet  tetapi masih kurang efektif dan menarik. Media elektronik seperti video diharapkan lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami.Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan umum untuk menganalisis efektifitas media promosi kesehatan tentang deteksi dini kanker serviks  dengan IVA. Populasi dalam penelitian  adalah wanita usia subur yang ada di Puskesmas Bergas. Sampelnya  Wanita usia subur  berjumlah 40 responden.Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan  simple random sampling. Instrumen yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah video, Leaflet dan kuesioner. Metode yang dipakai adalah eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan pre-posttest design. Analisis dilakukan dengan uji beda Wilcoxon, uji untuk melihat keefektifanan media menggunakan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok leaflet   ( p = 0,0001), ada perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok video    ( p = 0,0001). Media video lebih efektif pada upaya promosi kesehatan (p = 0,016 ). Some efforts to promote health about cervical cancer have been carried out by using lecture and leaflet methods but they are still less effective and interesting. Electronic media such as videos are expected to be more interesting and easier to understand. This study had a general objective to analyze the effectiveness of health promotion media on early detection of cervical cancer using IVA. The populatin in this study  was productive age womens in the puskesmas bergas. The sampel was productive age women 40 respondont.Sampling technique with simple random sampling.The Instrument used in this research are video,leaflet and questionnaer. The method used quasi-experimental with a pre-posttest design approach. The analysis was carried out by using the difference test of Wilcoxon, while the test to see the effectiveness of the media used the Mann Whitney test. The results showed the differences of knowledge before and after the treatment in the leaflet group (p = 0.0001), the differences of knowledge before and after the treatment in the video group (p = 0,0001). Video media are more effective in health promotion efforts (p = 0.016). <div align="center"><table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="543"><p>This research purpose is (1) to know the difference of learning outcomes from the utilization of video tutorials and peer tutors (2) to find out the effectiveness between the utilization of video tutorials and peer tutors  towards students’s learning outcomes on 2 dimensional Animation Technique subject at second grade.</p><p>Research method used in this research is quantitative method of quasi experimental with pre-test and post-test type. Data collection techniques in this reasearch with (1) observation (2) t test by using a pre-test and post-test (3) and documentation.</p><p>The results obtained from this research are (1) there are differences of learning outcomes of students between utilization of video tutorial and peer tutors with the calculated of post-test value of each class using the t test independet amounted to 0,032. (2) the utilization of peer tutors in this research is more effective than the utilization of video tutorials, this calculation outcomes obtained from a test of gain in each class. On video tutorial class gets the calculation outcomes of 0.32, while on peer tutor class gets the calculation outcomes of 0.58.</p></td></tr><tr><td valign="top" width="543"><p>Keywords: video tutorials, peer tutor, 2 dimensional animation, learning outcomes</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>
