It is common for people to develop diseases in the body and to follow various medical procedures as a remedy. The practice of seeking English medicine for some of the simplest diseases is largely absent from the rural population. However, some people consider it polite to seek hospitalization even for minor ailments in daily life such as fever, headache and cataracts. The people of Mettur Region to cure their ailments in a simple manner by following traditional medicine or hand medicine.Remedies like herbal remedies for acne, migraine headaches, nausea, headaches and mouth sores. Traditional medicine is found in those who are intoxicated and poisoned.

This study regarding the selection of treatment between traditional medicine or medical treatment that is utilized by the community in an effort to cure disease. Doctors and shaman are two professions are known to the public, but using a different way. The aim of this research was to determine the meaning of a healthy and pain for the people of Jeru, know the reasons for choosing the traditional healing methods (shaman) or methods of medical treatment (doctor), and determine the factors that drive to determine the method of treatment. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach. The research location selected is Jeru Village, District Tumpang, Malang. This location was chosen as the study site because in this village still found a system of traditional medicine (shaman), and can still be found some medical personnel and some healers (shaman) are frequently visited by the public. Jeru’s people including homogeneous society. Determination of informants consists of 24 informants consisting of offender treatment, the patient, family, and also family health actors. In collecting the data, researchers used observation and interview techniques. Jeru’s society looked healthy and sick are people who feel the presence and absence of disturbances in the body when carrying out its activities. The reason for choosing a method of healing is based on trust, severity of illness, and the cause of the disease. The factors that drive a person to determine the treatment method chosen is based on internal and external factors. Internal comes from a person who wants a cure, while external factors derived from the experience of the people or the community who had suffered from the same disease, and healing which had healed. Early action before choosing between traditional healing or healing of the medical treatment itself. If it is the disease getting worse, then the sick person is looking for other relief efforts, which include traditional medicine, or medical treatment

Background: Oral cancer is one of the easily diagnosed cancer as compared to the cancers of other parts of the body as the mouth is easily accessible for self or clinical examination. But, it is frequently diagnosed in advanced stage as the population lack the knowledge about the causes and signs & symptoms of oral cancer. Though many studies are there describing this issue, scanty literature is available relevant to knowledge, attitude and practice regarding oral cancer especially in rural areas which needs attention. Aim: To assess knowledge, attitude and practice of rural population of Wardha district regarding Oral cancer. Methodology: This questionnaire based prospective study will include 1000 subjects who will be able to read and understand the questionnaire. Self-administered questionnaire prepared in local language (Marathi / Hindi) of the rural population of Wardha district will be administered. Questionnaire will be comprised of two parts. First part request demographic information and the second section contain 18 questions regarding knowledge, attitude and practice regarding oral cancer. All the questionnaire responses will be recorded in tabular format and subjected to statistical analysis. Expected Results: In rural area of Wardha District in the Indian state of Maharashtra, there may be majority of the people, still having minimal knowledge regarding oral cancer and its causes marking a high percentage when compared to the urban. Thus, this study will be an attempt to evaluate the awareness and access the knowledge of the rural public regarding oral cancer. Conclusion: The knowledge about the risk factors, sign and symptoms of oral cancer amongst the rural population can be useful for the prevention and early diagnosis of oral cancer, and thus reducing the oral cancer burden of the society.

Medicinal plants are one of the important components in medicine, which are traditional herbal remedies and have been used since hundreds of years ago, to solve various health problems it faces. Therefore traditional medicine needs to be nurtured, cared for and preserved, because it is a wealth of Indonesian culture. This study aims to obtain data on the number and type of medicinal plants as well as the use of medicinal plants, among others, how to mix medicinal ingredients, how to treat them and their efficacy by the people in Semandang Kiri Village, Simpang Hulu Subdistrict, Ketapang Regency. The benefits of this study are expected to be able to take action to preserve the existence of traditional medicinal plants so that they can be utilized optimally and sustainably by the people in the Semandang left village in the upstream intersection of Ketapang Regency, and can provide useful information on medicinal plants. This research is descriptive in nature using the snowball sampling technique or carried out sequentially by asking for information on the person interviewed or contacted beforehand. Based on the results of research on the types of medicinal plants used by communities around the Semandang Kiri village, the upstream intersection of Ketapang District, 56 species of medicinal plants were found in 38 families and the use of medicinal plants most utilized from 56 species.Keywords: Medicinal plants, utilization, traditional medicine

Abstrak Sejak dahulu nenek moyang kita telah menciptakan berbagai ramuan obat yang berasal dari tumbuh-tumbuhan untuk mengobati sakit atau memelihara kesehatan. Tradisi tersebut di antaranya tertulis dalam naskah-naskah kuno yang tersebar di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Di antaranya disebutkan berbagai jenis penyakit yang sering diderita masyarakat dan berbagai jenis tumbuhan yang diramu untuk obatnya. Dalam perkembangannya, hasil riset para ahli mengungkapkan bahwa herbal yang digunakan dalam pengobatan tradisional tersebut terkandung berbagai zat yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa sistem pengetahuan tentang pengobatan tradisional di Desa Juntinyuat merupakan warisan dari leluhurnya. Masyarakat Juntinyuat hanya meneruskan tradisi pengobatan yang sudah ada. Pengobatan tradisional yang mereka lakukan mencakup semua jenis penyakit yang diderita. Mulai dari penyakit ringan sampai penyakit yang berat, bahkan untuk memelihara kebugaran  dan kesehatan badan.  Mereka merasakan manfaat pengobatan tradisional meskipun tingkat kemanjuran obat tersebut memerlukan waktu yang lebih lama. Bahkan lebih efektif digunakan untuk memelihara kesehatan daripada untuk penyembuhan. Dari situ  muncul tradisi minum jamu di kalangan masyarakat untuk memelihara kesehatan badan. Pengobatan tradisional ditempuh sebagai  upaya pertolongan pertama atau darurat sebelum berobat ke medis. Namun demikian, apabila penyakit tidak dapat disembuhkan secara medis atau pengobatan secara medis tidak terjangkau biayanya, masyarakat kembali lagi ke pengobatan tradisional.      Abstract  Our ancestors has created herbal remedies either to cure illnesses or for health care. Those recipes were written in old manuscripts and are scattered around Indonesia, mentioning some common diseases and herbs that cure them. Modern research reveals that herbs used by our ancestors contain elements that are beneficial to human health. The result of this research shows that knowledge system about traditional medicine in Desa/village Juntinyuat is inherited from their ancestors. The remedy covers ailment to severe diseases, as well as health care and body fitness. Although it takes quite long enough to get well, the people of Juntinyuat feel the remedies are very useful. They are even more useful for health care than to cure illnesses. This fact leads to practice of taking jamu (herbal medicine) for caring health, and this is the first aid before seeing the doctor. But, if seeing the doctor does not work and the cost is considered high, they will turn back to the traditional medicine.

It is flattering for the preservation of wellbeing and nourishment of the body.  The food of a society exposes its custom, prosperity, status, habits as well as it help to develop a culture. Food is one of the most important social indicators of a society. History of food carries a dynamic character in the socio- economic, political, and cultural realm of a society. The food is one of the obligatory components in our daily life. It occupied an obvious atmosphere for the augmentation of healthy life and anticipation against the diseases.  The food also shows a significant character in establishing cultural distinctiveness, and it reflects who we are. Food also reflected as the symbol of individuality, generosity, social status and religious believes etc in a civilized society. Food is not a discriminating aspect. It is the part of a culture, habits, addiction, and identity of a civilization.Food plays a symbolic role in the social activities the world over. It’s a universal sign of hospitality.[1]

Doing physical activity can make the body fit and increase the body's immunity to be able to fight the virus during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on this, sports activities are needed to invite people to maintain their physical health through healthy exercise activities which are held aimed at increasing people's interest in exercising during the Covid-19 pandemic during new normal so that their body endurance is better. This community service (PKM) is a form of real work from the Hamzanwadi University Physical Education and Health Study Program for the people of South Pringgasela Village to participate in healthy gymnastics as an effort to prevent Covid-19. Healthy gymnastics activities can increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining health in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Indonesia has 20,000 types of plants where 300 species have been used as traditional medicines. The use of traditional medicine as an alternative treatment in Indonesia that has been used by both rural and urban communities. The use of traditional medicine is considered safer than modern medicine. The purpose of this study was to identify the level of use of traditional medicine and public awareness in the use of traditional medicine in work area of  Health Center Gombong 1 which consists of 5 villages. This research is a non-experimental and descriptive research that uses a questionnaire. Respondents who participated in this study were 140 people. The characteristics of respondents who participated in this study were the majority of men (50,71%), last educated of elementary school (41,43%), as housewives (27,86%). The majority of people in work area of Health Center Gombong choose treatment with modern medicine (64,29%). In addition there are 35,71% using traditional medicine and the majority use rhizome species (46%) for the treatment of minor ailments. In this study also showed that the majority of people do not know the safety of traditional medicines (50%) due to lack of information so that information is needed on the benefits and safety and the use of good and appropriate traditional medicines.

Abstract: The phenomenon of the people who forcibly took covid's corpse 19 from the hospital to be taken care of by Fardhu Kifayah by his family and the community, became a conclusion that there was community doubt about the management of Tajhiz Mayat conducted by the hospital. Coupled with the circulation of the video of the Ruku movement 'in the corpse prayer conducted by unscrupulous parties at the Hospital, became added doubts from the public against the hospital. To solve this problem, this research uses a Descriptive Analysis approach, namely by formulating a question, namely How to arrange Covid 19's body in Banda Aceh and this question will be answered with several theories and data sets from the field. So it was concluded in a conclusion that answered the formulation of the problems mentioned. Theoretically the spread of covid 19 is very fast, the size of the virus is only 0.1 micrometer and is in body fluids, especially nasopharyngeal fluid and oropharyngeal fluids of infected people, fluids in the body of covid 19 bodies can get out through every gap of the body such as mouth, nose, eye and rectum, because it requires special techniques in its management. Fardhu kifayah to covid 19 bodies should be carried out by trained Ustad and trained health workers, so that the spread stopped. The results of this study concluded that the management of the Moslem bodies died at Zainal Abidin Hospital in Banda Aceh was in accordance with the Fatwa of the Aceh Ulama Council (MPU) and the bodies were handled by trained Ustad and health workers.
